Chapters Opening my eyes, they were assaulted by the vile enemy of all hangovers the sun. Groaning I shut them thinking back, I don't remember drinking anything at the party, in fact, I don't remember even get to the party. Wait let me think I got home, and a message showed up on my phone. Some friends of mine wanted me to go to a party with them. Okay now think let's see I went out and picked up a costume from some Mom and Pops store. Come to think of it the guy behind the counter seemed odd Oh hell who am I kidding the guy was freaky. I didn't even get a good look at the costume at first I wanted to get the hell outta there. To be honest, I thought it was an alien or at least Godzilla. I guess it'll do although it's cool if you think about it a dinosaur made up of the most powerful and deadly dinos and some awesome abilities from modern animals not to mention and I don't care what anybody says the I Rex had human DNA cause no animal is that damn smart.
" I'm sorry if my appearance is frightening to you but I promise I will not harm you in any way," I said in a low gravely voice.
Waiting for a moment I opened my eyes to see her standing there no longer shaking but her eyes were as big as dinner plates and her mouth hung open in shock.
"You, you can talk." She said still in shock.
"Yes I can and if I had any rhythm or talent I could probably be able to sing and dance," I said with a slight chuckle.
Hearing her laugh made me want to smile but I remembered that I had a mouth full of long sharp teeth so I chose to chuckle once more.
"By the way can I ask for your name Miss?" I said as I tilted my head a little.
" My name is Fluttershy." She said in a very quiet voice.
"I'm sorry but could you repeat that please," I asked staining my already sensitive hearing.
" My name is Fluttershy." She said again.
"One more time if you would please, I think a mosquito coughed just as you spoke," I said trying not to get annoyed.
" My name is Fluttershy." She said emphasizing her name last which caused her to blush and hide behind her mane.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Fluttershy and I can say that you are very cute when you're blushing," I told her which made her blush even more.
"An and it's very nice to meet you Mr. Dragon sir," Fluttershy said still hiding behind her mane.
"Thank you but you see I'm not a dragon," I said lifting my head up a little.
"Oh um could you tell me what you are if that's alright with you that is." Flutter's said looking a little saddened as if she insulted me.
"It's quite alright please do not be upset it's an honest mistake no harm done," I said reassuring her making her smile once again.
Thinking for a moment I decided to give her the easiest answer I could think of. " I don't know what I am honestly. I believed my so called kind lived long before dragons ever existed we were called Dinosaurs. And yet I know I am not a true dinosaur just a genetically engineered tool created for the enjoyment of others."I said as tears began to fall from my eyes.
Fluttershy moved closer to me and began to rub her hoof on the side of my head to calm me down. “ Shhhhhh it’s alright I’m here there’s no need to cry can you tell me your name if that's alright,” She said now that all of her fear was gone.
“My name was Greg but I guess now it’s Indominus Rex though you can call me whichever you like,” I said still with some tears in my eyes.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Greg,” Fluttershy said with the nicest and biggest smile she ever had.
I smiled still trying to hide the large rows of serrated teeth in my mouth but it didn’t work very well Fluttershy's eyes grew at the sight of them. Thinking that I had made the biggest mistake of my life and possibly lost my first and only friend here. I turned my head away as new tears formed in my eyes.
“Oh my, you have very big teeth and sharp looking too you must be carnivorous. Um is it ok if you only eat fish because I would like to keep all my animal friends will be safe?” She said which made me turn my head back to face her.
“ Your not afraid of me because I eat meat?” I asked her only for her to shake her head.
“Oh no not anymore, “ She said blushing then continued speaking.” You see I have many friends that only eat meat like Monty the Manticore and Harry the Bear I’m not against it that is just how life is.”
“Thank you, Fluttershy that means a lot, but I think I’m Omnivorous so I can eat plants and meat but to answer your question before yes I do love eating fish,” I said as I shifted positions.
“Thank you, Greg, that means a lot to me, but can I ask you something are you comfortable lying on the ground can’t you stand up?” She asked looking a little concerned.
“I’m sorry for worrying you I can stand but I didn’t want to frighten you from my size and to be honest, I was afraid if somepony sees me they would panic and then I ....” I said trailing off at the end.
“Oh but I think it will be ok besides it must be very uncomfortable to stay like that so would you please try for me that is if you don’t mind,” Fluttershy said looking very concerned.
Nodding my head or as close to it I shifted around getting my legs and arms beneath me and with one massive push. Ok, maybe a couple of pushes as some grunts and a few choice words but I finally was up. The balancing part took a little time but I got it.
Hovering around me Fluttershy took in every detail before landing down in front of me with a smile on her face. Or is it muzzle I’ll have to ask later.
“Oh my goodness you are tall and may I say your coloring is very beautiful,” She said blushing a bit but continued staring at me with a smile.

Giggling she hovered in front of me. ” I think after you calmed down and after you stood up your true colors appeared,” She said trying to think of any reason for this to happen.
“Thank you and I think your right if I remember correctly I am part of something called a cuttlefish and they could change their colors all the time,” I said as I used one of my claws to scratch my chin in a thinking pose only to make Fluttershy giggle more.
As we stood there a low rumbling could be heard it started low but got louder in seconds. I looked around expecting to see a Hydra or Manticore only to see a very red pony trying to hide behind her mane.
Chuckling I looked at her with a toothy smile. “My it looks like somepony is a little hungry or was that a Hydra nearby?” I said only to make her ‘EEP’ and hide deeper into her mane. I am sorry Fluttershy I didn’t mean to embarrass you, in fact, I’m getting a little hungry myself,” I told her so she would calm down.
Luckily it worked as she looked at me again still with a hint of blush but fine.
“If you would like we can head to my cottage and get something to eat?” She asked only to see the fear in my eyes.
“Are you sure it’s safe I mean I don’t want to cause a panic or anything?” I asked still unsure about this. You see I never liked confutations I wasn't a pushover mind you but when there was fighting I would just walk away,” I said lowering my head in shame.
“It will be alright I live outside of town and not many ponies come to visit because my home is so close to the forest,” She said looking at me with big puppy dog eyes.
I sighed as I looked at her. “Ok, we can go, but if there’s any trouble I'm going to run back in here and hide while you explain everything deal,” I said bringing my claw out for her to shake.
After our agreement, I suggested that she ride on my head for two reasons first being that I would not be as threatening this way and second I can move faster than her so we could get to her house or cottage in less time.
As we made our way through the forest Fluttershy told me all about her friends and the adventures they were on. How they saved Princess Luna, to stopping a big meany named Tirek. But luckily my suggested for her to ride on my head was a good idea because half way out of the forest we came across a pack of what she called Timberwolves. I mean these things were made from wood. They came out and tried to surround us growling and trying to jump at Fluttershy. Seeing this I got angry for the first time or maybe it was my instincts I don't know but what I did, even scared me. “I’m sorry if I scared you Fluttershy but something in me just couldn’t let you get hurt and I didn’t want to hurt them so I roared,” I said looking in the direction where she was sitting on my head.
“It’s alright I wasn’t scared just surprised and thank for not hurting them they were just trying to get food for their pack,” Fluttershy said as she hugged the top of my head making me blush. Which I found out the spikes and marks were the things that changed the most they would be a dark red while the rest of me would be lite pink.
“It’s alright Greg see my cottage is right over there and there's no pony around I promise nothing will happen to you I’ll protect you ok?” Fluttershy said using that cursed puppy dog eyes on me again.
Damn you puppy dog eyes who ever invented you may they rot in hell.
I stood back up but didn’t stop camouflage so I looked like a large blur moving towards her cottage with her still on my head. Hey, it’s a start for me I’ve seen monster movies even if the creature is nice what do the people do they attack it first then asks questions. We finally got to her cottage where I lowered down so Fluttershy could get off my head I also stopped camouflage but my color was all gray. Probably because of fear and I know what you're thinking “You're a big bad dinosaur what are you afraid of? ” My answer lots of things, two of them being the Princesses from what Fluttershy has told me of them those two can move the sun and the moon the freakin’ sun and moon. There is no way I’m going to get on their bad side thank you very much. My thoughts were brought back by the feeling of multiple little animals crawling on my head and back. Looking I saw bunnies, cats, squirrels, and some birds as well.
“See I knew my animal friends would like you,” Fluttershy said as she watches more animals come over to see and meet me even Harry the bear gave me a hug on my head.
“I know and your right I shouldn’t overreact about everything it’s just I don’t want to lose you as a friend Fluttershy I just don’t think I could make it alone here,” I said then I felt not only Fluttershy but all the animals giving me a hug.
“I will always be your friend Greg no matter what,” She said tightening her hug.
Our little moment was cut short by the sound of voices calling for Fluttershy and they were getting closer. So I did what came naturally I got up and went to hide behind the cottage activating camouflage.
“Oh Greg,” Fluttershy said sadly as she seen what I did.
I watched as five ponies were coming closer and from my vantage point, I could see who the ponies were. And that started to fill me with dread for three reasons first there was Rainbow Dash I know for a fact if she sees me she'll overreact and attack me because the way I look like. Second, if Twilight Sparkle finds out I'm from another world and genetically engineered she'll want to do tests on me and I always hated going to the doctors. But what scared me the most was even with camouflage Pinkie Pie would know I was here.
My thoughts were interrupted by the others speaking.
"Fluttershy there you are we were worried about you Darling," The one I know as Rarity said in that posh voice of hers.
"Yeah, Sugarcube didn't Y'all hear that roar a while ago?" The Stetson-wearing Applejack asked in her country accent.
"There's some kind of monster in the Everfree Forest and from to roar it sounded like it was near your place," The tackles Rainbow Dash said. Making both Fluttershy and myself cringe from the word monster.
Fluttershy stood there her eyes shifting back and forth and a little sweat formed on her forehead.
Are you all right you're acting like Applejack when she' playing cards with Big Mac and Spike," Twilight Sparkle asked stepping closer to her friend.
"Oh my, am I acting strange I'm sorry I don't mean to now what was it about a mo monster in the forest," Fluttershy said choking on the word monster trying not to cry knowing that it's hurting her friend Greg.
"Yeah, you sure you're alright you need to go to the hospital or something?" Rainbow Dash asked her friend.
"Oh-oh-oh maybe she's acting strangely is because she's hiding a huge dinosaur that's not a dinosaur behind her house that can talk and turn invisible," Pinkie said to which both Fluttershy and myself both facehoofed and faceclawed.
"And how would you know that darling?" Rarity asked her pink bouncing friend.
"My Pinkie Sence told me there was going to be a new pony in town but they weren't going to be a pony but something really big but that they were as nice as Fluttershy," Pinkie said as she started to bounce towards where I was hiding.
Seeing this both Fluttershy and me both panicked but mostly me. She moved to intercept her bouncing friend.
"Alright your right I am hiding a new friend from all of you but you must understand Greg is very confused and scared so you must promise not to do or say anything to upset him," Fluttershy said to her friends in the sternest voice she could make.
It's alright you can come out Greg your safe," Fluttershy said in her kind and soothing voice.
"Are are you sure they're not going to hurt me or anything right they promised you right?" I asked sticking my head around the corner still camouflaged.
To ease my worries all the girls said and did the Pinkie Promise to make sure I knew it was safe.
Taking a deep breath and deactivating camouflage I returned to my blue spike color before I stepped out. Each of my steps made a loud thud on the ground and shock the five mares that were on the ground.
