A New Job Comes With New Responsibilities
Ever since the portal had between Equestria and Earth had been accidentally opened, and you fell through, you had gotten used to life in Equestria. You were, however, having some trouble holding a job. Mainly because you weren't used to half of the jobs, so you weren't exactly good at them. You were currently residing at Sugar Cube corner, living with a pony called Pinkie Pie. She was... different. Annoying, to be frank. But, a home was a home. But everything changed they day you found a job that sounded promising...
You were slowly walking around Ponyville, still learning the layout of the town, when an ad caught your eye. You walked up to it, and it read as follows: Needed: Somepony to work on the Pie Family Rock Farm for competitive bits per day. Work would include polishing rocks, picking rocks, and moving rocks. If interested, contact Maud Pie or Limestone Pie. You thought for a minute, then decided to apply for the job. You went back to Sugar Cube Corner, and walked to the upper level were you lived. Pinkie Pie was not around, so you packed your things, and left her a note, saying that you were going out to the rock farm to apply.
After about a fifteen minute walk, you found yourself at the train station. By now, most of the ponies in town had gotten used to you, and those who hadn't seen you had heard that there was a human living in Equestria. It had been quite an ordeal. Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna had both giving you lectures on how to behave, and Twilight had insisted on studying you for days on end. Then, things settled down, after Fluttershy was kind enough to convince everypony that you weren't a threat.
You walked up to the ticket station, and the pony behind the glass eyed you curiously.
“One ticket for the Pie Family Rock Farm, please.” you said.
“That will be twelve bits.” said the ticket pony. You pushed twelve gold coins with a horse head on them through the small opening in the window, and received your ticket. You nodded in thanks, and then boarded the train. You still found it somewhat strange to be surrounded by ponies that were half your size, but didn't give it a thought. You found an open seat, and sat down, looking out the window.
It wasn't a few minutes later, when you heard somepony speaking to you.
“Pardon me, um, sir, but do you mind if I sit here?” a refined voice asked. You turned to see a gray pony with black hair, and a purple bow tie around her neck. Octavia Melody.
“Sure! Don't mind me!” you said, scooting over to give her some room. She sat down, and looked at you in fascination.
“So you're Anon the human?” she asked.
“Yep. That's me. You're Octavia Melody, right? Cello player?” you asked. The gray pony blushed, and twirled a hoof in her mane.
“You've heard of me?” she asks shyly in her lovely British accent.
“You bet I have! I love your music. I've always been a fan of string instruments, and whenever I hear you play, I always feel like I'm back home.” you say. Octavia looked at you with her beautiful purple eyes.
“That's sweet of you to say. Have you ever been of one of my concerts?” she asked. You smiled.
“Every single one since I've been here. Had a one way conversation once with a white pony. Not even sure if she heard a word I said, though. She had a pair of headphones on her head she refused to remove.” you said. Octavia rolled her eyes.
“That sounds like Vinyl. She's my roommate, and is on the more... electronic side of the music career. I apologize for her behavior. She almost never removes her headphones.” she said.
Suddenly, the train lurched forward, providing such a jolt that Octavia fell forward, straight into your lap. She picked herself up quickly, obviously embarrassed.
“Oh dear. I do apologize!” she said.
“Don't sweat it.” you say, looking out the window. Both of you were silent for some time, as you watched the scenery fly past. You almost began to doze off when Octavia spoke.
“Are you looking for a job?” she asked. You looked towards her.
“Yeah, actually. How did you know?” you asked. Octavia pointed to the rock farm ad sticking out of your bag. “Oh, yeah. I was going to apply at the Pie family rock farm.” you say, pulling out the flier. Octavia looked slightly disgusted.
“Such dirty, laborious work. I know somepony that worked their, and they said it was very hard work.” she said. You were about to say something, when Octavia resumed. “You know, I could use somepony to help me, carrying my Cello, and preparing the stage. It's quite difficult to do without magic assistance.” she said, not looking at you. You looked down at her.
“You're offering me a job?” you asked. Octavia looked at you and smiled.
“Indeed I am. I’d have to check your background, mind you, but would you be interested?” she asked.
“Sure! If I get to listen to you play at every concert you have, I'm there!” you said.
“I'm going to Manehattan right now to do a concert. I can arrange a place for you to stay, or you could stay with me.” Octavia was silent for a moment, then added, “Staying with me would be a better choice, because... it's cheaper! And... um... yeah. Cheaper.” she said, looking away. You began to protest.
“I don't want to be an imposition.” you said. Octavia shook her head.
“It's no problem! I can't begin to pay you until next week anyway, and I don't want you spending the remaining bits you have on some cheap hotel, when I can just save you the money.” she said.
“Well, I feel like I should do some extra work then.” you say. Octavia began fiddling with her bow tie.
“I have some ideas.” she said, not looking at you.
