Fluttershy trotted along the trail, as happy as could be, she sang to herself quietly, she then heard something rustling in the bushes she turned around but saw nothing, she continued down the path, she then heard something yet again, when she turned around she swore she saw something in the bushes. "H-Hello?" she asked shakily "Who's there?" Nothing. She slowly stepped towards the bushes and moved them, she saw a chimera, she screamed, so did Discord as he ran, Fluttershy stopped for a minute,....maybe she didn't she a chimera, she shrugged nervously and continued to walk forward, when she suddenly heard somepony shout "SOMEPONY CALL THE PRINCESS" Fluttershy ran over to the cause of the noise, she saw the chimera forcefully being held down by a stallion, a few hours later there was a mob around the creature and Celestia was in front of the creature. "What's his punishment your highness?" asked one of the guards "Eternity in prison" she responded, Fluttershy looked at the creature, she could tell he was close to tears from the pain, seeing this made her close to tears as well, he was too young to be imprisoned.She ran up to the guards before they took him away "WAIT, please, your highness" she cried Celestia turned her head in surprise, so did Discord "Please,......don't turn him to stone,...he's too young,....I know I sound foolish, but please" she took a deep breath "I want to reform him" Celestia looked down at the small filly, then to Fluttershy's and the other's surprise, she smiled "What is your name?" she asked "F-Fluttershy your highness," said the filly bowing Celestia put a hoof under her chin "You are the kindest hearted pony I've ever seen, however, are you sure you wish to take on this task?" Fluttershy looked at the creature, then at everypony else, she took another deep breath, and replied "Yes" "HOLD ON" shouted a voice, a small pink filly with fancy purple hair came out of the crowd, she was glaring at Fluttershy "Your highness, do you really believe that a hideous and demented creature like THAT can be reformed?" she said pointing at Discord "I do indeed" "Still, do you think that this foolish filly can do something like THAT? I mean LOOK AT HER" she exclaimed "She's afraid of her own SHADOW" Fluttershy turned her head and looked at her shadow, she squeaked and cowered, while the other filly laughed cruelly until Celestia put a wing in front of her "That is quite enough," he said firmly while she walked over to Fluttershy and smiled, she then turned around and addressed her subjects "Citizens of ponyville, I hereby give Fluttershy the task of reforming Discord, she maybe a small filly, but even the greatest hero started with just one step" the rude filly stalked off after letting out a "hmmph" while the guards released Discord, he walked over to Fluttershy to get a closer look at her, she had long pretty lotus hair, a buttercream complexion, and gorgeous teal eyes, Fluttershy smiled nervously "So, you're trying to reform ME? Good luck" he scoffed Fluttershy gasped "You CAN talk" "OF COURSE I can talk, do you even know who I am?" "Well...." she tried to hide her blush of embarrassment behind her mane "I know that your name is discord," she said somewhat lamely Discord rolled his eyes "I'd give it a "D-plus" Fluttershy started walking towards her parent's house "Mom?Dad?" she asked shyly, she then sighed in relief, they were asleep, she then walked into the garden and sat down, her eyes widened when she saw a cotton candy cloud raining chocolate milk, Discord looked at her "What? I have magic too" he said as though it was rudely obvious "Oh,.....I'm sorry," she said lowering her head, it was then that Discord noticed that she had a little slip of paper in her mouth "What's that?" he asked "Oh,....it's a note from Princess Celestia, she wrote down a good deed you have to do to prove that your good" Fluttershy explained Discord rolled his eyes "Typical girly ponies" he thought to himself "Um,...Discord, are you okay?" Fluttershy asked "Oh yes I'm fine, in fact, I want nothing more to be your friend," he said smiling "Really?" asked Fluttershy in surprise "Don't you know anything about sarcasm?" he asked rudely frowning "O-Of course I do, I'm just,....." she trailed off "Yeah, yeah, Shy, I KNOW" "Yes,.....anyways, according to the paper, you have to,......." she looked up at him "Fix a leak in the weather factory" "WHAT?" asked Discord, why did it have to be to fix something? "It's what the paper says," said Fluttershy. "I don't care what