After getting comfortable I took a deep breath to steady myself. " Hello I am an Indominus Rex but you can all me Greg," I said as I waved one of my hands or claws at them.
There were a few minutes of absolute silence and I will say this that was scary.
"Whoo- wee they sure grow you kind big where you're from don't they?" Applejack said as she to her hat of looking at me.
"My word the color of your scales shine like sapphires," Rarity said making me blush only for my spikes and spots to turn red. "And now they are like flawless rubies."
"This simply amazing to see a sentient creature that has been excited for over a billion years and to talk, with it is just so so amazing," Twilight said as her eyes began to sparkle.
Pinkie appeared on top of my head looking at me upside down.
"HimynamesPiknePiesoyournamesGregthatsaweirdnameforaponybutyournotaponyyouradinosaursoGregdoyoulikepatieswhatsyourfavoritecakedoyoulikecakecanwebefriends?" She said all in one breath.
I was starting to feel a little better so a smiled a little making sure not to show my teeth. "Yes I like parties and my favorite cake is Pineapple upside down cake and I would like to be your friend Pinkie," I said to her only to make her 'squee' before bouncing around saying she has a dinosaur as a friend.
Like I said I was feeling better but when Rainbow Dash spoke up that changed everything.
"Are you bucking kidding me the five of you are trusting that thing I mean look at it. It's as big as a full grown dragon and its' teeth look like they could shred us to bits not to mention it can turn invisible. So how can any of you trust this monster!" Rainbow yelled emphasizing the word monster.
The other girls gasped at this and Fluttershy was going to say something to me but I was already gone after hearing that especially the word monster I activated camouflage and ran off back into the forest with tears in my eyes.
"I know I'm not normal but I'm not a bad guy I would never hurt anyone so why did she have to do it why?" Was all I could think about as I ran not caring where I was going I just ran.
Back with the others, Fluttershy was looking at Rainbow Dash with a mixer of rage and sadness.
"Rainbow how, how could you be so mean to Greg he has been nothing but kind to me from the first moment we met he even scared away a pack of Timberwolves without hurting them because he doesn't like violence and you had to be a big meanie and call him a monster," She said as she started to fly off to look for her friend. "And right now I'm not sure you and I should consider ourselves friends Rainbow Dash."
And with that, she was gone leaving a very shocked Cyan Pegasus as well as four other ponies.
Pinkie walked up to Rainbow and pulled her close but not for a hug Pinkie look her friend in the eye. "You Pinkie Promised not to do or say anything mean to Greggy and you broke it." Pinkie said in a sadistic tone before running off to help look for Greg.
Twilight walked over to the now scared Pegasus. "Rainbow I just wanted to say that before your little incident Fluttershy told me that Greg may have had sharp teeth but he was omnivorous, meaning he could eat plants and meat. But he also promised only to eat meat in the forest away from us so we wouldn't git sick I just thought you'd like to know that," Twilight said before taking off to help the others.
Rarity and Applejack didn't say anything to her they just left as well.
Sitting on the ground rubbing her hoof on the back of her head Rainbow began to feel tears form in her eyes. What Flutters said about not being friends to breaking a Pinkie Promise to doing the same thing she did to Zecora judging her without getting to know her.
"Oh man I'm the stupendous pony in all Equestria, I got to make this right and get back my friends and apologize to I hope my new friend," She said to herself before taking off into the sky leaving behind a rainbow trail.
After this, all happened Celestia and a battalion of guards emerged from a displacement spell.
The captain walked up to the Princess getting her attention. Your Majesty should I have the men spread out and aid in the search for this.....Greg?" The Captain asked quickly changing the last word when he saw how the Princess looked at him.
"No, Observe but do not interact with them unless it is absolutely necessary Captain do I make myself clear?" Celestia said in a stern motherly tone.
The Captain relayed the orders to his troops and they took off in different directions into the Everfree Forest to Observe as ordered.
When Alone Celestia tilted her head." You are a strange creature Greg the Indominus Rex an Apex Predator who is as gentle as a foal but more dangerous than any creature that lives in this world I hope we can meet and maybe I can help you find a place where you truly belong," She said as she spread her wings and took off to help look for the elusive Dinosaur.

I ran that's all I could do just run, run away. After what Rainbow Dash said all I could do was think back to when I was younger and the way I was treated. I was big for my age, not fat mind you just big. In fifth grade, while everyone was about the same height I was a head taller and heavier and like I said not fat but muscle mass. I was very self-conscious about what I looked like and to be honest I did have a hard time keeping up with my class when it came to learning. I wasn't slow mind you, in fact, it was the opposite I was quite brilliant especially when it came to History, Science, and Mathematics. But like I said I had a very hard time growing up you see I came from a very strict military family, ten generations even my brothers and sisters joined. Heck, my mom was a nurse in the Marines. Everyone in the family joined one of the five branches but me, don't get me wrong I love my family and I respect the armed forces but I didn't think it was the right job for me. My mom respected my decision but the General and my siblings thought I was a traitor and voice their opinions about it a lot. In fact, the reason I'm like this is because of the last time I saw or even talked to my family. Lets set the picture shall we a typical day at home my brother and sisters start picking on me with the help of our Father. I was doing everything I could to ignore them that was until my oldest sister who happens to be in Air Force Pararescue took the book I was reading.
"What the hell is this?" She yelled grabbing the book from my hands. "The Tale of the Two Sisters oh my god you read this trash it's a book for babies," She said shaking it in front of me.
"Stop it Jenny and give me back the book it's not mine," I said trying to grab it back from her.
Jenny kept dodging and weaving not letting me have the book the others were no help like always.
"What the Hell is going on in here?" Came the familiar voice of our father as he walked into the room.
Hearing his voice we all stood still until he repeated the question. I stood up and explained what was going on.
"I was reading a book when Jenny stole it from me and refused to give it back," I said knowing he did care about anything a traitor would say.
Taking the book from my sister he looked it over before handing it back to her and with an evil grin ordering her to tear it up saying there is no room in this house for little sissy things. Hearing that all the repressed emotions of being used as a punching bag both figuratively and literally came flooding back. I remembered I pushed past the man I dared call father to get to the book in my sister's hands. Just before I could grab it I felt arms wrap around me and I knew it was him. With a devilish laugh, he ordered her to tear it up. I kept screaming for her to stop that the book wasn't mine. There was silence then the sound of ripping paper and then nothing but the sounds of screams of pain and horror the words Freak and Monster were said over and over. that all ended when I heard the voice of my mother calling me and the feel of her touch on my shoulder.
"Greg, Greg sweetie stop you have to stop please baby," She Yelled getting my attention.
I calmed down and looked around me only to see my father and four brothers and two of my sisters laying on the floor all severely hurt. Before I could ask what happens my mom told me to run get what I could carry and run if I ever felt scared or hurting someone again just run, run and never look back. That's what I did I ran and it looks like I'm doing it again.
Fluttershy was frantically searching for her new friend not hearing the calls from her other friends chasing after her. She would have continued if it was not for Applejack catching her with a lasso and pulling her down to the ground.
"Oh I am terribly sorry if I caused you any trouble," Fluttershy said finally realizing that she was stopped by her friends.
"Ah it's alright there Suagrcube we know Y'all just worried about your friend Greg and all but don't Ya think the big guy can take care of himself?" Applejack asked as she was rolling up her lasso.
"Oh no, you see Greg doesn't know who to take care of himself like this he did have to when he lived back where he came from but that was because of his family," Fluttershy said shaking her head and thinking of how scared her friend could be right now. Seeing as there was no choice Fluttershy told her friends what Greg told her about his life before he came here his family and how he was treated. Unkown to the five friends a sixth figure was listening as well. A certain cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail hearing the life he had shedding silent tears along with the other girls hearing the story.
Hearing this Rainbow felt terrible no she felt worse. For how she talked and what she said to Greg. "Some friend I turned out to be I wouldn't trust one of my oldest friend about somepony because of the way they looked," Rainbow said to herself be fore she took off to look for Greg and apologize for everything.
A low rumbling made me stop. Looking down I heard it again yep my stomach was empty so of course, I would be hungry. Looking around for something to eat I was about to munch on some flowers when I a voice made me stop.
"I must warn you if you are looking for a treat. Those flowers are not safe to eat," The voice said as a cloaked figure emerged from the underbrush.
I looked at the figure and it was a zebra I remembered Fluttershy telling me about her friend that was a zebra now what was her name?
"Please tell me if I may be so bold? Why do you look of the great rulers of old?" She said stepping closer to me.
I shook my head after hearing that. "Wait are you telling me you know about Dinosaurs but how?" I asked her making her look up smiling at me.
"So it is true you are a lord of the past. It is an honor to meet one of you at last," She said clapping her front hooves together before she bowed.
"I don't understand how can you know about me or others like me?" I asked her feeling really confused.
"Please forgive my manners oh great lord of the past I am a humble Shamen by the name of Zecora and to answer you question my kind have held the knowledge of yours for generations. For Zebraca is the cradle of life for all sentient beings and that is where your story comes from. My mother has told me the tales of when the great lords would walk the world watching over the lesser beings protecting them from the darkness and the monsters that lived there." Zecora said as she made her way up a tree to get a better look at me. "But I must confess I have never seen or heard of one such as you may I ask what shall I say when addressing you?"
"Oh, I am sorry but I am an Indominus Rex but you can just call me Greg," I said feeling a little better and forgetting about my hunger that was until my stomach rumbled again.
"It would seem that you have missed a meal. But do not fret it is no big deal," She said making me a little confused again. "For earlier, I had in sight a Hydra carcass that should be just right. The meat smelled fresh so it should be safe to ingest."
After telling me where to go I found it and she was right it was a Hydra but looking at it made me wonder what could have killed it. I mean this thing was bigger than me. I'm a least fifty feet long but this thing was almost two hundred and most of that was necks. Yes necks as in more than one, in fact, it had three heads. But hunger took over and I dug into the first meat I had in some time. Feeling a little a shamed at how I was acting both at eating and the way I was earlier with Rainbow Dash. Why did I run I know that my life was never what you call great but after living with my friend and his parent's thing started to get better some what? I mean I was still picked on by bullies but with people that truly cared about me around it wasn't so bad. But I still don't understand I haven't done that in ten years was it the way she spoke or? My thoughts were cut short by the sound of wings flapping closer to where I was. I looked around to see the cyan pony herself coming over the tops of the trees. She spotted me and started to descend but stopped when she saw the carcass and the blood.
"If you're wondering no I didn't kill it Zecora told me about it so I could get some meat that's all or you going to yell and call me a lying monster?" I said in the most sarcastic tone I could muster.
"I deserve that after everything I said to you heck I even broke a Pinkie Promise so I know I'm in trouble. So look, Greg, I just want to say I'm.." Rainbow started to say before I turned quickly and lunged in her direction growling and baring my teeth.
"I knew it I knew we couldn't trust..." Rainbow yelled before the sound of crunching could be heard. Turing around she finally saw what had happened in my mouth was the body of a large Timberwolf a large dead Timberwolf. "But how why when where?" Was all she could say.
Bitting down I began to eat the wooden wolf and in two gulps it was gone." I saw it behind you and it was about to attack and I knew you wouldn't listen or believe me if I said anything so I just well you know," I said as I turned to leave but stopped when I heard Rainbow Dash speak.
"Thank you and I'm sorry for everything I said before and I really mean it," She said digging her hoof into the ground not looking at me.