About three hours later, the train began to slow. You looked out the window, and saw a towering city in the distance. Manehattan.
“Wow. It's way bigger than I thought.” you said. Octavia chuckled.
“It's nothing compared to New Yolk.” she said. As the train came to a stop, you stood up, and let Octavia enter the isle first, and volunteered to carry her things.
“What a gentlecolt you are! You're not even on payroll yet!” she said.
“No problem. I imagine you're under enough stress, so I'm glad to help out.” you reply. Octavia smiled. You followed her to a small apartment on the edge of town. When she opened the door, you discovered that the apartment was actually much roomier than it looked. It had a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a small living room.
“Wow. You live here?” you inquire.
“Only when I'm in town. I own many small places around Equestria, but primarily I live in Ponyville.” she said. You gently set Octavia's items on the floor, and sighed. “I really appreciate your help. Now I can go figure out the payroll. You can stay here if you'd like, or go explore Manehattan. Just meet me back here in an hour.” Octavia said.
You decided to go set up the stage for Octavia's performance that night. She had given you directions, so you rented a cart, and took the necessary supplies with you. When you arrived, your jaw dropped. The stage was enormous! It was half bubble shaped, and looked as though it would seat around five thousand ponies! You began taking some items from your cart, and set to work.
About fifty minutes later, you were finished, and so sweaty that you wondered if this is what it was like working on a farm. Applejack had often looked just as sweaty, but she never seemed to notice. You looked at your watch.
“Shit! I'm supposed to meet Octavia in ten minutes!” you said to yourself. You quickly grabbed the cart, and ran as fast as you could back down to Octavia's apartment. You arrived with just minutes to spare, and burst through the door. Octavia was busy in the kitchen. She jumped at the sound of the door banging open.
“Sweet Celestia Anon! You scared me!” she said, setting some plates on the small table.
“Sorry.” you said sheepishly. Octavia sniffed.
“I don't mean this in a bad way, but you smell. Take a shower. Can't have you smelling like that for my performance tonight.” she said, motioning towards the bathroom. “I'll have lunch ready when you're done.” she said. You nodded, and heading towards the bathroom.
As you finished drying yourself with a towel, you sniffed. Something smelled really good. You threw some new cloths on that Rarity had made you, and opened the door.
“Octavia, what smells so good?” you asked.
“Well, I just finished lunch. That may be it. My cooking isn't very good though.” she called. You walked into the kitchen, and gasped. The table was set with a candle in the middle, and neatly organized with napkins, silverware, and plates. On your plate was a bowl of some blue soup, and a small slice of bread on the side. Octavia noticed you eying the food, and looked embarrassed.
“I don't know what you eat, but I've made some depoisoned joke soup, and some herbal tea.” she said. You sniffed again.
“It smells good.” you said. Octavia blushed.
“Stop. My cooking isn't that good.” she said, sitting down across from you. You took a sip of the soup, and almost spit it out.
“Isn't that good?! Understatement of the year!” you exclaimed.
“You're too kind Anon.” Octavia said, avoiding your gaze.
“I'm serious! This is amazing.” you say. Octavia chuckles, and begins sipping her own bowl of soup. You both eat in silence until your both finished, and then you stand up.
“I can do the dishes.” you say.
“Anon! I can do them.” Octavia insists.
“No no, where I come from, the lady who cooks doesn't wash. And you certainly cooked!” you say.
“Celestia Anon, you've only been working for me for two hours, and you're already spoiling me.” Octavia says, pushing in her chair. You smile, and take her dishes.
As you drain the sink, and finish drying the dishes, you sigh, and lean back on the counter. Octavia walked in the room, and seemed surprised you were done.
“Wow. You're done already? That was fast.” she said. You smiled. “Well, I suppose we should go down to the park and set up the stage for my concert tonight.” she said half heartedly.
“I already set up the stage before lunch.” you said. Octavia's jaw dropped.
“Already?! It takes me over three hours to set up the stage!” she said. You flexed your biceps, and you could have sworn you heard Octavia whimper.
“It wasn't hard for me. Some of that stuff only weighs about one hundred pounds.” you said. Octavia was biting her lip so hard, you thought she might bite it off.
“W-well then, why don't we... uh, go talk a walk in the park, and let me see w-what you've done.” she stuttered. You couldn't place it, but suddenly, Octavia seemed very distracted.
“Sure. I think you'll like what I did.” you say, holding the door open for Octavia.
“Hmm. Now you've got me super curious!” Octavia whined playfully. You smirked, and waved your finger.
“You'll just have to wait until we get there!” you said, closing the apartment door behind you as you followed Octavia down the hall.
As you and Octavia entered the park, you looked down, and noticed Octavia looking at you. She quickly looked away before you could say anything.
“Well, here it is.” you say, rounding the corner towards the stage. Octavia's jaw dropped.
