All of us was wearing golden armour which covered out heads, hooves and torso. They also had a steel sword and shield on them, while I had nothing except from my medical kit. I know these two by their codenames but I don't see them as friends. After all, one of us will probably die in the next battle. I sighed and looked at Pvt.Blackwing, the Pegasus. "So when do you think this war will end?" I asked, even though I had a good guess with what she'll respond with. Pvt.Blackwing shook her head before replying with, "I have no idea. Maybe it will never end - that doesn't matter to me though, I'll still fight for Equestria until the day that I die!" I already figured that would be the response. "What about you Spectra?" Pvt.Spectra only shrugged and said, "Even if it does end it won't really matter. Another one will take it's place in a couple of hundred years. That's the harsh cold truth." I agree with that logic after all the war between the Griffon Empire and the Equestrian Empire only happened fifty years ago, even though it was short. I slumped back into my bed and stared at the celling. We stayed like that for a while, just avoiding all conversation with one another until a red unicorn with a yellow mane walked in, he has a different set of armour than us as he's a general. His armour was bigger and more bulkier but also had designs of the sun carved on it. "Pvt. Blackwing and Pvt.Spectra I want you two to come out and take the monthly run." He demanded with authority in his voice. "Also Sweetie, we're getting injured soldiers from the front line being brought back - I need you to do what you do best" I nodded at that and got out my bed. I looked at the two mares in front of me and said, "Good luck, with the test you two." Pvt.Blackwing smirked at that, "I don't need good luck, cause I already know I'm getting a higher score than anypony else here." Spectra smirked at that as well, "Is that a challenge?" Blackwing giggled a bit, "Maybe." With that we left the tent, me going a separate way from them. I sighed. What can't things just go back to normal? POV: Scootaloo Time: 11:30 AM Location: Canterlot, Outpost Charlie The Luna Republic I brought my blade down upon a sun-worshipping soldier and ended his life in an instant, before I turned around and came face to face with another one holding a steel axe. He rushed at me but I quickly got the advantage when I side-stepped his attack and plunged my sword through his back, penetrating his heart and ending his life like the ones before him. Three more of them surrounded me as I brought my sword out of the last one's back. I smirked as a Pegasus rushed at me, I ducked underneath and brought my sword upward - killing off the unicorn that would've brought me a lot of trouble if I had given him the chance. Then the Pegasus growled behind me and rushed at me, while the earth pony swung his mace at me but I dodged and allowed the Pegasus to crash into her ally and the earth pony to whack his mace onto the Pegasus skull. Both of them weren't in the condition to fight so I left them be. As I turned around I saw four other ponies surrounding me, three of which were unicorns and one was a earth pony. My blade was quickly taken away with their levitation magic as the earth pony rushed at me with a axe. I let out a scream of frustration and agony as the axe cut my right back hoof when I jumped out of the way. I barley had anytime to react when I found myself levitating thanks to the unicorns. The earth pony rushed at me, however before he could kill me a arrow ripped through his skull, making the unicorns drop me in surprise. I used this opportunity as I grabbed the axe off of the dead pony and cut one of the unicorns throat's open. I couldn't do anything when I was pushed back by their magic, though. I attempted to fly away and find a weapon that I could use but my body was paralysed as I reached mid-air. Suddenly, a black unicorn wearing purple and blue armour rushed at them with insane speeds and used a scythe to cut both of the unicorns heads off with a swing. This made their grip on me disappear and I flew down next to the stallion that saved my life. "Thanks for that." I said to the stallion, that I now recognized to be General Nightshade. "No problem Lieutenant" Responded the General, passing me a dagger that he had. "I'd hate to lose somepony as good as you. Now, go into the main building. Me, Pvt.Daz, Pvt. Ino and Pvt. Zela will take care of the soldiers outside. You, Pvt. Sharp, Pvt. Cage and Pvt. Enz will go in and get the info - there shouldn't be many ponies in there." I nodded and ran off towards the building with two earth pony stallions and one unicorn mare. They have normal Luna guard armour on and have a different variety of weapons. I saw that Sharp has a dagger and a bow and I noticed the unicorn only had a small thin blade and the bulky stallion - Cage - had a gigantic hammer. "It's been awhile Sharp" I said, looking back to Sharp as we ran to the building. "You still using a bow?" "Yeah, It's been what five years since we last talked, hasn't it Razor?" He asked me by my codename. "And for your information, I still do use bows - they still have the same poison tip on them like always." I chuckled, as we entered a room with two earth pony soldiers in there - they didn't last long. Enz quickly killed them by using their own blades to impale them. "Nice move, Enz" I said with a smirk. I defiantly liked this mare's style. She only 'humped' in response, which made my smirk turn into a grin. Yep, I need to work with her again after this. I shook my head and made those thoughts leave as I observed the room - it had nothing of interest. Just a few weapons here and there. I guess this is just where they stored all the weapons. I saw a door at the end of the room and realized that it was pure steel - something I couldn't break - but there was somepony here who could break it.... "Alright, Cage -  I've heard you like hammers, right?" Cage only grinned and showed me his gigantic hammer, with blood covering it. "Hell yeah!" "Then would ya mind using that thing to bash down that door?" I asked, seeing his eyes bright up. He violently rushed at the door and broke the entire thing with one swing. My eyes must've widened because I've never seen a weapon so powerful before. "Barbaric Brute." Muttered Sharp underneath his breathe, making me chuckle. "Alright guys, no one seems to be here - let's