Three Little Fillies...

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Immediately after the tens of horses started screaming at Breane, she ran back the way she came. But, instead of running back into the castle, Breane jumped over a wall and scaled onto an enormous garden shed in the gardens that she passed earlier. Once Breane did her best to conceal herself, it was hard because of her bulking Spartan armour, she went over the facts of the situation:

Unknown Where abouts - BAD

Weird ONI spawned horses - BAD

Lots of ONI horses - BAD

ONI horses are scared of her - BAD

Horses don't know where she is - GOOD

No other humans in known area - BAD

ONI horses think ONI scientist is princess - BAD

Some armoured, combat trained horses - BAD

Fuck - BAD

After reviewing the facts, Breane negatively noticed that the bad outnumbered the good. Breane noticed a sound off in the distance, it sounded like trotting.

Horse getting near - BAD

Breane got up to move just as the horse came into sight. The horse took notice to Breane and its horn started to glow blue. Breane attempted to jump off the shed but something was keeping her hand back. The spartan took a gander at her left hand to see that a blue aura was keeping it locked in place. Breane pulled as hard as she could, and after five seconds her hand slowly broke free of the aura. By this time four more horses, all five attired in golden armour, had appeared. Breane ran at a pace with which she could fun fifty kilometers in about ten minutes (Read this in a book, spartans can do this.) She could easily outrun the horses. Breane was about to turn a corner when another horses ran into her, white and armoured like the others. One horse tried to kick Breane but his hoof only met air. Soon after his was being thrown over Breane's back and into the ground. The blow knocked him out instantly. Breane made a stupid decision and ran into the castle.

After minutes of ducking and dodging through out the castle, Breane hid in a janitor's closet. Breane kept the door open slight waiting for a guard horse to come along. Eventually one did, Breane pulled him inside and slammed it against the wall with a hand on his mouth,

"Alright, I'm gonna make this quick and simple, I'm gonna ask you a few questions alright?"

The horse shook its head, Breane leaned in closer, "Look, I'm a specially combat trained soldier, and I won't think twice to snap your neck. Now, will I get some answers or not?"

The horse nodded, its eyes watering. Breane took her hand off its muzzle.

"Alright, now first, where is the scientist?"

"What?"

"The scientist? The other human?"

"What, what's a human?"

"ME! I'm a human." Breane took off her helmet, revealing her red hair.

"I've never seen anything like you!"

"Shit, okay take me there."

"Oh, okay."

Breane jumped up, gracefully hitting her head on the ceiling, "OW, god damnit." Put her spartan helmet back on, then dragged the horse out the room. The horse noticed more horses rounding the corner, gold armour and all, "OH CELESTIA HELP ME!"

Breane's eyes opened and her head turned around, "You fucking didn't."

By then the other guards had noticed her. Breane picked up the horse in her hand and chucked it at the other three. Breane strutted into the group of four horses, swiftly punched two and knocked them. She grabbed the other in a choke hold, keeping them there until they were unconscious. Breane looked at, who she thought was the pony that screamed, and spoke, "You know you didn't have to do that, now more are going to be coming for me." Breane picked him up and slammed him into the wall, making him stuck in the wall.

She kept walking down the opposite way of the pile of horses where, as she had said, more horses were. At their lead was a   more noticeable horse, his mane was two shades of blue, and his armour stood our from the rest,

"Stop, in the name of Celestia!"

"Who?"

"Princess Celestia!"

"Who is that?"

"Answers later, Draw!" All the horses drew pikes, pointing them directly at Breane. The spartan slowly crept backwards towards a window behind her. Breane thought to herself,

Alright, make a sudden movement, get the leader next to you.

Breane spang backwards, causing the leader to follow her. Breane grabbed the end of the pike, pulled the leader close and threw him threw the window. Breane, still holding onto the leader horse, as he dangled thousands of meters of the ground, shouted,

"ALRIGHT! I WANT SOME ANSWERS! GIVE ME THEM, OR YOU FALL!"

The captain looked scared but said, "No."

Breane lifted a finger from his hoof, "You sure?"

The captain sighed, "Fine, fine."

"Well first, tell your men to stand down."

The captain shouted through the window, "Stand down."

"Good, now first question: where am I?"

"You don't know?"

"Do NOT answer my questions with more questions."

"Fine, your in Equestria."

"And, where might that be?"

"On the planet of Eque."

"Shit. Alright, I want an audience with your leader. And I mean of your empire, city whatever."