“You did all this?” she asked, her eyes sparkling. The old wooden stage had been painted, reinforced, had red silk curtain added, and a simple backdrop had been put in place.
“Well, I don't like to brag but...” you trailed off. Octavia couldn't take her eyes off of the stage.
“I-I can't believe it. This stage was so old, so beat up. I actually wasn't looking forward to playing tonight, because I was embarrassed about the stage.” she said, sitting down on the nearest bench. You sat down next to her.
“Hey, as long as you play the way you usually do, you have nothing to worry about. Ponies will love your music no matter where you play it.” you said. Octavia's eyes had tears in them.
“Oh Anon. You are so sweet. Nopony's ever said anything of the sort to me before.” she said, taking your hand in her hoofs. She looked around for a moment, and then motioned for you to come closer. You obeyed, and when your face was a mere inch from hers, she gave you a peck on the cheek. You sat back, somewhat bewildered by the fact that a pony had just kissed you.
“Octavia...” you began, but she put a hoof to your mouth, her face redder than a pepper.
“Relax Anon, I'm just showing you my gratitude. Nothing...more.” she said, resting her head on your lap. You lifted your hand hesitantly, and then gently began stroking Octavia's mane. She stretched her neck out and moaned.
“Mmm. That feels sooooo good.” she said, fully relaxing her body. You smiled, and continued petting her.
“Oh does it? What about this?” you ask, moving your fingers up behind Octavia's ears. You gently began scratching behind her ears.
“Ohhhh Celestia. Don't stop.” Octavia said, closing her eyes completely. After fifteen minutes, Octavia had completely fallen asleep, and looked completely adorable. You looked at the town clock, and noticed it was almost four o' clock. Octavia's performance was scheduled at six. You didn't want to wake Octavia from her peaceful slumber, so you gently picked her up, and held her to your chest, and began walking back to the apartment.
You gently opened the door to Octavia's apartment, and Octavia yawned.
“Mmm. Oh Celestia, did I fall asleep?” she asked.
“You could say that.” you said. Octavia then noticed that she was still in your arms, and looked positively embarrassed.
“Wh-why are you holding me so?” she asked, her face an angry shade of red. You quickly set her down.
“Oh, yeah. Sorry. You fell asleep at the park, and I didn't want to wake you, so I carried you back. Your concert starts soon.” you said. Octavia's eyes opened wide.
“The concert!! How could I have forgotten!? I need to get ready! Quick! Grab my Cello! I have to go back to the stage and set up. I need you to take my Cello down in ten minutes!” she said, scrambling for her things.
“Roger!” you said, quickly going to the closet and grabbing Octavia's Cello case, Cello already inside.
“Meet me down there!” Octavia hollered as she ran out the door.
As you entered the park, a swarm of ponies had gathered in front of the stage.
“Excuse me! Coming through!” you said. The crowd of ponies parted to let you and the Cello through. You hauled it up behind the curtain, and set it down with a sigh of relief. Octavia appeared before you, in a beautiful purple dress, no less. It went around her neck, and down to about an inch off the ground on her front legs, and hung freely off her flank to about the same height.
“Thank you so much Anon. I couldn't have had this concert on time if it weren't for you.” she said.
“Five minutes until curtains up!” somepony shouted. Octavia almost pushed you away, and flung her Cello case open. She gently took it out, and hauled it off to the center of the stage where she would be playing.
“I need you to stay off to the side, out of sight. But please, feel free to listen in.” she said, tuning the Cello.
“Oh believe me, I'll listen.” you say, quickly putting yourself out of sight as the curtain rose, and Octavia began playing her magic.
When Octavia had finished her performance about an hour later, and had come to the back of the stage, she found you in tears.
“Anon! What's wrong?” she asked, obviously concerned. You wiped your eyes, and sniffed.
“It's nothing.” You said, turning away from her. Octavia put her Cello away, and forcibly turned your head towards her, her violet eyes intently focused on you.
“Anon, as your employer, I need to know the state of my employee. What is wrong?” she asked. You sighed.
“Honestly, it was your music.” you said. Octavia took in a breath.
“What about it? It wasn't bad, was it?” she inquired. You chuckled.
“No, of course not. You're music was beautiful, and that's just it. Every time I hear you play, it makes me feel sad, because my mother used to play the Violin, and it reminds me that I'll never see her again. She's in a different world.” you say, trying not to cry. Octavia said nothing for the longest time, just sat in front of you, staring at you. Then, without warning, she put her hooves around your hand.
“I'm so sorry Anon. I didn't know.” she said, her eyes becoming moist.
“Why are you upset?” you asked, letting Octavia hold your hand in her hooves.
