Lost in a peaceful Planet
Prologue (Pt.2/2)
Previous ChapterUnknown POV
Location Unknown
Inwardly groan, I started moving my arm to my side only to touch something solid. Cracking my eyes open, I see an ice wall infront of my face before closing them back as I'm feeling tired. Only to snap wide open to see that I'm surrounded in ice. Panicking, I started punching it with my fists out of desperation only to no effect. Knowing that it's futile, I then gave up as I slumped down my shoulders and leaned back against my frozen prison and sighed. I then tilt my head upwards and closed my eyes.
"So, this is how I'll be in after all this; an Akrid prisoner." I said to myself as I started to space out. Not noticing a figure heading towards me until it starts stomping on the fragile ice, startling me by the sudden noise as I snapped my attention towards the source. Only to see a large, blurred grey figure standing in front of my ice prison. It takes me a while to realize what it is as my eyes widen in surprise.
"Triseed?" I asked in disbelief as the said figure tensed and starts leaning closer to my ice prison and then it jerks back in surprise as it took a few steps back and begin raising its right arm.
Noticing what it's doing I started backing up against the wall and bracing myself as it strikes my icy prison. Causing it to shatter as I then fell down to the floor accompanied with a pained wheeze as my senses has returned from somewhere else as my body felt like its twisting itself in a painful way as I then cry out in pain. While I'm continuing screaming in pain, I then felt something touching me as I slowly cracked one of my eye and saw Triseed placed its right wing arm on my shoulder in a comforting manner. Somehow it works as my pain started to slowly disappear and my body slowly relaxed to the touch as I sub-consciously sighed in relief.
Relieved, I then slowly planted my hand on the floor by my side accompanied with my other hand on the other and started lifting myself up while I'm audibly grunt in pain. Sitting up, I slowly removed my helmet with my eyes closed and placed it on the floor beside me as I then placed my palm on my forehead to relieve myself from this sudden headache only to feel somethings wrong.
Opening my eyes I slowly removed my hand away from my forehead and brought it to my vision to see that my fingers are somehow longer than usual and it's also slightly sharper.
"What the-" I muttered in confusion as I then see something white below the middle of my peripheral vision. Placing my new hand on this weird thing I then felt that it's my mouth which has now being elongated as a snout. Jerking my hand away I then felt something poking my rear, bolting myself upright I looked behind me and saw a white, scaly tail with what looks to be bright-orange spines on the middle as it's slowly swishing back and forth. Poking it out of curiosity I then felt something sharp coming from my rear as I react by yelping and rubbing what is now my tail afterwards. I then pause as I slowly wander my eyes towards a nearby ice wall and saw a my reflection as a white reptilian thing wearing a similar armor as mine as he's busy rubbing his tail.
Removing my hand away from my tail, the figure also removes his. I then narrowed my eyes and he does the same thing as I slowly walked towards the reflection and leaned my head closer to it to take a good look of my new look. My head looks very reptilian-ish, same as my body if I took my armor off. My eyes looked like orange slits and there's stubby fins on my head which have the same color as my eyes.
Placing my claw underneath my chin and rubbing it, I slowly nodded to myself "Looks like I have to get use to it." I muttered as I closed my eyes and sighs 'There's no room for panicking. I'm so fucking tired right now...' I mentally said to myself.
I opened my eyes again and glanced at my VS as I saw it examines its arms out of curiosity. I raised my eyebrow at it and opened my mouth, only to close it shut as I decided to not question it as I then looked down and grabbed my helmet and took a closer look at it. Seems like it's dark blue paint-job has small scratches on it, no big deal but I'm still wondering about it still being functional due to the large graze marks on its left side thanks to-
"Ugh." I immediately closed my eyes and my body began to shudder as I tried not to throw up from the memory of 'That' incident. Opening my eyes again I then quickly noticed that my helmet has also been changed to fit my new form. Shrugging, I placed it back on my head and make a few knock at the side of it and hear it's still tough while also noticing that I still get a clear view of the visor despite the damage it took but I'll decide to ignore it for now. Nodding, I then get back on my feet and start walking towards the Triseed only to stop as I finally realized my weapons aren't on me.
Looking around I've found my stuff piled at the corner, walking towards it I then crouch down and began taking them back starting with the Gun Sword. Placing the rifle on my lap I removed the mag from the rifle and feel the weight before inserting it back into the gun and racked the charging handle before strapping it onto my back. I then grabbed my pistol and making sure it's still loaded and also to make sure its safety is still on before placing it into my holster and lastly I grabbed my plasma grenades and strapped them onto my waist.
Checking myself to make sure nothing's missing I then remember something particular is missing as my eyes go wide.