"You mean Princess Celestia?"

"Yes, sure."

"Then pull me up."

Breane strengthened her grip and pulled the horse into the hallway. One it was back on its feat Breane spoke to it, "Alright, I want to be taken straight to your leader, whether they're expecting me or not."

The horse scowled, "She will be angry from and disturbance, but alright."

As the group of horses criss-crossed through the endless hallways, Breane noticed how primitive this civilization was to her own. They still used pikes and such for weapons, stone and wood for structures, metal armour, no major technology. It was surprising to her how not all civilizations had progressed this little, despite her intense education with the other spartans.

The leader horse finally approached two large golden doors, he opened them and walked through. As Breane came closer she took notice that the doors were real gold, with actual gems in the middle.

"Damn..."

The horses stopped and bowed upon a throne. The throne had a horse on it, actually it was a pegasus... no a unicorn. No, both.

"Wait, what?" Breane finally took notice to the other horses around her, there were peguses, unicorns and even normal horses. Then there was this one horse that was all three. Is that what made her special? Maybe it was her mane that looked alive? Damn, where was she?

The pegasus/unicorn horse looked at the leader horse, "Yes Shining Armour, what is it?" The pegasus/unicorn looked behind 'Shining Armour' at Breane,

"Or need I ask."

"Hopefully not Princess. This is what was recovered from the Everfree Forest yesterday."

"I thought it wasn't moving."

"As many thought, it then woke up. And injured some ponies."

"What!"

Breane spoke up, "You know what? In my defence, I woke up in a unknown place, I get out of a room, one of the horses attacks me, I defend myself, I walk outside and there is THOUSANDS of horses, I run back into this castle and you guys start attacking me! OF COURSE I AM GOING TO FUCKING INJUR SONE UNKOWN SPECIES THAT ATTACKS ME!"

All 'ponies' in the room gazed at Breane, surprised by her sudden outburst. She did admit, her temper wasn't the longest. The calmest looking, the one on the throne, though still surprised spoke, "I see your reason,..."

Breane took off her helmet, "My name's Breane or Spartan 716."

"Well then Breane, you must understand you are an unknown creature that showed up in a local forest. Your armour, or whatever it may be, was beyond what we know. You scared us so we decided to study you, learn about you."

"You could'a just asked."

"You were unconscious for a day."

"Could'a waited." Breane also more of a stubborn spartan. Breane quickly thought up a question that was on the back of her mind, "So, I'm awake now. What are you going to do with me?"

Princess Celestia got up from her throne and walked down to the living war machine, "Well, I hadn't thought of it, because we didn't know if you would wake up or not."

Breane's eyes went wide, she had realized something. Something that obviously made this and ONI experiment, "How do you horses know english?"

The large, white equine looked annoyed, "It's ponies, and I have never heard of this english that you speak of, the language used here is Equestrian."

Breane's eyes went from surprised to thoughtful, she began to think out loud, "Apparently I'm on a different planet, with a completely different species and we speak the same language." Breane started to ignore the ponies in the room, lost in thought.

Shining Armour nudged Breane, "There IS a princess in the room you know."

Breane, annoyed by the white unicorn, looked down at Princess Celestia, "Yeah?"

"You are correct, with the things you have stated, with us being from different planets, a different species yet we speak the same language. I think it would be best that you stay with my star pupil, Twilight Sparkle. It would be a great learning opportunity for her plus you two can figure out a answer to our thoughts."

Damn, Breane thought, going to stay with ponies. The princess began to write a letter, "What the fu..."

The princess quizzically looked at the spartan, "Is something wrong?"

"Yeah, how the hell are you holding that?" Breane pointed at the note and quill

The authoritative pony calmly said, "Magic."

Breane snorted, "Yeah sure, now what's the real answer."

The princess raised an eye row, if she had one, "I am not lying."

"Wait, then... the... nevermind." Breane thought, Fuck it, they got pegasuses and unicorns and a mix of them, guess magic might as well be legit as well.

The princess began to pronounce her letter, "Dear Twilight Sparkle, I have arranged that a special guest has come to stay with you, I see this as a learning opportunity for you. Princess Celestia." The letter rose up infront of her and disappeared in a flash. About a minute later another letter appeared out of nowhere. Celestia read out loud, "Dear Princess Celestia, I am very curious as to who this special guest is and what learning opportunities they may provide. From Twilight Sparkle."