“I play because my mother wanted me to. She always told me about how it ran in the family. Then, one day, when I was oh, about ready to go live on my own, she mentioned it again, and I snapped. I yelled at her, telling her I didn't want anything to do with music, and to let me live my own life.” Octavia began sobbing. “That was the last thing I was ever able to say to her. S-she died a few hours...” Octavia broke down, sobbing violently. You put your hand on the back of her head, and pulled her against your chest. Octavia continued sobbing, and she put her hooves around you. You stroked her mane as she let it all out.
“It's okay Octavia. Shhh...” you whispered. Octavia looked up at your, her face streaked with tears.
“You couldn't possibly understand!” she said, suddenly appearing angry. You suddenly pushed her away, and stood up quickly.
“I don't understand? I don't understand!? I was ripped away from my parents! They're still alive, and I was taken from them! They have to live the rest of their lives wondering what happened to me!! And, believe it or not, the last thing I said to my parents wasn't that different from what you said!! So don't tell me I don't understand!” you said, sobbing in anger and sadness. You angrily pounded your fist on the wooden stage, and cracked the wood on impact. You sloped to the floor, and continued sobbing. You felt a hoof touch your shoulder, and looked up to see Octavia sitting next to you.
“I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you. I didn't know, or even consider what your parents might be like.” she said. You stopped sobbing, and took a deep breath.
“It's okay Octavia. I'm sorry to. I shouldn't have flipped.” you said, avoiding Octavia's eyes. Octavia thought for a minute, then spoke.
“Tell you what. Let's go back to the apartment. I have an idea of something that might cheer the both of us up.” she said. You shrugged, and followed her lead.
By the time you and Octavia arrived at her apartment, it was late into the night. You were quite exhausted, and but Octavia was all energy.
“I have a few things to do tonight, but you can sleep if you would like. Tomorrow, I have the day off before my next concert. I have some plans that I hope you will accompany me with. It wouldn't be the same with just one pony...er, person.” she said, unlocking the apartment door. You managed to stifle a yawn.
“Sounds good, I have no plans for tomorrow, or, ever. Still kinda new to everything around here.” Octavia smiled.
“I understand. The bedroom is down the hall, on the right. I'll join you in a few hours.” she said. She stiffened suddenly, and you arched an eyebrow. “That's not w-what I meant! It's a two bed room, so we can each have our own bed.” she said briskly.
“I assumed so.” you said. You quietly walked down the hall, and entered the bedroom.
It was a simple room. Two beds, side by side, with a lamp in between them. There was a single mirror on the wall, and a small window looking over the city. You managed to get under the pony sized covers, and fell asleep in mere seconds.
You quietly awoke in the middle of the night, and looked to your right. Octavia was sleeping quietly in the bed next to yours. Something about her sleeping was amusing to you. Like a stuffed animal in your bed. The thought only occurred for a moment. You rolled onto your back, and after staring at the ceiling for a while, fell back asleep.
“Anon! Wake up!” Octavia's voice woke you from your slumber. You groaned.
“What time is it?” you asked quietly.
“Nine o' clock. I let you sleep in as of your first night being so late. I'm sure your not used to it yet. You sat up, forgetting that you had went to bed shirtless. The covers fell of, revealing your muscular arms and chest. Octavia simply sat next to your bed for a moment, in silence. You stretched your arms, and Octavia quickly got up and hurried out of the room. Puzzled, you got out of bed, and got dressed. You combed your hair, brushed your teeth, and then walked into the kitchen. Octavia was not present.
“Octavia?” you called.
“I-I'm in the b-bathroom! I'll be a m-minute!” she called back. She sounded... funny. You ignored the thought, and began gathering some food to prepare for breakfast.
Fifteen minutes later, the table was set with eggs, milk, and a muffin for each plate. Just as you sat down to eat, Octavia entered the room.
“Dearest me, I apologize for the...” she paused when she saw the food on the table. “You made breakfast?” she asked.
“Yeah, I didn't know how long you'd be, so I made breakfast for us both. Do you like eggs?” you asked, gesturing to the plate. Octavia laughed.
“They're my favorite! I rarely have the time to make them for myself. Usually I'm busy all day everyday, tuning my cello, preparing for a concert, setting up schedule plans, or something else.” she sat down in the chair you had pulled out for her, and took a bite of the eggs. Her whole face lit up.
“Wow! These are incredible. What did you put in these?” she asked, taking another generous bite of the meal.
“I always liked to melt some cheese, and mix it in with the egg, I found it adds a nice touch to the yolk taste. I take it you like it?” you asked. Octavia nodded, still chewing.
“Is gud.” she said, trying to talk and chew at the same time. You almost snorted a laugh. A pony as refined as Octavia, talking with her mouth full.
After a filling breakfast, you washed the dishes while Octavia was paddling around the apartment, gathering a few things. As you dried the last dish, you spoke.
“You said you had plans for today that you'd like to do with me. What did you have in mind?” Octavia smiled.
“Well, since we both have the day off, I thought we might go on a train ride over to the Crystal Empire. It has been a while since I've been, and would like to see it again.” she said, putting a few things into a saddle bag. You took a breath.
