Chapters Yu-Gi-Oh! EQG: Duelist Rangers Final Season
As the school day drew to a close, Burst's mind drifted to his long absent father. Scorpan mentioned that there was person who almost defeated Tirek thirteen years ago. And that person bore a striking resemblance to Burst. 'Is that why Dad left? Is that why I haven't seen him since I was five?' Burst sighed. 'Who really knows? There's no use in trying to speculate. The fact is he's gone. And nothing I say or do can bring him back here.' Celestia and Moon noticed Burst's mood and went up to him.
"Everything alright?", Celestia asked.
"Yeah. Just thinking about what Scorpan told me after Tirek was defeated. From the description he gave of the figure that nearly beat Tirek thirteen years ago, it sounds a lot like my dad. Coincidentally, my dad disappeared from my life thirteen years ago. Maybe he left to fight Tirek and he failed to defeat him. So to keep me and my mom safe, he probably left us behind. Heh. Would you listen to me? I sound completely crazy..." Burst was interrupted when Moon and Celestia wrapped their arms around him.
"It was hard being without him. Wasn't it?", Moon asked. Burst nodded.
"But you're not alone now. Right?", Celestia asked. Burst managed a smile.
"Yeah. And I guess that's all that really matters now. Thank you. Both of you. I couldn't ask for a better pair of girlfriends."
"Maybe we should walk home with you today.", Celestia said with a smile. "It'll be nice to get in some conversation that's not tied to fighting monsters or being rangers." The three walked home, but paused when they saw a car parked in front of Burst's house.
"Weird. Mom's not expecting company...", Burst said as he slowly opened the front door of his house. He saw his mom sitting on the couch crying and three people in the living room. "Mom?" Lumina picked her head up, and walked over to Burst. "What's going on?"
"Burst. There's...there's someone you haven't seen in a long time...", Lumina said as she sniffled.
Burst was curious as to what she meant, and headed into the living room. One of the people Burst saw turned to face him. "Has it really been that long? Have thirteen years really gone by?"
Burst froze. "I wondered why you were gone for so long. Dad." Celestia and Moon's jaws hit the floor. "But all I've gotta ask is...why? Why did you leave us? Was it because you didn't beat Tirek?"
Aether froze. "Where...where did you hear that name?"
"From Scorpan. After I freed him from Tirek. He said that thirteen years ago, a figure came close to beating Tirek. And that he looked a lot like me. Was that you? If it was, you don't have to worry about him. I destroyed Tirek. But you're back now. So I guess that's what more important. That should be all that matters."
"Very true. But Burst, tell me. When you defeated Tirek, did you tap into an energy you've never experienced before?"
"Actually...yeah. I did. But what's that matter?", Burst asked. Aether smiled as he focused energy. Burst's eyes widened.
"Let's just say it runs in the family. Tirek sought to drain my power, so I confronted him. Unfortuantely, I was unable to defeat him right then and there. And to keep you and your mother safe I had to stay awar from you. But in the process, I found a new family." Aether then motioned to the two other people. "Meey my step-son. Blitz Surge. And my new wife. Abyss." Blitz looked much like Burst, but with a different skin color and hairstyle. Abyss had pitch black hair and pale white skin.
"Nice to meet you two.", Burst said with a polite nod.
"Likewise.", Blitz answered as he looked at Burst. "So. What makes you so special?"
"...Nothing. Why do you ask?"
"Well since there's been so many monster attacks in Canterlot, my Blitz is the leader of a strike force to contend with such nuisances.", Abyss said proudly. "My boy's a hero."
"Huh. Neat.", Burst said with a smile. Abyss and Blitz frowned. "Gee. You two are real buckets of sunshine, Anyway Dad, how'd you like to meet my girlfriends?" Celestia and Moon entered the room. Burst pointed to each of them respectively. "These are Celestia and Moon."
"Pleased to finally meet you Mr. Stream.", Celestia said with a polite smile.
"Huh. You and Burst are almost identical.", Moon noted.
"Burst. You didn't tell me you had a way with women.", Aether said with a smile.
"I guess the same way you got Mom.", Burst said with a small smile. "inner and outer beauty."
"He's got that right.", Moon said as she and Celestia held Burst tightly.
"Ummm, could you two tone it down a bit? Please?", Burst asked with a blush. "A-anyway, are you getting back together with Mom?"
Aether nodded. "Yes. I am. Now that Tirek's gone, I've got no reason to stay away. Abyss and Blitz even agreed to it."
"I guess this day ended better than I thought."

Episode 4: Lancers Strike
The next school day went by fairly normally. That is, until the rangers got a massive alert on their morphers. Burst went outside of class, and contacted Pegasus. "Pegasus? What's up?"
"There's attacks going on all over Canterlot!", Pegasus explained. "All of a sudden, a bunch of portals opened up releasing monsters! Maybe that monster yesterday was only a prelude. You and the others better morph!"
"Got. Guys? Did you get any of that?"
"We all did Burst.", Inferno responded. "We'll split up into groups and take care of each monster that's come out of the portals!"
"Good. Let's go!" Burst ran out the entrance, and readied his morpher! "IT'S MORPHIN' TIME! Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" In a flash of light, Burst stood in his ranger armor and flew to the nearest sight of the monster attacks. The one closest to Burst was at Sugarcube Corner. "Looks like I made it." The monster was raiding the display case. "Alright ugly! Put the sweets down, and come quietly!" The monster was a Gilasaurus who roared at Burst before rushing him! Burst managed to tackle Gilasaurus and take the fight outside! "Just you and me you walking fossil!" Burst was about to engage when a car pulled up! "Huh?!" Blitz stepped out of the car and removed his sunglasses.
"Not a bad first day of work.", Blitz said with a smirk as he unholstered his blaster and fired at Gilasaurus. "This is your first and only warning monster. Stand down, or I'll have to make you leave by force." Gilasauras just snarled. "Force it is then." Blitz fired more shots at Gilasaurus! Wounding and enraging the beast! Gilasaurus jumped at Blitz, but Blitz kicked the dinosaur to the side! "Now to dispose of you." Blitz tossed a device over to where Gilasaurus had fallen, and a portal to the monster world appeared! Returning the monster to its own world. Blitz then used his earpiece. "All Lancer teams. Report in."
"We've been able to wipe-up most of the creatures. But Gilda's still having some trouble with one of the bigger ones. Also, we've made contact with Duelist Rangers.", a Lancer reported.
"Good work." Blitz hung up his earpiece before turning to Burst. "Well? Interested in tagging along?"
"Why's that matter to you?"
"Come on. We're doing the same job. Protecting this city. No reason why we can't work together for a bit?"
"Just try to keep up." Burst once again took to the air and soon arrived at the site of the major monster attack. The monster attacking was Koa'ki Meiru Valafar. "No wonder they're having trouble." Burst noticed Rainbow Dash and a Lancer engaging the monster. "Might as well make myself known." Burst summoned his blaster and fired at Valafar! "Yo hot-head! Heads up!" Valafar growled and fired more flames at Burst in an effort to shoot him down! Blitz soon arrived on the scene and stepped out of his car.
"Well, well. Looks like I've got a challenge.", Blitz said with a smirk. Blitz then strapped on a device to his wrist. "It's morphin' time." Burst was shocked when Blitz transformed into a ranger! But what was more surprising was that his ranger armor looked EXACTLY like his save for the darker color. The same one that Sombra and Chrysalis saw when they were attacked by that false ranger. "Time to show them how a real ranger fights!" Blitz charged at Valafar, and executed a devastating punch making the monster reel in pain! "Now to finish it." Blitz summoned his blaster and charged it up! Unleashing a powerful charged shot that obliterated Valafar. "That should take care of the problem." Blitz then powered down and pulled out his phone. "Looks like the mayor's deemed us worth every penny."
"You guys charge to protect the city?", Burst asked.
"It's the price of security.", Blitz said with a smile. "Everyone can have it so long as they're willing to pay."
'I've got a bad feeling about this guy.' , Burst thought. "So what do you call yourselves anyway?"
"We're the Lancers. We strike at any threats full force.", Blitz said proudly. "You rangers can't be everywhere at once now can you?" Blitz then turned his attention to the arriving news crews. "If you'll excuse me. I have a public to address." The reporters nearly swarmed him, but he handled it no problem. "Today, Canterlot has seen me and the other Lancers in action. As you've seen, we are clearly capable of handling threats with minimum damage and great efficiency. One could say we're on the level of the Duelist Rangers."
At that remark, one of the reporters approached Burst. "Blue-Eyes Ranger? What do you have to say about that?"
"They're pretty good.", Burst answered.
"Are you afraid that they're better than you?"
"Look. We just protect the city. If they're doing the same, I've got no reason to complain.", Burst replied.
"And we don't need a giant robot to do it.", Blitz said smugly.
"HEY! The Megazord's awesome!", Rainbow Dash protested! But Burst stopped her.
"Come on Rainbow. Let's just go before things escalate." Burst and Rainbow teleported back to the command center and powered down. They also noticed the others staring at the monitor with frowns. "I take it you all had a run-in with the Lancers too?"
"Yeah. They just crashed our fights!", Inferno complained. "But I'll admit. They took care of the monsters way faster than we did."
"Plus for them, it's a REAL job.", Ice noted. "They handed bills to the owners of the establishments that were attacked."
"And apparently the mayor thinks they're worth every cent.", Burst added. "Guys? That brings me to another important matter."
"What is it darling?", Rarity asked.
Burst sighed. "If they've really got this handled....maybe we should call it quits."
"Burst...what're you saying?!", Rainbow Dash demanded.
"I'm saying...maybe this is the end for the Duelist Rangers."

