//-------------------------------------------------------// Dragon Ball Sol - Heritage of Power -by ratedoni- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue - First Part //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue - First Part You know, for a long time, I have been here, looking after many dimensions, always watching and in very few ocassions doing something to change the way the history of that universe. Minor stuff, things like making a message never reach its target, which in turn will make a sargent never give the order to attack to an army and in that way ensure peace. Sometimes, things go a little bit more extreme, like having to erase a whole universe due to the actions of monsters who create horrible artifacts and potions, just like what ponies in that universe called Conversion Bureau. Nasty stuff, sadly I had to make that Celestia pay for her sins. Other times are a lot more surprising since I don't have to do a thing, things just happen, almost as if by random chance, like what is happening on this dimension. In the darkness and cold vastness of space, life is all but impossible. Even though nature can find a way in which to thrive, it’s not so simple when all you have is barren planets and asteroids. This, however, was not a planet; it was a gigantic ship travelling across the void. Humans had the idea of spaceships looking like huge flying saucers and the idea prevailed across generations and iterations of science fiction. This ship had certain parts reminiscent of the old black and white movie ships that people watched. Sadly, for many species living in galaxies far away from Earth, the sight of one of these ships was enough to create mass hysteria across the whole planet. Of course, that only happened if they already space faring or could communicate with other space travelling species. In the end, there was very little difference between those that knew and those that were still innocent about the dangers outside of their planets. Nothing stood between the ship and complete destruction of the planet. The white, red, and black ship was humongous, capable of carrying hundreds of soldiers, technicians, and scientists across the enormous emptiness of space. It was a marvel of engineering that had been revised and altered numerous times, especially every time one of the higher ups had a tantrum. Special shields protected against the vacuum of space and multiple weapons could be installed, but when the person that ran the ship like a well-oiled machine is stronger than any weapon currently on board, well, there was very little need of an automated defense system. Those scientists didn’t research weapons, no; they focused all their energy into better armor, better equipment to heal the soldiers, and even some useful accessories and gadgets for themselves when they had some free time. But not all of them were so laid back, even when the person in charge of the ship was not as sadistic as the others from his race. Their respect came from good management and his abilities as a leader rather than terror and his ruthlessness. Don’t misunderstand, the creature in charge could be just as psychopathic and genocidal as the rest, but he found those moments to be boring and useless. Better to have a thriving civilization as members of his empire than empty husks. This particular scientist, who could be confused for an earthling, had other obligations beyond the usual research of better methods to heal inside the regenerative pods. No, he had other ideas, he had vision, he was loyal… but mostly, he had too much time on his hand and he was getting bored with his current job, to be honest. Right now, he was monitoring the scanners in the ship and was in the middle of a yawn before something happened that would change the way of life in the whole galaxy. Nothing from that moment onward would be the same. He found a goat. … What? Seriously, he found a goat. One that was chained to a comet as this one traveled across space. The black goat was chained on top of it and, surprisingly enough, it was still alive according to the systems. Blinking once, then twice, the man stood from his chair and began to run in the direction of the person in charge of the ship. Outside the chambers, two soldiers with their long shoulder pads and the stylized symbol on their armor watched him run full speed in their directions and simply opened the door. They knew that whoever was this frantic had some big news. Inside the opulent, but still very much functional, chambers/meeting room, the creature in charge was accompanied by other two soldiers, the lieutenants of the Eizi conquering army. They were all watching a report on the monitor installed on the wall, something or another about the current situation of the Galactic Frieza army. Once inside, the scientist stood completely rigid and saluted as the three other people stopped what they were doing and took a look at the newcomer. “Eizi-sama! I have something important to report!” The way the scientist pronounced the name was closer to AC, but after hearing his name being mentioned the leader of the army raised an eyebrow, making the one with the message start to sweat. Everyone knew that you do not waste Eizi-sama’s time. “Well, I hope this will be good, after the terrible news I’ve received I need something interesting,” the creature said as his dark blue lips twisted into a smirk. The long lizard-like tail moved slightly as the light reflected upon his two black horns growing from his helmet shaped head. “Yes sir, well, I wouldn’t call it important, but at least interesting. Sir, we found a goat chained to a comet… and it is still alive and very powerful,” well, that was not what Eizi was expecting and the way he laughed at the sheer ridiculousness did nothing for the poor guy’s heart. “Well, what are you waiting for? Go and get that goat, if nothing else it would be fun to see how that creature was chained. Mortadel, make sure that they recover our new guest. Borlengo, get in contact with our informants, see if it is true that Frieza is dead, something tells me things will get more interesting soon,” as he said those words everyone saluted and went to do their jobs. As he stood alone watching through a window in his chambers, he thought that maybe this was a sign, a sign of something greater starting. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue - Second Part //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue - Second Part Being part of the Eizi Battle Force had more benefits than being in the Galactic Frieza Army. To begin with, you don’t have to be on the lookout for the leader’s bad temper and worry about suddenly being blown up. Eizi was as much of a megalomaniac as Frieza and other conquerors from the same race, but he didn’t use his soldiers as cannon fodder or punching bags. The Battle Force had high salaries to begin with and mix that with the fact that you won’t be used as a practice target by the leaders, you could see why lately things were really starting to shape up for the newly established Battle Force. Now that news about the death of Frieza was starting to spread across the galaxy, Borlengo knew that many members of the Galactic Frieza Army would start to defect and search for themselves. Maybe they could use that to make them split apart. The red skinned man smirked at the idea of dealing a swift punch to the Galactic Frieza Army in the end. His ideas of having some fun were put to rest as he heard the doors of the bridge hiss open and the very singular steps of his leader and their new guest. Standing ramrod straight, Borlengo watched the screens presenting the information of their newest target. The dry panorama was nothing new to Borlengo who grew up on a desert planet, but it was the rest of the planet that was awe-inspiring. It was so full of green hills, floating cities and so many obvious resources that he felt himself grow excited of the possibilities they could find inside the core. “So this is the planet?” Borlengo heard the voice of his leader, which was as cold as always, never showing any inflection, no matter how good a deal could be or how excited after a fight he became. His leader’s piercing eyes were always cold and calm, so much so that Borlengo, once he became a recruit, understood why Eizi and Frieza’s race were always named after the cold. At the same, it was time great for morale since their leader never wavered, but at the end of the day it just made Borlengo shake in terror at those moments when he was about to kill. “This is Equestria, the planet from where I was exiled,” said their new passenger, none other than the goat sorcerer. Borlengo was still as surprised now as he was when they retrieved the asteroid the goat was chained to from the void of space. First of all, it was a freaking black goat that could talk, and yes, Borlengo was from a different planet than most soldiers in the force, but even though it was very well known that the galaxy was populated by many different races, he has never seen something as weird as a talking goat. Also, the goat was crazy, maybe all that time being alone in space truly destroyed his mind, but it was utterly crazy, talking about the power of sorcery and powerful magicians chaining him to the asteroid. “It has been a long time since I have seen these plains, not since that foolish King Cosmos rebelled against me, now Equestria will meet again their true king!” While the goat raised a hoof like any good delusional dictator, Borlengo could not avoid looking at his leader’s face. It seemed that even Eizi thought that it was way over the top. He had raised an eyebrow as if asking Borlengo if all this was really happening. It was this moments that reminded Borlengo that even Eizi-sama had limits to how much stupidity he could take in one dose. “Yes, I can see that considering how much you have ranted during your whole stay at my ship, but thanks to you and your information about the planet, even though it is supposedly several thousand years old according to our analysis, this will be another good addition to our empire,” Eizi said smiling faintly at the way the creatures on one of the monitors -known as Minotaurs according to Grogar- were looking directly into the sky and at the ship that had entered the orbit. “Don’t forget that I am the true king! No one will rule this planet but me!” The maddened eyes of Grogar and the way he basically threatened his lord made Borlengo’s muscles to bulge, ready to show the goat that disrespect was not tolerated. Unfortunately for the goat, Eizi decided to take matters on his own hands. He raised one finger and Grogar soon found being levitated several feet off the ground. A bright red point of ki held Grogar up while it caused every nerve inside his body to twitch in deep pain. “You see, when I said that I would bring you back to your planet, there was no talk about any kind of coronation. My little goat, you have tested my patience over and over this whole travel, now you are screaming at your host while treating me as your lackey? That was foolish.” “How-how can you be this strong? I am th-the greatest magician!” “What you call magic is nothing more than another usage of ki, unfortunately for you, your pathetic level is nothing compared to what I can do. Take for example this; I just need one finger to make you feel a pain so strong that soon you will lose all feeling on your limbs … well, that or you will go insane. Before that, I will just allow you to watch your former planet and realize how worthless your existence was. Goodbye, Grogar,” Eizi said as the red dot on the trunk of Grogar began to grow and shine brighter. The next second, his torso erupted due to the power of Eizi, blood dripping across the metallic floors of the bridge as the guts of the magician Grogar splattered everywhere. “Captain Borlengo, will you take our deceased friend to the men in charge of the Mess Hall? I’ve heard that goat is quite delicious if prepared right. I hope Grogar proves a better dinner than passenger,” Eizi said as Borlengo saluted and he, along other two guards, took the mangled remains of one of the most dangerous villains in the history of Equestria. As the corpse was dragged outside of the bridge, Eizi pressed a button on a console and a platform began to rise. Unlike other members of his race, Eizi did not favor the popular floating chairs, he preferred to walk or even fly. That’s why the platform was so small, but it had its purpose, like giving him a quick access to the outside. Taking in the hot and invigorating air, Eizi enjoyed the feeling of oxygen unpolluted by factories or heavy machines. After months of living in a ship, he knew that his men would enjoy their stay on this planet. Also, the city build on the middle of the dry mountain area of the planet Equus was quite amazing. For a planet so far behind in technology, it seems that they tried all they could to build a city that they would feel proud of. It was a shame that it had to become a testament of what would happen to all who opposed the Eizi Battle Force. Quickly the alien conqueror raised a hand and a red and black ball of energy began to grow in the sky. With a flick of his hand everything started. The explosion engulfed the city, and after a few seconds, a light so bright that it was as if a second sun appeared, from the capital of the Minotaur city, there was only rubble and fire left.