the paper says" snapped Discord folding his arms. "Please?" asked Fluttershy "No, net, nine, nay, negative, NEVER," he said rudely. Fluttershy sighed, she gave up, she didn't know why she thought she could do this, she walked into her parent's house hanging her head. Discord opened one eye and looked around, he sighed and flew to the weather factory, and used his magic to fix an enormous leak, he then tip-toed away when he saw Celestia smiling down at him. "Well done Discord, it appears Fluttershy has succeeded in reforming you" Discord groaned and folded his arms "Just don't tell her" he muttered Celestia nodded and flew back to Canterlot, once she was sure no pony was around, however, she started writing on a piece of parchment Dearest Fluttershy........ //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One: Twenty years later //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One: Twenty years later "And that's how I met Discord," said Fluttershy finishing her story, the animals smiled at her except for Angel, he never liked Discord. "Angel, don't be like that, he's been reformed all those years ago, and you know it" Fluttershy sighed "He was as tall as I was back then" Angel rolled his eyes "Cheer up Angel, don't you remember that Pinkie's having a party? everypony's going to be there "Everypony?" asked the animals in their languages "Everypony," said Fluttershy smiling as she hopped off the couch and trotted outside, where she found the ponies walking about, then Fluttershy saw Pinkie singing "Everypony, move your manes and feel united, Ohhhhh," Pinkie moved to Spike who was trying to lift a weight "COME ON SPIKE, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!" shouted Pinkie "Your confidence gives me STRENGTH," said Spike tossing the weight into the air like it was just a pencil with Fluttershy and Pinkie on top, as the weight twirled, the two mares threw out invitations,  the ponies below excitedly ran around trying to catch one, the mares both landed carefully on the ground, Fluttershy sang "Everypony, shake your manes and feel united. Ohh Ohh" they trotted along while pinkie rapped; "Everybody's coming to the celebration, I'ma hook you up with the invitations, let your manes swing and party with me no bad vibes just love you'll see" the girls both ran to join their friends, throwing out more and more invitations, "hey don't stop, don't stop, stop the beat won't stop, won't stop, stop the beat" Fluttershy then sang "Everypony Ohhhhhhhh yeah ohhh" they set up an amazing mural using magic "Yeah" they all exclaimed when the music stopped, they breathed heavily, then they heard slow applause from only one pair of hands "Unbelievable, guys, really, really great, good job, I COULD HEAR YOU FROM A MILE AWAY" scolded Discord "Great, I was afraid we weren't projecting enough," said Pinkie "Pinkie," said Discord "If I can hear you" Discord put a hand by his mouth "So can the CHANGELINGS" "Oh boy, said Radiant hope "Here we go again," groaned Pinkie "Oh, Discord," sighed Fluffy clouds sadly "You always ruin everything," said Rarity her eyes narrowing 'Warning us about the changings" said Sassy Saddles "I do not, " said Discord "Actually, you ruined my cousin's birthday, wedding and funeral doing that," said Radiant hope "Look Discord, we all have happiness inside us, you just need our help to find it," said Fluttershy pulling out an invitation she made especially for him, a mini version of him popped out and said in an adorable voice "You're invited" "Whadda say?" asked Pinkie Discord took the card from Fluttershy and ripped it in half, to their horror "I would never go to a party at ALL, and even if I did, I wouldn't go if YOU were there" snapped Discord as he snapped his fingers and disappeared Fluttershy's ear's drooped, her head lowered, Pinkie exclaimed "I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT PARTY-POOPER" "It took you five and a half hours to MAKE that card," said Fluffy clouds "Even Mr.Cuddles is sad" he held out the doll for them all to see, it only made a squeaking noise "Poor thing," said Fluffy clouds hugging his doll tightly while Radiant hope patted Fluffy Clouds on the back "I just can't believe he's not going to be going to the party," said Fluttershy "It's going to be the biggest" "The loudest," said D.J pon three "The CRAZIEST party EVER," said Pinkie, they all lowered their heads "Now now, let's not be too sad," said a smooth voice, everypony turned around, they saw Blueblood, Rarity slightly fanned