Episode 5: The End of the Rangers?
"Could you run that by us...ONE more time?", Ice asked. Shadow on the other hand, was less...calm in handling the matter.
"Burst, are you crazy?!", Shadow yelled. "Why would you even say that?!"
"Well if the Lancers are really going to defend the city, there might not be a need for us anymore.", Burst said with a sigh.
"NO!", Rainbow Dash screamed. "You can't do this to us! Not now! Not after all we've been through! I LOVE being a ranger! The armor, the zrods, everything! You can't take this away from me!" Rainbow Dash was tearing up.
"Rainbow. I didn't say we ALL had to stop being rangers. Only those that want to hang up their morphers. I don't know about the rest of you but..." Burst removed his morpher. "I'm going to get back to a normal life. Those of you who want to stay rangers, go ahead. You're my team. And I'd be an idiot if I didn't consider your interests. For me? This is it." Burst set his morpher on the box that their morphers had been originally contained in. "I'm going back to school." But before he could leave, Gold stopped him.
"Burst. I know they may be faster than us, and they seem to have things handled. But we're fighting for what's right. Not a paycheck.", Gold said sadly. "You're our leader. And you've done a pretty good job. Please Burst. Don't go."
"You're right. I WAS the leader. But I never asked for any of this to happen." Burst sighed. "But that doesn't mean I wish it never did. Like I said. Everyone's free to stay rangers or turn in their morphers. That's not for me to decide. You can take things from here Gold." Burst went to the warp pad, and teleported back to CHS. The other rangers were then left to contemplate their decision.
"I'm with Dash.", Steel said. "I'm staying a ranger."
"Ditto.", Rainbow Dash said with a nod for emphasis.
"In that case...", Ace said as he, Shadow, and Ice unstrapped their morphers. "We're calling it quits."
"Yeah. We had a good run, but I really wanna give Starlight more attention.", Shadow said.
"If the Lancers really got this thing handled, then I guess I've got more time to hang out with Zap.", Ice said with a shrug as he and his brothers headed for the warp pad and returned to school.
"I think I'm gonna stay a ranger.", Inferno said.
"I'd never let you carry on so lonely darling.", Rarity said with a small smile. "I'll stay with you too."
"I'll stay a ranger too.", Sunset said with a smile. "But I gotta admit. It won't be the same with most of the guys leaving."
"I'll be hanging up my morpher as well.", Moon said with a small smile. "I've already got plenty of magic and strength. So I really don't need my ranger powers. Plus, Celestia and I would like a bit more time with Burst."
"And I've got enough on my plate with paperwork.", Celestia said as she handed in her morpher and she and Moon headed to the warp pad to return to CHS.
"I just got my powers.", Veenus said. "I'd like to stay so I can get some training in to use them better."
Gold sighed. "I guess we're still a team. But the command center's never felt so empty." Sunset put her hand on Gold's shoulder.
"Yeah. I'll miss them being part of the team. But once a ranger, always a ranger. Right?"
"Yeah.", Gold said sadly. "But it doesn't make seeing them go any easier."

Burst headed home and gave Celestia a goodbye kiss before he and Moon left for their house. "Moon?"
"Yeah?"
"Why did it matter so much to you that I was giving up on my dreams?"
"Burst. I'm an alicorn of the night. That means I'm also in charge of dreams. And nothing hurts more than seeing someone give up or throw their dreams away. It's just so sad.", Moon said sadly. "That's why I asked if you thought you were doing the right thing. You were living the dream of being a superhero Burst. And now?" Moon sighed. "Now you've given it up."
Burst's heart sank. "Man. Now I feel like an idiot." As Burst and Moon headed inside, Burst noticed Blitz waiting for them. "Let me guess. Slow day at work?"
"Hello to you too Burst. If you'd hear me out, I've got quite the proposition for you."
"What offer do you have that I'd want?"
"I know you're a ranger. Or at least..you WERE.", Blitz said with a smirk. Burst was shocked. "You didn't think I saw you slip off your morpher when we first met? Regardless, back to my offer. Join my team. I'd be more than happy to secure you a commanding position. With a decent wage of course."
"What makes you think I was a Duelist Ranger for the fame?", Burst asked sternly.
"Come now. Don't you miss it? The cheering kids, the happy citizens?", Blitz asked. "Join the Lancers, and you could get all that back. With added benefits as well."
"Let me think abou-NO.", Burst said sternly.
"Are you really that stupid?", Blitz asked with a frown. "I'm offering you the ideal job and you're turning it down?"
"I became a ranger because I wanted to fight for what was right. Not a paycheck. Besides if people can't pay you and your team, then you'll leave them to fend for themselves. Not to mention you attacked two of my friends not two nights ago. You're a disgrace to that morpher and the armor."
"Please. Those two former villains? They don't have the right to walk among us. They belong with the other monsters we've sent packing."
"And what gives you the right to judge them like that?!", Burst spat!
"Simple. My morpher. As long as I wear it, I've got the right to decide who or who not to save."
"You call yourself a ranger? You make me sick. Now GET. OUT.", Burst growled.
Blitz frowned. "Such a shame you couldn't see things my way. You disappoint me Burst." And with that, Blitz left.
"I can't help but hate that guy the more he speaks."
"You and me both.", Moon said with a frown. "How'd someone like him even GET a morpher?"
"That's what I'd like to know.", Burst said as his mind drifted off in thought.
CHS Soccer Fields...
Rainbow Dash was out practicing her moves with Steel when a new player stole the ball! "HEY!" Rainbow Dash gave chase, and managed to steal the ball back and score a goal! "Alright you Lancer creep! You've got a lot of nerve coming onto my turf and crashing my practice!"
Gilda let out a chuckle. "You've not changed a bit Dash." Gilda removed her sunglasses. "Don't tell me you forgot about me already?"
"G!" Rainbow rushed up to Gilda and gave her a fist-bump. "I didn't know you were a part of the Lancers!"
"Yup. You should've seen me earlier today! Took on a big fire monster! The Rainbow Dragon Duelist Ranger got there first though. Anyway, my boss is interested in you because of your speed and skill and wants you to join up. So you interested Dash? You'd get pretty popular. The whole world would know about you! Heck, we's all get a legion of screaming fans!"
"Sorry G. No deal.", Rainbow said with a shrug. "I've already got a team I'm part of. No way I'm ditching it."
Gilda rolled her eyes. "Still loyal, still stubborn. Never thought I'd ever see you do something so pathetic as go out with a guy."
Rainbow narrowed her eyes. "Keep talkin' Gilda. Just say how pathetic that is ONE. MORE. TIME."
"Sorry Dash. But I'm not as thick-skulled as you. I'm so out." Gilda stormed off.
"Some friend.", Steel said with a frown.
"I don't think that's the right word for her.", Rainbow said with a scowl. "Today's the worst. First Burst and over half the team leave, and now my old friend is my newest enemy." Rainbow sighed. "At least I got you and the others who chose to stay rangers. But I think things are gonna be pretty bumpy from here on in. I hope Burst and the others come back Steel. It feels so lonely without them."
"Yeah." Steel then looked to the sky. "I miss 'em too." 'Why do I have the feeling things are only gonna get worse from here?'

