"Well dear, it seems that human friend of Twilight's is coming over to our castle with his new wife," Cadence commented, a light smile on her face. "Apparently the wedding was spare-of-the-moment and no one saw it, but they will renew their vows soon, that way their friends can attend."
"I still think Twili should have at least been there..." huffed a grumpy Shining Armor. "He is her friend and should have invited her..."
Cadence giggled, "It was a quick on the spot arrangement, he invited her to the renewal ceremony..."
An uptight Shining just looked out off the balcony, being a father was obviously wearing him down... the guy was grumpy and tired. His adorable little daughter played on his back, for now. He knew he would have to chase her in a few seconds. I wonder if I can convince that human, Isaiah, and his pony wife to babysit... then I can rest, he thought to himself.
"Look there!" the princess exclaimed as the human with a green pegasi beside him could be seen nearing the castle.
Flurry heart got happy and flew toward them, "Wait!" Shining called and he ran into the castle and down the stares. I knew she would fly off soon... he groaned mentally as he prepared to retrieve her.
The royal couple went out to meat with the human/pony couple. Cadence had met Isaiah before in Celestia's court, the young ma had helped protect them against an odd creature made of lost souls that they had never faced before. After the ordeal she had a decent chat with him, he was a nice fellow. The human had auburn hair and brown eyes, his right arm had a mark that looked like a sword with a dragon shaped hilt.
"Pleasure to see you again, Isaiah!" Cadence greeted with a warm smile.
The human gave a thumbs up, "Good to see you as well Princess Mi Amore Cadenza."
Sunburst walked over to them, "Hey! Have not seen you in awhile!"
The human smiled, "Hey! Good to see you again Sun... Sun... Sun what'zit? Sun... boom?"
"SUNBURST!" the orange unicorn exploded, How can you say Cadence's full name correctly EVERYTIME and always get my name wrong!"
The human just shrugged... Flurry Heart plopping on his head before flying over to her mother.
Cadence laughed and turned to the pegasus mare beside Isaiah, "And who is the lucky lady?"
"Spearmint..." she said, seeming shy. Her eyes were dark green, her body light green, and her cutie mark was a peppermint leaf.
After Shining and Cadence shook her hoof they began to lead the two into the castle. Spearmint floated up and whispered in Isaiah's ear, "Do we have to do with... with them? You know I hate them right? Especially Cadence..."
Isaiah smiled warmly, channeling love toward her. "Don't worry dear, this is only for a day, I promised Twi I would see her brother this week, after today you and I will go somewhere far away. Then it will be just you, me, and love."
She smiled, the changeling queen loved how Isaiah's love felt when she fed on it... as it was meant for her and only her. Even though her lover meant this trip to be all good and fun, Chrysalis might as well make the best of it with some well timed revenge... but not to bad, she would rather not anger Isaiah right at this moment. Later she could claim true revenge, but right now Isaiah was to close. She could still do something small... they he would not notice. The poor man thinks I changed when I married him just because I finally love something... maybe I have... a little... but I still want to at least pull a prank. I need some kind of revenge after all. This disguise known as Spearmint will help me.
When in their room that the pair would be staying in Chrysalis revealed her true form. Isaiah of course was the only one near.
"There is my lovely creature I fell for!" the human chimed... his voice was surprisingly musical. He placed a hand gently on her cheek and she nuzzled into it.
"You flatter me..." she blushed. "Just one more reason I married you..."
"Other then a continuous supply of love to feed on?" the man giggled.
Chrysalis rolled her eyes but could not help but to let out a small giggle... he was partially right. She did feed on him but she also loved him in return. Yet at the same time... he was the only thing between her and true revenge... at least for now, she knew about his darker half that would love to help her destroy her enemies. The only thing she did not like was that the darker side of Isaiah, the Necrosign, felt no love... good thing it only lasted a few minutes.
Isaiah kissed her cheek and she smiled, she did love the sappy male who was skilled with a soul consuming sword and had a curse that turned him into a dragon if he lost control of his emotions. Why wouldn't? Well... other then his many enemies.
A guard walked in unannounced, Chrysalis quickly changed back. The guard rubbed his eyes... "Did... did... I... see..."
"See what?" Isaiah asked, playing dumb with a false look of confusion.
"I thought I saw Chrysalis..."
"Now why would Chrysalis be here?" asked Spearmint.
"You must be seeing things," commented Isaiah. "Were you up late drinking last night?"
The guard went pale... How did he know? , "Um... ya... it is probably the hangover... I am sorry I let my blurry vision get the best of me. Well... the Princess wants to see you both..."
In the throne room they were greeted by Sunburst.
"Hey Sumblaster!" Isaiah said.
The unicorn glared angrily at the human, "That is NOT my name!"
Isaiah seemed confused... he was sure he had it down this time... oh well. "So the princess wanted us?"
Sunburst nodded and led them to the Princess. He then bowed and left them alone. Spearmint noticed him nuzzling a pony in the corner of the room as he left... Starlight Glimmer! Well it seems I have more targets...
Isaiah and Cadence talked for some time, but Spearmint (*cough* Chrysalis *cough*) did not pay attention... she was planning revenge! In the form of tame pranks until her cute hubby was gone or goes dark, then TRUE REVENGE!
At dinner that day Starlight Glimmer came in and sat down next to Sunburst, only for a loud fart sound to play and a foul stench rise from her seat. She sat in horror and everyone, even Cadence, started to laugh... before needing to pinch their nose. Chrysalis smiled, whoopie cushion that was actually filled with a foul stench? Childish... but it would do for now...
Isaiah knew she planted it... he actually helped, maybe the knight was not the best influence for Chrysalis as he loved childish pranks...
That night Isaiah and Chrysalis cuddled each other in bed. The queen was in her true form and enjoyed the loving contact of her man. She loved him, and she could feel that he loved her... if only he were willing to let her get her revenge beyond a childish prank. But she had to admit, his moral code was part of what made him so great. And as for Isaiah's dark side, sure she could use him in that state to destroy Cadence and Starlight... she had to admit she did not like that version of him. Good Isaiah loves her, Chrysalis, but the other version hates everyone...
She kissed his forehead as he fell asleep. "I love you, the only thing that I am afraid of is that you might change me... I am not sure if I am ready for that, but I will stay with you."
The next mourning they left, "Bye Princess Mi Amore Cadenza! Bye Shining! Bye Flurry! Bye Sunblimp!" Isaiah said waving...
"Damn it Isaiah! Why can't you EVER say my name right! It is not that hard at all!" Sunburst complained. "You always say the princesses name right! But NEVER mine! How! Hers is so much harder!"
Isaiah just shrugged... he could have sworn he had it right that time...
Cadence giggled, "Fair well Isaiah and Spearmint. May your love take you both to new levels, enjoy the rest of your honeymoon!"
"We will," Spearmint shouted back at them with a smile. She then turned her head to an angel were they could not see and rolled her eyes. "As long as I don't have to gag on you for the rest of this trip... Princess Mi Amore Cadenza"