herself, Blueblood walked up to Fluttershy and put a hoof under her chin "Don't listen to him Fluttershy, he just doesn't want to be happy" "I guess," said Fluttershy softly "You guessed right," said Blueblood winking at her Blueblood then walked away, Rarity smiled at Fluttershy "Remember he used to have a crush on you in high school?" Sassy Saddles giggled "I think he still does" "Oh come on, you know he's just my friend," said Fluttershy smiling "Whatever," said Pinkie "Let's just start setting up the party" Pinkie's flower watch glowed, pinkie gasped "IT'S HUG TIME" she shouted, she embraced Fluttershy, who embraced her back, the others joined the hug. They soon let go "Okey-Dokey-Lokey,  let get started, Rarity, Sassy, your in charge of decorations," said Pinkie pointing at Rarity and Sassy, who both nodded "DJ, your in charge of music," said Pinkie pointing at Dj  Pon Three "Radiant Hope, make everything nice and sparkly" "Got it" she replied "Fluffy clouds, do nothing" Pinkie directed "YAY" Fluffy clouds cheered "And Fluttershy,.....I just want you to be there, your always happier than I AM, we need that happiness to make this Party amazing" "Okay" said Fluttershy "GREAT" exclaimed Pinkie as she bounced away Fluttershy hummed while she started picking flowers, behind a tree, Discord was secretly watching her, he had told himself many times that he didn't want her friendship, but it was because of how happy she was all the time, he had never seen her cry, NOT ONCE, but it wasn't her fault she was so happy all the time, she had just never faced a real problem "But she will soon" he thought to himself Fluttershy turned her head when she thought she heard something, but nothing was there. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two:Caught //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two:Caught The ponies were cheering, the music was loud, it was definitely a party. Pinkie was dancing, Fluttershy was on the stage, Discord watched from afar, he couldn't believe Fluttershy was actually having fun at a party, he just scoffed and disappeared. The ponies were going wild, the music was almost deafening, the lights were so bright, and ponies here and there were shooting glitter balls all over the place, one accidentally hit Spike in the face, everypony stopped for a minute, then Spike jumped up and shouted "EXTREEEEEEMMMMEEE" the ponies got back to partying "COME ON, WE NEED MORE LIGHT," said pinkie, she then gave the signal to set off the fireworks. Queen Chrysalis paced, she had been kicked out of the kingdom for letting their weapon escape, she vowed revenge on Discord by finding him and draining him of all his magic, including the ponies magic as well.Suddenly she heard a bang, she brought out her telescope and set it up looking at the source of the sound she then saw a firework go off, it was shaped like a pony, Chrysalis smirked evilly "Ponies" she whispered dangerously with a vicious smile "Okay everypony, let's calm down for a minute," said Fluttershy into the mic quietly "THATS FLUTTERSHY, SHES MY FRIEND, I KNOW HER" shouted fluffy clouds, while the others shushed him, Pinkie walked onto the stage Fluttershy slightly giggled but continued "You probably don't care about the reason for this party, but were having it to celebrate twenty years free of-" they then heard loud buzzing noises, they hadn't heard those sounds in twenty years but recognized them nonetheless "Changelings" whispered Pinkie Queen Chrysalis grinned evilly at them "Gotcha" she whispered Pinkie dropped the cupcakes she was holding, Chrysalis looked at them, she hated pink. "Uhhhh,...." Fluttershy picked the cupcakes back up "Cupcake?" she offered nervously, Chrysalis cackled quietly while she looked at them. "Nope" squeaked Pinkie as she and Fluttershy screamed, all the ponies ran in panic Radiant Hope ran but was captured "RADIANT" shouted Fluttershy, then she ran for she was almost caught Spike ran but was caught "SPIKE" shout Pinkie Rarity and Sassy tried to run, but their tails were tangled together, they both got captured "HAS ANYPONY SEEN MR.CUDDLES?" asked Fluffy clouds, little did he know that his doll was on his back, he got captured D.J tried to get away as well but was snatched as well Fluttershy, Pinkie, and the fillies ran into the bushes, however, since Pinkie was a bright pink, she didn't blend in, she got captured "PINKIE!!!" shouted Fluttershy "Everypony don't make a sound!!!" shouted Blueblood as he ran but he was captured, Fluttershy flew up and tried to grab him, but a pegasus pulled her back into her hiding place. Chrysalis looked around, the rest were gone, but she had got a good few she smiled  evilly again "Thanks for throwing, the biggest,........the loudest,......