Episode 8: Rangers Return!
The next day, Burst was troubled. Not only about Blitz, but the recent monster attacks as well. In all the time he'd been a ranger, he'd never seen so many portals open up at once. Such an event only occured when the Lancers made their debut. 'When I defeated Tirek and after Sombra and Chrysalis were reformed, there shouldn't have been any portals left to open. Unless....!' Burst then narrowed his eyes. 'Looks like the Lancers might not be the knights everyone thinks they are.' Burst approached Gold as soon as lunch hit. "Gold. We need to get the guys."
"What for?", Gold asked.
"Because I've got the feeling we're going to need all the rangers together for this one. Also, we need to send out a spy drone to observe the Lancers. Their sudden appearance on the scene of the monster attacks doesn't add up. But first, we gotta get back to the command center. I think you know what we'll need from there.", Burst said with a sly smile.
"No problem.", Gold said. Burst gathered the guys and they all warped back to the command center. "We kept the morphers right where you left them. Dad just sent out the spy drone. It's cloaked, so we won't have to worry about being spotted. It just infiltrated Lancer HQ. We've got video and audio...now!" Gold pulled up the drone's feed, and the monitor displayed the inside of Lancer HQ. "I'll try to move towards Blitz's office...." Gold manuevered the drone, and soon picked up on Blitz.
"It's all in place.", Blitz said with a smirk. "Today, a large portal will open up and a fearsome monster will be released. My team will show up to the site and engage, but be no match. Then I'll morph, defeat the monster, and the whole city will be more than willing to name me its hero. Those previous monster releases will pale in comparison to this!"
Burst and the others were horrified! Blitz had been the one who was releasing monsters into the city, and he'd done so just so he could be seen as a hero! "This is crazy! If he's planning on releasing that strong a monster so soon, there's no telling how many people could get hurt!", Inferno said.
"Gold. Recall the drone. I've got the feeling that some reporters would be very interested in seeing this footage.", Burst said with a determined gaze. "The rest of us?" Burst looked at the other guys. "You know what time it is." Each of the rangers got out their morphers.
"IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!" In a flash of light, all the rangers stood in their armor.
"Okay guys. Our main concern is taking down whatever monster Blitz intends to bring through that portal! Let's not pull any punches!" Before the rangers could activate their power ups, Gold approached Burst.
"Here's one last upgrade. Your Absolute mode won't activate at will, but this should be a good substitute." Gold handed Burst a module for his Blue-Eyes morpher. "Trust me. It'll go really well with your Chaos MAX Cannon."
"Thanks Gold. Make sure that footage gets seen." As Gold went off to deliver the footage, the alarm started to blare! "Looks like Blitz is making his move! Let's go!" Burst and the other rangers teleported downtown to where the Lancers were going up against the monster Blitz had unleashed! Burst and the others were shocked to see the beast that Blitz had unleashed! "That's....that's Chaos Emperor Dragon!"
"Blitz unleashed THAT beast?!", Inferno cried. "That thing's been banned from the game for years! If CED uses his effect, everyone's toast!"
"I think Blitz neglected to mention that to his team!", Ace noted! Blitz and the Lancers were still engaging CED with blaster fire and punches and kicks! However, all that did was annoy the beast! Adding to CED's legendary rage! CED tail whipped a Lancer into a wall before lashing out with his claws at any unfortunate to be in front of him!
"YOU PATHETIC WORMS! DID YOU REALLY THINK YOU STOOD A CHANCE AGAINST ME?!", CED bellowed. Blitz got to his feet, and morphed! CED snorted. "So it appears there is a stubborn bug among you."
"This bug's going to squash you!", Blitz roared as he charged at CED! Blitz punched CED full force, but it did nothing! "What?!"
"Heh heh heh! Don't you know that Blue-Eyes has the same basic stats as me? We're equal in strength!" CED threw Blitz off of him! "But I do have ONE edge!" CED began to gather energy at his core, and a dark aura washed over him. "Now I'll show you all why I'm called the Envoy of the End!"
"STEEL!", Burst cried!
"On it!" Steel jumped in front of the Lancers and raised his shield! "Super Soldier Shield!" Steel's shield put up a barrier that shielded the Lancers from the blast of dark energy CED sent out! However, Blitz wasn't so lucky! The damage he took caused him to de-morph!
"How...?", Blitz groaned as he staggered to his feet. "How...was I beaten so easily?"
"Because you overestimated your own strength.", Burst answered as he stood between Blitz and CED. "Good thing I read up on my opponents. Now..." Burst plugged the moduel Gold had given him into his morpher. "Time to fight chaos with chaos!" Burst then pushed a button on the module! "MAXIMUM!" Burst was enveloped in an aura of chaos energy! When the light faded, Burst stood in new armor resembling Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon! "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Ranger!" CED roared and charged at Burst! "A bit testy are we?" Burst grabbed CED by the head and threw him into a pillar! CED broke the pillar on impact! "Wow. This is a pretty sweet new form!" CED growled as he emerged from the rubble. "Looks like you're not going down without a fight!" Burst charged at CED, and leaped into the air before coming down on CED with a powerful kick to the face! "Now to see what new toys I've got!" Burst summoned one of his weapons, and a larger version of the Blue-Eyes Blaster appeared. The most notable thing was that it was designed after Chaos MAX. CED once again recovered, and let out a fearsome roar! Burst fired off a shot fro his new blaster! Just one hit sent CED flying! "Whoa! This thing packs a serious punch!" CED snarled and began to unleash another wave of dark energy! "Steel! Get everyone to safety! NOW!" Steel moved the others out of the way just in time before CED unleashed another wave of dark energy! But whent he dust cleared, Burst was still standing without a scratch! "Looks like this new form's got function to match! Time to put this guy in his place before he wrecks anything else!" Burst activated his suit's wings, and flew into the sky! Burst then channeled into his fist, and dived down right at CED! "CHAOS....BURST......IMPAAAAAAACT!", Burst screamed as his fist crashed into CED! Causing a large explosion! When the smoke cleared, only Burst remained. "Now that's a MAXIMUM VICTORY!"
Blitz frowned. 'No..NO! My victory! My glory! He took it all away!' Blitz then noticed the news crews pulling up. "Ah. No need to worry ladies and gentlemen of the press. The monster's been defeated. It's all under control."
"We know that. The Duelist Rangers took care of the monster. We're here about this." The reporter showed the footage of Blitz's plan, and it was broadcast all over television! "Would you care to explain this?" The other Lancers scowled at Blitz, but Gilda was the most upset out of all of them.
"You.....YOU LIED TO US!", Gilda screamed! "You told us these attacks were random! But you were behind it all?!" Gilda threw her Lancer cap to the ground. "Forget this! I quit!" The other Lancers followed suit and left. Burst and the rangers then made their way over to the press.
"Rangers!" The reporters then rushed up to the rangers. "Anything to say about the scandal involving the leader of the Lancers?", a reporter asked.
"Are you going to start charging for protecting the city?", another asked.
"Was this your last fight?"
Burst held up his hand for silence. "To answer your first question: We've nothing to say on the matter. As for the second one, no. We'd never charge the city we swore to protect. We fight because it's right and the world needs heroes. Lastly, this wasn't our last fight. We'll never leave if you can't pay us, or fight harder just for the sake of a paycheck. We'll always protect the citizens of Canterlot with all we have! Thank you for your time." Burst and the rangers teleported back to the command center and took off their helmets. "Now that we've gone through all that, are there any of you who want to call it quits?"
"You kidding?", Inferno asked. "We've GOTTA stay rangers! Who knows what other kinds of villains like Blitz might come along?"
"The people need us Burst.", Ace added. "Someone's gotta save the day. Might as well be us!"
"You said it yourself Burst.", Gold said with a smile. "We fight for what's right. And the world needs heroes like that!"
"Bring it in everyone." Burst and their others put their hands in. "One...two...three!"
"RANGERS FOREVER!"

Blitz was furious as he returned home. Burst and the rangers had ruined his plans in a single day! "Curse them! Curse them all!"
"Something got you in a bad mood?", Abyss asked.
"My plans...my glory...all of it was ruined today!", Blitz snarled!
"Then maybe it's time for a new approach.", Abyss said with a sly smile. "It's time we truly make good use of the portals I can open. We'll send monsters under our command to attack! And you shall lead them Blitz. But we'll need some capable staff. Narico?"
A guy with grey skin, blue eyes, and a purple scar on his left eye wearing insect-like armor stepped out of the shadows. "You summoned me Lady Abyss?"
"I want you to be my son's second in command while we plan our conquest. Are you up to the task?"
"For you, I'll take any task.", Narico replied. 'I'd endure this and more for you...'
"Excellent. Now to bring out the TRUE power of the morpher I created for you Blitz." Abyss focused an orb of dark energy, and cast it over Blitz's morpher. The dark energy warped and altered the morpher! Instead of the tarnished white, the morpher was now a pitch black with the dragon's teeth being dagger-like. "The rangers won't know what hit them."
Blitz had an evil smile as he activated his new morpher, and looked at his new armor in a mirror. "Burst. It's time you face a TRUE master of Blue-Eyes."
"Now to find a good monster to send in..." Abyss looked through the possible monsters to unleash. "Ah. Perfect. This should give the rangers a nice exhausting fight. The perfect prelude to your introduction."

Episode 10: Destructive Force
The next day went by fairly normal for the rangers. But if their past battles were any indication, it was times like this that a new fight was just around the corner. And as per usual, their instincts were correct. However, they hadn't expected WHERE the next attack would occur! A huge blast rocked the school! Burst and the rangers looked out a window, and saw Gandora the Dragon of Destruction attacking their school! "Blitz. Looks like you've decided to hit us where it hurts!" Gandora unleashed another destructive volley of energy blasts! "We'll have to split up and morph!" Burst and the rangers split up, and morphed! Each of them then went to separate locations to help get students and staff evacuated. Burst made a break for Celestia's office! Fortunately, he found her unharmed. "Good. You're safe."
"Glad you could come to my rescue.", Celestia said with a smile. "I've already given the order to evacuate the school."
"Me and the others are helping people get out now. I'll make another few sweeps and see if there's anyone stuck." Burst ran off into the hallways, and saw smoke coming from the chemistry room. "Not good!" Burst rushed to the door, and kicked it down! When he went inside the room, he saw what looked like a twisted version of his ranger form. It had black armor, tattered wings, and a greyed-out blue visor. Burst then saw three boys trapped by a wall of flames. From the looks of things, they were more scared of Burst than the fire. "Easy..." Burst removed his helmet and smiled. "See? Just a regular guy. Come on. Let's get out of here before we're roasted." Burst stepped through the flames and left the room with the CMCB in tow. "Hold tight!" Burst flew towards the exit, and re-attached his helmet. As soon as he set the CMCB down, Burst contacted the other rangers. "Guys? How's the evacuation going?"
"We're almost finished!", Inferno replied. "The girls are helping out, but something's gotta be done about that dragon!"
"I'll hold it off. Blue-Eyes Zord!" Burst summoned his duel zord, and engaged Gandora! "You made a BIG mistake pal! You tried to waste my school!" Blue-Eyes Zord fired a powerful laser from its mouth! Striking Gandora full force! "Now you're learning a painful lesson." Burst then piloted his zord to ram into Gandora! Knocking the dragon of destruction to the ground! "White Lightning Cannon! Full Power!" Burst charged up the cannon in his zord's mouth! Firing a concentrated blast of energy! Destroying Gandora with a massive explosion! "That shoud do-" Burst was knocked aside by something! "What the-?" Burst looked to his right, and saw what looked like an evil version of his zord! "I think I know who's piloting that thing. Let's go Blue-Eyes!" Burst charged with his zord and grappled with the dark twin that hovered in the sky! Both zords were evenly matched! Burst had enough at this point, and opened a communication channel to the other zord. "I know you're in there Blitz! What's your game?"
Blitz chuckled from the inside of his dark zord. "Well, well. Aren't you clever? Isn't it obvious? I came to take you down!" Blitz rammed his zord into Burst's! Causing both zords to crash on the ground! Burst and Blitz made it in one piece, and engaged in combat after breaking free of their respective zord's cockpits. "Much better. Now I can truly make you pay!" Blitz charged at Burst and took a swing at him! Burst dodged and countered with a punch of his own! Blitz caught Burst's fist with his hand, and threw him into the air! Burst used the wings of his armor to recover and delivered a powerful kick to Blitz's stomach! Blitz was winded but charged at Burst while he was in pain! Burst rolled out of the way and pulled off a series of punches before finishing his combo with a kick to Blitz's face! While Blitz was still reeling, Burst charged his fist full of energy and executed a devastating uppercut! Knocking Blitz to the ground! As Blitz lay on his back, he began to laugh. "Heh. Heh heh heh! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"
"What's so funny?"
"This new armor rewards my pain...BY UNLEASHING DEVASTATING FURY!" Blitz stood up and an aura of darkness exploded around him! Blitz then chraged at Burst who struggled to block against the onslaught of blows! But the frequency of Blitz's punches proved to much for Burst to handle, and his defenses crumbled! The other rangers had arrived on the scene, but they were to late! Blitz sneered under his helmet as he threw Burst into the air and fired a massive energy blast! A huge explosion took up the air, and Burst fell to the ground seriously hurt and de-morphed!
"BURST!", Moon and the other rangers rushed to Burst's side.
"This is your first and only warning.", Blitz said with a smirk under his helmet. "Lock away your morphers and melt down your zords. There's a new ranger in town. And I will spare any in my way no mercy!" Blitz then vanished in a swirl of darkness. Leaving the rangers to contemplate thier uncertain. Celestia noticed the rangers huddled around Burst and helped Moon stand him up.
"Let's get him to the command center." Celestia said with a worried look on her face. "Burst. Hang on. Please."