"My bag." I said under my breath as I then clutched my head with both my hands as I then begin having a breakdown "No no no" tears start forming in my eyes as I lost something close to me until I hear a small thud beside me. Focusing my attention to the source I saw what I didn't expected to see: My duffel bag. Mouth agape in disbelief, I quickly removed my helmet and rubbing my eyes as I quickly blinked and saw that it's still there.
Staring at it, my mouth twitches into a smile as I looked at the Triseed who was standing still like a statue. I sniffed a little as I wiped my face off of any remaining tears as I then crouch down near the bag and opened one of its pockets to bring out something familiar in my grip; a silver colored locket in a shape of a heart with the words 'T.A' engraved onto it. Clutching it tightly, I then placed the locket around my neck and looked back at my VS.
"Semi-Sentient huh? You're full of wonders, you know that?" I comment it with a smile.
"Affirmative." a sudden female voice was heard, startling me as I quickly grabbed my Gun Sword and aimed it around the icy caverns.
"Who's there!?" I shouted while scanning for any threats, only for me to tense as I felt something cold on my shoulder. I slowly turned my head and saw that it's my VS, I sighed in relief, only to pause as I narrowed my eyes at it "It's you, isn't it?" I asked and somehow the VS starts to tense and tries to act like a statue again. Noticing its behavior, I then let out a long sigh and I facepalmed- or... clawed.
Removing my claw away from my face, I looked back at the VS "Alright, drop the act. You ain't fooling me." I said while placing my Gun Sword back behind my waist. Being found out, The Triseed let its arms hang down and twists its waist to look at me as it then placed its wing blades together, mimicking human thumbs twiddling against each-other like it's been caught stealing a small tank of T-ENG as a child.
"You're not Semi-Sentient, you're fully aware isn't it?" I asked the VS and it responds by letting its wing arms hang to the side and nods by tilting its upper body up and down "Can you talk?" it then shrugs its shoulders. I eyed it for a while "Open it up." I asked and it complies by kneeling down and opens its pilot compartment. I then step into it and to the back of the cabin as I tried to find its speakers until I saw the command screen, unscrewing it and bringing it out I was then met with multiple, colorful wiring as my eyes slowly widen and my mouth agape "Whoa..." I muttered.
"Um, Triseed?" it slightly jerks the cabin to notify me that it's listening "It seems that it will be gonna take a while for me to give you speech, so..." it then gives me an 'ok' beep "Alright then." I replied as I narrowed my eyes at the wiring "Let's see here."
A few minutes later
After a few minutes of tweaking, sparks and curses, I then placed the command screen back to where it is and then I disembarked the cabin as I looked back at Triseed and saw it closed its cockpit and standing back onto its footing. Wiping off any remaining sweat off my forehead I looked at Triseed "Alright, give it a go." I said to it.
"H-hello?" Triseed spoke its-no her first word and I smiled for a job well done. She then looks at me in disbelief "It-it works..." she said as she then lunged me into a hug. My face instantly contorts into surprise as I quickly rolled out of the way and she missed.
I brought out my hands out in defense as Triseed looks at me confused "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Calm down!" I exclaimed.
Triseed took aback "Oh... sorry. Did I do something wrong?" she said as she felt sad.
"No you did not. It's just that... well..." I rubbed the back of my head as I glanced away before looking back at Triseed "It's just that I don't wanna get crushed, okay?"
She doesn't know what I meant until she looks at both of her wing arms "Oh... I understand now." she said in realization. She then looks back at me and lets out a nervous laugh "Ehehe... sorry, I guess?"
I gave her a small smile "Apology accepted." I replied as I then frown. Triseed noticed this as she then slightly tilts her upper body to the side "I believe you need a new name." I suggested and she lets out a confused beep.
"What's wrong with Triseed?" she asks.
"Triseed is your model name. And since you're the first fully aware Vital Suit, that means you'll basically need a new name." I said as I placed my finger on my lip and glanced up as I make a thoughtful hum. I then glanced back at Triseed "How about Trinity?" I suggest.
'Trinity' then thinks about it "Trinity... Since the fact that I transformed into three modes, so... sure, Trinity it is then." she said as she then reached out her wing arm to me "Partners?" she asked.
I smiled as I held her wing arm with my claw "Partners." I said as we shake our claw/wing tip. I then placed my hands on my hips as I looked around the cavern "Now, where do we find an exit in this place?" I muttered with my non-existent eyebrows furrowed. I then quickly look at Trinity "Where did you last came from before you found me?" I asked her. Trinity then quickly rotates her upper waist before making a full turn as she then looks back at me and replied by shaking her torso while shrugging. I then looked down to the floor with my arms crossed against my chest as I rapidly tap my foot while thinking about finding a way out, until my eyes snapped open as I then faceclawed.