"What was that I didn't quite hear you, you'll have to speak up," I said turning around to look at her.
With a huff, Rainbow Dash flapped her wings to fly as high as my head. "You're not going to make this easy for me are you?" She said only to receive a toothy grin from me. "Fine I'm sorry for everything I said and thank you for saving me from the Timberwolf there you happy now,?" She yelled at the top of her lungs.
But before I could answer her there was a gasp. We both turned to see Fluttershy and the others standing there with shocked and worried faces. And before either of us could say anything Rainbow was tackled to the ground by Fluttershy asking her friend all kinds of questions. As that was going on Twilight walked over to me a pony I was hoping to never meet. Princess Celestia, it had to be her let's see horn, wings, white fur, multicolored mane, and tail yep they all checked out it was her alright.
"Greg I would like to introduce you to Princess Celestia Coruler of Equestria," Twilight said as the Princess move closer to me.
"Greeting Greg, it is a pleasure to meet you Twilight and Fluttershy have told me a lot about you," Celestia said in the most soothing voice I ever heard.
"Thank you, your Highness, but can I ask why would you care about a big strange thing like me I'm not special," I said lowering my head.
"Don't you dare say that Greg you are special in so many ways," Fluttershy yelled flying up into my face still holding onto Rainbow Dashat well in her voice a yell.
I sorry Fluttershy I won't say that again," I said taking a step back at her action and having my color change to a bright red.
"Yes, that is true. For one who is as unique as you" Zecora said stepping closer.
"I must admit that I have seen many fossils of Dinosaurs over the years but one like you eludes me may I ask what you are called?" Celestia said stepping closer as well.
"I sorry your Highness but I am not surprised that you never see anything like me before. You see I am what is called an Indominus Rex or Fierce or Untamable King and I am the only one of my kind because I was not born but made in a lab," I said receiving the same look of shock that Fluttershy gave me when we first met and I told her about myself.
So here I was again telling about myself again but this time I gave more details.
Hearing the intelligent part Rainbow started to laugh before everyone looked at her.
"What are you all looking at if he was so intelligent then how come he doesn't know how to hunt?" She said crossing her hooves in a pout.
"She's right I don't know how to hunt and I don't think I could learn besides I'm afraid that it might change me," I said looking at Rainbow Dash.
"Well, in any case, may I welcome you to Equestria Greg the Indominus Rex, " Celestia said as she was trying to keep everypony calm.
Hearing this Pinkie Pie rushed over and grabbed my face with a big smile on her face she took in a deep breath and I still don't know how she jumped that high to reach my head. " Do you know what this means it means I have to throw you a Welcome to Ponyville and Equestria and sorry for being the only one of your kind hope you feel better soon party," She said all in one breath and that is exactly what the banner said word for word from welcome to party all of it.
Needless to say the only ones there were the girls, Zecora, Both Princesses, a few guards, three fillies, and one baby dragon. What do you expect the whole town to roll out the red carpet I'm a giant prehistoric creature. I did get a kick out of showing the fillies Sweetie Belle Apple Bloom and Scootaloo how I changed colors and my camouflaged Spike even said we could honorary bothers seeing as both of us don't have wings. But it wasn't all bad some more ponies did show up not many, mind you but some one group was a gray pegasus mare and her children a darkish pink unicorn and a gray blue little fillies unicorn. I found out their names were Derpy, Amathes Star, and Dinky. But like I said other showed up and some were not happy about me being there and they voiced it loud and clear.
You have to understand that it will take some time before all of Equestria will truly accept you with out being afraid," Luna said to me in a hushed tone and sadden expression.
"I take it you had the same experience, your highness?"I asked her to only receive a nod. "Well, I'm not worried if Dinosaurs live as long here as they did back home then I will probably out live most of them anyway," I said shrugging my shoulders this made Luna smile a bit know I was right.
The Party was great and I was happy to meet and make new friends but then two realizations hit me. The first was I was only in this world there were no others like me and second was where the heck was I going to sleep. That one was answered by Applejack and an old barn at Sweet Apple Acers. So the place to stay part was covered but what about being alone. I have had relationships back home but most only lasted for a few weeks to months nothing serious but if I'm stuck here I got to find someone to be with. Cause I ain't becoming a monk I don't know about any of you but I like the feel smell and taste yes I said taste, of a woman or in this case a female. I know it's going to be really embarrassing to do but maybe I can talk to twilight about it and she can ask princess Celestia and Luna if they can help. All I know is If I am truly go to live here than I will need to truly live.
Deep in the Everfree Forest at the carcass of the Hydra, the sound of wings can be heard. Then the sight of a dragon is seen landing it looks around seeing that some of the body has been eaten the dragon walks up closer and sighs.
This is just perfect it the four of us an hour to bring this thing down," The Dragon said in a very feminine voice. " I was told to watch it but I had to use the little dragonesses room and when I come back a third of it is gone.Oh I just know Triva, Draca, and Kirin are going to kill me for this." the dragoness said lowering her head.
"You got that right Freya mind telling us what happened to our food that thing was supposed to last us a week until estrus started you know how hard it is for us to find a good mate here in pony territory?" Freya's sister asked her.

The four were about to begin eating when the sound of laughter caught their attention. Looking around they sniffed the air and the first scent they caught was pony lots of ponies. Growling to her self Draca couldn't believe that ponies would disturb a dragons kill like this. She was going to say something, when the laughter grew louder looking around a figure, desinded to the ground and the four angry Dragonesses were about to attack when they saw who it was dropping to one knee they each look on as the Princess of the sun moved closer to them.
"It is a pleasure to see the daughters of my dear friend Bahamut are doing well," Celestia said looking up to the four now confused dragonesses.
"You highness it is kind of you to come and visit us but may I ask why have you chosen now to do so?" Draca asked still kneeling.
"I came for two reasons First to apologize for my new friend for eating some of your meal and second to ask if any of you have chosen a mate as of late?" Celestia asked in her motherly tone but in the back of her mind, she was scheming.
"No, your Highness, you were about to head to the dragon lan... Draca didn't fish her sentence because as she was walking closer to Celestia she tripped and fell over. Move to stand up Draca looked to see what tripped her only to realize it was a foot print a big foot print. "By fathers beard look at the size of this print, the Drake must be at least Forty feet tall and sixty feet long," Draca said making her sister come to look at the print.
"That is a close assumption and I would have to say he is about that big but alas he is no Drake," Celestia said with that motherly tone and now a straight face.
"But if it is not a drake then what could it be?" Triva asked sniffing the print getting a mental image of the owner.
"His name is Greg and he is an Indominus Rex the last of the Ancient Lords," Celestia said before raising a hoof to stop them from asking questions. "I will tell you this he lives in Ponyville as a royal guest and if you wish to meet and maybe court him I suggest you get in contact with Spike or Fluttershy for they are the two he trusts the most," Celestia said before she spread her wings and took off back to Canterlot.
The four sisters looked at each other wondering what to do after all if news got out of an Ancient Lord was still alive every dragoness in the world would try to get their claws into him. Now the four of them were just told the greatest discovery ever hell any dragoness would give up her hoard or her fire to even court a lord.
Draca looked at her sisters before she spoke. "Alright father has told us that the Princess is known for playing jokes but I have this feeling she is telling us the truth after all the scent from this track does not smell of dragon. And if it is true that would mean the four of us would not have to find a mate for each of us when we can share. As we all know a Drake likes to have more than one Drakena to mate with so if this male is the same even if he is an Ancient Lord then we have nothing to worry about," Draca said as she and her sisters began to giggle like school girls thinking about a life with a strong and brave mate to give them many many eggs and hatchlings.

"Bless Ya there Greg,"Applejack said as she made her way to the barn door. "Y'all are going to be fine here. I know the barns a little old and all but it'll keep the cold out you'll have some company with Winona seeing as she always likes meeting new folks>" Applejack said as she was about to close the door.
"Goodnight Applejack and thanks again for letting me stay here," I said looking at her with soulful eyes.
Ani't no thanks needed after all you're one of Fluttershy's friends and ya did save Rainbow from that there Timberwolf so that makes you my friend too I reckon," She said tilting her hat back. "Goodnight Greg and don't worry none with the princesses help we're sure to find a place for ya to live in peace," She said smiling as she closed the door making the barn become dark and sort of lonely.
I say sort of is because of a small collie dog that keeps barking at me to let her up on my head so she can sleep with me. Giving in I feel her finding a spot behind my head where she curls up and falls a sleep and I quickly follow her shutting my eyes and entering the realm of dreams.

Yay, It looks like Greg might get some dragoness action that is if they don't mind having a mate with some emotional baggage he's going through. Main Characters has been changed to add dragons and there might be mating references.
The sun rises as a beam of light passes through the curtains of a young fillies room shining its life giving light right into her eyes. With a heavy groan, the filly rolls over, turning to face the wall trying to sleep once more. But sleep would not return to the filly as her bedroom door is forced open and an orange mare walks inside the room.
"Come on Apple Bloom it's time to get up I know schools out for summer vacation but that don't mean you get to stop doing your chores," The orange mare now recognized as Applejack said pulling the blanket off the filly.
"I know but I wish you'd let me sleep just a little longer Applejack," Apple Bloom said as she slowly got out of her bed.
"Well the sooner ya get your chores done the sooner Y'all can go crusading with Y'alls friends now get up," Applejack said as she was leaving the room.
Hearing this Apple Bloom got up quickly and made her way downstairs for breakfast. After a healthy meal with her family, she went out to do her chores, unfortunately, she didn't hear what her sister said about the large guest in the old barn. Otherwise, the screaming and destruction of property could have been avoided.
Let us paint a picture of the events, shall we?
Greg was sleeping peacefully inside the barn Winona had left earlier in the evening when she felt that Applejacks guest was comfortable opting to return to the house to sleep in her own dog bed. The eager filly hurried through her chores finishing all but one in record time the last one being the one she hated the most it involved going into the old barn and fetching the slop bucket for the pigs feed. She couldn't understand why it had to be put in the old scary barn and not in the one by the house. But Applejack explained that even if the washed the bucket every day it would still smell of slop so it had to be put in the old barn. Mind you the place was fine safe and sound but what Apple Bloom didn't like was the old doors never stayed open they would always close on their own.
So every time she went in there it would be dark and spooky. Taking a deep breath Apple Bloom opened the barn door and quickly made her way to where the bucket was hanging. But unlike any other time, the barn door did not shut all the way allowing a small amount of light to seep into the large room. Unkown to Apple Bloom, Greg was resting his head right next to the for mentioned bucket. He had been woken up by the filly when she opened the door due to his predatory eyes he could see clearly in the low light not only that he could smell her scent it was fear. Fear of the dark one Greg knew all too well even as an adult he still felt it the absence of light was just too unsettling. Don't be mistaken for fearing the night that Greg loved seeing the stars watching the phases of the moon but when everything was gone and only the emptiness of black was left Greg felt fear and he hated it.