Burst heard voices as the fog in his mind cleared. When he opened his eyes, he saw Celestia and Moon waiting on either side of him. "Nnnnggghhh. How long was I out?"
"You're lucky you're even waking up.", Celestia said with a sigh of relief as she and Moon hugged Burst lightly.
"Whatever power Blitz has now, it's seriously dangerous. Especially since he was able to damage you that much.", Moon noted.
"...Then why am I still lying arou-AGH!" Burst felt a sharp pain as he tried to get up.
"Easy there Burst. Blitz really let you have it.", Gold cautioned. "He didn't let up until he saw us arrive when he was through with you."
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say that scum enjoyed making you hurt.", Inferno growled.
"The scariest thing is, you're probably right Inferno.", Sunset added. "I could feel his emotions surging like that pitch black aura around him. He enjoyed cuasing us fear by beating up Burst so badly."
"Even when I was at my worst...I'd never be that cruel.", Moon shivered.
"Then why're we still just lazing about?", Burst asked. "We've gotta put a stop to him!"
"Darling. I admire your committment, but be reasonable! He gave you quite a sound thrashing and you're still recovering!", Rarity stated.
"i know I can be reckless, but this is crazy!", Rainbow Dash protested.
"Burst, have you lost it?!", Steel argued. "Blitz tore you apart out there!"
"DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!", Ice screamed.
"In more calm terms: Don't do something stupid like challenging Blitz alone.", Ace stated.
"But guys. As long as he's out there...no one's safe. He's got a zord and stronger ranger powers.", Burst said sadly. "And as long as he's got them, the whole city's at his mercy. There's no telling what demands he'll have just to get the city under his rule. And he probably won't stop there. That's why I've gotta get up and..." Burst tried to get out of his bed, but Celestia and Moon stopped him. Both of them having teary looks in their eyes.
"Burst. Please. ", Celestia begged. "You've fought hard already. You need to rest. I..no. ALL of us wouldn't know what to do if we lost you right now."
"I was alone for so long. And you fixed that Burst." Tears were now falling from Moon's eyes as she pleaded. "I don't want to see you go now. I don't want to lose you so soon after I found you!" Moon then fell to her knees. "I can't bare to lose the one good thing to come from my mistakes...." Celestia helped Moon get toher feet.
Burst sighed. "You're right. It wouldn't be fair to any of you. I can't imagine life without my sunshine, or my sweet dream either."
"Don't worry Burst. We're gonna finish this.", Shadow said with a nod.
"All of you. Please. Come back safe.", Burst said with a small smile. The other rangers nodded as they helped Burst get home. As he lay in his bed, Burst's mind was troubled. 'Why Blitz? Why are you doing this? What do you have to gain?'

Blitz sneered. He'd taken down the strongest fighter among the rangers. However, he noticed Narico glaring at him. "What's eating you insect? You should be happy. We've dealt the rangers a decisive blow."
"It was not through honorable means.", Narico scowled. "You ambushed Burst while he was busy fighting. In my eyes, that is no victory. It's a disgrace."
"Why do you care? We're the badguys. Who said we play fair?" Blitz left, and Narico went off to Abyss.
"Lady Abyss?"
Abyss turned to face Narico. "Oh. Narico. Is something wrong?"
"It concerns your son. He had Gandora attack the school the rangers attend. Burst was able to beat the monster, but Blitz ambushed him. I must ask...why? Why are we even doing this?"
Abyss sighed. "My son's desire was to be a hero. So, I decided to help support his desire the best way I knew how. The Lancers helped Blitz realize that if only for the briefest time. And now with our conquest, Blitz will "defeat" us and be hailed as the hero. I love my son, and just want him to realize his desire."
Narico sighed. "I can respect the care you have for your son. But I'm worried he's unstable. When he ambushed Burst...he nearly KILLED him." Abyss froze. "Who's to say he won't actually destroy you when he "defeats" you?"
"You show great devotion Narico.", Abyss said with a small smile. "You'll make a girl quite happy one day."
"I only wish for your happiness and safety Lady Abyss. I BEG you. Put an end to this madness before things get worse!", Narico pleaded. "I...I cannot picture myself without you." Abyss stood up and approached Narico. "My lady?"
"You care for me greatly. Don't you?", Abyss asked.
"More than my life.", Narico said with a steeled gaze.
"Is it simply the devotion of a servant, or more?"
"I...I can't answer because the reply I have is unworthy.", Narico said with an ashamed tone. "I am nothing."
"A pity.", Abyss said with a sad smile. "The kind of man I've been looking for has been under my nose the whole time."
Narico blushed! "You..you knew?!"
"Did you think you were being discreet? For a changeling, you're horrible at keeping things hidden.", Abyss said with a light chuckle. "Maybe you're right about Blitz. But I'm not worried. You'll protect me, won't you? If we do bite it, we'll have the afterlife together won't we?"
"I...thank you my lady. Farewell." As he exited Abyss's room, Narico's thoughts were elsewhere. Abyss. You're right. I WILL protect you. Narico's thoughts then turned to the rangers. Which is why I hope you can forgive me for what I have in mind. As Narico retired to his quarters, he noticed a form on his bed. "Fang. I know you're there."
"Aw man. And I was gonna pounce on you!", Fang pouted as his wolf ears folded.
"You can't hide as easy now that you're grown.", Narico said with a chuckle. "Shouldn't you be at school next week? I've heard the girls of CHS are pretty cute."
"C'mon bro! It's not like I'm gonna meet the love of my life!", Fang groaned. "Especially since I've gotta keep my ears and tail hidden."
"Well, you never know.", Narico said with a smile. "Maybe you'll find a girl who likes you no matter what."
"Yeah. Maybe. I'm off to my bed G'night." And with that, Fang left.
Narico sighed as he lay on his bed in solitude. "I hope Abyss can forgive me for this stupid idea..."

