Chapters Twilight was brushing her teeth. She was in her pjs, her mane was a mess, and she was about to go to bed. She had just spent the entire day helping Starlight with her friendship lessons up untile noon. Then Spike joined them and they had all watched a movie together. It had been a nice quiet day. She rinsed her mouth and went to tell Spike goodnight. but he wasnt in bed.
"Spike?" Twilight called, after walking around the castle for a few minutes calling to him she started to get worried."SPIKE!!!" she yelled when Starlight emerged from a nearby doorway.
"Twilight. Go to bed, Spikes probably just doing Spike stuff, probably just hiding so he can get some alone time."
"But Spike nev.."
"Twilight, its 2 A.M, were on the 9th floor, and I havent gone to sleep yet, I'm right next to the stairs, if hed left, Id have heard him. The stairs creek when their in use" Twilight looked reluctant but after thinking about it, she knew it was true.
"Alright, but when you see him, you tell him he`s in trouble for staying up so late." and Twilight left Starlight to her sleepy rambles of creaky crystals. Twilight checked Spikes bed again, still empty. She sighed and went to bed.
-5 A.M-
Twilight was awoken with a bang when Starlight slammed open her door.
"Starlight, it like 5 A.M" Twilight started but Starlight cut her off.
"I woke up early and found a mob of ponies saying that half of the pony in ponyville are gone!" That woke Twilight up.
"WHAT!? Who? How? Why?"
"Big Mac, Miss Chearlee, both the Spa ponies, Bulk Biceps, Pumpkin Cake and Mr.Cake, and many, many others. I started freaking out so I used a tracking spell, but they're gone!!!"
"Oh no." Twilight said as she realized something. "were Spike!?"
"He...he`s missing to"
The Scream could be heard all across Ponyville.
-Noon-
By noon the entire town was in an uproar, half of the ponies were gone! Miss.Cake was trying to find the lost Pumpkin and Mr.Cake while a tearful Pinkie pie distracted Pound. Applejack, Granny Smith, and Applebloom were looking for Big mac. even Diamond Tiara was looking for Silver Spoon. The entire population of Ponyville was searching. and there were no leads. they were just gone. Mr.Cake had taken Pumpkin upstairs after she fell asleep, but when Mr.Cake went upstairs to tucking Pound. Mr.Cake and Pumpkin were nowhere to be found. and worst of all after a few letters to the princesses, Twilight announced that this had not happened any place else in Equestria. It had only been ponyville. After several hours everyone went to the castle. no one was to leave, and everypony was watch by somepony else at all times so they wouldn't disappear. Once the news had gotten around Discord came and held onto Fluttershy so she wouldn't disappear too. after a week, ponies went home, all hope of finding their friends and loved ones lost."
Twilight was brushing her teeth. Spike was gone, and after looking around, she and her friends had discovered that it had been exactly half the pony population of ponyville and one Dragon. she sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror. and asked herself tearfully
"Where are they?"
Pinkie was sad, she was alone today. Mrs.Cake and Pound were visiting family. she had closed up shop, and everypony was too busy to talk to her so she just walked to the water hole. she was relaxing next to it when she heard rustling in the bushes, she jumped up and slowly went to them, then said
"Hey!" what happened next even she hadn't seen coming, dressed in the Skin of a Deer, Spike rose out of the Busses, they stared at each other for a moment, Pinkie in shock, Spike confused. "Spike!?"
"Yes."
"Spike!!"
"Yes."
"SPIKE!!!"
"YES!!NAME SPIKE!" They just stared at each other in silence. Pinkie was having a meltdown.
"But you....and everypony.......just gone.......left oven on.." while she babbles on Spike was thinking of other things.
"Pink Pony lost skin. Must be cold, poor pony. Was stolen maybe? Is lost? She need help?" Spike though as he looked Pinkie in the eye and snapped his fingers, Pinkie looked at him and Spike said. "Why pink one lone? Is lost?" Pinkie was stupified and asked
"Spike do.....do you remember me?"
"What name?"
"Im Pinkie Pie!!!!The best party pony in Equestria!! The element of Laughter!!" Spike looked her in the eyes and said
"Hmm Pie not have Fur`s, is lone, unarmed, lying in open, ....."suddenly without warning, Spike Picked up Pinkie by the waste and started walking home" Pie have skull crack. Take to Cheer for to fix." Pinkie did the only thing she could do, she just went with
"If he takes me to his home" she thought "I may find more missing ponies, then I`ll just come back and Tell Twilight were they are." so trying to talk like Spike was she said: "Where Home?" Spike responded with a simple
"Pie definitely have Skull crack, Pie lost, lucky Spike find, Pie eaten by wolves had Spike not found her." and on they went. Pinkie unaware of the hell she was about to enter