Staying perfectly still Greg watched as Apple Bloom moved carefully to where the bucket was. Scanning the room the filly had the feeling of being watched this combined with the darkness made it difficult for her to move. As she walked the small amount of light was landing on her back this did not help due to the fact her body was casting a shadow so she chose to step to the side to allow the light to pass her and that's when it happened. Apple Bloom was only a few steps from the bucket when she saw the glimmer of something white. Stepping closer she saw more of them in a row they were long and pointy they looked like teeth. But that's impossible she thought to herself she looked around and there in the beam of light little Apple Bloom saw something that made her blood run cold. It was an eye, an eye of a monster it was big enough she could see her reflection. Greg stayed still his eye fixed to one point but the dry air of the barn was getting to him his eye was starting to itch and the only thing that could help was for him to blink so that's what he did. Apple Bloom looked at her reflection in the eye with silent fear but when the eye blinked she just knew there was nothing that she could do but scream. So taking in lungs full of air the little filly let out the loudest most ear piercing scream that Greg had ever heard. It was so loud that Applejack heard it and she was on the south forty while the barn was on the opposite side of the farm.
You know when you're watching a horror movie and it has jump scares you know there's going to be one coming and you're ready for it but when it comes you still jump. Well, that's what happened to Greg he knew the filly was going to scream but he wasn't ready for one of that magnitude. It startled him so much Greg stood up not like he would in his new body but as a human straight up. Doing this his head ripped through the roof of the barn and caused the building's stability to weaken to the point that it began to clasps. Quickly reacting Greg scoops up the still screaming filly in his large clawed hands and shields her as he tries to make his way out of the collapsing building. only to be stuck as the thing falls down on top of him. Applejack and her brother Big Mac alerted by the scream made their way to the barn to see it lay in rubble. Panic strikes them as there is no sight of their little sister or Greg. Then the sound of grunting can be heard as the debris begins to shift and with a roar, Greg emerges but no sign of Apple Bloom.
Greg steps out of the mess with his hands clasped around something and a muffled sound can be heard coming from them. Stepping over to Applejack Greg leans down and places his hands onto the ground slowly opening them to reveal a still screaming Apple Bloom. Surprised Greg closes his hands muffling the screams then opening them for the sound to intensify once again looking at his hands Greg chuckled to himself before looking at Applejack. Repeating the process of closing and opening his hands three times Applejack and Big Macintosh both understood what he saw was funny. But play time was over setting Apple Bloom down on the ground Greg stepped away to allow the mare and stallion to take care of the filly.
After calling her name the young filly finally stopped screaming and just passed out. Big Mac picked up his little sister and put her on his back and headed to the house leaving Greg and Applejack behind to just look at the pile of wood that was once a barn.
"I'm really sorry about this Applejack I didn't mean to destroy your barn," I said looking, from the mess to the orange mare.
"Ah, shoot don't worry none sugarcube it was old, I'm just glad that you and Apple Bloom are safe and thanks for saving her by the way," Applejack said taking off her hat to look up at me.
"Well, I guess I should start cleaning this up?" I said as I moved over to grab some of the broken lumber.
"Now hold on there," Applejack said placing a hoof on my foot. "How 'bout we get you something to eat first do want ta start working on an empty stomach now do ya'?"
The mention of food made my stomach rumble which in turn caused my scales to turn red making Applejack laugh. We were about to head over to the other barn when four loud thuds were heard behind us. Turning around both of us stared in shock at what we saw standing there were four, well dragons each one about two-thirds my height but still there were four of them.
We watched as the ashy gray one stepped forward baring its teeth and claws growling at us or just me. Seeing this I could only think that they were looking for a fight. But I couldn't do it not here Applejack might get hurt or some other pony or animal. So turning I used my tail like a club and swung it striking the four knocking them down before I began to run away. I know it sounds like a coward to run but I saw a clearing in the distance and figured that it would be safer there to fight. The thing was I only got a few steps away when I heard the dragons speak.
"Ow, what in Celestia's name was that for?" One of the dragons asked in a feminine voice it was golden brown.
"Yeah, what happened Draca didn't you do the mating call correctly?' Another one of the dragons asked this one green as it tried to stand on wobbly legs.
"Maybe because he's an Ancient Lord their calls are different than dragons?" The ashy gray one now known as Draca said standing up and helping the one next to her up.
"Well, whatever just look at him he's perfect and did you see he can change colors and that tail was like getting hit by a boulder," The last one said standing up this one was light blue.
Hearing all of this I stopped and turned around slowly walking back over to them I looked down to see Applejack still standing there.
"What do you think they're talking about?" I asked leaning down to whisper in the mare's ear.
Applejack just started to laugh which made me look at her. "Sugarcube you haven't been around Mare or dragonesses much have ya?" She asked to which I shook my head no. "Well they're acting like four love-struck fillies who found their special somepony and want to settle down and start a family,"
I stood back up in shock at what she just said then I looked at the four dragons in front of me. They all looked slender and did have some curves in certain places even their colors and voices did sound kind of cute. But did they all want to be with me, me the big softy the one who would rather talk or walk away from a fight? I began to walk over to them to apologize for earlier and ask if it was true about what Applejack said when I tripped over my own feet and fell to the ground where everything went black.
"I can't believe it after Celestia told us about him and spending all night looking for that pony Fluttershy and she wouldn't even open her door to talk to us but when she found out we were looking for this Greg character she finally told us where to find him and when he finds out we want to be his mates he knocks himself out," Draca said as she shook her head looking down at the form before her and her sisters.
I don't know how long I was out but I did have this weird dream. It was about these four dragons or is it dragonesses since they were all female.
So they showed up and Applejack said they wanted to be my mates and have kids but that's impossible right?" I said to myself.
"Why would it be impossible Greg after all you are very nice looking for a large reptilian Alpha Apex Predator," A voice said in the blackness of space.
"What, wait who are you?" I asked looking around.
In a flash of light before me hovered an alicorn with dark blue fur and a mane and tail that looked like they had stars in them. Princess Luna, I recognized her immediately after all she is one of my favorite ponies. I blinked a few times in amazement she was beautiful in every way a perfect twenty. She began to blush slightly from the way I was staring.
"Now, now Greg I said you were nice looking but I didn't mean that we should be dating besides I think those four would get jealous don't you?" Luna said making an image of the four dragons appear.
I looked from her to the image and finally got a good look at them and I'd have to say they looked like dinosaurs. Well, sort of, minus the leathery wings, spines down their necks and backs, and the ability to breathe fire. They were actually really cute. I felt myself blushing and Luna's giggles confirmed it and made it intensify.
"What happened where are we?" I asked turning from the image to look at the Night Princess.
"We are in your dream world and I must say it is quite a treat to see the dreams of an Ancient Lord," She said as she floated around me.
I was about to ask what she meant when I saw the blackness around me was gone and filled with what I could only describe as a woodland savanna with a mountain range in the distance. It almost looked like what earth did during the time of the dinosaurs except the place had grass growing.
But the sounds that could be heard were not from modern time. In fact, it sounded otherworldly or at least prehistoric.
For some reason, I felt at home like I truly belonged here Luna saw this too and said nothing. I started to walk around listening to the sounds and every so often sniffing the air. I didn't go far from where I was behind me stood a line of trees in a semicircle with a thick canopy covering half of the center in shade. The base of the trees had a massive tangle of thorn bushes wrapped around them making a natural wall only having one opening. I continue to look around this safe place had enough cover above as well as around leaving the opening just big enough for me to slip through a perfect place to raise a family.
Wait why did I think that?
Greg, may I ask what these are?" Luna asked me breaking me out of my thoughts.

Each one was set apart just enough for me to move around them without trouble. Inside each nest rested six eggs each but these eggs looked different than normal dino eggs they were larger and different colors what also was strange was they were not smooth but looked as if they were covered scales. the colors were green silvery white and black and red. I moved closer to a nest and sniffed it when I did I bumped and egg making it move slightly. Then, I heard the chirping of a baby from inside the egg.
"Do you know what these are Greg?" Luna asked as she stepped to the side of the nest.
"They're nest Dinosaur nests but these eggs don't look right," I said turning to look at her.
Looking at the eggs Luna's eyes grew with shock. "Oh, my it seems that these are dragon eggs and it appears there is four nest for four lucky Drakena," She said looking from the eggs to me. "May I ask have you ever seen dragon eggs before?"
"No, I haven't is there a problem with them?" I asked a little scared.
"No no, they are perfectly fine but what troubles me is if you have never seen eggs like this then how could you make them so precise in the dream world...," Luna was saying until she lights up her horn and a few second later the light disappears and she looks a little concerned. "I think it is best if we get you back to the waking world don't you agree?" She says again lighting her horn.
I begin to open my eyes groaning from the light and the feeling of pain.
"Why was I in pain again, oh yeah I fell down knocking myself out. Then, I was dreaming about something, now what was it again?" I asked myself as I finally opened my eyes only to come eye to muzzle with the screaming terror from this morning.
I adjusted myself when I saw her smiling at me. "I'm really sorry about this morning Applejack told me about ya but I reckon I didn't listen," She said as she scuffed the ground with her hoof.
"That's alright I'm just glad you didn't get hurt," I said smiling a little as I got to my feet.
"Wow you're tall," A unicorn filly said leaning way back to look at me.
I looked down and standing next to Apple Bloom were two more fillies one a unicorn and the other a pegasi. The winged one was orange in color with a purple mane and tail while the horn head was white and her mane and tail had purple, pink, and light purple stripes. I leaned back down placing my head on the ground. Looking from one filly to the next I thought of a way to show them I wasn't a bad guy.
Say would any of you like to see the world from the top of a dinosaurs head?" I asked getting a confused look from all three of them until Applejack explained it to them.
In the blink of an eye, all three were sitting comfortably on top of my head as I stood to my full height.
"Wow, this is awesome I can see town hall from here," The orange filly Scootaloo said.
"I can see my sisters boutique," The white filly Sweetie Belle said giggling.
I was going to start walking around until I remembered about the four dragons. I turned to look at them only to see them staring at me with smiles on their faces or is it a muzzle. I started to get a little embarrassed at how they were looking at me with lovey-dovey eyes.
"Um, h hello," I said trying to sound confident even though I was scared to death.
"Hehehe, That's so cute how he treats these fillies," The emerald green dragoness said as the three fillies on my head were still looking around in wonder. " Drakes these days would never do that not even with their own hatchlings,"
"Ohhh, girls, we found the perfect guy he's strong, smart, kinda bit clumsy but he's great with little ones," Another one of the dragonesses said clasping her hands or claws together.
I raise an eyebrow at what she said and decided to find out what they were talking about.
"Um, may I ask what you are talking about oh my name is Greg by the way?" I said as I extended a hand out to her for a shake.
The ashy gray one I think her name was Draca or something was the first to take my offered hand and shook it. "Yes we know who you are and that you're the last of the Ancient Lords," She said blushing as I held her hand claw thing I'm just going to call the claws from now on.
"How do you know who I am?" I asked still holding her claw.
"Princess Celestia told us. She also told us you were single and since the four of us are sisters and we don't mind sharing we thought that since estrus is close by that maybe you wouldn't mind taking all four of us as you mates to start you own harem and we get to have a strong mate that could protect us and our hatchlings," She said letting go of my claw to stand next to her sisters.
"Um, would it be alright if I think ab out this for a little while?"I asked before I turned around and started to walk away not waiting for a response still with the three fillies on my head.
Luckily they weren't listening to the conversation but now all they cared about was the ride they were getting. As I walked the fillies would ask me questions knowing I should think about what was happening I opted to just humor the girls.
How fast can you run, can you breathe fire like Spike, is it true you can turn invisible were some of the questions they would ask me. Being the kind of guy I was I'd answer as many of them as best I could.
"Well if I remember correctly I think it's about sixty to seventy miles per hour, And no I can't because I'm a dinosaur, not a dragon," I said only to activate camouflage having the three of them gasp in shock seeing that now they were riding on an invisible dinosaur.
