He has now become a teacher for Frost, the Elemental of Ice. Flare's job is to train Frost to control his Elemental powers so that he can become stronger and help protect Equestria. To Frost, this was a great opportunity to redeem himself when he was under mind control. However to Flare, it was exhausting. Not only did he have to teach around 25 or 30 other recruits who want to join the Royal Guard, but now he has to teach another pony on a completely different subject. Fortunately for Flare, Twilight Sparkle had invited him to meet her friends at Canterlot High for the weekend. When Flare asked her about Canterlot High, she simply said that it was like our world, but different. That left Flare with only his imagination to wonder what Twilight meant by different. However Flare didn't worry to much about that. Flare found that this weekend excursion would be an excellent opportunity for him and Frost to get some proper training without his work getting in the way. It was Friday afternoon and Flare, Frost, and Twilight all gathered around the portal that was in Twilight's castle. They all seemed ready to go with their saddle bags and what not, but Frost seemed a bit off this morning. " Hey Frost, are you ok", Flare asked, a little concerned about how his friend was acting. " Do I have to go", Frost asked, hoping that the answer was no. Flare just rolled his eyes and sighed. " Yes Frost, I've told you this before. A weekend without my work getting in the way is the perfect opportunity for us to train so that you can get more in tuned to you Elemental powers", Flare said. " Don't forget though that the girls and I want to do other things for the weekend other than watching you boys train", Twilight said. " Of course Twilight, Frost and I wouldn't want to miss out on trying on new clothes at Rarity's boutique, or getting a mud bath at the spa", Flare said sarcastically. " Oh shut up Flare", Twilight said followed by a cute giggle. Flare soon joined in on the laughter. However Frost was not amused. " I know why I have to go, but why do I have to go through that", Frost said pointing at the portal. Flare looked at the portal, then back to Frost with a confused look. " Because this is the only way we can get from here to Canterlot High", Flare said. " Frost what's up with you and portals", Twilight asked. " I don't know really, maybe just the thought of going through a mysterias vortex and not knowing what's going to happen to you when entering just sort of puts me on edge", Frost said. " Frost there's nothing to worry about, right Twilight", Flare said. Twilight made a guilty look when she saw that Flare and Frost were both looking at her. " Well...you do sort of feel like you're being torn apart for a brief nano second", Twilight said. Frost made a sound gulp when he heard that, now he was more terrified then before. Flare then gave Twilight a serious glare. " Congratulations Twilight, now you scared him", Flare said. Twilight just rolled her eyes. " Belive me Flare, I was scared before she said that", Frost said feeling a little embarrassed. Flare then put his hoof on Frost's shoulder. " Frost, just trust us ok", Flare said. Frost then looked over to Twilight, who smiled and nodded, going along with Flare's statement. After some thought, Frost let out a deep breath, and nodded. " Fine, I'll do it", Frost said. " YAY", Flare and Twilight said while clapping. " Oh shut up", Frost said. Flare and Twilight were soon laughing, and soon Frost was joining in as well. After they had there laugh, Twilight spoke up. " Alright then, let's not waste any more time", Twilight said. " Agreed", Flare said. Twilight was the first one to go into the portal, soon Flare and Frost followed her lead. Little did Flare and Frost know, that this weekend would soon turn into one of the most intense battles of their life. Meanwhile at Canterlot High, just about 20 minutes away till Flare, Frost, and Twilight entered the portal It was Friday afternoon, school had just ended for the students at Canterlot High, and pretty much everyone was competing to see who could get to the buses or cars first. Pretty much everyone was having a good time now that the weekend has arrived, except for one boy. He wore dark red jeans, white shoes, and a red and white hoodie. His skin was tan, his eyes were ruby red, and his hair was red and white. His name was Fire Flare. Today, and like most days, was just another round of name calling and beatings. The only time Fire would feel relieved from the pain was on the weekends, where he would isolate himself from the world. However that fact slowly proved more worthless as Fire soon came to realize that it was only a matter of time before he had to face the pain again. Fire was all by