Skull Crack means he thinks she has suffered a hard blow to the head
it had been 6 months since they had been lost. they didnt know they were lost, though, they didnt remember a thing until about 2 months ago, they had all woken up in the same state. Cold, lost, and hungry.the only thing they could remember was their names. the first one to do something was Big mac
"Find food, not be Hungry! Find warm, Not be cold. Make home, Not be lost!!!!" truly a great speech. it rallied up the other ones. the scaly one named Spike was to first to solve two problems with one stone. he saw a Deer, it`s fur fighting the cold. Spike picked up a flat stone and threw it at the deer, the speed of the stone alone broke its neck. without missing a beat, Spike ran to it and started tearing the skin off it after a few bloody seconds he put on the bloody skin. The others looked at him in silence until Spike yelled.
"WARM!!!" they cheered. but before they dispersed to find their own warm, Spike Leaned over and picked up the dead deer and yelled. "FOOD!!!!" and sank his teeth into its neck, tearing out a chunk to eat. the cheers were defining. and finally a mare named Cheerilee, who had been looking around yelled
"Rock hole`s near! Make Home! NOT BE LOST!!!" this to ended with cheers. soon they had split into three groups. some went with the Speaker Mac to make the rules. some went with Hunter Spike to get Food and Warm. and the rest went with Mother Cheer to make the holes nice. after 2 months everything was good. The laws had been made clear.

GIVE FOOD TO MOTHER CHEER FOR CLEANING AND WARM MAKING.

It was a normal day in the holes. hunter Spike and Carrot Cake had returned Spike was dressed in his deer skin. Carrot was dressed in his gazelle skin, they had some rabbits and a bear on their moving sleigh. the snow was getting less deep and slightly more watery. Speaker Mac was wearing a bear skin and debating the issue on the weather with his Speakers. Mother Cheer and the Nurturers were with Young Pumpkin (dressed in racoon skin) and were showing the young one how to properly gut a fish when Mac made the announcement.
"ALL LISTEN!!" He yelled "WARM COME, COLD GO!! WE FIGHT COLD. WE NOT FIGHT WARM!! HOLES TO WARM!!! MOVE TO THE COLD!!!" This was received with cheer`s and the packing began. Spike and other hunters all hooked themselves up to the sleigh while Mac and Cheer the Nurtures and the Speakers all packed everything up onto the sleighs. after an hour, they were ready and they started to move.
Unbenonst to them, they were moving in the direction of Ponyville.
As they walked Pinkie was still in awe, after half a year, Spike had just by chance found her, but he didn't seem right.
"So Spike, where are we going?"
"Holes, is home, Pie has skull crack, Lucky Spike find Pie" Spike said all this in one breath, clearly use to quick responses before Pinkie could even process what he had just said he continued "Is ok Pie, is confused, is having fur stolen."
"I didn't have any fur's on me except my own pelt." Pinkie said, but Spike stopped and looked at her like she had just spoken backwards, and shook his head.
"No fur? And not know hole? and Spike met Pie only now?" Spike looked at her for a second "must have though rot, poor Pie"
"Th..Thought rot? I've never heard of that, what is it?"
"is waking up in field with no nothing, not warm, no food, and is lost, all at hole suffered from it."
"So....who is at this hole place?"
"Spike take you to Mother Cheer, she fix you and give you fur, We leaving holes soon, lucky Spike find Pie, death by wolf is hard way to go."
"um Spike I think we need to have a chat"
"We is having that"
"Like face to face chat" in an instant Spike spun Pinkie around so her head was next to his "that's not what I meant" Spike looked at her

"meet when Spike get thought rot?"
'No, before you had Thought rot!!" now that peaked his interest.
"So Pie never get Thought rot? member life fore?" Spike gave her A big Smile "that why Pie talk funny?"
"yes that why I talk funny" Pinkie said with her own smile. Spike suddenly stopped
"We arrive at home" before them was where all the lost ponies now lived "Welcome to Holes."