"That is awesome you were born like that," Scootaloo said as I deactivated it.
"Actually I wasn't really born you see I was made in a lab and hatched from an ostrich egg," I said stopping and lowering down so the three of them could get off my head. " I not even really a dinosaur just a Hodge-podge of DNA to make a new attraction for a theme park," I said laying down on the ground with a thud.
"What do you mean made don't you don't have a mom or dad?" Sweetie Belle asked with a sad look.
I just shook my head no I wasn't going to consider those people as my family not anymore.
"Wow, that sucks," Scootaloo said only to get hit in the back of the head by Apple Bloom.
"It's ok I don't mind because now I can have anybody or pony as family like you three," I said making Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle hug my face.
I looked over to see Scootaloo standing there trying to look tuff so I reach out with my claw and pulled her into the hug. After our little moment, my thoughts went back to what the dragon's had said.
"Say, girls, can I ask you something?" I said getting them to look at me. You see I have a problem and I thought maybe you girls could help me out."
So for the next hour, I told them what happened and got their input on the matter. We talked asking and answering questions until we came to a decision. Having them climb back onto my head we started back to the farm only for me to stop. It seemed that due to the length of my strides we kind of got lost, I kind of got lost. I found out from the girls we were near a place called Whitetail Woods and Sweet Apple Acers was a two hour trot away. I decided to have a little fun.
"Girls, I want you to hold on real tight cause we're going to see just how fast I can run," I said as I felt the thre of them shift and hold tighter to me.
With that, I let out a roar and took off at a full run all the while hearing cheers from two of the three fillies it seemed Sweetie Belle had her eyes closed for most of the ride. She only opened them when I called for her to see what Ponyville looked like after that she cheered like the others. Our little stunt was causing some of the townsfolk to panic but I didn't care I was having fun real fun. We made good time and reached the farm in only ten minutes. When we reached the main gate I slowed down to catch my breath and make sure I didn't break anything or scare somepony. I, we walked up to see Fluttershy, Twilight, and Spike had shown up what was funny to the four of us was Spike. See when Twilight and he showed up the drakena saw him and scooped him up to baby him saying stuff like how cute he was and other embarrassing things for a young Drake to hear.
Seeing his pain I cleared my throat to get their attention as everyone turned to look at me I spoke. " First, could you put my little brother down he's too old to be treated like a baby," I said as I watched them put Spike down for him to mouth thank you to me. Second, I have had some time to think and talk over everything with the girls and we've come to a decision.
Hearing this the four drakena all perked up.
I raised my claw to stop them from speaking. There are some conditions that must be met before anything can happen between the five of us," I said motioning them to all sit down.
I waited for a second before I spoke. "Girls that's your cue," I said to Sweetie Scootaloo and Apple Bloom.
Apple Bloom was the first to speak. "Condition one seein' as Ponyville is the only place Greg knows we all decided that this is where Y'all can live.
"Second condition since there is barely any information on dragons and none on dinosaurs all of you will help with that by speaking with Twilight and Fluttershy," Sweetie Belle said in her nerves squeaky voice.
"Is there anything else?" Draca said as the others watched as Twilight was bouncing around happily after hearing the news.
"Yes, there is," Scootaloo said as it was her turn to speak. "The third thing Greg told us is that he considered Spike his brother and the three of us his sisters so that means we get to help name the hatchlings and also get to babysit them too," She said nodding and smiling that she remembered everything she was to say.
"The last condition is quite simple," I said looking at the four drakena. " Just like Apple Bloom said we will stay near Ponyville but I will be the one to chose where we will nest,"
Draca stepped up looking at the three fillies that were still sitting on my head before looking at me. "Very well we expect but I have one condition of my own," She said as I looked at her. "Could you do that color thing again?' She asked fidgeting with her claws.
I smiled lowering down so the fillies could jump off my head grumbling the whole time of losing their new favorite spot before I stood back up. I looked at each of them and then consecrating I changed to match their colors. This caused them to blush which made me blush as well only their cheeks turned red when my whole body changed.
We talked for hours about our lives I found out that their father was old friends with Celestia. Speaking of the troll she showed up with her sister Luna you know the nice one. I'm not very happy about what she did, I mean come on playing matchmaker hell that's Cadance's job even I know that. While the dragon girls were talking with Twilight, Celestia and Luna pulled me to the side.
Now, Greg, I know that you not happy about what my sister had done to you. But you must understand Ancient Lords like yourself, do not exist in Equestria or any other lands," Luna said which made me look a little shocked. " Tis true you are the first to be seen in over five hundred years if Celestia's memory is accurate," Luna said smirking at her sister.
"Hey, my mind is as sharp as ever dear sister," Celestia said smiling at Luna.
"You mean I'm the only one, there are no other dinosaurs left anywhere?" I asked getting a little afraid.
"Alas it is true there are no others, my friend," Luna said lowering her head sadden by what she said.
"Then whats the point?' I said getting everyone's attention. "Why tell me this when there's nothing that can be done?" I yelled.
"Greg, calm your self and tell us what is wrong," Luna said.
"I believe I understand what is troubling him,"Draca said as she and the others moved closer to me. "It is true you are the last of the dinosaurs and it hurts all of us to know this," She said gesturing to herself and her sisters. "I guess you didn't know that the first clutch of eggs we lay will be born like you and after that, the rest will be a mixer of both of us," Draca said making herself and the others blush talking about laying eggs in public.
"You mean um, that um, our first um, hatchlings will be...?" I started to say before Spike blurted out. "Your first kids will be dinosaurs and after that, the rest will be dinodragons sheesh how hard is it to say that?"
"Spike!!" Twilight screamed.
"What, oh come on Twilight they're all grownups and they're acting more childish than me and I'm still a baby dragon," He said crossing his arms with a huff.
"You're right Spike we were and we should apologize thank you for pointing that out little brother," I said lowering down to nudge him.
Taking Spikes advice we decided to be more mature about all of this and not talk about it anymore so we just talked about other things. They told me more about the Dragonlands and their father it seems they couldn't remember their mother as she died before they hatched and Bahamut never took another mate because he loved their mother so much no other could compare to her. I found out that is the purest form of dragons greed and one of the only ones that won't make a dragon grow big. That aside I found out that each of them had their own personality. Draca was smart and honest while Kirin liked to look at the bright side of things. Triva was shyer than the others and Freya was the most outgoing being the first to show me affection with a cheek rub and purr. So the four of them were like my pony friends but being dragons instead. Our time together was going to have to end soon as the time was getting late. Triva surprised me when she suggested that they stay the night seeing as they never had a real place to sleep in the forest. I was about to point out that the barn was destroyed but flashes of gold, blue, and purple light changed that as I looked to see Twilight, Celestia, and Luna all standing there with smiles on their faces and a rebuilt barn.
"Okay, I guess since you three really want us to get along we might as well try it," I said as I opened the large barn doors and seeing that the inside looked bigger than normal.
"Greg, would it be alright if me and the Crusaders spend the night with you and the others?" Apple Bloom asked looking at me with those big puppy dog eyes.
"I don't see why not, after all, you are his little sisters," Draca said as she crawled into the barn. "Besides this will give us a chance to practice sleeping with our hatchlings when we have them."
I started to blush again as the others made their way into the barn. I followed suit and entered the barn to see Draca and the others make a tight circle around the fillies creating a protective barrier. I moved and laid down doing the same surrounding them all with my tail coming back my head.
"It looks like it time to say goodnight and have pleasant dreams to all of you," Celestia and Luna said before they took off into the sky.
Within minutes everyone in the barn was fast asleep except for me. I watched over them only to see movement and recognizing Spike as he slowly crawled over the girls to get into the center of the circle to cuddle up with the fillies and fall asleep as well.
"I guess he never had other dragons to sleep with being raised by ponies and seeing how safe they all feel maybe he wants to know what it's like ?" I thought to myself before sleep came to me also.
In the sky above the alicorn, Princesses made their way back to Canterlot.
"It is wonderful to see that the Ancient Lords will not be excited do you not agree sister?" Luna asked as she flew next to Celestia.
"Yes Lulu but it is also wonderful that we now have the most powerful ally in all of Equis living in our lands along with the daughters of our oldest friend as his mates," Celestia said looking to her sister.
"Please tell me you are not thinking of using him as a weapon sister for he may be powerful but his heart is as gentle as the Kindness herself if not more so," Luna said looking a little worried.
Celestia did not answer her sister which made Luna only worry more as she thought back to the Dreamworld and what she saw.
"Sister, I only hope you know what you are doing for what I had seen of his true past that young man is deeply scared and if pushed too far our greatest ally might become our worst enemy ," Luna thought to herself as the both of them began to descend to the castle.

When morning came Greg was the first to awaken lifting his head he looked at the sleeping forms of the others internally smiling he just wanted to stay there until everyone would wake up greeting each of them. But unfortunately, his bladder had other ideas getting up was a little difficult due to the fact that the drakena all chose to lay on him because of his high body heat. Taking great care he moved all of them off with some sleeping grumbles of protests finally free Greg quietly made his way outside. Feeling the cool of the morning as the sun started to rise over the horizon Greg shook himself fully awake.
"Man, this is nice and all but I really got to go," He said to himself feeling the pressure building.
Hurrying along Greg made his way to the forest the rest next to the apple orchard. Stepping over the fence he made his way inside the forest only stopping when he knew he was far enough away. Taking one last look around to make sure he was alone before he squatted down and let nature take its course. Doing his business he looked over to see a Timberwolf step out of the bushes only to sniff the air and hide its nose in the ground before turning and running off.
"I don't know what you're complaining about you smells like a rotting skunk carcass in a compost heap?" Greg yelled at the retreating wolf.
After he was done Greg stood up and turned to leave but then he saw what he was leaving behind and he could only say one thing.

Heading back to the Apple family farm Greg caught the smell of something that made his mouth water the scent of live prey. Activating camouflage he slowly and carefully crept closer to the scent. Looking over the bushes that separated him from the smell Greg looked down to see a large flock or group of Cockatrice but there was something of about this group for one they were larger than the one he saw when he first arrived. Then it hit him they were roosters strutting for dominance. Deciding to wait and see who would be the cock of the walk so to speak Greg stood there absolutely still and watched as one after the other tried and failed to take over from this large one the size of it was about as tall as Celestia. He watched as they would face off staring down one another and the loser would be turned to stone temporarily. After the contest, the victors would all leave in the direction of the hens more than likely and the losers stayed put. Knowing it was now or never Greg moved in still in camouflage he crept closer to them until he was only a step or two away. Dropping Camouflage he let out a low roar which surprised his prey giving him enough time to attack. Reaching down with his claws he pinned two of them to the ground adding some weight until he felt bone break as he did this he opened his mouth and snatched three of them biting down killing them. Some of the Cockatrice tried to fight back but a well-placed tail swing or a stomp of his feet changed that. All in all, out of the fifty or sixty that were there only twelve managed to get away the rest laid dead or dying around him.
