Pinkie cheered as a stream of rainbow streaked across the sky, followed by a gaining streak of different shades of orange, red, and yellow. Pinkie was cheering for none other than Rainbow Dash, who was racing a visitor from Canterlot. The visitor was me, Supernova, the cousin of Rainbowdash’s idol, Spitfire from the Wonderbolts. Rainbow Dash was beating me by a hair. We both strainfully flapped our tired wings, full of new energy as the finish line came into sight. Rainbow Dash gave a sudden burst of speed, leaving me in the dust. I was shocked and nearly stopped, but  I would prove to Rainbow Dash I was the fastest and I would prove just that. Then it happened. Dash stopped because she needed a breather and  thought I was way behind. I accidentally crashed into her. Rainbow Dash quickly regained balance and zoomed off. As I tried to balance out, my wing suddenly buckled and I quickly descended from the sky. Rainbow Dash wasn’t aware of this until she zoomed across the finish line and by then it was too late. “NOVA!” Rainbow Dash screamed, flying as fast as she could to me,”I’M COMING!” The I flailed helplessly, plummeting to certain death. My left wing felt like it was broken now, while my right wing tried to slow down the fall by flapping repeatedly.Pain seared through my body as I fell. I let out a terrified screech that seemed to make Rainbow Dash fly faster. As I was panicking I could see Ponyville. I could see Town Hall and Sugarcube Corner in the distance. I nervously gazed down, to slam face first into a giant tree branch. I slipped from the branch as it suddenly shook violently.  I fell headfirst into another tree branch and was knocked out with a unbearable pain in my gut. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Chapter 2 I woke up to worried whispers and an agonizing pain on my back. I recognized Pinkie’s voice right away along with Rainbow Dash’s. There was a third, unfamiliar voice, it had an adorable country twang and was obviously the most worried out of the three mares. I slowly opened my eyes to realize that I was in a hospital bed. “Where am I?” The three mares squeaked in shock. They thought that I would be knocked out for awhile longer. “You ok Nova?” Rainbow Dash asked guiltily. “I-I’m so sorry, it’s my entire fault. I should have caught you.” She looked down, not wanting to meet my gaze, or let me see her teary eyes. “I’m fine,” I said weakly. “What happened exactly?” Pinkie told the story: “First you and Dashie were like WHOOSH and then she was ahead of you and she was like BOOM and then you was like ‘Oh no you didn’t!” and you accidently ran into Dash, and you where like ‘AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!’ Then Dashie tried to rescue you but she was so tired and you were falling SO fast. You then fell into a tree in Sweet Apple Acres where Applejack works.” Pinkie Pie motioned towards the stranger. She was a very pretty mare with an orange coat and a blonde mane. She had a cute hat which she now used to hide her shy green gaze. Pinkie continued her bizarre version of the story, “You fell into a HUGE apple tree that Applejack bucked, and you slipped off the branch with a big BOOM! We got you to the hospital as quick as we could, and that is where we all are now!” Applejack and Rainbow Dash gave me the most apologetic faces, “I’m sorry,” they said simultaneously. “I know you planned on only passing through Nova, but you might have to stay here for a few days while your wing heals,” Rainbow said, looking at the floor again. “It’s broken, I thought so,” I said sadly. I then began to worry. ”Where will I stay?” “Ah already set up a lil’ room fer ya in th’ barn at Sweet Apple Acres,” Applejack said kindly. “Ah’ just came back from settin’ it up when ya woke up.” “No offense ‘er anything,” I said in a meek whisper, “but I don’t really feel comfortable staying at a stranger’s house.” “Well ya’ can’t stay at Rainbow’s house since you ain’t gonna fly fer awhile.” “What about staying at Pinkie’s?” We both looked at the pink party pony trying to cheer up a guilty Rainbow Dash. “Just trust me,” Applejack whispered. I gave a small nod. Although on the inside I knew I couldn't trust strangers. A nurse came into the room, and asked the visitors to leave. They waved goodbye with weak smiles. The nurse did a few tests, told me what medicines I would be taking, and that I would only be in the hospital a little longer. The doctor put an uncomfortable cast on me, so I couldn’t move my wing that much. I spent a few hours in the lumpy, dusty hospital bed, watching TV, talking to nurses and doctors, and sometimes just awkwardly talking to myself. But, for most of the time I thought about Applejack, and if I would really give her my trust and respect. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Chapter 3 Sweet Apple Acres was beautiful.  Rows upon rows of strong tall apple trees were all my eyes could see. I gazed up and saw that the graceful trees had provided a canopy of shade. Plump red apples hung overhead just waiting to be eaten.  Soon a large barn came into view along with a farm. The barn looked warm and inviting, decorated with many apples and unique designs. “Welcome ta Sweet Apple Acres!” neighed Applejack. “Wow,” I gasped, taking in the beauty, “you live here?” “Darn tootin’,” the country-mare said proudly, “along with ma’ fam’ly.” A cold chill crawled up my spine. I hadn’t been near a real biological family for a few years. My parents died when my house caught fire, due to a sparkler accident. My sister and I had survived thanks to a rescue pony. Unfortunately I came from a bad family and none of our uncles or aunts or grandparents felt we were safe in their hooves. We were separated in to two foster families. I hadn’t seen my sister since. “You okay?” I jumped, not realizing that I was mindlessly looking at the ground without a word. Applejack seemed to notice that I didn’t want to talk about my feelings and changed the subject. “So uh, why’r ya in Ponyville?” “Oh, I was actually on my way to Cloudsdale to meet my sister, we haven’t seen each other since we were foals and……” I trailed off, not really wanting to talk about my sister either. “Ya miss her?” Applejack finished. I nodded solemnly in agreement. We continued walking for a few more minutes until we reached the barn. Applejack led me to the guest room, and helped me get situated. I didn’t have much to unpack, but Applejack helped me unpack it anyways. She told me about her family, and her cutiemark, and how she was the Element of Honesty. I lost track of time and soon realized that Applejack and I were sitting on my bed, talking to each other like we were friends forever. She was so kind and friendly you couldn’t help accepting her friendship throughout a conversation. The best part was she was completely honest. Whenever AJ said something that didn’t seem true, you could just look at her face and know that she was being honest.