"Why didn't I do this earlier." I told myself as I looked at my right claw and removed the glove as I then licked the tip of my finger and let it exposed itself to the air. I then felt a breeze on my tips as I then followed it to the source with Trinity following behind me as she placed my bag inside the pilot cabin. A few seconds later, I heard a howling sound of the wind and Trinity also heard it as we quickened our pace and at last, there's the opening.
Replacing my glove back to my claw, I then aimed my anchor at the edge of the opening a hook then shot out of it and latched itself into it. I then reeled myself out of the hole and landed on the ground with my feet as I let out a grunt. Standing up I was then met with a violent blow of the blizzard, blocking it with my arm I grabbed my helmet from my waist and placed it on my head while bracing myself against the wind. As soon as the storm calmed down I then called Trinity and not long after she emerged from the hole in warbird mode before transforming back into walker mode as she lands.
With Trinity behind me, we then start walking across the empty snow to hopefully find any Mercenaries wandering around the area or Akrids to replenish our T-ENG reserves, but to no avail.
1 Hour Later
Trudging through the snow as it gets thicker as we travel further to hopefully find something as I stomp through it until I started dragging my feet instead as my eyes get droopy every single minute. And then I lost conscious as I start falling to the ground until Trinity catches me before I met the ground, slowly opening my eyes again I slowly looked back at Trinity who is still holding me back from falling into the snow.
"Are you alright?" she asked with concern. I then slowly opened my mouth before closing it and instead replies by shaking my head "Need some rest? I can walk much further." Trinity suggests as I think about it and nods. She then kneels down and opens the cockpit as I then sit on the pilot seat as it retreats back into her cabin. Inside the cabin I then removed my helmet and placed it on my lap as Trinity starts walking again "Get comfy, partner." she speaks up in her internal speakers as I started to close my eyes.
"I'll shake myself if I found anything." was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.
Hours later
Dream world
'Son, get behind me!'
'Mom, what is that thing!?'
'Just stay behind me, I got it-'
'MOOOOM!'
Trinity's Pilot Cabin
My eyes snapped open as I let out a surprised gasp while shaking myself awake as my breathing quickens. I quickly looked around and saw that I'm still inside Trinity's cabin as I then slowly returning my breathing back to normal as I relaxed. I then leaned back against the seat and tilt my head upwards as I closed my eyes and let out a sigh.
"Bad dream?" Trinity speaks out.
"Yep." I replied as I leaned forward and slowly rubbing my eyes "Shit's still the same as before."
"Wanna talk about it?"
I sighed still rubbing my eyes and then pinching the bridge of my snout afterwards "I don't want to talk about it. Bad memories."
"Okay then... oh, there's something you should see here."
I removed my claw away from my face as I cracked one of my eye open and smirked "Shouldn't you supposed to shake yourself first?" I changed the subject.
The cabin jerks a little "Oh haha, smartguy. Want me to do the honors?"
I let out a small chuckle as I brought my claw out "No need to take it seriously, Trinity." I then placed my claw back onto my lap "Just lighten the mood, that's all." my face slightly drops "So, what is it that I supposed to see?"
"Take a look at it yourself."
I placed my helmet back onto my head again as I then knocked the side of the cabin. It jerks as the cockpit opened and I disembarked. Before I take a look at what Trinity's been talking about I started to do a little warm up. After doing my little routine I then took a glance at it and I paused as my face contorts into awe as I took my full attention to it.
"This is some sort of Wizard of Oz shit right there..." I muttered.
Ahead of us; is a city. A city made out of crystals.
Me and Trinity looked at each-other "Wanna find out?" we simultaneously suggest.
My expression falters as I figured something "Uh, Trinity?" I asked.
"What is it?" she replied with confusion.
"I believe you should stay here."
Trinity cocks her upper body to the side "Why?"
"Just in case something's gone wrong."
Trinity crosses her wing arms as she's thinking about it. Seconds later, she then looks at me and nods "Alright then, I'll stay put." she then points her wing arm at me with a non-existent smile "Buuut, that doesn't mean you'll be the only one have a great sightseeing." I then cocked my head at what she's saying with a confused expression.
"What do you mean, exactly?" I asked. If Trinity has eyes, she'll be rolling them now as she points my helmet before pointing back to her. It only took me a few seconds before my eyes widen as my mouth form an 'O' shape "Ooooh, I get it." I said realizing what she's meant "So you'll be looking at what I'm seeing by my helmet, correct?" Trinity nods.
"And. Just to make sure you don't do anything stupid to the occupants in the city by bursting your ear-drums."
I frowned "That's harsh... and mean."
"If you do something stupid that is."
I rolled my eyes "Alright, moooom. I get it. I'm a big boy already."
"Hmph. Now, go on. Shooo!" she nudged me forward. I gave her an unamused look before walking towards 'Emerald City'. Let's just hope that the inhabitants living there are friendly.