Greg stood there and looked at what he had done he started to shake in fear thinking that he let a monster loose if it did this then it would hurt Fluttershy and all of his friends. But logic hit him it wasn't a monster he wasn't going to turn into a heartless killing machine it was what needed to be done he now had mates to take care of a family that needed food. These things didn't talk like the ponies so it was ok they were just dumb animals prey for him to hunt. After thinking it through logically he knew he was right deep down he knew he would never attack or kill any creature that was sentient or that could speak unless they would cause harm to him or his friends and family then all bets were off. Looking once again Greg felt proud at what he had done he had hunted for the first time and was able to gather so much at one time most of them were the size of Big Mac. He went around gathering up his catch making sure to quickly end the lives of those suffering, with a chomp to the head then he would pile them up. He was about to begin eating when the idea of surprising the girls hit him.
"Ok now how am I going to get them here to eat I can't leave or some other predator will get all of this ?" Greg thought to himself then an idea hit him he's part raptor maybe he could use their calls.
Greg closed his eyes and took a deep breath then he threw his head back and let out the call.
He waited but didn't hear any reply and was going to try again until the sound of large wings flapping caught his attention. Looking up to the sky Greg could see all four Darkena coming into land.
" We heard your call what happen are you hurt?" Freya asked coming over to look Greg over.
"What, no I'm fine I was calling for you to come and eat I got us a meal," Greg said shaking his head as he moved to the side to show the pile of fresh meat.
The sisters all blushed at this seeing as when a Drake wants to court a female he would bring her something he killed as a sign that he can provide for her and they're young. But what Greg did was something no dragon would ever think of doing there in a pile was over thirty cockatrice roosters. The hens are fine because all they can do is that turning to stone thing but the males are venomous one bite can put a full-grown dragon out of action for a few days. Here is their mate, with not a scratch on him standing next to a pile of the only creature that even the DragonLord would steer clear of.
"Sisters, I will say this, our Greg is truly amazing with this we will not need to hunt or feed for a week," Draca said as she walked up to Greg and kissed his cheek.
The others followed and kissed him also before going over to feast on one or more of the deadliest creatures in Equestria. Greg sighed deeply before joining them. Stepping up to the pile he opened his mouth and lifted a whole bird thing into it taking three to four chops before swallowing the mouthful.
Triva looked at him in shock still holding the bird with only a quarter of it eaten before shrugging her shoulders.
"Um, what happened to Spike and the CMC?" I asked the girls as they sat around the food eating.
"They stayed at the barn when we heard your call they wanted to come but, we thought it could be dangerous if you like we could go get them?" Kirin asked as she was about to put down her third bird.
"No, it's fine in fact I think it would b best for them not to see this well not until they're older," I said waving a claw to them.
Draca did decide to fly back and tell them that we were going to stay out here for a while to get to know each other better. I had no problem with that but I felt something was off but not in a bad way, in fact, it was really nice especially the smell of all four of them.
"Wait what am I thinking why do I care that they smell like fresh baked cookies or a field of flowers and oh sweet Celestia they're in heat and I'm getting horny." I thought to myself only to hear a strange voice.
Greg will be blue and the voice will be brown.

The base of the trees had a massive tangle of thorn bushes wrapped around them making a natural wall only having one opening. looking around it had enough cover above as well as around leaving the opening just big enough for me to slip through it was the perfect place to raise a family. But why did this place feel so right and why would I think of it. I closed my eyes and thought back to why did this place look so familiar and then it hit me my dream this place was in my dream.
"Draca could one of you fly up and see how far we are from Ponyville?" I asked as Triva took off only to return.
Triva pointed to her left "We are four miles away if you follow this trail it will take you straight there,"
" Why did you want to know that?" She asked looking at me while tilting her head.
I looked up to the sky and could see that the sun was setting and it would be too dark to travel the forest safely so I turned and enter the place in my dreams.
"I was just wondering since it's too late to head back now we might as well stay here for the night or forever and start our family," I said making all of them look at me.
I'm sorry but I don't think we heard that last part could you repeat it?" Draca said stepping closer to me.
"I said We could start our family if you want to?"
"What did he say he's going to have to speak up," Kirin said as all of them stepped closer.
Closing my eye I took a deep breath then something amazing happened music there was music. I looked at each of them and knew it so turning around I walked inside our new home stopping in the center and I began to sing.

During this, each of them blushed and also entered what is now our home and lowered themselves down while they raised their tales out of the way reading themselves for what was to happen. So taking the initiative I moved to Draca first seeing as she was the eldest and began our mating. I turn to look and see the Indominus Rex standing there not moving it looked like a statue. I walked around it admiring the sheer size and power it had.
"I don't understand what's going on?" I said looking at Luna.
"As I said this is a dream but this kind of dream is where the aspects of the mind are allowed to explore on their own. She said looking from me the I. Rex. " But it seems that you are the only aspect that exists this is quite strange."
"Why is it strange haven't you seen others like this," I asked while gesturing to me being the only other one there.
"No, and that is what troubles me you see all minds possess four aspects the good, evil, logic, and instinct. Yet you are the only one present. May I ask to which aspect you belong to?" Luna asked stepping closer to me.
I was about to say something when the sound of laughter could be heard. It wasn't the funny kind but the evil one you know like Mawhahahahaha Mawhahahahah and every time there was laughter thunder and lightning happened. Luna and I turned to look in the direction of the laughter to see the silhouette of an imposing figure with a sword. We watched as it moved closer only to realize that the figure wasn't growing but was shirking. when out of the darkness stepped the evil or as I like to call him Chibi me. Not joking the guy was a foot and a half tall he was my polar opposite in every way. I have short black hair his was white and long. I wear lighter colored clothes he's dressed in black. I stand there unarmed he is brandishing a Nerf Sword. "Hey, why aren't you cowering in fear for I am evil Greg?" Chibi me said as he walked over to Luna and I.
Before I could say anything Luna Squeed and picked up the little guy hugging him. "Oh aren't you the cutest thing," She said holding him like a baby only for him to look at me for help.
"Luna, I think it would be a good idea to put evil down it's kind of embarrassing," I said looking at the Moon Princess.
"Fine but he's just so cute," She said pouting as she put him down.
"Next time you do that I will cleave your head from your body," Evil said pointing the nerf sword at Luna.
"Now, now Evil there is no reason to threaten our guest, after all, we are in the presets of royalty," A voice said making its self know.
I had to do a double-take at what I saw. It was a man-size Indominus Rex wearing a tie with a monocle and carrying a pipe. The dino made its way over to us every so often taking a puff from the pipe.
"Ah, you must be logic it is nice to meet you?" Luna said stepping up to greet the new arrival.
The Dino bowed low before rising to look the Princess in the eyes. "Alas no your Highness I am not logic but Instinct for you see since our arrival to this world Logic has not been its self as of late," Instinct said showing us a form in a full-body cast.
"Yeah you should have seen it, the guy couldn't take it with everything going on but mostly with that pink fourth wall breaker so he rage quit and picked a fight with the emotions, and let's just say this love and lust are one hell of a tag team," Evil said as he started to laugh.
"So let me get this straight Your evil and your instinct?" I said pointing to the two as they both nodded and if that is logic then what am I?" I said raising my hands into the air.
"My good man, you must calm yourself," Instinct said taking a puff from his pipe.
"Yeah dude, chillax no need to blow a gasket," Evil said waving his hands in the air. " Now, you may think that you're good but you're not, you are the remainders of Humanity."
"What my diminutive friend here means is you are the soul well half of it," Instinct said stepping closer. " What I mean is you are the masculine half and the feminine half is sleeping right now she will only awaken when you turn female."
"I do not understand what do you mean when he turns female how is that possible?" Luna said stepping closer to me.
"Remember when I said that I was genetically created?" I asked her and she nodded. "Well, the ones that made mean had to use frog DNA to fill in the missing pieces and there are certain frogs that can change their sex from male to female or vice-versa if the population is more one-sided."
"That is amazing I wonder if that could be used with ponies as our ratio is One to Six in favor of mares?" Luna asked thinking about how to help her ponies.
"Hell instead of messing with their genes why not look for a spell to turn them into Hermaphrodites you know make them stallion and mare that way they can.... Luna wasn't listening to him, in fact, she was just standing there with a gleam in her eye I was going to get her attention when I felt the world around me begin to shift. Everything around me was becoming distorted as a wall of white engulfed me. Seconds later I opened my eyes to be greeted by the sight of my four drakena mates looking down at me.
Good morning ladies," I said as I started to stand up only to have Draca stop me.
"Now, Greg I know you want to help us with everything but there are some things that only females can do," She said giggling which only made me look at her puzzled.
"What are you talking about?" I asked when movement caught my eye. I turned to look and see the other's busy building nests. "Wait why are you building them now it's not like you already to lay..." I said as I saw Draca move over to one of the nests straddling it.
I got up and moved over closer to them to watch as the others also straddled their nest and with content faces began to lay their clutches of eggs. Staring in amazement as one football-sized egg was deposited into each nest at a time. When it was done they each laid six eggs each ranging from green, silvery-white, and some black with red splotches. They also looked like they were covered in scales seeing all of it I remembered seeing this before in my dreams but that dream felt sad like something was missing but I couldn't quite tell what it was. After their ordeal, I went to each one and kissed her showing them that I do love them for their hard work in bringing our young into this world. Stepping back I looked around and nodded my head.
"This is our home and here we will have a rookery that will put the Dragon lands to shame," I said looking at my four beautiful mates and mothers of my hatchlings.
I felt something light hit my head looking up I saw clouds rolling in. A storm was coming and I knew the girls would be too tired to move from the nests if it started raining. So thinking fast I looked out side of our home and saw large ferns going out there I began grabbing them with my claws and mouth making sure not to swallow any due to them being poisonous. I then carried back inside to each nest with my mouth full I couldn't speak so I had to shove Triva off her nest. She was about to protest when she saw me lay the ferns down over the eggs covering them from the weather and potential egg thieves.
"The canopy above us with the ferns will keep the eggs safe and dry," I said after my mouth was emptied. And best parts are these ferns give off heat consistently and picking them also clears up any blind spots out side," I said pointing to the now open area.
I repeated the process for the others and even grabbed large ferns to use as covers for them. Thanking me for the gifts Draca, Triva, Kirin, and Freya all kissed me as I covered each of them. Seeing that they were safe and dry I went to do my duty of protecting my family. Moving over to the opening I lowered down so I was comfortable but still able to move quickly. I began scanning the area for threats using my senses to their highest. I could hear as a family of Manticores ran for cover from the rain and I could smell a dragon. No four of them and their close just beyond the trees my eyes focused on them and I saw they were not much older than Spike. I looked directly at them giving off a vibe that said I will kill you if you don't leave now. With that, they all took off and I was hoping that was the last I saw of them.
Dragons POV
"Gable, do you see what we see?" A pink colored dragon whispered.
"Shut up dingus or it'll hear us," The one called Garble said snapping at the pink-colored dragon.
"Come on I thought we were going to bug that pony-loving freak Spike not spy on a Drake and his mates?" A brown fat dragon said crossing its arms.
"Does that look like a drake to you shell for brains?" Garble said pointing at Greg as he was gathering up ferns.
"Well it doesn't matter what it is because it knows we're here look," The pink one said pointing towards Greg as he stared at the young dragons making all of them cower in fear.
"Come on let's get back to the DragonLands and tell Fire Lord Scorch about this," Garble said as he took off into the sky followed by the others.
Gregs POV
"Good, they're gone I don't know why but I just felt if they would have stayed any longer I would have done something to them that would have been unpleasant. Now after the rain stops, I go out and get some food for us all. " I thought to myself.
I readjusted myself only to pick up a very familiar scent turning my head I looked to see Spike standing off in the distance carrying an umbrella. He just stood there looking at me with sad but curious eyes.