Episode 13: Not so lonely anymore
Fang sighed as he began his first day of CHS. "Well, might as well give this place a shot. But first..." Fang pulled his hood over his head and hid his tail. "Wouldn't want to get dissected in the science lab." Fang then made his way inside, and got a feel for the place. He then noticed a girl of interest. Huh. She looks so upset. Might as well see if I can fix that... Fang walked over to Aria. "Something up?"
Aria snapped her attention to Fang and her eyes widened. "No."
"You're lonely, aren't you?", Fang asked with a blink.
Aria was stunned. True. She was quite lonely since Adagio and Sonata had boyfriends to occupy their time. But her? She had nobody. "Well..." Aria sighed. "Look. My sisters have boyfriends. It's pretty easy to see why since Sonata is cute and lovable and Adagio is gorgeous. Me? Half the guys at this school are afraid to even ask me out because they think I'll beat the snot out of them!" Aria then took a moment to catch her breath. "So yeah. I'm kinda lonely."
"Maybe I can fix that?"
"Pfft! Really? How?"
"Don't say I didn't warn you..." Fang whipped out the puppy dog eyes. Aria's heart melted. "Wow. Record time to. I knew I'd get you to smile!"
"Okay. You win.", Aria said with a smirk. "So what're you called anyway?"
"Fang!", Fang said happily.
Aria chuckled as she scratched one of Fang's ears that was under his hoodie. "Good boy. I'm Aria. Aria Blaze.", Aria said with a smile.
"Fitting. You do have a fiery look in your eyes.", Fang beamed.
Aria blushed. "Oh. Um...thanks! So, are you new here? A lot of the students are colorful in the literal sense, but I've never seen anyone like you before."
"It's my first day. Care to help me find my way around?"
"Wouldn't want you going around like a lost puppy.", Aria said with a chuckle.
You have NO idea how on-the-mark that was. , Fang thought with a smile. "I'm not lost if I've got you guiding me."
Aria couldn't help but smile. "Anymore out of you, and my heart's gonna melt." The day went on, and lunch period soon arrived. Aria was sitting at her sisters' usual table. But today, she had an unexpected visitor.
"Hi!", Fang greeted.
"Oh. Hey Fang. Here to keep me company again?", Aria asked with a small smile.
"Uh huh!", Fang said happily as he dug into the plate of ribs he'd gotten for lunch. Aria giggled at the sight. "Something funny?"
"Sorry. It's just...you act like a wolf cub.", Aria said sweetly. "Kinda makes sense that's how you were able to make thos puppy-dog eyes."
"My parents always did say I was adorable.", Fang said with a small smile. "Plus, I like to make people smile."
"You're pretty good.", Aria said with a smile. "I can't remember the last time I smiled." Aria was then surprised when Fang hugged her.
"Well. Now you can remember a time. This moment. Even if it is only once. But, hey. At least you can look back on ONE happy moment."
"Huh. That's pretty deep.", Aria stated. "Maybe this world's not so bad after all."
"This world?", Fang asked.
"Let's just say that my family and I didn't have the nicest start here. But, I guess things are getting better.", Aria said with a shrug. "We've got more friends now, and I've still got my sisters."
Fang smiled. "As long as you've got family, that's all that really matters. Right?" Fang then thought of when his parents adopted Narico. "You've only got one in the whole world. With them, you're never alone."
Aria smiled as she pulled Fang into a tight hug. "...Thanks Fang. You're a good boy."
Fang smiled. "No problem Aria. No problem at all." The two then parted from their embrace. "Just think of me if you need to smile."
"I'll...keep that in mind.", Aria said with a slight blush. As the school day soon came to an end, Aria smiled on her way home. Heh. Fang was right. I should smile more. It feels a lot easier than scowling so much...

After school ended, the rangers headed to Burst's house. Burst smiled as he opened the door and saw his friends. "Hey everyone! How're things going so far?"
"Well, there's been no attack from Blitz yet.", Inferno answered. "But that could change any minute. Also, how're you recovering?"
"I was able to go to school, so I'm improving."
"Hey. That begs a question. Don't you two have that 'Absolute' mode?", Rainbow Dash asked. "Can't you whip that out and kick Blitz's butt?"
Burst shook his head. "Sorry Rainbow. But that kind of power is drawn out when things are at their worst. As it stands, all of you could beat Blitz even without me. Don't forget, you've still got your own upgrades to use. That, and his single zord can't form a Megazord. So I'd say we've still got a decent advantage."
Gold was about to say something when he got an alert from his morpher. "Sorry to cut the visit short, but we gotta get to the command center."
"I'll stay with Burst.", Moon said with a smile. "Someone's gotta play nurse to make sure he heals."
"We'll call in if we need you.", Gold said with a nod as he and the others teleported to the command center. "Dad? What's going on?"
"It appears we have a visitor.", Pegasus said as he motioned to two figures waiting outside the command center.
"Might as well see what they want. Send them in."
Narico and Fang entered the command center. "Duelist Rangers. I come bearing information that is crucial.", Narico said. "I am Narico. Servant of Abyss. Blitz Surge's mother."
"So are you here to get us to surrender?", Rainbow Dash growled.
"No. I am here to plead for your help. Abyss created the morpher Blitz uses, but she did so that he could pursue his desire to be a hero. She planned on us for to attack and be defeated by Blitz. So he could be hailed as a hero. But with this new power, Blitz is unstable.And I fear for my lady's life. I beg you! Please stop Blitz! Give me some form of power to defeat him! It's my destiny to protect Abyss with my life!"
"NO!" The whole group was stunned to see Fang tearing up. "Bro...don't do this! This doesn't have to be your destiny!"
Narico put a hand on Fang's shoulder and gave him a small smile. "Fang. You and your family were great for taking me in. But it's my turn to repay that kindness. You were a good little brother while it lasted."
"No! I'm not letting you do this alone!", Fang cried.
"Indeed he won't be.", Pegasus said as he opened a small case and handed a morpher to Fang. "You'll be fighting with him. Destiny End Ranger." Pegasus then turned to Narico. "As for you, I can't make you a ranger. But I do have powers to give you. It's something new, but it should work like the morphers." Pegasus took a small wrist device and handed it to Narico. "This device will transform you into Joker the Mage Knight. All you need to do is insert this Arcana Memory stick into the port on the device to transform."
"I owe you a debt I can't repay.", Narico said with a bow as the alram began to go off!
"We'll take you showing off what you can do with these new powers.", Steel said. "Blitz is attacking the city!"
"He went too far in attacking your school. Now he's endangering innocents?!", Narico growled! "Time to teach him a lesson." The rangers and their new allies teleported to downtown where Blitz was attacking. "BLITZ!"
Blitz turned and sneered under his helmet. "Ah. So you've decided to betray my mother have you servant?"
"I'd only be betraying Abysss if I were to let you roam free!", Narico spat! "HENSHIN!" Narico activated the Arcana Memory and inserted it into his device! In a flash of light, a figure clad in black and gold armor with a purple visor and cape stood! "I am Arcana! The Mage Knight!" Narico then drew the sword at his side! "The warrior of honor and magic! And in the name of Abyss, I swear to see you defeated!"
"You're not going in there alone! Our pack sticks together!", Fang said. "IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!" In a flash of light, Fang morphed into the Destiny End Ranger! Fang's armor was modeled after Destiny End Dragoon! Complete with a wrist-mounted blade on his right arm and a plasma cannon modeled like a dragon's head on his left arm! "Time to meet your destiny's end Blitz!" The other rangers morphed and charged at Blitz! Fang fired a shot of plasma from his cannon and swung at Blitz with his blade! But Blitz caught the blade and threw Narico at the other rangers!
"I got you!", Veenus said as he caught Fang in the air. "Time to test out your armor's wings!"
Fang flapped the wings of his armor and was soon flying! "Let's give the others some air support!" Veenus tied up Blitz with his whip while Narico dive-bombed Blitz with his wrist blade! The other rangers used this chance to get in hits with their melee weapons! The rangers kept going at it until Blitz fell to his knees!
"Time to end this! RAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Narioc charged at Blitz with his sword poised for the final blow. But as Narico got closer, Blitz got to his knees and unleashed a scream of primal rage and pain!
"AAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHH!" Blitz unleashed a massive wave of darkness that knocked the rangers unconscious and de-morphed them! Satisfied that they were defeated, Blitz opened a portal and limped off into it. "POWER. Need....more power...."
"Nggghhh!", Sunset groaned as she and the others recovered. "What was THAT?!"
"Blitz's dark power reward him with destructive force for all the pain he's dealt.", Narico answered. "In other words: The more he hurts, the more pain he can inflict on us. But this ability is a double-edged sword. Not only does he need to take a lot of damage, but it also exhausts him greatly unleashing so much power. And with how close we were to beating him, he's pretty tapped out."
Fang took off his hoodie and revealed his wolf ears and tail, and tilted his head. "So...did I do good in my first fight?"
The rangers couldn't help but give a small laugh at how adorable Fang acted. "You did good Fang.", Gold said with a small smile. "This was just one fight. The battle's not over yet."
"Thanks!", Fang said with a wag of his tail. "Whoops! Gotta go! Ari's waiting for me!" Fang dashed off to Sugarcube Corner and found Aria waiting outside for him. "Sorry I'm late! I was busy!"
"Fighting that evil Duelist Ranger? Also, the wolf ears and tail explain how you're so good at puppy dog eyes.", Aria said with a smirk.
Fang blushed! "How...how'd you know?"
"You wore a hoodie with Destiny End Dragoon and just NOW a new ranger shows up with armor modeled after the same monster?", Aria asked with a smile. "It's not that hard to put together. Plus, I like your ears. They're...cute."
Fang smiled and wagged his tail. "You can scratch 'em if ya want!" Aria all too happily obliged.
"Fluttershy's gonna love you. C'mon boy.", Aria said playfully as she lead Fang inside. "We'll just say the ears and tail are part of cosplay."

Blitz stumbled as he approached his mother's room. Inside, Abyss was watching the fight that had just ended. She was starteld to see Blitz staring at her. "Blitz...come. Let's get you fixed up." Abyss reached out to Blitz, and he swatted away her hand! "Blitz...please. You need to heal!"
"No. You're wrong! I need more power!", Blitz snarled! "Give me more of your dark power! Give me the strength to destroy all in my path!"
"Blitz. Stop. You can't handle that much power. It could destroy you! You're my son. My flesh and blood. Don't you understand? I don't want to lose you.", Abyss said sadly.
"I understand. If you won't give me what I want...I'LL TAKE IT!" Blitz reached inside of Abyss and began to siphon her power! "How can you lose me when you never had me to begin with?! All you are is a stepping stone for me to pursue my desires! YOU taught me that!" Abyss gasped for air, and Blitz sneered. "Thank you." Blitz took his hand out of Abyss's core and opened a portal.
Abyss slowly got to her feet and cradled her chest. "...A monster." Abyss then began to cry. "I made my son into a monster."