“The Crystal Empire. I've only heard about it. Is it true, about the Crystal Ponies? That they shine in the sunlight?” you inquire. Octavia nodded.
“Crystal Ponies are quite special in that regard, but besides that, the Crystal Empire itself is a beautiful place. If we're lucky, we might run into Princess Cadence and Shining Armor.” she said. You became nervous. You hadn't seen any of the three Princess's since you had come into the Equestrian world.
“When do we leave?” you ask. Octavia looked at the clock.
“Well, if you're ready, now.” she said, throwing the saddle bag over her back.
“I'm ready. I can carry that for you.” you say, offering your hand. Octavia smiles.
“Anon, for Celestia's sake, have you always been such a gentlecolt?” she asked, gently setting the bag into your hand. You swung it over your shoulder, and followed Octavia out the door.
You and Octavia arrived at the train station, and were waiting for the next Crystal Empire train to arrive. You sat on a small bench, next to a turquoise unicorn, who was sitting different that all the other ponies you had seen. You decided not to pay her any more notice. After a few moments, a ear blasting whistle fired through the silence, and a shiny, sleek, crystal speed train came rocketing into the station. It looked to be made from solid crystal itself. It slowed to a stop, and the passenger doors opened. “All aboard for the Crystal Empire Express!!” said the conductor over the loudspeaker. You picked up Octavia's bag, and followed her onto the train. Once you both found your seats, she sighed.
“I've only been on the Crystal Express Train a few times. It's much more elegant than the standard Ponyville Express.” she said, looking out the window. To be honest, you didn't see much difference between the two trains besides speed and external appearance. The train lurched forward, and quickly picked up speed. Within minutes, empty fields and tree's were whizzing past. Octavia was reading a Crystal Empire brochure, leaving you to your thoughts.
You were now bored with your thoughts, and eventually found yourself looking at Octavia, who had decided to close her eyes. You had never noticed some things about her before. Her long, lush eyelashes, the beautiful flow of her mane, the beauty of her smile. You snickered to yourself. Here you were, having somewhat fantasizing thoughts about a pony, and you yourself weren't even a pony!
“Being away from my own kind for so long must be taking it's tole. I'm getting attracted to the females here.” you muttered to yourself. Out of the corner of your eye, you thought you saw Octavia smile.
A few hours later, the train arrived at the Crystal Empire. You picked up Octavia's bag, and followed her of the train.
“Well, this is it. The Crystal Empire.” Octavia said. You looked up at the towering Crystal skyscrapers, and lost your breath.
“It's. It's... amazing!” you breathed. Octavia laughed.
“Yes, it does have that effect of most of the newcomers.” she said. By the time you looked back down, Octavia was heading towards the station exit.
“Wait up Tavi!” you called, running after her. Octavia stopped dead.
“What did you just call me?” she asked, turning towards you. You blushed.
“Oh, sorry. I was just in a hurry. I didn't mean to call you...” Octavia motioned for you to shush.
“It's okay Anon. It's just been a while since anypony's called me that. Usually only those close to me, like Vinyl or my other friends call me that. You're a friend.” she said.
“Oh. Well, I'm sorry anyway.” you apologized.
As you and Octavia arrived to the edge of the Crystal Empire, you stopped suddenly. Before you, was Princess Cadence. Octavia noticed the Princess as well.
“Anon, you haven't spoken to Cadence in a while, have you?” she asked. You shuddered.
“Not since we first spoke when I arrived. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.” you said sheepishly. Before Octavia could say another word, the Princess noticed you.
“Anon! Hello! I haven't seen you in ages! How are you?” Cadence asked cheerfully. You forced a smile.
“Hello, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. I've been fine, thank you.” The pink Princess scoffed.
“Oh, come now Anon, lose the formalities. Call me Cadence.” she said. You regained some of your composure.
“Right. Sorry. I've been well, actually. Octavia has hired me to be her performance assistant.” you say, gesturing to Octavia, who was standing beside you.
“Wow! I'm glad to hear it! It sounds like you've been adjusting to Equestrian life better than we expected.” Cadence said. You looked around.
“We?” you asked. Before Cadence could respond, there was a brief flash of light, and then, standing before you, were the other two main Princess's. Celestia, and Luna. You lost your breath. Celestia stepped forward, and you noticed she was the only pony who could rival you in height.
“Yes Anon, we are all glad to hear that you've been adjusting well.” she said.
“Indeed, you have shone the signs of being contented the past few days... and nights.” Luna added. You blushed.
“I appreciate all the kind words, your majesties, but I can't be responsible for my contentment. Octavia has helped me find my place in this world. Besides an employer, she has become a close friend.” you said. Octavia looked up at you.
“You never told me that.” she said. You blushed again, but said nothing. The princess's turned to Octavia.