"Hey, Spike come on over I want you to meet them," I said to the little dragon. "Come on it's alright," I said waving my claw to him.
Seeing this he smiled as he made his way over to me we greeted each other with a head nudge and fist bump before I took him over to the girls and the nests. The girls carefully uncovered each nest to show Spike the precise treasures within them.
"Wow, so this is your family/" Spike asked as he gently touched each egg.
" No this is our family Spike because you are a part of it as well remember?" Draca said as she nuzzled Spike which the others did as well making Spike blush.
After thinking for a moment Spike smiled. "Yeah you're right I guess when the hatch I'll be call Uncle Spike," He said smiling making the girls giggle.
"Whatever you say, Uncle Spike," I said before I started talking in a serious tone. But I want to ask something of you something very important," I said making him look at me. "Now what I'm about to say may sound weird and scary to you but I wouldn't ask if I didn't have faith in you,"
'Sure what ever it is I'll do it you have my word as a dragon," Spike said standing as tall as he could.
"If anything happens to me or the girls I want you to promise that you will help raise the hatchlings as if they were your own," I said making Spike fall on his butt in shock. "Well what do you say, Spike, will you do this for me for us?"
Spike just sat there before standing back up looking at the girls then at me and then the eggs he smiled shaking his head yes.
"Thank you, Spike," I said as Draca and the others picked him up and each gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Now that, that is settled can I ask why you came out here while it was raining?" I asked for Spike to jump down from Triva arms and run over to the opening to pull in a cart full of gems.
"Well, I was going to give you guys this yesterday but I forgot so I figured I do it today but when I got here it started raining, and then..." Spike said before I raised my claw to him.
"I think I get it and thank you, Spike, for this and how about you and the girls enjoy your treat and after the rain stops I take you back to Twilights that way you and I can talk some more?" I said as Spike just turned and dove into the cart to come up with a mouth full of gems looking like they were his teeth.
I smiled as I watched the young Drake and four Drakena mothers sitting around the cart eating the gems like you would a bowl of M&Ms or popcorn.
True to my word when it stopped raining I carried Spike back to Twilights place but unfortunately Spike fell asleep so there was nothing we could talk about. Well, maybe next time.

"I am sorry Luna but I will not help you turn some of our mare population into Hermaphrodites even if we were on the verge of extinction," Celestia said looking at her sister with a little concern.
Why not what wrong with it, if it saves our ponies I say we at least try besides I've seen how you been eyeing your Aid Quick Quill now just picture her or you or both with a hefty stallions member, oh the fun you two could have," Luna said nudging her sister.
Celestia was about to say something when the mare in question entered the throne room to drop off some more paperwork after finishing that she turned to leave only to stop and bend over to pick up a piece of paper. Giving Celestia a perfect view of the mare's sexy bits before leaving the room. Licking her lips at the site Celestia turned to look at her sister who was sporting a devilish grin.
"Maybe we could talk about this idea of yours a little more and perhaps we could try a few experiments just to see if it is plausible," Celestia said as she shifted in her seat giving off the scent of a lust-filled mare.
"Sure Tai what ever you say," Luna said as she left the room with a triumphant smile on her face until a thought entered her mind. " I wonder if Twilight Sparkle would like to help with this experiment, in fact, I wonder what it would feel like to pound that plot of hers and fill it with a huge load of foal batter ," Luna thought licking her lips before he shook the thought from her mind repeating. Not now Luna not now.
It has been a week since the girls and I have started our family and the eggs are doing fine, in fact, most of them are going to be female which means when they're gone up their first clutch of eggs are going to be just like them, dinosaurs. The only problem is are my young going to be like me, an Indominus Rex or are they going to be made up of all the different types of dinosaurs that I'm made of which would be really cool if that happens and are they going to be kind hearted like their mothers and I or they going to be, no I not going to think of that right now. I learned that it will take about 3 months for the eggs to hatch so that gives us enough time to think of how we're going to teach the hatchlings how to be kind and caring to others and love each other as a family should.
I did learn from Luna when she would visit that there were Sauropods and Hadrosaurs deeper in the Everfree Forest but unlike the other creatures, these were more like real dinosaurs with basic instincts. The only thing was they were armored like most herbivores during the time of the dinosaurs so they had either plates, spikes, or horns. But most of them were slower and not as dangerous as a Hydra seeing as they were as big as a bull elephant. So I talked it over th the girls and Fluttershy and we all agreed that it would be best if we hunted them instead of the other animals of the forest. So Fluttershy volunteered to watch over the eggs while we went hunting and I have to say that actually going out and hunting was fun but the meat was the best part it was so good like eating a premium steak.
Like I was saying it has been a week and things were going fine even the CMC would visit. The fun part of their visit was when they tried to get their cutie marks as Dino and Dragon Riders but that didn't work out so well though it was fun even the girls loved it. The other thing they did was somehow they talked their teacher into bringing their class out to visit us and to learn about dinosaurs and dragons. And let's just say there were two little fillies who's attitudes changed for the better after that visit. But not everything was so good yesterday Spike showed up carrying a large pack and looking really upset. It turns out he had a really big fight with Twilight and the others about something and just packed up and left he did leave a note telling them where he was going but said that it will be a while before he would come back.
So here we are now I decided to stay at what I have dubbed the Nesting Grounds while Draca and the others took Spike out for his first hunt. I do hope he doesn't freak out or get sick from it. As I was saying I chose to stay behind and tend to the nests when I picked up a scent looking to the opening I saw Twilight standing there looking depressed.
"Good morning Twilight what brings you here or do I already know that answer?" I said as I made my way over to her before lowering down to the ground.
"Morning Greg, is Spike here by any chance?" She asked with a little hope in her eyes.
"I'm sorry but he's out with Draca and the others right now I think they're teaching him some dragon stuff?" I said not wanting to tell her the truth knowing full well she would freak out.
"Oh ok then well I see you later," She said as she turned and started walking away as tears were falling from her eyes.
I reached out and put my claw in front of her. "Twilight please don't cry I know Spike misses you too but could you tell me why this all happened and maybe I can help you two out," I said making her turn to look at me.
"Ok I try, you see it happened three days ago when Princess Luna came to me about an experiment that could help the decreased stallion population and we discussed it in detail of selecting viable mares to be turned into Hermaphrodites due to the fact that unlike other creatures pony mares genes are more predominant making foals born at a 90% chance of being a filly. But a Hermaphrodite as one of the parents there would be a fifty-fifty chance a colt would be born. But that's not the reason why Spike left, you see we, I mean Luna and I were so eager to see if it was possible that we tried it out and we decided that Luna would be the one to turn. It was amazing and it worked it really worked Luna had grown the sex organs of a stallion but that's where everything went wrong. Rarity had shown up after the spell was cast and you see being that close to her made both of us enter estrus and we kind of started rutting right there. Unfortunately, Spike walked in on us in the middle of Luna and Rarity then he saw it as Luna filled her with enough sperm to make sure Rarity was pregnant. I don't know what to do I knew Spike had a crush on her for a long time but after that, he was so mad and the things he said to all three of us hurt. I know we hurt him too but the estrus was so strong none of us could control ourselves and if I could I would go back in time and made it that none of it had happened." Twilight said as tears began falling from her eyes the way Pinkie cries.
"Twilight I didn't know," Spike said standing right behind her. " It's just when I saw what was happening I was so hurt you knew how I felt about Rarity and you just stood there and let it happened and I know it wasn't your fault but it still hurts and it's going to take me some time to get over it so just know that I'll always be your number one assistant and come by to help around the castle but I think it would be best if I stay here for a while," Spike said as he began hugging the still crying mare.
"Thank you, Spike and I understand so take all the time you need," Twilight said as she hugged him one more time.
Looking down at the two of them I felt happy that they made up before a thought hit me and I looked at Spike. " Say Spike I thought you were with Draca and the others what happened?"
"Oh hehe yeah um I was told to come and tell you that we got some food," Spike said blushing while he rubbed the back of his head.
I smiled at him but then we all heard a roar coming from the forest. I knew what it was a distress call from the girl's something was wrong. I got up and started running in the direction of the call. I didn't realize that Twilight and spike were following me but at that moment I didn't care. As I tore through the forest I kept wondering what was wrong but then I started picking up a scent that made me move faster. The scent of blood but not any blood it was dragon blood and there was a lot of it. I don't know how fast I was moving but nothing stood in my way trees and boulders were destroyed but I didn't care I had to get to them.
I finally reached my destination and what I saw was unreal so much so that I couldn't believe it there on the ground where my four mates each covered in blood and not moving. But standing over them were two dragons almost my size and they were looking down at them with toothy grins. I just stood there watching as one of them walked over to my mate Triva picking her up by the throat and laughing at her.
"You traitors got what you deserve mating with a freak Lord Scorch told you to return back to the Dragonlands but you refused now that we took care of you all we have to do is find your nests and destroy those cursed eggs," It said throwing her lifeless body to the ground.
Seeing this and hearing what it said all my anger from how my family treated me to every other time I was picked on came to the surface and all I wanted to do was kill, kill them both. Something happened to me I wasn't thinking anymore all I could see was complete darkness around me. Letting out the most fearsome roar filled with every bit of rage I had in me I charged at them and everything went black.
Twilight's POV
We heard the roar and I saw Greg get up and start running I looked to spike as he also was running in the same direction. Thinking fast I cast a spell to hide the nest from predators. before I turned and flew after them picking up Spike along the way.
"Spike, what the buck is going on what was that roar?" I asked as I picked him up and flew faster to catch up to Greg.
" That was a distress call the girl's they're in danger we got to help them!" Spike yelled as I saw tears forming in his eyes.
Luckily for me, Greg made it easy for me to keep up with him as I flew faster than I ever have before. As we were getting closer I started to smell something it was strong and kept getting stronger. Oh, sweet Celestia, it was blood I could smell blood a lot of it and it was coming from the direction we were heading. As I made my way there dark and fearful thoughts kept popping in my head but I pushed them back knowing that Greg would need my help. As I was about to catch up to him I saw that he stopped and just stood there. Then I heard it, the most terrifying sound ever coming from Greg.
Ater that all I saw was him moving charging at these two dragons and I didn't know why until I saw the bodies of Draca, Triva, Kirin, and Freya all lying lifeless. Then I knew what was happening Greg was in raged and nothing was going to stop him he was going to kill them for what they had done. As I watched Greg tear those dragons apart I felt Spike jump off my back and start heading over towards the fighting I called out to him but then I saw he was heading over into another direction where a young dragon was standing.
Spikes POV
I knew something was wrong when Draca told me to head back to Greg but it didn't occur that we were in danger until I heard the roar. As Twilight and I caught up to Greg and I saw what had happened I was so angry with myself for not trusting my instincts and for not being strong enough to help. Then I looked over to the side I saw him the same dragon that has pushed me down pick on me and treated me like I was nothing. Garble he was here and I knew he had something to do with this. Jumping off Twi's back I started running at him ignoring her calls to me I wanted to know why he did this to my best friend and my family.
"Garble!" I roared as I jumped at him hitting my head into his stomach making him fall back down." How could you do this why!" I yelled as I began punching him with all my strength.
Garble was surprised by Spike's attack and the hit and falling down hurt more than anything but what he had seen beforehand was much worst. So he just lied there and let Spike keep punching him knowing that this pain was nothing compared to what he and the ancient lord were going through.