Princess Clestia wrote a fast letter and sent it back, all the while Breane was amazed by the flashing of letters. Again, she decided not to argue with another planet's laws, "Alright, when do I leave for Twilight?" Breane suppressed a laugh, the name on this planet were hilarious.

"Right away, I'd hope."

"Sure." Breane grunted. Breane was lead to a open field where there were many chariots waiting around. There was also a long slick rode, looking like a runway of sorts. Two ponies strode infront of Breane. They showed her to a single chariot and instructed her to get on the ancient Roman vehicle. Breane stepped on and almost immediately sat down. To two ponies to escorted her strapped onto two harnesses on the front of the chariot. The vehicle was already ready to go down the runway so the ponies started to run. They couldn't. The one ton heavy soldier was more than they were used to pulling. One of the armoured ponies sighed and walked off into the castle.

"Where's he going?" Breane asked the other equine. Her merely grunted, apparently not wanting a conversation.

After a odd few minutes the pony returned with two more and two more harnesses. The three guards strapped onto the chariot in a brisk pace. The four male looking ponies started to sprint down the runway. Slowly but surely they were able to get into the air. Breane stared at the feathery wings of the mythological creatures. The chariot slowly passed over the city and descended. Breane gazed over the side and gasped when she saw that the palace she was just running around in was also a city suspended on a mountain.

The mountain side city was slowly becoming smaller and the chariot flew over a field. Breane rested her head on the side wall of the chariot. She slowly fell asleep.

Breane's body slowly adjusted in her sleep, the pony guards were completely unaware when the one ton alien fell of the chariot. Some how they couldn't tell that the chariot became one ton lighter.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders were having so much fun. The trio were having a sleep over in their club house constructed on Sweet Apple Acres. They were aloud to sleep in their headquarters after some convincing towards Appleblooms's elder sister Applejack, the famed farmpony of Ponyville. The reason these three fillies wanted to sleep in their club house was so that they could creep into the Everfree forest. These three devoted fillies thought that they could find a Cutie Mark of sorts in the infamous forest.

Though, all wasn't going according to plan. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had woken later that wanted, and they were currently in a debate of whose fault it was, or atleast two of them were,

"YOU were the one who was supposed to wake us up!" Scootaloo pointed a accusing hoof at her friend Sweetie Belle.

"What! You were!" Sweetie Belle retorted

"Gals, let's just go? Ah'm sure it'll be fine." Apple Bloom hated seeing her fellow Cruesaders fight.

"Yeah sure, we all agreed that you'd wake us up!" Scootaloo pointed another hoof then fell, both of her forehooves were pointed at the small white unicorn.

Both the other crusaders snorted, Scootaloo looked annoyed, "Fine, let's just go."

The small ponies put on their signature capes and set out into the near by forest. Apple Bloom was in the lead, holding a big lantern in her mouth, Scootaloo was in second and Sweetie Belle took up the rear,

"Do you really think it's safe out here?" Sweetie Belle nervously eyed the surrounding trees.

"What? After Fluttershy gave that cockatrice the stare, no thing will mess with us!" Scootaloo confidently replied to her friend.

"Ah dunno, Sweetie Belle could be right about it naht being safe 'round here. Ah think we should be careful" Apple Bloom warned her pegasus friend.

Scootaloo seemed to be ignoring them now, bouncing around she took notice to many things they could earn their cutie mark from. As she was blabbering random cutie mark ideas, Apple Bloom eyed Sweetie Belle and shot a worried face towards her filly friend.

The trio carried on for what seemed like hours but was only about ten minutes, so far no cutie marks had come their way.

Apple Bloom began to feel down,

"Maybe we should just head back." Her negative attitude did try to get solved by her friends, but they slowly came to agree with their farmpony friend.

Scootaloo sadly said, "Yeah sure, but..." The orange filly looked around, "Which way did we come?"

The fillies all had their eyes shooting around in fear, eventually they recoiled in fear all next to each other,

"Does anyone remember the way we came?" Sweetie Belle nervously asked her friends,

"Nah, all tha trees 'round here look tha same!" Apple Bloom whispered, hoping none of the evil creatures in the would here her.

Off in distance a loud, baritone roar could be heard. It shook the trees, land and three little fillies who were now scared half to death.

"Wha.. Was that ah manticore?" Apple Bloom shivered, getting closer than thought possible to her friends.

"I think so." Scootaloo tried to not looked scared infront of her friends, but was failing miserably.

