The 7 still remember Camp Everfree. It was where they defeated Gloriosa Daisy (as Gaea Everfree) from trapping everyone within the camp.

And since then, they've felt closer than ever to each other, because what they did there as ordinary teen girls was a good thing, perhaps even greater, because they saved someone extraordinary, and it made them extraordinary, too.

Since then, the bond remains, and a year after their trip to that camp, they return during the winter months to spend time together and to have fun with two of Applejack's cousins.

But something is wrong. Canterlot City is on quarantine from a mysterious disease called the Ripley. A malevolent entity called Mr. Gray hijacks Sunset Shimmer for purposes unknown. And an unhinged commander of government forces called "The Shop" seem both interested in the Ripley...and the portal to Equestria. Worst of all, the power of the Elements of Harmony are useless against this threat.

Whether they like it or not, the girls find that they - along with a certain friend of theirs - might the be our last hope. Not just of this world, but all worlds beyond.