-" "THE CRAZIEST PARTY EVER" exclaimed Pinkie, but Chrysalis silenced her, Chrysalis then flew away, all of the ponies came out of hiding, there was a silence until it was interrupted by an orange filly pegasus "So,......what are we gonna do now?" "We need to leave!!!" shouted one pony, the others followed him out the door Fluttershy felt like this was all HER fault, she then made a decision worthy of a fool "WAIT" shouted the pegasus, everypony looked at her "I'm going to go save them" the ponies gasped, no pony could survive THAT. "We been hiding for too long, and besides, their my friends,......OUR friends" she said "Well, it's brave, but Youll never make it on your own," said one pony Fluttershy then had a plan, it was most likely to backfire, but it was worth a try. Discord sat there in his bunker, listing to the card Fluttershy made him,....... he had kept all of the cards Fluttershy ever made him, when others made them, he threw them away, but never threw away the ones Fluttershy made him.He had almost grown fond of her over the years, and although he found her annoying at times, he often thought about her, her kindness, and the way she looked, he appreciated the way she had shown him kindness when they first met.He told himself many times he would never admit it, but she made him feel slightly warm inside, it wasn't happiness, but it was something.He let out a sigh, why couldn't his emotions be normal?He just sighed and continued to think about her, he almost truly, genuinely, out of all honesty, smiled.Suddenly he heard knocking and somepony calling out his name. "Discord!" He knew it was Fluttershy, he frantically closed the card and tried to hide it away with the others, but much to his horror, all the cards fell out opened.Blushing in the process, he frantically tried to close them all before she heard, eventually he stopped them and tenderly, but quickly put them all away "Discord PLEASE" cried Fluttershy, a peephole in the carpet opened "I'm not going to her party," he said firmly "The party's over, we just got attacked by a CHANGELING" Discord should have known,....whenever danger happened his magic would shut off for three days. "I KNEW it!" he exclaimed, the square opened up, with swiftness, Discord firmly but gently grabbed Fluttershy's hooves, and pulled her down into the bunker, Fluttershy went slightly pink in surprise, he had never touched her before, let alone held her hooves. Then next thing she knew, she was underground. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three:Setting Off //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three:Setting Off Discord barricaded the door, hid the carpet, he set up plenty of beartraps and one mousetrap.Fluttershy sat next to him in the space that was very small. "Discord why did you grab my-" Fluttershy started to whisper, but Discord shushed her, Fluttershy decided to get right to the point "Discord you need to-" Discord shushed her again "Discord I just want to-" Discord shushed her, but this time with more emphasis Fluttershy raised her hoof, Discord sighed "WHAT? What is so important that it's worth bringing the changelings right to us?!" "The changeling is gone," said Fluttershy "You don't know that, it could STILL be out there," Discord said logically "Watching, waiting,....listening" "The changeling is gone" Repeated Fluttershy "It took Radiant Hope, Spike, Rarity, SassyFrass, Fluffy Clouds, D.J, Pinke, and Blueblood" Discord rolled his eyes, he didn't like Blueblood because of how close he was to Fluttershy "Which is why I need to ask you" Fluttershy took a deep breath "Will you help me go to the changeling hive and save everyone" "WHAT?" asked Discord incredulously "No Way" "But Discord, their our friends" "Ah-Ah-AH," he said wagging a finger, he then pointed to her "They're YOUR friends, I don't HAVE friends" "I can't BELIEVE this, you know more about the changelings than any of us, but when we finally need you, you just want to sit here and hide forever" "Forever? No" he pulled a lever, Fluttershy gasped as they started going down on a small platform, "Yes, I only have enough supplies to last me TEN years, you all thought I was crazy HUH?Well, who's crazy NOW?" The platform finally reached the bottom, Discord smirked and pointed at