himself in the hallways of his school, looking for his locker. When he reached it, he began to pile up his back pack with books and papers. That's when he heard the voice of a girl behind him. " Fire Flare", the girl said. Fire recognized that voice, he knew it all to well. However this was the voice that he dreaded for his entire time in high school. When Fire turned around, he expected no else other than that same girl. She was about the same age as he was, she wore a black leather jacket, along purple shirt underneath with a sun logo on it. She wore an orange, yellow, and purple skirt; along with black and purple boots. Her skin was an orangish tan color, she had light green eyes, and finally she had that distinguished red and yellow hair. Her name was Sunset Shimmer. Sunset had a look of worry ran across her face, on the contrary, Fire had a look of utter disgust on his face. " Well, well, well, if it isn't Sunset Shimmer, here to spread another false rumor about me. Oh wait no need, I made one up my self", Fire then pulls out a slip of paper from his back pack and clears his throat, " Fire Flare brutally beats up an innocent girl in a dark alley way. Rolls off the tongue doesn't it", Flare said. Sunset's face then showed more guilt then before. " I know that I've been mean to you in the past, but I-", Sunset said before being cut off by Fire. " Mean? Mean is pretty subtle wouldn't you say? Now evil would be the proper term to describe the utter hell that I went through for the past two years. Do you not realize what torment I had to suffer through because of you? The only reason I stay here is so I can finish my education, so I can get a well paying job, and getting out of this hellhole", Fire said. " I understand Fire Flare, and that's why I-", Sunset said before being interrupted again by Fire. " No, you will never understand. No one in this God forsaken school will ever understand what level of pain I had to endure through", Fire said. " Fire Flare, please just listen to me. I know what I did was wrong and I'm sorry for that. I came here today to apologies, and ask that we if we could start over as friends", Sunset said. At that moment, Fire grabbed her by the jacket and slammed her against the lockers. This sudden move shocked Sunset so much that she almost screamed. Sunset was soon filled with fear as she saw Fire's hatred in his eyes. " Are you that stupid to believe that after all you've done to me that we would automatically become friends. Hate to break to you sweetheart, but that's not how life works. You ruined my life, and I will never forgive you for that. I don't want your apology, and I don't want your friendship. All I want is for you to know that I hate you, and I don't want anything to do with you anymore", Fire said. Fire then roughly let sunset go, violently closed his locker, and stormed out of the school. Sunset was left there in utter fear, soon though Sunset went from scared to sad. And soon enough, she was crying. That's when Applejack came by and found her there, she went over to Sunset and comforted her. " It's ok sugar cube, let's just head to the statue, Twilight and her friend should be here soon", Applejack said. After wiping up her tears Sunset nodded. And with that Applejack and Sunset headed towards the statue where the others were. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Whole New World //-------------------------------------------------------// A Whole New World It was about a ten minutes after the bell rang for school to be over at Canterlot High. Most of the students had either taken the bus home, picked up by someone, or drove home themselves. However, at the statue of a horse that lies at the entrance of the school, were a group of six girls hanging around it, almost like they were waiting for someone else. These girls obviously would turn out to be the human counterparts of Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkiepie, and Applejack. The sixth one would be Sunset Shimmer, but she's the pony Sunset who came through the mirror. Sunset had just finished telling about the encounter with Fire to the girls, when she did she saw the looks of worry across all of the girls faces. "We're so sorry Sunset that it didn't work out", Rarity said. Sunset just shook her head. " I guess I should have expected it. I mean after all I've done to him, I'm not surprised he would react like this", Sunset said. " Even so, after what you described, he didn't have to be so, rough with you", Fluttershy said. " Yeah, talk about a party pooper", Pinkie Pie said. " Alright girls, how about we drop this subject for now. We invited Twilight over for the weekend to have fun, not to worry ourselves about a boy", Applejack said. Suddenly. Sunset