Fahrenheit

"aaah!"

I sat bolt up right on the grass like after waking up from a bad nightmare,

"What?, where am I?" I said in a grunt while getting up,

I noticed I was covered in dirt so I instinctively brushed it off,

while getting up though I noticed a sharp pain in my leg which caused me to wince,

I noticed that I was on the edge of a forest in the middle of nowhere so i decided to limp towards someone or even something to help me find out where the hell I am, the last thing I remember was... well... falling to... my death?

no that can't be right, i'm standing right here reasonably healthy... no, it can't...  how the fuck am i here, i'm dead for god's sake, I jumped off of my fucking roof! I can't be alive, there's no possible way!

And why am i here! why am i not in New York anymore?

I need answers.

I was limping down a dirt path which seemed to lead to a small cottage a little ways away from what looked like a small town,

I limped up to the door and gave it three short knocks,

"Hello, anyone in there, I need some directions",

"Coming!"

called a soft voice from the other side, I could clearly tell it was feminine,

I wasn't prepared for what was on the other side though, as the door opened slightly I could see what looked like a large eye peek out of the doorway before i could hear an audible "eep!" then the door slammed shut.

the poor girl was scared of something so I knocked again this time saying "Hey what's wrong? i'm not gonna hurt you if that's what you're thinking, I just need some help ok?",

the door opened again slightly to reveal her eye and half of her face, I took notice that she looked nothing like a human, she had a muzzle protruding from her face and long pink hair that covered half her eye,

her skin was a butter colored yellow and her eyes were pretty big, bigger than a normal woman's eyes were, she was quite visibly shaking too,

"Don't worry, I wont hurt you, please i just need some help"

she seemed to calm slightly after stating this and opened her door a little more so I could see more of her and a little inside her home, she had quite a few animals walking, climbing, flying,

"you a vet or something?" as I pointed behind her, she turned around getting the message that I was looking behind her

"kinda, I just look after the poor woodland creatures that are hurt or need care of any kind, you like animals too?" she asked after giving her answer

"yes actually, before my most recent job I worked with animals often, helping them when they were hurt" I replied back

She seemed to brighten up at this and opened the door wider as she let me in, she let me sit on the couch for a while, "sorry, I didn't catch your name miss...?"

" Fluttershy "

"sorry I didn't catch that" i responded

" Fluttershy " she responded again in a slightly louder tone,

Fluttershy? I wondered, odd name for a girl but none the less, she told me her name so i'll tell her mine

"Lucas, Lucas Kane" I told her,

"oh? if you don't mind me asking, what are you?",

"Human" I responded,

"I could ask the same about you"

"I'm a pony ",

Ponies? talking sentient equines? I must be dead, there's no way

"Hello?"

you mean i'm talking to a miniature horse right now

"Lucas you there?"

I go through a mental Hell and suddenly wake up in a place full of talking tiny horses... seriously!?

"oh my celestia!"

fluttershy shrieked which in turn made me shoot out of my little trance I had going

"huh, whats wrong!?" I asked her,

"your back leg, its bleeding!"

oh right forgot about that, its not as bad as it was earlier but it still hurt, fluttershy returned with a band-aid and disinfectant and got to work on my leg right away, I could feel my eyes droop a little each ten or so seconds and after about a minute I was out cold.
