The hunt for love

We followed Twilight back to her house. As we went inside we saw a green fire go out the door. "Um . . . Twilight what did you wright on that paper and where did you send it?" I knew it was probably to Princess Celestia, but I didn't know what she wrote on it. "I wrote what you told me and about what happened today. And for who I sent it to, I sent it to Princess Celestia." My train of thought was off the rails of what was going to happen next. I sat down on Twilight's couch along with everypony else sitting down waiting for Princess Celestia's reply.

After a couple of minutes I was starting to yawn from the boredness in the room. I suddenly saw white as something happened. I closed my eye's and started to scream from the brightness. When I finally opened my eyes me and everypony else was in a throne room with Princess Celestia. Everypony and I bowed in front of her as Twilight walked up to her and hugged her. After they finished she stared at me. I looked back, feeling nervous of what was going to happen next.

We stood there for a couple minutes staring at each other. She finally broke the silence."So you are the human named Brian. I am pleased to finally meet you. I have heard about what you've been going thru these past couple of days. I must say its remarkable of what you did for Applejack." I looked at Applejack and we both blushed. I then looked back at Celestia. "So what happened today. I got a message about what happened, but I want it more detailed, and what happened to your head?" I then remembered about my head and just laughed at it. "Well, you see, Princess what happened today was weird. Apparently Discord got free again, he threw me off a barn and broke my leg, I found out what he did to the others besides Twilight, I walked all the way to the center of ponyville to try to do something about it even with a broken leg, Discord discorded me only to be turned back to normal from the writing I put on my gun, changed Applejack back to normal, found the elements, found Fluttershy and helped Twilight get her back to normal, found Pinkie and changed her back myself, got attacked by Rarity with her kicking my head multiple times, found Rainbow Dash and got her back to normal, went to go stop Discord by surprise only to fail and get everypony else back to being discorded, and, this is the crazy part, something happened to me and I turned him to stone."

After I finished this, Celestia just stared at me in shock. "How did you stop Discord only the elements are able to do that? What did you look like when something happened to you?" "I was on fire in the color of blue and my eyes were the color of pure white." "But thats not possible, has this really happened, has a old element really come out of its slumber." "Wait, what did you just say!" She brought us to the loyal library and pulled out a really old book. She then opened it and brought it to a specific page. It was in Equstrian language that I could not read. "Um . . . I can't read this." Before anything else happened she shot me with magic and then I looked at the book and was able to read it.

The cover was "The element of Protection" Wait, there was another element! Everypony sat there and read the book while I just looked for the description of the element. "The element of Protection is when a pony stands up for others and not for themselves to protect them. He/she is usually in a blue arua with white eyes and attacks the enemy with great power. The last time this element was known was before the elements of harmony was created. There is no specific date at which it was discovered." I stared at the book with my jaw droped.

Applejack walked up towards me and kissed me on the cheek to get me out of my state of surprise. I looked towards Celestia. "So i'm soposed to be the element of Protection?" She only answered with a nod of her head. "But how is that possible? I'm a human not a pony?" "I don't know. All I do know is that you are this element." "So that explains why I'm good with guns. I never shot anything unless I did it for survival like food, if it was doing something it wasn't supposed to, or unless it attacked others. That explains it all of why I mastered the skill of using my rifle and my dads special pistol." I took out the pistol and looked at my fathers name. A tear started to role down my cheek. Celestia noticed this. "What is wrong Brian? Why are you crying?" "Just remembering my fathers death. He gave me this gun before he died. He scratched his name to it like his father did. Now everytime I see his name on this gun it reminds me of him. Kind of like of Applejacks hat reminds her of her father." "Wait a minute, is that the gun you used to stop discord?" "Yes. Why?" Cesestia quickly grabbed the gun with her magic and ran towards a magnifying glass and studied it.

After a couple of minutes of observing she walked over to me with my gun. "This is no ordinary gun, Brian. This gun was specificly made for the element of protection." "But how, did my father or his father know that someone in our bloodline was going to be the element and if they did, how did they know?" "Brian, this gun was used by the previous person that had the element. I think he teleported it to your Grandfather and he started to pass it down for no reason." I stood there in shock again from what she just said. 'My gun was used by the previous owner of the element? How is that possible?'

I stood there for an hour before Applejack walked over to me and touched my arm. I twitched as I came back to reality. "So that gun was used by the previous owner of the element?" "That is correct." "He must have been injured and sent it to the future and into another world. This explains why I am here in Equestria." "Maybe, it could have been something else that brought you here, but so far this is the only clue of why you are here." I started to walk around the library in deep thought with the pistol in my hand. "So this explains why when I concentraited on this gun in came on fire the same color as the one on me and that the bullets turned white." Everypony stared at me at what I just said. "Wait, did you just say that you concentraited on that gun and it changed just like you?!?" "Yeah. Isn't that weird." I put my gun back into my holster and started to walk to someplace random to clear my mind, but Ceslestia stopped me. "But that's impossible. No element is able to put its power thru objects." "Apparently it can."

I slowly backed away from Celestia after saying that sentence and just sat down on a nearby couch with Applejack sitting next to me. I turned my head towards Applejack and looked at her. We both blushed and couldn't help ourselves to just kiss each other since we haven't kissed in about five hours. I looked around as we kissed and noticed that everypony was staring at me. I slowly stopped the kiss not wanting it to stop. "What?" "Something happened while you two kissed. Look at your head." Twilight floated me a mirror and I observed my head only to notice that the blood and the cuts on my head were gone. "Our love healed me?" "Yes." "Well thats something you don't hear everyday." After I said that sentence, I looked back at Applejack who was again staring at me. I pulled out my pistol and looked at it. I found the scratched in name of Applejack on it. I started to cry from the memories of our relationship between each other. Again everypony noticed.

"What's wrong now?" I just looked at everypony else and showed them the scratched in word I put on my gun and started to talk. "When I was discorded and started to hate everything on my way back to the orchard, I looked at the scratched in name of Applejack's and got out of the spell. My love for Applejack was too powerful to let me stay that way and neither was Applejacks. I guess thats another explenation I guess of how we healed each other just from a kiss." Everypony slowly smiled of what I just said from the love in it. I slowly looked back at Applejack again and kissed her passionetly.

After the kiss and our heads full of knowledge of what had happened and what I was, we got teleported back home. I expected the teleport this time so I was prepared and didn't get hurt. We all looked outside and it was dark. After talking to each other for a little bit, we all left and went home. I went to bed in my room with Applejack not that far behind me. "So I a' now know more about ya, how about that." She slowly started to get in bed with me with a seductive smile on her face. I suddenly felt lucky of what was going to happen tonight as she scooted closer.