On the other hand, Sweetie Belle looked like she was about to scream. Actually she was about to scream. Both Scootaloo and Apple Bloom tackled Sweetie Belle to cover her mouth. They, under no circumstances, wanted to alert the creatures of the Everfree.

Again, the Manticore roared, except this time, it sounded closer.

The fallen spartan woke, there was dirt in her visor, and her head hurt like hell. Not likeable conditions. Breane swiped the dirt off her orange visor and sat up. Her head was throbbing,

"There wouldn't be Aspirin here, would there?" Breane asked no one in particular.

A soft grunt emerged from behind a metal helmet as Breane jumped up, her metal boots making a soft clunk on the small rocks and earth. Off in the distance, an orange glow was settling over a forest, night was coming. Breane fumbled for the switch on the back of her helmet, turning on night vision. The spartan could see flickering lights obviously coming from a town of village. They were just beyond the edge of a forest, the forest seemed decently seized compared to some of the massive forests on Reach.

Deciding that civilization was the best option right now, besides being in an unfamiliar planet, Breane began to walk to the forest. Breane hoped that there would be no inconveniences while she headed into the town.

She hoped wrong.

When one first enters the forest the trees are spread out, but as you get deeper into the forest, the trees begin to close in on you, making one claustrophobic and having not very much moving space. But for Breane, she was taller and bulkier than the native species of this land, which significantly decreased the moving space,

"Damn, maybe this was a bad idea. I coulda ran around this forest."

Breane looked behind her to see that the trees looked even denser behind her, even though that's the way she came,

"What? That's gotta be impossible."  Breane was dumbfounded by what had happened, having no other way to go, she continued forward.

The crowded forest was giving Breane a pain, she was walking sideways. And the little to no foot space mean't she kept hitting one foot into the other, small branches, seemingly coming out of no where, kept scraping across her visor making a very annoying screeching noise and she felt like she was getting nowhere.

Eventually, after a mentally painful walk, Breane stumbled into a clearing,

"Thank god." Breane said to no one. Breane walked into the middle of the clearing and sat down resting her aching feat. The spartan sat for five minutes before she heard a twig snap and a roar, the roar was extremely close. At the sound of the twig, Breane jumped up and dashed into a bush. Using her hands to clear a small way in the bush Breane looked into the clearing, mouth agape. What she saw seemed impossible, despite so many other impossible things on this planet. There was a large creature in the middle of the clearing, where Breane was sitting not moments ago.

The creature had the head and body of a lion, wings closely resembling a bat's and a over sized scorpion tail. The creature looked oddly familiar, even though Breane had never come into contact with one. But that was exactly it, Breane had never come into contact with one, yet she had seen them. Breane had seem them in books about both ancient Greek and Persian myths. The manticore, originally named Mantichora, was of Persian myth origin, but was renamed Manticore by the Greeks.

"How in the hell?" Breane eyed the creature as it continued out the clearing and back into the forest. Unsure of what to do now, Breane pursued after the Manticore, thinking she could out run it if the manticore noticed her. The mythical creature acted as though it was after something, even though Breane couldn't see anything obvious.

'Must be smell.' Breane thought to herself. The creature had a nose so it must've been using it.

Breane followed the creature for atleast another two minutes before they entered another clearing. Breane dived behind another bush, smart enough not to follow the creature into a clearing. The creature stopped for sure in the middle of the clearing, stuck its head up and began to sniff the air.

'Knew it, it was using smell.'

The manticore began to walk to a small tree opposite to Breane. If one listend closely, you could hear three sets of nervous breathing. As the menacing paws of the manticore crept towards the tree, the breathing's noise elevated, making the manticore move faster. This continued for seconds, long dreadful seconds. The manticore was almost at the tree when something odd happened.

A small orange, purple and red blur came out from behind the tree. The blur was emitting a noise before it stumbled and came to a stop. The blur turned into a small pony, it was also armoured with a red cape. The manticore, surprised by the event, turned on the blur and began to growl, the pony quivered in fear.

"Holy sh-- that looks like one of the ponies!" Breane thought over what she could do, either let the manticore get the pony or possibly get injured defending the pony. The spartan thought that the latter was more appealing but would never hear the end of it if there were more ponies around.