picked up, like she had just remembered something. " Speaking of Twilight, she just recently sent me a letter via magic, and she said she would be bringing a special friend to join us. Who do you guys think she's bringing", Sunset said. Rainbow Dash suddenly made a smirk. " It's probably her new boyfriend", Rainbow said. Rarity made a scoff. " Oh come now Rainbow Dash, I'm sure if Twilight had a boyfriend, she would tell us", Rarity said. Rainbow Dash still took with here assumption though. About another 10 minutes of waiting, a portal appeared out of the statute the girls were waiting around. The girls all gathered around the portal with excitement. In only a few seconds, Twilight appeared from the portal in her human form. " TWILIGHT", The girls yelled with delight. " I'm back", Twilight said. All six girls came a gave her a big group hug. After that, Sunset started looking around Twilight with a bit of confusion, Twilight obviously caught on to this. " What's wrong Sunset", Twilight asked. " Didn't you say you were bringing someone with you", Sunset said. The other girls quickly caught on and started asking the same thing. " Actually, they should be hear soon", Twilight. " They", The girls asked at the same time. And just after that, two figures fell out of the portal and landed hard on the ground. The girls gasped as they saw one of the boys stand up. He looked just like human Fire Flare, except that this one had a scar on his left eye, and that instead of a red hoodie, he wore a dark red leather jacket with a white shirt underneath; also unlike human Fire Flare, this one seems to have some more muscle. Flare then started surveying and was both scared and confused. He then looked at himself and was even more horrified. " Holy crap", Flare said. Flare then looked up at the girls looking at him, and Flare was freaking out. " How in Celestias name are you doing that", Flare said, obviously talking about the girls standing like that. Flare was doing his best to mimic what they were doing, after some struggle, he managed to stand up like the rest. Twilight giggled. " It's ok Flare, I had a hard time getting used to walking like this when I first came here", Twilight said. Twilight then faced the other girls. " Girls, this is one of my closest friends, Fire Flare", Twilight said. Just her saying that name sent chills down the girls' spine, knowing that the other Fire Flare is not that far from here. " And what about that one", Rainbow said, pointing at the other boy. Flare looked down at where Rainbow was pointing at, and gasped at what he saw. It was Frost, but he looked like the rest in this world, he wore a dark blue jacket with white fur on the collar; he also had a light blue shirt underneath the jacket. He also wore dark blue jeans, and light blue shoes. When Frost looked at himself and at the others, he screamed like a mad man. " HOLY CRAP WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!!!! THIS IS WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT WITH THESE DAMN PORTALS. CRAZY SHIT LIKE THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS", Frost yelled. " Um, language please", Rarity said. Frost then quickly got up on his feet like it was natural, and was frantically looking for a place to get out of here. " I WANNA GO HOME, I DON'T WANT TO STAY HERE, I WANT-", Frost yelled before receiving a hard slap across the face by Flare. This sudden strike shocked the girls. Flare then grabbed Frost by the shoulders. " Frost calm down", Flare said. After some hyperventilating later, Frost calmed down. Flare and Frost then turned to the other girls. " Hello, my name is Fire Flare, but you can call me just Flare; and this is my good friend Frost", Flare said. " Hello", Frost said, still a little uneasy. " Well now that's out of they way, let's go to sugar cube corner and we can talk more", Rainbow said. Everyone agreed and headed towards sugar cube corner. Meanwhile at Fire's apartment Fire had just gotten to his apartment, and he was furious. He through his back pack against the wall, and then sat on the couch, holding back everything to not scream. " I hate that fucking bitch.", Fire said, tightening his hands, " She thinks that after what she did, we'd suddenly be cool after an apology". More rage was building, suddenly...steam was rising from his body, and his eyes, they turned into a dark orange color instead of his usual red eyes. His rage was about to break, until something rubbed against his leg. When he looked down, he saw his dog, a fox red labrador retriever that Fire named Blazer, after his father. Fire then calmed down and smiled, he then started petting his dog. " You're the only thing keeping me sane in this world", Fire said. