Tis the brisk summer evenings in Equestria, though most evenings were mundane and quiet for the Princess of the Moon and Night. This night was to change the lives of two very mature mares and this is their story.
Applejack had been up all day working the fields and bucking apple trees, yet she could not sleep due to it being high time for a mare like herself to be in estrus.

"Luna, you have a crush on a mare?", Celestia asked, "No wonder you have been so odd for the past two nights after raising the Moon and Stars. I haven't seen you like this since we first met Discord". Celestia nuzzled her little sister warmly.
"So my little sister is asking me advice on how to ask a fellow mare out? She asked
"Yes my dear big sister I am", Luna said, looking down in a bit of embarrassment, "The mare in question is in fact the bearer of the Element of Honesty"
"Ah, yes dear Applejack", Celestia smiled and said, "Then it is a simple thing to accomplish for you. Just write a letter to her saying that you seek private council with her, then you admit your feelings to her and you've got her".
"Thank you sister for your advice... I'll do just that", Luna replied with a soft nuzzle and kiss to her elder sister's cheek before going to bed.
Early in the evening, before it was time to raise the Moon, Luna wrote an invitation letter to Applejack, and then headed outside to send it off and raise the Moon for another night of quiet and stillness.
Upon the next day, Applejack received a letter from Princess Luna, saying, "I seek a private council with just you. Please come alone my dear mare". Applejack just about fainted when reading it. It turns out, she too had a crush on the Princess of the Night. As soon as she came out of her feverish daze, she headed out to the nearest train in Ponyville and boarded it to head towards Canterlot, finally one of her lewdest crushes was going to be answered upon.