Finale Part 1: Darkness of Despair
It seemed like an ordinary day at CHS. The rangers were going about their day, and lunch period had just arrived. Things had been quite after the big battle yesterday, but that was always subject to change as long as Blitz was still on the loose. Not to mention the fact that Burst was still in recovery. "Man. This sucks!", Inferno groaned as he looked to Burst. "If you'd been in that fight, we could've ended it yesterday!" Inferno sighed. "But that's past."
"We should focus on when Blitz's next attack's going to be.", Sunset stated.
"Right." Gold nodded. "Let's not forget that he teleported off to who knows where after yesterday."
"I can answer that.", Fang said sadly. "He stole his mother's power to increase his own. Mix that with how insanely unstable he is, and we've got ourselve a Grade-A menace to deal with. Who knows how strong he is now." The whole group hung their heads with the exception of Burst.
"Hey now! No need for that!", Burst said with a frown. "Maybe you're forgetting, but this isn't the first time our backs have been against the wall. Sombra being corrupted. Tirek. Each threat was more dangerous than the last. But everytime we pulled through. Why? Because we're friends...no. We're a family. And that means we face everything together. This time will be no different."
"I think we all needed that little reminder.", Celestia said with a smile as she walked over. "Excellent speech Burst. You really know how to channel your inner Optimus Prime."
"Oh..." Burst blushed. "Thanks." The rangers shared a laugh at Burst's moment with Celestia until the alert sounded on their morphers.
"Looks like it's go time.", Ace said as he and the rangers left to head for the source of the alert. They morphed and teleported into the city. Blitz was on the attack, and had transformed from when they had last saw him! "Is...is that Blitz?!"
"He looks more like a monster than a ranger.", Shadow noted.
"And he's got a temper to match! Hit the deck!", Ice shouted as Blitz hurled a car at them! The rangers hit the ground to avoid getting sent flying!
"It appears you're one head short.", Blitz scoffed. "No matter. I know how to keep you entertained." Blitz focused his dark power and shot out eleven beams of darkness! Each beam condensed into a dark version of each of the rangers!
"So that's how you're gonna keep us busy? With cheap copies?", Rainbow Dash boasted as she kicked her doppleganger! But the replica caught her foot! "What the heck?!" Rainbow was then sent flying by her clone!
"They're not copies. Rather, they're superior versions of you. Much like how I'm superior to Burst. This brings me to my offer. Surrender now, and make ME your leader. Refuse, and I'll let my new friends have some 'playtime' with you.", Blitz said with a sneer.
"No deal creep!", Steel spat! "There's no way you're better than Burst!"
"We'd never follow someone who fights only for glory. That's not what we stand for!", Moon said defiantly.
"We fight for what's right and to protect those who can't fight for themselves!", Sunset added!
"And that'w why we follow Burst! Because that's what he lives for! What he dreams of!", Celestia cried out!
"AND IT'S BECAUSE OF HIM WE HAVE THE WILL TO STAND AGAINST YOU!", all the rangers screamed!
"Very well FOOLS.", Blitz said with a scowl. "You've sealed your fate." Blitz snapped his fingers. "Dark Rangers. Destroy them."
The rangers charged at their dark counterparts! Both sides matched each other blow for blow! However, the Dark Ranges hit a lot harder than their Duelist counterparts! And they were a lot more vicious to boot!
"How are these things so strong?!", Rarity asked as she evaded her dark clone's blade!
"You got me!", Inferno shouted as he blocked a punch from his dark clone only to get kicked in the stomach and punched in the face so hard his helmet broke! "AGH!"
"INFERNO!" Rarity ran to his side, but was slashed in the back by her dark clone and her helmet was kicked off! Rarity and Inferno managed to get to their feet, but were cornered by their dark clones. "Darling?"
"Yeah?" Inferno was surprised when Rarity kissed him.
"I'm glad we're together. Even in thie dire moment."
"...Me too Rarity." Inferno and Rarity readied their weapons as their dark clones advanced.
Meanwhile, Sunset and Gold weren't faring much better! Sunset's armor was pretty badly damaged while Gold's helmet was broken from a powerful punch from his dark clone! "They don't let up!", Gold groaned as he used his sword to block a swing from his dark clone!
"They're just as ruthless as Blitz!", Sunset noted as she raised her shield to protect herself from her dark clone's blade! Sunset and Gold were then forced back-to-back with their clones on either side. "Not good..."
At the same time, Rainbow Dash and Steel were getting clobbered by their clones! "UGH! They just too fast!", Rainbow groaned as she tried to land a hit on her clone only to get kneed in the stomach!
"They hit WAY harder too!" Steel raised his shield to block the blade of his dark clone! But the impact was so strong that it shattered the shiled and Steel's dark clone bashed his helmet with its own shiled! Breaking the helmet and knocking Steel to the ground! Rainbow took to the air, but was grounded when her clone followed and kicked her in the head! Breaking her helmet as sht plummeted! Steel caught her, but their clones had them cornered. "Well, at least we're going out awesome."
"I won't lie Steel. This way of going out is probably twenty percent cooler than any way I'd dream up.", Rainbow Dash said with a weak smile.
Meanwhile, Ace, Ice, and Shadow weren't faring much better against their clones! The three brothers' armor was damaged pretty badly, and their helmets all but destroyed. "No matter what. We stand together. Right guys?", Ice asked weakly.
"Y-Yeah...", Ace said with a weak smile as he got to his feet.
"No matter what...", Shadow groaned as he readied his spear for his possible last stand.
Celestia and Moon were having an equally hard time fighting their clones as well. Celestia's clone blinded Moon with a flash of light, and unleashed a series of hits on her! Breaking her helmet and hurting her pretty badly! Moon's clone on the other hand launched a relentless barrage of blasts at Celestia! Badly damaging her armor and knocking her helmet loose! "Celestia? Can you stand?", Moon asked weakly as their clones advanced upon them.
"Depends...", Celestia said with strain in her voice. "Can you hold your sword?" Moon grasped her saber once again, and Celestia readied her own blade. "Looks like we'll have to break our promise to Burst."
Fang in the meantime was beaten up pretty bad by his clone! Fang's clone was savage, and nearly tore his armor to pieces! All the damaged rangers were backed against a wall as the dark clones Blitz created faced them.
"Well, well, well. I bet you're reconsidering my offer now?", Blitz said with a smirk.
"Not a chance in Tartarus.", Moon said with a smirk of her own.
"A pity." Blitz was about to command his clone rangers to finish off the originals when he saw a lone figure approaching the battlefield.
"You guys have done enough." Burst stepped forth with a confident smile. "I'll take care of these posers from here." Busrt kept his hand near his morpher, and got into a stance! The final battle was about to begin!

Finale Part 2: Light of Hope
Burst and Blitz stayed where they were, and stared each other down. Burst's eyes full of confidence while Blitz's were filled with rage. "I thought I had taught you a lesson."
"No. All you did was give me a reason to fight harder.", Burst said defiantly. "You've done a pretty bad number on my friends. But when things are darkest, that's when the light shines the brightest! IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" Burst activated his morpher! In a column of light, Burst transformed into his ranger form! But unlike his standard form, this armor was platinum! "BLUE-EYES ABSOLUTE RANGER!" Burst then dashed over to the ranger clones and engaged them all at once! Blocking every strike! Burst then unleashed a wave of energy! Destroying the clones on contact! Burst then turned to face Blitz. "This fight's between me and you Blitz! Let's finish this!"
"So you accept your doom. WELCOME TO OBLIVION!" The two charged at each other, and grappled! At first it looked as if they were evenly matched. But the tide soon turned as Burst pushed hard! Blitz fell to one knee! "How...how did you get such power?!"
"Dad helped me wake up.", Burst said with a smile under his helmet as he kicked Blitz into a pillar! Leaving a crater upon impact! Burst then rushed up to Blitz and pulled off a flurry of punches as Blitz was stuck in the crater! Blitz tried to shield himself in vain, but Burst didn't let up for a second! Burst then charged his fist full of energy for one final blow! " ABSOLUTE IMPACT!" Burst rammed his fist into Blitz's stomach! Causing him to wheeze as he fell onto the ground. Burst then nodded and walked over to his friends. "Sorry I'm late to the party!"
"You sure know how to make an entrance man.", Inferno chuckled.
"Um, Burst? I don't think the fight's over yet.", Moon noted.
"Huh. Looks like Blitz still has a few words left for me." Burst walked over to Blitz. "You wanted to be a hero. You don't know the meaning of the word. Especially with all the things you've done."
"What're you talking about?! I saved people! I had glory and fourtune! HOW AMI NOT A HERO?!", Blitz screamed.
"That's EXACTLY why you aren't one. You fought only for glory and fame. True heroes stand for what's right no matter how alone they are in the end. They take a stand when others won't and don't give up until they can't fight anymore! All you did was make mistakes so you could fix them. I feel sorry for you Blitz."
"SPARE ME YOUR PITY! I'LL PROVE I'M BETTER BY DESTROYING YOU!"
"Then come and get me." Burst took to the air, and Blitz followed like a mad beast! The two of them came to blows in the air! Each one a blur of speed and power! Blitz struck wildly at Burst! Each of his blows carrying an undeniable fury! Once could even see him startign to foam at the mouth! However, his fury made him blind as Burst dodged each one of his attacks effortlessly before firing a blast of energy! "WHITE LIGHTNING!" Blitz was sent flying across the sky, but soon recovered and made a charge towards Burst with a savage cry!
"RRRAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHHHHH!", Blitz roared as he charged! However, as he got close, Burst punched him in the face! Blitz hovered while he was reeling in pain from Burst's punch! "AAUUGGGHHH! CURSE YOU! HOW ARE YOU MORE POWERFUL THAN ME?!"
"Simple. I fight for people besides myself. My friends. My family. They're the reason I even strapped on this morpher to begin with. Whenever things get tough, I just remember everyone. Then I stand tall once again. Because their hope gives me strength!" A pure white aura then flowed over Burst as he began another assualt on Blitz!
"Grrrr!" Blitz unleashed a massive blast of darkness thanks to the damage he'd taken! But when the smoke cleared, Burst didn't have a scratch on him! "Impossible.......IMPOSSIBLE!"
"You might wanna rethink that."
"RRRRRAAAAHHHHH!", Blitz roared as he summoned a blade made of pure darkness and charged at Burst! But Burst blocked it with a blade made of pure blue light! Burst then slashed off one of Blitz's wings, and kicked him in the stomach before punching Blitz in the face! Sending him plummeting down to the ground and making a crater on impact! Burst soon landed and removed his helmet!
"Everyone! With me! NOW!" The other rangers gathered behind Burst. "Now. Channel your power into me." The other rangers channeled their power into Burst as he drew his new blaster. "That's enough. Thank you all." Burst then saw Blitz slowly rising from the crater. "Time to finish this!" Blitz snarled before charged at Burst as Burst began to charge his blaster. Burst took a deep breath, and saw that the charge was at maximum! "ABSOLUTE DRAGON MAGNUM!" A rainbow-colored energy projection of Blue-Eyes shot out as Burst released the trigger! Blitz froze and tried to shield himself! But it was no use! Blitz screamed as his body and soul crumbled away into nothing! When the light died down, there was nothing left of Blitz! "The dragon's been rocked!" Burst and the rangers cheered in celebration of their victory!
"GO GO DUELIST RANGERS!"