get the info and wrap this up!" I shouted, receiving nods from everypony. "And if ya lucky - you might get a promotion." "Good job, Lieutenant." Came a voice from behind me. "Thanks, General." I responded without looking behind me. He chuckled and looked up to the sky while smirking. "With this info we can now attack Outpost Beta. They won't even know what hit them." I smirked alongside him as I watched my squad collecting all the info they could. "Soon, Luna will win this war and the tyranny of Celestia shall come to an end." POV: Apple Bloom Time 11:30 AM Location: Crystal Palace, Throne Room The Sacred Brotherhood I am currently standing next to Princess Cadence as she sat on her crystal made throne. The room we were in wasn't that special - it just was full of golden and crystal items and pictures. All the guards were currently sent out of the room and the main door was locked. Cadence had even gone so far to soundproof the room with magic so nothing would be heard. I turned my attention from the room it self and onto the female griffon standing in front of the princess. She has three bags. One has a crossbow in her bag if the outline of the item is anything to do by, the other one was gigantic and looked like it held many heavy weapons and the last one is a very small bag - as big as my dagger in fact which was only seven inches. "I have what you want. Question is how do you want to get it off of me?" Asked the griffon with a smirk. "Listen here, Gilda. I have wasted enough time with you and your games." Said Cadence in a dangerously low tone. "You better not be messing around this time because if you are....then Apple Bloom's going to get some fun tonight." When the Princess said this I showed off my dagger, dripping with blood. I smirked at her with what I would hope to be sadistic glee. Too be fair, I'm only here for the intimidation factor and too be honest it works quite well. Especially with the fact I'm an infamous assassin, combine that with a powerful alicorn staring you down and you would be scared shitless. Not that I am the best with emotion though - with my psychopathy and all. The griffon, Gilda, looked terrified. "Ok! Ok!  This isn't a joke - just stop looking at me like that!" I gave a look of disappointment to make it look as if I wanted her blood. To be honest that it's not like I reject making my kill count grow bigger but I couldn't really care regardless. "Good." Spoke Cadence with a smirk. "Now tell me what you discovered. Then you'll get your payment." "You were right. The changelings are back." Said Gilda, a look of seriousness and excitement on her face. I'd reckon the excitement could be for the money - however there could be a different reason behind it. "Chrysalis has silently and slowly had her army hide within Equestria - disguising them as normal ponies to politicians. She has used this to manipulate both Luna and Celestia to going to war with one another." "Do you have any proof?" Asked Cadence with an eyebrow raised. Gilda nodded with smirk and opened her bag. As she did so I got my dagger out - just in case she tried anything stupid. Gilda isn't as stupid as I thought she was and actually had a bag full of green blood. Changeling blood. Known to be as poisonous as a snake's bite. "I have that and - " After rummaging through her bigger bag, she pulled out Shining Armour's officer sword. " this!" I saw the princess eyes widened. "Where. Did. You. Get. That?!" Her voice was full of rage and sadness "When I was spying on Canterlot's Alpha Outpost, I noticed Celestia's right hoof stallion, Shining Armour walking into a forest. I decided to follow him out of interest, then he paused and turned directly towards me - like he knew I was following him. Yet, all this time I was quietly flying in the sky and I made sure I kept my distance. So he used his magic - which was green by the way - to pull me down and I he swung his blade, thankfully I used my talons to scratch his eyes and he threw me at a tree, so I decided to play dead. He seemed to have brought it and ran away, leaving his sword on the ground in the process. So I collected that and his green blood and decided to take it to you. Now, we are here." After her lengthy explanation I already saw many holes in her story. Yet, I didn't tell the princess as I'm sure she already realized them. "Alright then," Spoke Cadence in a clam and soft tone as she levitated the money to Gilda. "Take it and leave. I have no more requirements for you." Gilda only grinned and ran off with the money as fast as possible, like she was scared that it would be taken off her. I sighed and shook my head. "Want me to kill her?" I spoke in a cold and emotionless voice. "You and me both know that she's lying." "Don't kill her. Yet." Said Cadence with a smirk. "The fool was lying but she is stupid to think that I didn't know that. You see when she left, she didn't even check what was in the bag as she's a greedy little brat. Now, we have a magical tracking device inside her bag. I want you to follow her and find out where she is going. I know there is more to this than Changelings, especially since Thorax made them peaceful." I chuckled at that, thankful that the news didn't spread to any other kingdoms too far from Equestria. Now our enemy's have dug their own grave and I would be happy to let them suffocate in it. "Go and get brother Iron Anchor and sister Obsidian." Said Cadence as her smirk grew even bigger. "Give 'em hell." I nodded and walked out and saw two ponies standing out side, they both were wearing black robes with a black hood all outlined with red markings - just like me. "Sister, we've been summoned by mother." Spoke the assassin, Obsidian. I nodded. "Looks like we got a griffon that needs to be taken care of." Iron Anchor smirked and said, "Well, well that little griffon brat eh? Hah! Good. She was to cocky for my liking." Obsidian rolled her eyes. "Your more egotistical than her." "Aye, but I have the skill to back it up." Said brother Anchor. "He's not wrong." Spoke a voice from behind me, without turning around I replied with, "About time you got here, Grim. I got a little task for you." The voice gasped before replying with, "Ohhhh...what is now? Another poison? A healing potion? Or maybe a new weapon?!" I smirked coldly and made the others shiver with my empty eyes. "No....I want to see if a earth pony can learn magic." "Well.....there is one way..."