"Well, shit..." Breane squinted her eyes and charged at the mythical beast. The manticore changed it's attention to the charging soldier, it growled and attempted attacking, but it didn't get a chance. Instead a metal foot collided with it's face. The blow pushed the beast back. It growled in anger before realeasing a menacing roar. The manticore jumped at Breane, but she was already gone. The beast looked up confused, trying to find its pray. The prey ended up on its back, holding its neck in blue, metal arms. The would end up being fatal to the manticore, so it used its massive scorpion tail to its advantage. The tail missed the spartan but hit the manticore's own back side.

The blow hurt, but the manticore's own venom had no effect on it. Breane noticed the tail and edged further up the manticore, out of reach form it's tail. But, the manticore still thought it could hit Breane and kept and stabbing itself, eventually drawing blood. All the while, two more small ponies crept out from behind the tree and crawled towards their friend. Then, the three small ponies watched the spartan and the manticore wrestle.

In a sort of bucking motion, the manticore threw Breane off itself. Breane's helmet was also thrown off her by the brute force of the ravage animal. Breane landed in a patch of blue flowers, she barely had time to react before the manticore jumped at  her again. Breane moved missing most of the claw, but one caught the black body suit in between the armour's outer alloy. Breane cried out in pain and the massive gash began seeping out. The smell of fresh blood made the manticore even more determined to catch its pray. It jumped again, but in a flash of pain, Breane had jumped on it again. This time wrapping her legs around the monstrous creatures neck. The next minute was a minute of pure struggle. The manticore was thrashing around trying to get Brean off. But, Breane was resilient to stay on.

The manticore's face became a deep shade of purple, visible under it's fur. Its movements became slower and less powerful, all before it came to a stop.  The beast crashed down to the earth, where Breane jumped off. She gave its neck an almighty crack, taking an instant dislike to manticores.

"Damn, that was odd... Who else is gonna fight a mythological creature?" Breane chuckled to herself. Breane remembered why she had fought the manticore in the first place. She turned around and gazed at the three small ponies. They all looked smaller than the princess and her guards, they even looked to be toddlers.

"Hey." Breane crouched down to get to their eye level, even though they were barely two feet tall.

"Are you guys alright?" Breane put on a reassuring face, though winced from her massive gash.

"Look, I'm not gonna hurt you." The spartan offered a helping hand, trying to get an interaction out of the fillies. They stayed stiff as a board.

"Um, let's start with named alright?" None of the fillies moved.

"I'll start, I'm Breane." She looked at all three of the fillies, putting on a wishful face.

A yellow filly with a bow in her mane opened her mouth, "Ahm A-Apple B-Bloom." She stepped back in fear.

Breane put on a fake smile, "Hi Apple Bloom, now you tell me your name." She looked at a small white unicorn,

"I'm Sweetie Belle." She mumbled, barely audible, but Breane could still hear,

"Now you." She pointed her already out hand at the small orange pegasus.

"I…" The fillie gulped, "I'm S-Scootal-loo."

"Is there anyway I can get you three home?"

Apple Bloom spoke up, "We, we got lost. We don't know where we are?"

"Akkor miért jöttél el die?" Breane mumbled in her native language, "Well, I was heading towards a town over there." Breane pointed to her right.

"Is it Ponyville?" Apple Bloom nervously questioned, still unsure if the hulking, metal biped.

"I'm not sure, but it's civilization." Breane answered

"Then sure we'll c-come." Sweetie Belle squeaked.

"Alright, it's settled. You guys come with me, and I'll drop you off at the town."

"O-okay." Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle answered their saviour.  But, Scootaloo stayed silent.

Breane got up and strayed over to her helmet. Breane placed her helmet back on her head and returned to the fillies,

"Alright, let's go." Breane walked at a brisk pace.

"Hey wait up!" Breane looked back to see she put twenty metres between her and the fillies. Right, she had much longer legs. After the fillies had caught up with her, they continued their eventless journey through the Everfree forest. The walk was awkward and boring, Breane didn't have any thing to saw, and the fillies were too scared to say anything, even to each other.

Though, thankfully, the awkwardness came to a stop when the group reached the edge of the forest,

"Is this Ponyville?" Breane asked the trio, getting an answer out of Apple Bloom.

"Y-yeah, sure is. Thank yah, miss… Bree-ann." Apple Bloom fumbled with the pronunciation of Breane's name before taking off with her friends,

"Sure know how to treat guests, don't they?" Breane chuckled to herself. With her night vision still in, Breane could see it was still night out. Having no where to sleep, she settled next to a nearby oak tree. With her helmet off, and in a decently comfortable position, Breane drifted off to sleep...
