Princess Twilight Sparkle has lived for centuries now. Her friends had died long before her experience as an alicorn ever truly began. She had spent the last dozen years locked away in her royal library, scouring all known texts and tomes in her search of bringing her friends back, or at least seeing them again.

'Tia said it couldn't be done, but Twilight knew better, she knew that if anypony could do it, it was her. She had been preparing for this for years.

However, no amount of preparation could ever help brace her for what she saw.