“I see. Well then, Miss Melody, thank you for helping Anon in his time of crisis. Is it alright if Anon comes to the castle for a few hours to discuss some matters with us?” Celestia asked. Octavia laughed nervously.
“Of course Princess, he may stay with you as long as needed. I had no important plans for the day.” she said. Princess Celestia smiled.
“Thank you Octavia, he will be returned to you before Luna raises the moon.” she said. Celestia bowed.
“I thank you, my princess’s.” she said. Octavia turned to you.
“Anon, I’m going to be in my apartment most likely when you are finished. Do you remember where I told you it was located?” she asked you. You nodded.
“The southern most edge of the Empire.” Octavia nodded.
“Well, I’ll be off then.” she said, picking up her bag.
You turned back towards the three Royalties.
“Prepare to be transported.” Luna said. Before you could say another word, there was an enormous flash of light, and all of the sudden, you were in what you believed to be the Royal Castle. The shock was so sudden, you fell backwards, right into Princess Celestia. She managed to catch you with her body, but not easily.
“Anon! Are you alright?” she asked, putting you back onto your feet. You quickly realized what had happened.
“OhmygodI’msosorry!” you babbled. Princess Celestia laughed.
“It’s no problem Anon. Not everypony responds to their first magical teleport easily.” Celestia’s words helped calm you down a bit.
“It’s fine, just maybe give me a little warning next time.” you said, running a hand through your hair. Celestia smiled.
“Certainly. Follow us please. We have something important to discuss with you. You obeyed, and followed the royal trio through the castle.
Once the princess’s had sat you down at a large, circular table, they insisted on pouring you some tea, before they sat down.
“Alright, Anon. First of all, how have you been? I haven’t spoken to you since you first arrived here.” Celestia asked. You took a sip of your tea.
“Well, I’ve made a living, doing odd jobs here and there. It wasn’t until recently that Octavia asked me to work for her.” you said.
“And how did thou meet Octavia, if you don’t mind our asking?” Princess Luna inquired. You almost laughed.
“Well, I wasn’t planning on meeting her. I was actually on a train to the Pie family rock farm, to get a job there, and as fate had it, Octavia sat down next to me, and we hit it off.” you said, realizing just how lucky it was that you met her.
“That’s nice to hear Anon. It sounds like you’re not having as much trouble as we thought you would making friends.” Cadence said. You nodded. The three royalties were quiet for a moment, then Cadence broke the silence.
“Anon, how much did you know about horses and ponies from your world.” You looked up from your tea cup.
“Uh, well, I mean, it wasn’t exactly a study of mine, but I knew that in my world, horses aren’t that different from ponies here, except they’re a lot larger. They eat hay, grass, flowers, like ponies here. They can run fast, wear horseshoes, and...” Princess Luna cut you off.
“So thou doesn’t know anything about… mating?” she asked. The teacup slipped out of your hand, and smashed onto the table, breaking it on impact.
“M-mating?” you stuttered. Celestia nodded.
“Anon, I don’t know about in your world, but in Equestria, mares routinely go through what is called “heat.” An almost uncontrollable urge to mate with a stallion. It happens to most mares roughly the same time of year. And they have to mate before they can go on with their normal lives. The urge just overpowers the mind.” she said. You tried to speak, but couldn’t find any words. You cleared your throat several times, then found your voice.
“Why are you telling me all this?” you asked, as if you didn’t already know the answer. Cadence looked serious.
“Well, mares don’t have to mate with other ponies to satisfy their… needs. There have been records of mares mating with Griffons, Zebras, and the occasional wild animal.” Princess Luna continued on that note.
“And certainly thou has noticed that your employer, Octavia, is quite female.” she said. You stiffened.
“Y-yeah, I-I guess so.” you choked. Celestia talked next.
“Anon, that time of year is now. And we have sensed that Octavia has no other male companions besides yourself. So, consider this meeting a warning. It goes against Octavia’s nature and style, but we think she may at some point try and… seduce you for her needs.” the princess finished. You froze.
“S-s-seduce me?” you whimpered. The princess’s nodded. You quickly stood up, almost knocking your chair onto the floor.
“Well, thanks for the warning, but I should really be going.” you said. The three princess’s nodded, and with that, you exited the room.
As you walked through the Empire, Luna rose the night sky, and you were deeply troubled.
“They have got to be wrong. Octavia would never do anything like that to me… would she? I’ve only known her for a few days, but I feel like I’ve known her for years.
You stopped for a moment, as a mare you were walking behind stopped to look in a display window. You weren’t planning on what happened next. In the swift turn of her body to look in the said window, her tail neglected to cover her marehood, and what you saw made you freeze. Her lips were puffy, and her marehood was leaking to such an extent, you wondered how it was possible nopony else noticed. Then you noticed her face. It was red. Not extremely noticeable, but it was red. You felt like you were going to vomit as you realize this mare wasn’t the only one. Another mare walked past you, in a similar condition. The princess’s were right. It was that time of year. You quickened your pace towards Octavia’s apartment, then stopped as a thought entered your head.