himself. "Me, Crazy prepared" Fluttershy looked around, she had never seen so many supplies in her life, she looked at Discord, her expression slightly dilated. "Discord, this is all really,......impressive" "Yes it is," he said, and neither of them noticed it, but without meaning to, he brushed his tail up against hers. "I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have helped throw the party, but I did it anyways, and now I need to save my friends" Discord smiled smugly at her "Why don't you try SCRAPBOOKING them to freedom?" to his surprise(Although he didn't show it) she didn't make a sad face, instead, she just replied with an expressionless face; "Solid burn Discord, solid burn,...." her expression then saddened "Well,.......thank you anyway" she then started to walk towards the platform "Anytime Fluttershy," he said looking at her, once she disappeared on the platform, he stared at it for a while, then he started to walk away when he heard Fluttershy's voice and the platform go down. "Ummm, Discord,....just wondering if I could borrow something?" Discord sighed, he figured it was the least he could do since he hadn't been that helpful to her. "Ugh, What?" he asked "Your bunker," she said "WHAT?" he asked incredulously "Okay Everypony, come on in," said Fluttershy, All the ponies in Ponyville then filed into the bunker, much to Discords horror, he ran over to Fluttershy. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" he asked frantically, looking at her as though she had escaped from the insane asylum "You said you had enough supplies to last ten years didn't you?""asked Fluttershy, smiling "YES, to last ME ten years, these supplies will last THEM two weeks!!!" "Well, then I guess I better hurry," she said, starting to fly towards the platform "You won't last a day out there," he said walking in front of her "And you won't last a day in here," said Fluttershy, Discord had the faintest hint of redness in his cheeks, he had just been roasted by FLUTTERSHY, he couldn't think of anything more pathetic. "So I'm willing to make you a deal, you help me go rescue our friends, and we will hide somewhere else" she said Discord folded his arms stubbornly "No deal," he said glaring at her. "Okay then, enjoy your company," she said she flew to the platform, she looked at her pocket watch. "Three,...Two,...One" she counted, everypony's watches lit up, the platform started to go up. "HUG TIME" exclaimed the ponies, they started gathering in the middle, taking Discord with them. "No,.....NOO,.....NOOOOOOO" he shouted, Fluttershy watched this until she reached the top, she then sat down on a rock Fluttershy had been sitting down, she had been sitting down for three hours, (hug time was every hour) then, expectedly, she heard a platform going up, Discord emerged, his furry parts ruffled and untamed, not to mention sticky from the sweat, his left eye was slightly twitching. "Okay Fine, I'll help, I can't take any more hugs" Discord snapped his fingers, two bags full of extra supplies appeared "Oh dear, it seems that now I've lost ALL my magic, too bad, I guess I'm too late," he said smiling "Actually...."Said Fluttershy, she then pulled a lever, they went soaring into the air, after going over fifty miles and landing she said "You are right on time" Discords landing was nowhere near as graceful as Fluttershy's.He rubbed his temple as he got up "Right, like you KNEW I was coming" "Yes actually," she said smiling sadly at him "I figured that by the third hug time you would think that maybe losing your life to a changeling wouldn't seem so bad" Discord pointed at himself "And I figured that there was no way you could do this by yourself" he folded his arms with a smirk "Guess we were both right" "Right, well,.....do you have a plan?" Discord nodded and cleared his throat"First, we get to The changeling hive without being spotted, then we go through the escape tunnels to the old village, before we suffer a miserable death by BLOODTHIRSTY CHANGELING!!!" Discord looked at her "Hold on a second, are you SCRAPBOOKING my Plan?" "Yes," said Fluttershy "Almost,....done!!!" a cute little picture popped up with the friends reunited, the card then said "WE DID IT!!" it then shot glitter into Discords face, with a little pop at the end "There will be no more,.." Discord pounded his paw against the right side of his head and a poof of glitter came out, "Scrapbooking" //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Four:The journey to the hive //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Four:The journey to the hive Fluttershy and Discord walked down the trail, Fluttershy was humming, Discord groaned "Do you HAVE to sing?" By this time tomorrow, I'll be with all my friends again, oh I wonder what they're doing right now?" "Probably having their magic DIGESTED," said Discord "Their ALIVE Discord, I KNOW they are," said Fluttershy, frowning at his negativity "You don't know ANYTHING Fluttershy" Discord turned around "And I can't wait to see the look on your face when you realize that the world isn't all Cupcakes and rainbows" he waved his hands around mockingly magical  "Because it ISNT, bad thing happen, and there's nothing you can do about it" he turned around and continued to walk forward. Fluttershy stood stiffly for a second, then she caught up with him and said: "Hey, I know the world isn't all cupcakes and rainbows, but I would rather live my life thing that it mostly is instead, and if you don't mind me asking, why are you so-?" "Shhh" Discord put a paw to her lips, Fluttershy did her best not to blush "A Changeling?" she asked frightened ".....Maybe" Discord whispered, he walked carefully, Fluttershy then figured it out "There is no changeling is there? You just said that I would stop talking" "Maybe" whispered Discord, he continued to walk forward "Sometimes I wonder if your really reformed" Discord turned around and snapped "Of COURSE I AM, after all, Celestia sent you that letter all those years ago telling you that I DID fix that leak in the weather factory, didn't she?" "No," said Fluttershy looking surprised "Wait, you didn't know?" Fluttershy shook her head Discord facepalmed himself rather hard "Well, NOW YOU DO," he said irritated, they continued to walk forward when Fluttershy suddenly said "You did remember to pack food right? " "No, I was too distracted," he said "I can get us food, " she said running ahead Discord laughed "Please, how could YOU get-" Fluttershy was handed two baskets of berries and fruits from a pack of birds "Thank you," she said smiling, she looked at discord and placed a basket next to him "Dinners ready," she said Discord groaned, how DOES she do that? Fluttershy and Discord were in their sleeping bags, by a fire, Discord was already on his side, Fluttershy sighed, she took out a picture frame of all her friends, "So special" she whispered "Goodnight Pinkie, Goodnight Spike, Goodnight Fluffy clouds, Goodnight Rarity, Goodnight Sassyfrass, Goodnight D.J, Goodnight Radiant, Goodnight Blueblood," she said quietly "And goodnight Fluttershy!" Snapped Discord Fluttershy put the picture away and looked up, there were so many stars in the sky "Stars shining bright above you,...." she sang softly "SERIOUSLY? MORE singing?" he asked incredulously "Yes, Sing helps me relax," said Fluttershy "WELL COULD YOU STOP, I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT" he said, he turned on his side "Even if it IS the most beautiful sound I ever heard" he muttered "What?" asked Fluttershy "I THOUGHT I SAID BE QUIET" he shouted, he then closed his eyes, Fluttershy then laid on her back and did the same. They walked towards the tunnels, but unfortunately, there were more than twenty of them. "So one of these tunnels will lead us to the old village?" asked Fluttershy "Yes", but-" Discord was interrupted, a letter hit him in the head, Fluttershy opened it "Dear Fluttershy and Discord, It's the ponies from the bunker, We sent this to tell you good luck on your journey, also, we have just been told that Flurry hearts, the princess of the crystal empire has just turned eighteen, can you believe it?But We've been told that the crystal empire is under extra protection since there has been a changeling that would visit every week. Anyways, we hope you survive this journey, and make it home safely. with love, the ponies" "Well,....anyways, which one is the right one?" she asked, stuffing the letter in her backpack "I dont know,...." said Discord "CHOOSE A HOLE WISELY, FOR ONE WILL LEAD TO THE CHANGELING HIVE, AND THE OTHERS, TO CERTAIN DEATH" said a mighty voice, the last word echoed "WHO SAID THAT?" asked Discord "IT WAS-" a pegasus poked her head from behind a cloud "Me, hey guys, um I just wanted to warn you that one of these tunnels lead to the old village, and the others lead to certain death" she made the last word echo, they then noticed that she had a light yellow mane, a light gray coat, a pair of socks on her hooves a bubble cutie mark, and light yellow eyes that were crossed.