The rangers teleported, and de-morphed as they returned to CHS. "I think Pinkie's got quite the party planned for us after today.", Burst said with a smile.
Abyss's House...
Narico had just seen the rangers win. "Looks like I've got a promise to keep.", Abyss said with a flirty smile. Narico turned to see Abyss dressed in jeans and a shirt. "Well? Are you going to keep me waiting?"
"Never my lady." Narico took Abyss by the hand, and led her on their date.
Later that night...
Burst and the rangers were at Sugar Cube Corner celebrating their final victory. Inferno then noticed the whole city was celebrating on the TV. "Huh. I guess the whole city's partying."
"I think it's about to get better.", Gold said. "Look outside." The rangers headed outside, and saw that a series of fireworks were going off! They spelled out a single message: THANK YOU DUELIST RANGERS!
Burst smiled before turning his attention to Celestia and Moon, and shared a kiss. "Now THIS is a happy ending." The rangers continued to watch the fireworks as the party went on.

Canterlot, Night....
Sombra and Chrysalis had just finished up their date and were headed home. "Today was perfect.", Chrysalis said with a blissful smile. "Sometimes I can't believe this moment almost never happened."
"We've got the rangers to thank for that.", Sombra answered with a chuckle. Sombra was about to continue, but he sensed something. "Chrysalis. I don't think we're alone." An armored figure stepped out of the shadows in front of Sombra and Chrysalis.
"Burst?", Chrysalis asked. "I didn't think you and the rangers patrolled the city at night. Don't you have school?"
Sombra's eyes narrowed as he sensed the energy coming from this being. "Chrysalis. RUN. Run now."
"Sombra? What're you-?"
"Chryssi. That's NOT Burst." Sombra fired up his magic. "Go. NOW!" The false ranger charged at Sombra as Chrysalis ran! Sombra blocked the punch that was aimed at his head! "I don't know who you are, but why're you attacking us?!"
"Creatures like you don't deserve any answers.", the false ranger answered coldly. "Prepare to meet oblivion!" The false ranger sent Sombra flying with a powerful punch! Sombra recovered and blasted the false ranger into a wall. The false ranger just stepped out of the imprint he left and dusted himself off. "Hmph. I expected better from a villain like you."
"I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe Chrysalis and I were villains once. But now we've been living a normal life. And then you come along and attack us. And you do so wearing the guise of one of the Duelist Rangers. I don't know what makes you think they'd conduct such behavior, but you disgrace them by even imitating their appearance!" Sombra fired another blast of magic, but it barel had any effect on the false ranger! "What...what are you?" The false ranger rushed up to Sombra and grabbed him by the throat!
"What am I? I'm the hero the Duelist Rangers don't have the guts to be.", the false ranger answered with what Sombra assumed was a sneer under his helmet. The false ranger then punched Sombra in the stomach before releasing him! "How disappointing. I guess I'll just have to wait until a new foe comes along to prove myself as a hero. Have a nice night." The false ranger activated his suit's wings and flew off! As Sombra slowly got to his feet, Chrysalis rushed up to him!
"Sombra!" Chrysalis helped Sombra walk as they headed home. "Are you hurt badly?"
"Just my stomach. And my pride....", Sombra joked.
"Why would that guy attack us? He's a Duelist Ranger like Burst and the others!"
"No. He's no ranger.", Sombra said flatly before scowling in the direction the false ranger had flown off in. "And he's no hero either. We'd better alert the real rangers tomorrow. Right now? I think I'd better focus on recovering."
The next morning...
Burst woke up with a yawn as he stretched his body. "Ah, Saturday. First time I've been able to actually enjoy it for a long while." Burst got changed and ready before going downstairs for breakfast. Moon was waiting for him as he sat down with her. "Morning beautiful."
"Nice to see you're awake.", Moon said with a smile. "Nice to finally have a break from all the excitement, isn't it?"
Burst nodded. "Yeah. No more monsters sent for us to fight on an almost weekly basis, and no crazy villains to deal with as of yet. Thing's have been pretty quiet. I've also got more freetime to spend with you and Celestia. Speaking of which, did the two of you want to do anything today?"
"I was thinking something simple like just having a lunch date.", Moon beamed.
"Sounds perfect. After all, I'm pretty sure that us fighting monsters and forming the Megazord doesn't count as a real date.", Burst joked. "Just gotta text Celestia." Burst pulled out his phone and turned it on, he noticed that he had a new text message. "Huh. From Chrysalis and Sombra." Burst opened up the text, and his eyes went wide. "Change of plans Moon. We're headed off to meet with Sombra and Chrysalis."
"What? Why?"
"This is why." Burst showed Moon the text, and her eyes went wide! "Yeah. It's pretty serious. I'll text the others to come to. Whoever did this, they sure didn't mind attacking them while their guard was down." Burst and Moon left, and soon met with the others to talk to Chrysalis and Sombra. "It was last night that you two were attacked. Right?"
Sombra nodded. "I got banged up pretty bad, but I'll live. But the scariest part is WHO our attacker was. Burst...he looked like a Duelist Ranger. Even more disturbing is the fact that the armor he wore looked almost exactly like yours. But whoever it was under that armor, it wasn't you."
"What do you mean?"
"I read the person's energy. Your energy has an aura of light. But this attacker? He was radiating darkness."
"How'd you manage to beat him?", Moon asked.
"He didn't.", Chrysalis said gravely. "After he trashed Sombra, he flew off. Saying something about finding a worthy foe to slay and prove himself as a hero. Hmph. I'd hate to see what he considers a villain if these are 'heroic actions' in that creep's eyes."
"Gold?", Burst asked. "Can you get in touch with your dad? We need to know if any morphers have gone missing."
"I'm on it Burst." Gold called up his dad to check if any morphers were stolen or missing. Meanwhile, Burst and the others continued questioning Sombra and Chrysalis.
"Was there anything else different about this 'false ranger'?", Inferno asked.
"Actually, yes. The color of his armor was darker than Burst's. One could say it reflected the feeling I got from him.", Sombra said.
Gold had hung up his phone. "Guys. There's no morphers missing. And the newest ones my dad was working on are still in development."
"But how could this guy have a morpher?", Rainbow Dash asked.
"I don't know, and neither does my dad.", Gold said with sigh.
"Well whoever this guy is, he sounds like bad news.", Inferno stated. "He might try to give us a bad name."
"Let's be honest. We don't know anything except for the fact he targeted Chrysalis and Sombra. But the only reason he'd attack them is if he knew they were once villains before hand. Whoever this guy is, we can't let him run free. We'll just have to wait until he makes his next move. Until then, I say we try to enjoy what time we've got left for the day." Burst then turned to Sombra and Chrysalis. "In the meantime, you two feel free to stay at the command center if you need any extra security."
"Sounds like overkill. But thanks for the offer.", Chrysalis said as she helped Sombra walk back home.
Burst sighed. "So much for things going back to normal..."