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Tour Around Town //-------------------------------------------------------// A Tour Around Town At Sugar Cube Corner Flare, Frost, Twilight, and the other girls are sitting around a table having dessert. " Well Twilight, you weren't kidding when you said this place was different, I just wished you'd put in more detail before we entered the portal", Flare said. Twilight giggled. "Well what can I say, I like surprises", Twilight said. " Well I was definitely surprised", Flare said, followed by him looking at his new pair of hands with uncertainty. Rarity then cleared her throat. " So Flare, Twilight said that you're a teacher, what exactly do you teach", Rarity asked. " I'm a combat instructor for new recruits who want to join the Royal Guard. I basically teach them basic and advanced hoof to hoof combat, as well as teach them how to use shields and weapons", Flare said. The girls besides Twilight all looked shocked, the fact that pony Fire Flare seemed to have a completely different life then human Fire Flare was baffling. " Well that's sounds certainly exciting", Applejack said. Flare sighed. " It has its days, but a lot of the time it's exhausting, I barely get any breaks, and when I do, it's just a quick lunch break, I'm surprised I have enough time to take care of my dog", Flare said. All the girls nodded in agreement. " So Frost, what's your story", Pinkiepie asked. " I'm actually one of Flare students, he's teaching me how to get more in tuned with my ice powers", Frost said. " Ice powers", Fluttershy said. " Yeah, Flare and I are Elementals, we're ponies with a special gene in us that gives us the ability to control a specific element. I happen to be the Elemental of Ice, and Flare is the Elemental of Fire", Frost said. The girls were speechless when hearing this, however Rainbow Dash was quick to respond. " That's sounds awesome", Rainbow said. After that, everyone finished their meal and headed out. They all got into rainbow dash's car and drove around town, showing Flare and Frost the new world that they were in. One place that Flare found particularly interesting was this wide open feild that looked gorgeous in the sunset. After the tour Rainbow parked her car out side of a bright pink house. If Flare was a betting guy, he would assume this was Pinkiepie's place. Once they all got out of the car Flare asked. " So what happens now" " Were having a slumber party at my house", Pinkiepie said. " Oh ummm, ok", Flare said. As they were about to enter, Frost stops Flare. " Flare, Frost, you coming", Twilight asked. " Uh yeah just give us a second", Flare said. Twilight and the others went inside while Flare and Frost stayed out side. " So what's up", Flare asked. " Flare are you sure this is a good idea", Frost asked. " What do you mean", Flare asked. " Well I mean come on, two boys, seven girls, in a house alone. Aren't you worried that, something might lead to another", Frost asked. " Are you implying that we might have sex with them", Flare asked. " Sex is a strong word, I was thinking more on the lines of...getting to know each other a little more", Frost said. " Frost let me assure you that nothing sexual is going to happen.....I hope. Well let's just head inside and see what happens". //-------------------------------------------------------// Training Day //-------------------------------------------------------// Training Day It was early in the morning, around 5:00 or so when Flare woke up. Flare survayed his surroundings, all he could see were seven girls sound asleep in sleeping bags. Flare then remembered that Frost chose to sleep on the couch in the living room for the night. So Flare got up slowly, and tiptoed out of the room, trying his best not to wake up the girls. When Flare reached the living room, he saw Frost sound asleep as well. Flare quietly moved towards Frost and started shaking him lightly. " Frost...Frost...wake up Frost", Flare said quietly. Suddenly, Frost opened his eyes, but barely enough to see what was in front of him. " Flare, what are you doing", Frost asked. Frost then looked over at the living room clock, " It's 5:15". " I know that , but I wanted to talk to you about training", Flare said. This immediately sparked Frost's interests, so he quickly got up, but quietly enough to not wake the girls. " So what did you want to talk about", Frost asked. " Remember that wide open plain that we passed by during the little tour", Flare asked. Frost thought about it for a moment. " Yeah, I do", Frost said. " Well, I thought that place would be a perfect spot to get some training it. However I wanted to do this early in the morning so that we can get it done before Twilight and the others force us to do all those girly stuff", Flare