What were you going to do about her? Then you had an even worse feeling. She had said she planned to make this day “special.” You gulped, fearing you knew what that meant. All of the sudden, you weren’t in such a rush to get to the apartment.
As fate would have it, you eventually arrived at Octavia’s apartment. Most of the building was dark, which wasn’t really a surprise, considering it was nine o’ clock at night. You quietly opened Octavia’s door, and were surprised to see that room was dark as well.
“She must have already fallen asleep.” you said to yourself. But what you didn’t currently realize, was that she wasn’t even the slightest bit tired. As soon as you closed the door, you felt a hard blow to your head, and you fell onto the floor. As you felt darkness consume you, you thought you saw a set of gray hooves standing in front of you.
“Oh man...” you groaned as you felt a throbbing pain in your head. You opened your eyes, to find that you were laying on your back in bed. Just as you began to wonder if you were dreaming, you realized you couldn’t move your arms. You craned your head back, and found out that someone had tied your wrists to the bed frame. Then, your conversation with the Princess’s came to mind.
“Oh no.” you whispered.
“Ohh yes.” came a voice. You whipped your head around, to see a silhouette of a pony standing in the dark corner of the room.
“W-what do you want with me? I don’t have any money!” you protested as the figure walked closer.
“Oh, it’s not anything you own that I want, my dear Anon. It’s YOU that I want.” said the figure, coming into the moonlight shining through the window.
“O-Octavia?” you whimpered. It was indeed Octavia, but not like you’d ever seen her before. All her hair was down, some in front of her face, and then you realized what she was wearing. She had on… a black spiked collar, and a leather corset around her mid section.
“O-Octavia, w-what are you...” you couldn’t finish your sentence. The pony you were still having trouble believing was Octavia walked to the side of the bed.
“Oh Anon, surely you’ve figured it out by now.” she said in a low, sultry tone. She hopped onto the bed, and sat next to you, looking down on you with a wicked grin.
“You’ve heard about heat, haven’t you? About how it takes over the mind, and turns ponies into something else?” Octavia said, positioning herself between your legs, which happened to be spread out. You thanked your lucky stars you were still clothed.
“It’s what it turns mares into that most males don’t realize, until they experience it.” she continued. Octavia extended a hoof towards the bottom of your shirt, and what she was holding made your blood run cold. A rather sharp looking blade.
“Y-you’re not going to kill me, are you?” you whimpered. Octavia laughed, but it wasn’t a happy laugh. This laugh sounded pure evil.
“Oh Anon, I can’t kill you. I need you, not just as an assistant, but now, a toy.” she said. The blade hit the bottom of your shirt, and in one swift motion, cut the shirt all the way up to your neck, stopping mere inches from your throat.
“You’re crazy.” you whispered silently, as Octavia sliced off your pants.
“Crazy. Me? No. Heat doesn’t turn mares crazy.” she said, pulling off your underwear, letting your member stand proudly in full few. Octavia's eye's glistened with anticipation. You couldn’t believe you were erect at a time like this.
“Heat doesn’t make mares crazy...” Octavia said, positioning herself over your member. “IT MAKES THEM A SEX MONSTER!!” she shouted, before going full force on your erect cock.
Octavia began violently working her rather skilled tongue around your dick, twirling it around the top, and licking you up and down, all the way to your sack. Your body tensed violently. It was all you could do not to show her how good it felt.
“I’m...going...to...break you.” she said in between licks. Her tongue slowly covered your still proudly standing cock in saliva. “You’re...going...to...be...begging...for...MERCY!” she said, positioning herself over you.
“I already am.” you non-audibly whispered. Suddenly, with no warning, Octavia’s mouth enveloped your member. You groaned in pleasure as she slowly worked you up and down, not taking her eyes off you the entire time. She kept going down more, and more, until you thought she would choke, but she took your massive member no problem. You realized then Octavia had done this before, to some other poor creature! Your thoughts were shattered as Octavia suddenly picked up speed. You could feel your climax fast approaching.
“O-Octavia!” you shouted, unable to say more. She took the hint, and went faster. Suddenly, bucked your hips up in the air, and she shoved your entire member into her moist mouth. You came violently, shooting stream after stream into the back of Octavia’s waiting throat. When you were finished, she swallowed, and released your dick. You were panting like you had just run a marathon, but Octavia showed no sign of exhaustion. You closed your eyes, assuming it was over. But that didn’t last long. You felt something on your chest.
“Did you really think I was going to release you after that simple, unfortunately quick blowjob?” she asked, resting herself on your heaving chest, not helping your breathing situation. “I’ll give you five minutes to reload, and until then, you’ll continue to please me in other ways.” she said.