Episode 2: Black Rose Dragon Blooms
Adagio sighed as she walked the halls. Namely because she saw Sonta and Ace bing all lovey-dovey. "Wish I had a guy to fawn over like that.", she muttered as she headed for her locker. Her wish would be granted sooner than she thought. "Oof!" Adagio hit the floor, and rubbed her head. "Sorry about...." Adagio paused when she saw the guy she ran into. He was wearing a t-shirt with a flower on it with blue jeans, and had yellow and green hair with brown skin and blue eyes. "..that."
"It's no problem.", Veenus said with a smile. "Truth be told, I got distracted by you. So, my bad."
"Oh. And just what's so distracting about me?", Adagio asked with a flirty smile.
"Isn't it obivous? Look in a mirror.", Veenus joked.
Adagio giggled. "You really think I'm that pretty?"
Veenus pulled out a flower from his pocket. "Maybe it'll help if I've got this to compare you against." Veenus handed Adagio the flower. "I'm Veenus Bloomer. Glad I could literally bump into you."
Adagio lightly blushed at the banter going on between her and Veenus. "The pleasure's all mine. I'm Adagio. Adagio Dazzle."
"You certainly do.", Veenus said with a smile.
"Any more sweet talk out of you, and I'll need to go to the dentist.", Adagio said with a smile. "Say. Do you have any plans after school today?"
"Depends on what you wanna do."
Adagio smiled. "I'll be waiting for you at Sugarcube Corner then. Until then Veenus.", Adagio said with a wink as she walked off. 'Mission accomplished.' The day went on like normal. That is until lunch period. Burst and his friends had just sat down when they got an alert from Pegasus.
"Looks like lunch is gonna have to wait.", Burst said as he finished hearing the alert. "C'mon guys! Let's go!" Burst and the guys got up to leave. But as they left, Adagio noticed Veenus following after them.
'Why would he be following the rangers?' , Adagio thought as she followed Veenus. Burst and the rangers morphed and arrived at the location of the monster attack, and found a plant monster waiting for them!
"I'm guessing we're gonna need an industrial-sized container of weed killer?", Steel joked.
"Leave this to me and Ice.", Inferno said as he summoned his blaster. "One good scorching ought to do the trick!"
"Alright weedy! Time to burn!", Ice shouted! Both of them fired twin blasts of flame at Lord Poison! But they were surprised when Lord Poison fired a stream of water! Dousing the flaes they shot out! "Okay. Plan B. Slice and dice!" Inferno and Ice summoned their swords and charged at Lord Poison! But Lord Poison tripped them up with his vines and whacked them across the square! Howver, roots shot up from the ground and bound Lord Poison in place! Burst and the other rangers turned to see Veenus Bloomer controlling the roots binding Lord Poison.
"Thought you'd like the help of an expert on killing weeds.", Veenus said with a smile as he tightened the binding on Lord Poison!
Back at the command center...
Pegasus noticed a glow coming fromt he box of newly finished morphers, and opened it up. "Ah. It appears the black rose has bloomed." Pegasus took out the Black Rose Dragon Morpher and let it fly off to find its ranger! Back at the fight, Adagio's eyes widened as she saw Veenus using his powers!
'Looks like his last name really suits him.' , Adagio thought as she saw Veenus hold Lord Poison in place with the roots. She then noticed a bright light flying towards Veenus! "No way..." Veenus noticed the bright light land in front of him, and reached out to it. The light faded and revealed a new morpher! At that time, the roots holding Lord Poison broke and the monster hissed at Veenus. Adagio then made herself known. "Veenus! Strap the morpher onto your wrist! Then shout 'It's morphin' time!'" Veenus had no idea what she meant, but decided anything was better than tangling with Lord Poison as he was. Veenus strapped on the morpher and activated it!
"It's morphin' time! Black Rose Dragon!" In a flash of red-violet light, Veenus stood in armor modeled after Black Rose Dragon! "Whoa! I think my power just got boosted!" Lord Poison charged at Veenus, but Veenus summoned a storm of petals to disorient the overgrown weed! "Time to see what other tricks I've got!" Veenus then tried to summon his ranger weapon, and soon found a whip with thorns in his hands. "Nice!" Veenus got in a few lashes onto Lord Posion! Casuing the plant monster to hiss in pain! Lord Poison charged at Veenus again, but Veenus took to the air using the wings of his suit! "Time to finally uproot this weed!" Veenus coiled his rose whip around Lord Poison and channeled power through it! "Black Rose Blaze!" Purple flames danced along the whip as Lord Poison was charred and blackened before exploding! "One less weed in the garden." Veenus was surprised to see the other rangers power down. "So...how long have you been fighting monsters for anyway?"
"A lot longer than you.", Adagio answered as she walked over to Veenus.
"So that's one of the new morphers Pegasus was working on.", Burst said with a smile. "I would've thought he was saving it for Adagio."
"She would look lovely in the ranger suit.", Veenus said with a smile. "She's got the beauty of a rose and the thorns to match."
Adagio blushed! "Shouldn't you be getting welcomed to their team or something?"
"She's right.", Burst said with a chuckle. "I'm Burst Stream. Welcome to the Duelist Rangers."
"Happy to be aboard. I'm Veenus Bloomer." As the rangers greeted their new member, the false ranger that had attacked Sombra was watching the scene before him unfold.
"So. These are the Duelist Rangers. Soon, they'll be obsolete." The figure flew off to plot his next move.
The end of the school day...
"So now that you're a ranger, you'll have a free pass to the command center. Plus, you also get your own zord.", Adagio explained as she and Veenus shared a milkshake. "Any other questions?"
"Any chance you'd be interested in me giving you a lift in my brand new zord?", Veenus joked. Adagio giggled.
"Ever the sweet one are we?", Adagio asked.
"Can you blame me? It's not every day a guy bumps into a pretty girl like you. Much less even winds up on a date with her on the same day. Heh. Maybe love really is in bloom."
"You think this is a date?", Adagio asked nervously.
"It can be. If you want it to be.", Veenus said with a smile. Adagio's heart fluttered a little bit. "You know? I think there's something sweeter than the milkshake."
"Wh-what's that?"
Veenus leaned in close to Adagio and kissed her! "That.", Veenus said as he broke the kiss. Adagio was speechless! "Not used to being the one being flirted with, are you?"
"No. Although....it is kind of nice to have a guy who's not drooling over me.", Adagio said with a small smile. "Anyway...see you tomorrow!" Adagio left with a smile on her face as she headed home. Sonata noticed her elevated mood and smiled.
"Guess Dagi found the one!", she chirped. "Tell me about him!" As the two began to discuss Adagio's new love interest, Aria pouted.
"GREAT. I'm still in Club Single." Aria then sighed. "...I need a boyrfriend...."

Episode 6: Everything's Alright (?)
The school day soon drew to a close, and Burst headed off to Sugarcube Corner. It was during the week, so it wasn't all that crowded. "Rootbeer Float please Pinkie. Double Scoop."
"On it!", Pinkie chirped!
"Mind if we take a seat?", Celestia asked as she and Moon approached Burst.
"Not at all.", Burst said. "Huh. Look who's on the news." Burst, Celestia, and Moon turned their attention to the TV and saw Blitz and the other Lancers standing proud at their latest victory. "Hard to believe they're cheering from the same creep who attacked Chrysalis and Sombra not two nights ago."
"How do you figure that?"
"I saw Blitz morph. The description of his armor fits the details Sombra gave me to a T. And there he is parading around as everyone's hero. Him and the Lancers are so fast at their work, there's really not a need for us anymore. I guess on the plus side, I've got more time with you two now."
"Burst?", Moon asked. "Are you sure you made the right choice? I mean, you basically gave up on your dream. When you were a ranger you were so happy. You were living your dream out every day."
Burst sighed. "To be honest Moon? I don't know if I made the right choice. The Lancers are fighting, but they're only doing it for a paycheck. But with how fast they are, I really don't know if we're needed anymore. But should the time come, I'll take up my morpher again. Until then, let's just try to enjoy today." Burst gave Celestia and Moon a small smile.
Moon sighed. "I guess you're right."
Lancer Headquarters...
"You wanted to see me sir?", Gilda asked.
"Ah. Good of you to come Gilda. I've a special assignment for you.", Blitz said with a smile. "You're friends with CHS's star athelte Rainbow Dash. Correct?"
"Yeah. We were pretty good friends when we were kids. Are you thinking of recruiting her for the Lancers?"
"I'm not thinking. I WANT to recruit her. And I figured who better to get her onboard than an old friend? That is, IF you're up to the task."
"I guess it'll be nice to see Dash again.", Gilda said with a shrug. "Eh. I'll see what I can do."

Narico had just returned to Abyss's house, and saw her staggering! "Abyss! What..what happened?!"
"Blitz stole my power. He's using it to further his own strength.", Abyss answered weakly. "But he can't handle it! Combined with how unstable Blitz is, the whole city is at his mercy." Abyss then hung her head in shame. "It's all my fault..."
"And I thought things were bad with Burst out of commission. But first, we need to get you rested." Narico helped Abyss up, and was surprised when she kissed him on the cheek. "Uhhhhhh......"
"You're sweet Narico.", Abyss said with a small smile. "If Blitz doesn't wipe us out, I SO owe you a date."
Burst's house....
Burst and Moon had just seen the fight with the rangers against Blitz. Needless to say, they were shocked at the outcome. "Dang it! How're we supposed to beat a foe who get stronger the more we hurt him?!", Burst fumed.
"Burst. Calm down. We'll find a way. We always do.", Moon said with a reassuring smile. "We just need to think things through."
"Maybe I can be of some help.", Aether said. "I saw the fight Burst. Also, I know your secret."
"Dad?! How'd you know I was a ranger?", Burst asked.
"Because your powers surged only when you defeated Tirek. That's when your necklace alerted me that your power had been awakened. But you have yet to fully unlock it. Fortunately, I can fix that." Aether's hand glowed with a sparking blue light, and a stream of energy shot into Burst! "There. That should do it. Your power should also be greater than mine."
Burst then looked to his morpher and saw it had turned platinum. "Dad. I've got no doubts about that. From the feel of it, it's stronger than the Absolute mode."
"Then it looks like we've got a chance after all.", Moon said with a smile.

Blitz smirked. "This new power. I can feel it everywhere! Nothing can stand in my wa-" Blitz then hunched over! "What's....happening?!" Blitz's morpher then shattered as the dark power washed over his! He sporuted tattered dragon wings and the armor that was once his ranger form fused with his skin! The whites of his eyes turned black and his pupils narrowed into slits! "Yes. YES! With this form, my absolute victory is assured! And those that once stood in my way will know oblivion. And I know JUST the way to test my new power..."