said. He was about to say more, but Frost stopped him. " No need to say more, I'm in", Frost said. " Great, now let's have some breakfast and then get into our day cloths", Flare said. " That reminds me, how did get male pajamas anyway, this is a girl's house", Frost asked. " Well remember during the tour, Rarity suggested that we stop at a cloths store so that we can get some pajamas. But then Rainbow Dash thought that we would be more comfortable in our underwear, and show off out amazing abs. Rememer she was so hitting on us", Flare asked. " Well yeah I remember, but the readers don't. That wasn't in the last chapter", Frost said. " Well that was because the writer was to lazy to jot that down", Flare said. Frost and Flare then looked at me with annoyance. " Well excuse me me for not wanting to add a point in the story that has no relevance to the plot", I said. Frost and Flare just rolled their eyes. After that, they went to the kitchen to the kitchen to get some breakfast, but when Frost opened the refrigerater, all he saw was whip cream. " What in the...who in the world needs this much whip cream", Frost asked " This is Pinkie Pie's house, so yeah", Flare said. " You don't think she uses this stuff for...sexual pleasures do you", Frost asked. Flare then looked at Frost with somewhat of a disgusted look. " Why does everything have to be sexual to you", Flare asked. " First of all, not everything is sexual to me. Second of all, I'm not ashamed of my pervertedness", Frost said. " Yeah whatever, just keep looking here, I'm going to check the pantry", Flare said. And with that, Flare checked the pantry while Frost kept checking the kitchen. While looking through the pantry, Flare could only see sweets after sweets, from cookies to candy bars. Flare was astonished that Pinkie Pie could eat all this without throwing up her insides. Then something caught his eye, it was the perfect set, white bread with a jar of peanut butter, and a jar of jelly. "Hallelujah, I found something", Flare said. Frost immediately rushed over. " Thank Celestia, we found some regular food", Frost said. And with that, Flare and Frost enjoyed a nice peanut butter and jelly sandwich for breakfast. After that, They got into their morning cloths and headed out. " You sure you know where you're going", Frost asked. " Of coarse I know where I'm going, I made a mental map of where we need to go". Flare said. After a while, Flare and Frost made it to the plain. " This place in gorgeous", Frost said " Like I said, I think this would be a great spot for training", Flare said. " Then let's not waste any time", Frost said. And with that, Flare and Frost did some sparring matches for a while before they took a break. " Alright, you're doing great Frost, but now this time, no holding back. Tap into your elemental form, I'll do the same", Flare said. " Are you sure that's possible, before we entered into this world, Twilight said that this place barley has any magic", Frost said. " Our powers don't run off magic, they run off our emotions, just watch", Flare said. Flare then took a deep breath and concentrated, and in an instant Flare entered into his blue fire form, with some noticeable differences. Flare's clothes and skin turned to blue, he now has a long pony tail that goes down his back, and he now has pony ears. Frost was now intrigued at what he could do now, so Frost took a deep breath and concentrated, and just like Flare, Frost entered into his true elemental form. His skin and clothes turned white as snow, and he too gained a pony tail and pony ears. And with that the two began sparring again, it seemed as though the two were evenly matched, but after a while, Flare triumphed.After reverting back to their regular forms, Flare and Frost both played down on the grass exhausted, but then they started laughing. When the two got up, the patted each other on the back. " Alright, let's head back, I'm sure the girls are wondering where we are", Flare said. " Agreed", Frost said. They were about to head back, until they saw that Twilight and the other girls were waiting for them, all of them looked in awe. " How long were you waiting there", Flare asked. " Long enough to know that you two are AWSOME", Rainbow Dash said. Suddenly Flare and Frost were being surrounded by the girls, all of them were asking questions an they wanted those questions to be answered. " Calm down girls, I promise I'll explain everything, but first I want to know how you girls found us", Flare said. " When we all woke up, we saw that you two were gone, so we followed the sound of fighting", Twilight said. Flare and Frost made a chuckle to that statement. " Well you two can explain it two us at the mall, because we're going SHOPPING", Rarity