A Burning Tale
Chapter 10: Family Reunion or A New Beginning?
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDarkness... nothing but darkness and suffering. I once again can't forget that horrible place I was held in as I sat upright in my bed, sweating in fear. I rapidly turned my head towards the window which leads outside as I heard a clanking noise downstairs. I somehow wasn't able to move at all and started to panic a bit. After a few minutes I saw my Mother walking up the stairs and into my room. I sighed relieved and calmed down as my Mom smilled at me.
"Good Morning!"
I threw back my blanket and smiled back at her. I sniffed around a bit and joyfully licked my lips.
"Pancakes and Hay?"
I asked with a happy smile. I trotted towards the door and hugged the violette Pegasus Mare.
"You guessed it! We haven't heard from you for a while so we thought we'd visit you."
She replied with a really sweet smile. I smiled even brighter and look at her questioning.
"Mhm! They're both downstairs."
I ran past the Mare as she giggled and jumped down the stairs, slowly hovering to the ground, before bashing into the living room where they both sat on the sofa. I jumped over the sofa and tightly hugged my little brother Darian and little sister Heather. I could tell they were as excited to see me as I was myself.
"Oh I'm so happy to see you two again!"
I said while hugging them both with a very bright smile. I eventually let go of them and sat down on the ground.
"We wouldn't miss the opportunity to visit our Big Brother!"
They both replied at the same time. I chuckled andstood back up as Viollette brought a few plates to us and placed them on the table. I almost drooled at the sight of my Mothers amazing Pancakes topped off with a few slices of crispy Hay.
"It looks as delicous as I remember it, Mom"
She smiled happily and sat down on the opposite side of the table. I didn't hesitate to take a small bite.
"And it tastes just as good!"
She giggled happily. I smiled at her as I saw a very glimmer in her eyes.
"I'm very glad you still enjoy my breakfast, Lucky. I haven't made it as often as I used to since..."
I swallowed what I had left in my mouth and trotted over to hug Viollette.
"Shh~ Please don't cry, Mom. I know it's hard but let's focus on the happiness we still have, yes?"
She nodded as she wiped away a few tears. I gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead what gave her a new smile. We continued to eat until a new question broke the silence.
"How are the Ponies here? Have you found new friends yet?"
My Mother asked with a curious look. I sighed and looked back at her.
"Mom... I didn't move here to find new friends... I moved here to ensure your safety..."
Silence joined the conversation again. I stood up and looked down at my brother and sister.
"I think it would be better if you'd leave now... It's not safe here..."
My mother stood up and hugged me tight. I wrapped one of my hooves around her neck.
"I'm sorry, Mom..."
I said as they walked out the door and flew away with Darian on Viollettes back, Heather flying besides her. For the next hour I was busy cleaning the plates and my kitchen from the mess my siblings made. As I cleaned everything up I remembered the Pony I met in the Post office.
"If she's a friend of Twilight... why haven't she introduce us yet?..."
I said to myself. It didn't take long for me to stand inside Twilight's Crystal Castle. I spend about an hour and a half to search for Twilight or Spike but the only thing I found was a weird looking mirror. I carefully approached it and jumped back as the weird device around the mirror started making noises. I stood there, staring at the mirror and didn't move for a while.