Before you could inquire what “other ways” were, she mashed her lips into yours, and began bombarding your mouth with her tongue. You tried to fight her tongue, but it was a pointless battle. You closed your eyes and let Octavia ravage your mouth. After a moment, she pulled away, and took a deep breath.
“Time’s up!” she said.
Octavia positioned herself so her glistening marehood was just inches from your face.
“Doctors recommend to get your fill of nutrients everyday. It’s time to get yours.” she said, promptly sitting on your face. She put all her weight onto your face, and you had no other choice. You stuck your tongue as far is could go inside her. You could feel her entire body stiffen with pleasure.
“Ohhh Celestia!” she said, grinding herself onto your face. You moved your tongue in a circular motion around her moist entrance, slowly at first. “Ohh Anoooon!” she breathed. You took that as your cue, and began swirling your tongue faster, lapping up the love juices that Octavia was leaking. You smiled at the taste. You decided after tasting Octavia, that it was pointless to resist her, so you decided to work with her. But you weren’t going to let her know that yet. You removed your tongue from Octavia’s puffed lips, much to her disappointment, and without warning, mashed your tongue into her ponut. She screamed in surprise.
“O-oh! Anon, did you finally decide to surrender yourself to me?” she asked, looking back at you. You said nothing, just continued to work your tongue. You moved to her teats, small but mighty. You placed your lips over one of her nipples, and sucked. Hard.
“A-Anon! Keep doing that!!” Octavia demanded.
As you drank Octavia’s warm milk, you began to push her towards the point of no return.
In mere moments, Octavia could feel her climax fast approaching.
“A-Anon. I’m…i’m gonna...” she couldn’t finish her sentence. You quickly left her teats alone, and placed your lips on her winking clit. You gave it a quick suck, and that pushed her over the edge. “OHHHH ANON!” she said, her whole body jerking upwards. Octavia’s spray pelted your face like a rainstorm. You rubbed your tongue around her, trying to milk her for all she had. Once she had finished, she shakily lifted herself off of your face. She turned around and rested herself on your chest once again.
“W-where did you learn that?” she stuttered. You laughed.
“Never learned. Just thought that’s what you wanted me to do.” you said. Octavia looked at you.
“Y-you mean that was your first time?” she asked. You nodded. Octavia cooed in your ear. “Well honey, you’re a natural. I’ve got one more thing we need to do. Together.” she said. Octavia bit the rope holding your arms to the bed frame, and you dropped your hands to your side.
“So...” Octavia began. You didn’t let her finish. You put a hand behind her head, and pulled her towards you. Your lips met in a beautiful embrace, and you enjoyed every moment of it. You explored her mouth with your tongue, and she let you. When you parted, Octavia wanted more. You gave her a little nibble on the ear.
“So, what about that last thing?” you asked knowingly.
“Ah, eager, are we?” Octavia asked, standing up. She loosened the leather corset from her body, and removed her spiked collar. She was herself, in her natural beauty. She slowly backed herself over your still proudly standing boner, and hovered there.
“You ready?” she asked.
“Are you?” you replied. Before you gave her a moment to answer, you put your hands on her shoulders, and forced her down.
“AHHHH!!!” she gasped as your length went inside her. You could feel her insides tighten around your member, naturally lubing you up. Octavia slowly rose up and down, taking more and more of you inside her. You placed your hands on her flank, not knowing how soft she really was. Octavia shuddered, and began rolling her hips as she went on milking you for all you were worth. You knew you weren’t going to last long if she kept this up, and had a feeling she wouldn’t either. You began bucking your hips, slamming yourself into her faster and faster.
“OH MARRY ME ANON! I’LL BE YOUR LOVE! I’LL BE YOUR EVERYTHING!” she shrieked.
“Tavi, I’m gonna...” you began.
“DO IT! DO IT! DO IT INSIDE MEEEE! I WANT TO FEEL YOUR LOVE INSIDE! I WANT YOU TO MAKE ME YOUR CUM DUMPSTER!!!” she raved. You lost all control, and as Octavia’s insides covered your dick in her ecstasy fluids, you shot your seed deep inside her womb.
“YES! OH YES ANON! IT FEELS WONDERFUL!!” she hollered. She bent forward and engaged you in a deep make out, all while you were still filling her up. Her stomach rippled as it began to expand, making more room as your seed filled it. Once you shot the last of your load inside her, she continued milking you for a few more seconds, wanting more. Octavia’s stomach was bloated to a considerable size, and had taken over her mid section. She rubbed her swollen gut lovingly.
“That’s all you big guy.” she said, calming down. You rested your head on her stomach, listening to the gurgling sounds of the fruit of your labors. “From now on Anon, you aren’t just my assistant. You are mine. Mine to keep.” she whispered, closing her eyes.
“I can’t imagine a better job.” you whispered back, before joining her in a world of dreams.