said. The other girls squealed in excitement, while Flare and Frost showed an annoyed look. " This is going to be a long weekend", Flare said. " You said it brother", Frost said. //-------------------------------------------------------// Shopping? More like Torture //-------------------------------------------------------// Shopping? More like Torture The next couple of hours have been nothing but pure agony for Flare and Frost. They had to wait forever for the girls to try on new cloths and shoes at every single damn cloths store at the mall. The worst part however, is that they had to carry all the bags that the girls bought. Finally, after what seemed like days for Flare and Frost, they all finally sat together at a table at the food court.  However something was wrong with Frost, he was laying his forehead on the table and making a frustrated groan. " What's wrong with Frost, he's not sick is he", Twilight asked. " No, he's just dying of boredom", Flare said in the same frustrated tone. " Flare please, fry my brains and end my suffering", Frost pleaded. " Only if you stab me in the face with one of your ice shards", Flare said. " Deal", Frost said " Oh come on, that's being a little over dramatic don't you think? You two got to train all morning, why can't you just let us have some fun", Twilight asked. " You girls weren't forced to watch us train", Flare said. " Yeah, I don't know why you girls couldn't go shopping by yourselves, and let us continue training", Frost asked. " Because darling, with all the stuff we've been buying, we needed some strong and devilishly handsome boys to carry them for us. Us delicate girls couldn't possibly carry all that by ourselves". Rarity said, followed by her batting her eyes at Flare and Frost. Frost immediately changed his attitude, for frustrated to entranced. " Well if it's that important to you girls, I would be happy to-", Frost said before being shaken violently by Flare. " FROST, DON'T FALL UNDER HER SPELL, YOU'RE STRONGER THAN THAT", Flare yelled. Frost then got out whatever mind control he was in. The girls started laughing. " Oh come on Flare, what's wrong with a little persuasion", Rarity asked. " Frost and I are warriors of Equestria. We will fight till our last breath to protect the land we love. In order to do so, we need to be resistant to any form of attack. That includes persuasion attacks, even if it's from a pretty girl", Flare said. There was a moment of silence before Rarity gave a smirk. " Oh, so you think I'm pretty huh", Rarity asked followed by more batting of the eyes. " Dammit, me and my big mouth ", Flare thought. It was at that moment when the food came, which Flare willingly chowed down in seconds. A few minutes later, Flare and Frost were talking about training with the girls eagerly listening. " You're certainly improving Frost, but there's something off with your Elemental form", Flare said. " Off", Frost asked in a concerned voice. " When we fought The Professor, when I asked for you, Rocky, and Jolt to enter into your true elemental forms, you guys didn't take time to establish this new found power. In other words, it was incomplete.", Flare said. " Incomplete", Frost asked. " Take me for example. When I was fighting Ozore, I took all the negative emotions that I was feeling, and I released it until I was in a clear state of mind. That was how I achieved the full power of my true form. I think that's what you need to do", Flare said. Frost nodded in agreement. Just then, Flare heard a voice behind him. " Twilight, what the heck are you doing", said a male voice. When Flare turned around, he saw a boy around his age, he had tan skin like him, blue hair, a black leather jacket, and a white shirt underneath with a blue shield logo. " Flash", Twilight said. " Twilight, what are you doing with that freak", Flash said, gesturing towards Flare. Flare and Frost both got up to confront Flash. " This freak is her friend", Flare said. Flash started laughing. " Friend? Why would a girl like her want to be friends with filth like you", Flash said. Twilight soon got up as well. " Flash, what's your problem", Twilight asked. " My problem is you hanging around him.  This piece of trash doesn't deserve to be around you", Flash said. At that moment, Flare punched Flash in the face, knocking him out. This sudden act made all the girls gasp. " What a punk. Come on Frost, let's head back", Flare said. Flare was already heading out, with Frost behind him. " Flare wait. Could one of you help Flash", Twilight said. Twilight immediately ran to catch up to Flare. " I'm going with Twilight girls. They need an explanation", Sunset said. The others nodded  and tended to Flash. And with that, Sunset ran to catch up with Flare as well.