"I'm sorry I'm so sorry I didn't know they were going to do this they said they just wanted to talk to the Drakena's I didn't know I'm sorry ," Was all Garble thought to himself over and over. Until the beating stopped and he looked through his one good eye as the other one was swollen shut to see Spike floating above him in a purple glow. He turned his head to see a pony using it's magic to lift Spike off of him and bring him closer to it. But how he felt right now he wished that she would have just let Spike kill him.
The Everfree Forest POV
Greg let out a thunderous roar and charged at the two dragons his eyes were colored blood red and his skin an almost black in color making him look as if he had crawled out of Tartarus itself. For at that moment he was a demon bent on revenge for the deaths of his mates. Even the creatures of the forest knew the danger of the MONSTER that had come.

The mighty Hydras dug themselves deep into the waters of Froggy Bottom Bog. The Timberwolves huddled together in their dens hoping that it would end soon even the fearsome Manticores coward inside caves whimpering like kittens. But luckily for them, this rage filled being only had its eyes set on two foes no they were its prey and he was going to make sure they never lived to see another sunrise. The Beast attacked with such speed and ferocity that the two seasoned dragons were caught unprepared. The first to feel pain we shall call Red was so strong the sound of his ribs snapping like twigs could be heard hundreds of yards away. Red tried to roar in pain but was unable due to the fact his entire head was in the mouth of the beast and it was closing it down on him. Red tried to squirm and thrash about but to no avail and with a loud crunch his life ended. The beast without care finished the job and severed the crushed skull from the now still body eating it. The second dragon we shall call Blue stood there in awe at the site before his own fight or flight instincts took over. Spreading his wings he readies himself for flight looking once more in the direction of the beast only to see it had disappeared. Fear crept through Blue more fear then he felt when standing in the presence of the Dragonlord he knew he had to get away or end up like his companion. Blue ready himself but a roar of pain made him fall to the ground. Looking behind him, Blue saw the beast standing there with what was left of his wings. Yes, the beast moved quickly and got behind him tearing apart Blues wings. The pain was excruciating Blue felt tears well up in his eyes unlike Red blue was not thinking of his own death but of the lives, he would leave behind his mate and their hatchlings how would they survive without him.
"I'm sorry," He said as tears fell from his eyes thinking of his own family. "Please forgive me, my lord," He said again through tear filled eyes.
The beast stopped for a second only a second before he walked up to Blues head looking down at him with rage filled eyes that began to well with tears.
"No, no forgiveness you die like the other for what you did," The Beast said in a fearful growling voice. With that, he lifted his foot and placed it on Blues head ready to crush it.
The Beast began to press down the weight caused the horns on Blues head to crack and break off he roared again in pain when a claw pierced his eye making it worthless. He still didn't want to die but the realization of what he no they had done surfaced. Going against the ancient laws and listening to a foolish leader filled with hatred for the lords of old. Now he understood why Dinosaurs were so feared even to the strongest of dragons. A little more weight and Blue knew his life would be over.
" Gregory Gregorian stop this is not like you!" A voice called out from the sky.
The beast Gregory stopped at the call of his full name but his eyes were still blood red and filled with rage at what these dragons had done.
"Please, Gregory, I know you're angry I know you're hurting but this is not you please think what would Draca, Triva, Kirin, and Freya say if they were here to see this what will you tell your children," The Voice called out as the form of the Princess of the Night descended from the sky.
The Gregory looked up at the Alicorn of the Night only to be filled with rage once more roaring at her. "NO, they must pay they monsters took family away," Gregory roared at her.
"Yes my dear Greg they did something unforgivable but now they are not the monster here you are, look!" Luna screamed as she made a large mirror appeared in front of Greg so he could see what he had become.
Looking at the reflection Greg was horrified at the monster staring back at him and he stepped away from Blue as tears flowed from his eyes before exhaustion took over and he fell asleep still crying. The Greg the King of the Ancient Lords lied down as his color returned to normal and cried for the loss of his mates the mothers of his young. But within Greg, something was happening he began to change in his heart he knew what it was the eggs the hatchlings would not be without a mother for Greg shall be what he was truly created as a female able to be the mother that his no her hatchlings would need.
Greg began to stir and opening her she saw her friends standing there Luna, Twilight, and Spike. But she knew she couldn't talk to them now not how much she hurt so without a word she stood up and turned heading back to the nesting Grounds and her eggs. Twilight tried to say something but Spike put his claw on her shoulder stopping her.
"I think he needs some time alone but don't worry I keep an eye on him," Spike said as he began to follow his friend home stopping only to look at Luna for a second and smiled at her letting her know he wasn't mad anymore.
Twilight and Luna just stood there watching the tow disappear into the forest before their focus was on the two dragons that were still alive. Both great beasts had fear in their hearts for what awaited them.
As Spike followed his friend he could help but wonder what would have happened if he was bigger and stronger could he have been able to help against those other drakes his thoughts were swept away when he heard Greg's voice call him but it sounded different somehow more like a girls voice than what Greg normally sounded like.
"What I sorry I wasn't listening sorry," Spike said looking down at the ground.
"I said thank you for coming with me I don't think I'd like to be alone right now," She said and Spike was sure of it Greg's voice did change.
" Wow what happen to your voice it sounds like a girl's now?" Spike said only to put his claw over his mouth.
"Well, I guess I should tell you the truth but for now could you call me GG I don't think Greg is appropriate anymore?" GG said as she turned to go into the nest as Spike followed her.
"Ok so what do you mean by the truth?" Spike asked as he watched GG look over the clutches of eggs.
" You see as I told Twilight and the others I was not born like this but made in a lab. But the Scientists that created me and the other Dinosaurs where I come from didn't have everything to create us so they used frog DNA and when they made all of us we were all female. But the frog they used could change its sex if there were more of one sex around so some of us changed to be male and the others stade female. That way we could reproduce on our own. But unfortunately, I was the only one of my kind. With that, I chose to be neutral meaning I would both male and female and not waiting until I found a viable mate. And when I met the... well I became full male but now the eggs need a mother to care for them so Greg is gone and GG is here." I said to Spike looking down at him as he thought over everything I said.
"I think I get it you mean since you're the only one of your kind you had to find either a guy or girl before you were whole?"Spike said looking up at me hoping he said it right.
"Well that's as close to it as you can get so yes," I said smiling at him before I started to cry. "But the thing is I'm afraid, I'm afraid that I can't take carry of the eggs by myself that I'll loose some if not all of them and then I'll be truly alone," I said as I laid down and cried.
Spike stood there seeing his friend just give up like that. Suddenly something inside of him ignited a flame more powerful than the sun. He walked over to GG placing his claw on her cheek.
You won't be alone because I'm going to be with you, He said as he felt himself grow and grow the memory of his greed came back but this time it wasn't greed it was, want, want to help someone he loved.
GG stopped crying turning to Spike and watched as he kept growing until he was as taller and bigger than she was.
"Spike how what happened to you?" GG asked as she stood up looking at the now full grown drake before her. Needless to say she blushed a little when she started to check him out.
"I don't know I grew, like this when my greed got really bad but this time it's not greed its want. I want to help you to be with you to protect the nest to be your mate your husband to be the father of these eggs our family," Spike said as he stood tall making GG look up to him with admiration and she couldn't believe it but love.
Yes love for the drake who had sworn to the hevens he would be there for her. Something warm was beginning to grow inside of GG and she knew what it was Spike was her mate and as such, she needed to make sure his genes would caring on. She walked over to him and nuzzled his neck before turning around and lower to the ground lifting her tail to the side as she looked back at Spike.
"Well If we are going to be a family we might as well make it official so come here and fertilize my eggs so I can make our family grow," GG said blushing.
Spike stood there for a second before his own instincts kick in moving over he began rubbing his claws over GG sides making her purr and bending down taking the back of her neck in his mouth biting down but not puncturing her scales before he got into position and began to mate. There in the so called forest of death two hearts bonded beneath the watchful eye of Luna's moon. GG new that within her was the first of many clutches of eggs she would have with her mate. The eggs that already rested in the Nesting Grounds would hatch to both a mother and father that would love and protect them as well as teach them what it means to be the bravest, wisest and most fearsome creatures in all of Equestria. DINOSAURS

Greg opens his eyes in shock looking around to see his mates and Spike sleeping soundly.
"I had it again that stupid nightmare God I'm getting so tired of it. Every night for over a week even Luna can't seem to make it go away. " Greg thought to himself as he tried to go back to sleep with no luck.
Although some of the nightmare did happen in real life like the stuff with the CMC and their class and what happened with Twilight and the others. But that was it everything else was nothing but that damn nightmare.
With a light grown he lifted his head looking around seeing that his mates were sleeping soundly as well as Spike. Looking at the little drake Greg could only smile remembering when he came and told the five of them that he was going to stay with them after that incident with Twilight, Luna, and Rarity. But with the help from Draca and the others, he finally forgave them and realized that his crush was never meant to be. Some good news happened for Spike though, three days ago he brought a young dragoness named Barb into the Nesting Grounds.
It took a day for her to tell us that her parents were killed by a rogue dragon who took over their home and horde. She was wondering the forest for days when she bumped into Spike literally and he brought her to us. She was afraid at first not wanting to leave Spikes side, but now she doesn't want to leave his side for other reasons and yes it took the girls to tell me why. So it looks like my little brother is growing up and has found a girl of his own let's just hope they don't want to start a family too soon. And I know what you're thinking how could they be in a relationship like that so fast well when a dragoness or darkena finds a male they have this unique ability to tell if he is the right one for her. She can tell if he's strong, brave, and would be a good provider for their young. But Barb said that what caught her eye was that Spike like me was all that but both of us were also very smart and kind traits rare in dragons.
"Might as well get up and do something maybe I could go to the south part of the forest I heard there are some sauropods around making trouble for the farmers ." Greg thought to himself.
Getting up making sure he didn't disturb the others Greg made his way out of the Nesting Grounds only to stop when he heard noise coming from behind him. Turning to look he saw Spike getting up and looking at him.
"Hey bro whatcha doing up so early?" Spike asked rubbing his eyes and stretching.
"Oh sorry did I wake you, I was just going to go hunting but you can go back to sleep," I said in the lowest whisper I could do.
Spike stretched once more before he got up and started walking towards me. "Well since I'm up I might as well go with you seeing as you're not the only one who needs to take care of someone," He said looking back at Barb as she slept curled up next to the girls.
I just shook my head and waved for him to come on. As we made our way through the forest I glanced down at Spike my adopted little brother and marveled at how much he had grown since I met him emotionally not physically well physically to seeing as he is half a head taller than Barb now. We walked in silence for a good while until Spike looked up to me.
"So the real reason you're up so early was because of that nightmare again wasn't it?" He asked turning to look at the ground.
After the second time having the nightmare, I told Draca, Spike, and the others about it and about how I was created to be female but could change sex when the need arose. Let's just say they took it well enough Triva and Kirin wouldn't stop laughing after hearing I was really a girl at first but pour Spike was in shock at first hearing that he and I mated. A day by himself and he realized that what he said in the dream/nightmare about taking care of me and the eggs was what he truly felt in his heart. Although he did say if anything like that were to happen he would step up help but as an uncle, not a dad.
"Yeah it's the same one nothing changes in it and even Luna has no idea why it keeps coming back but she suspects something dark about it," I said as we got close to where the sauropods were located. "Are you ready?" I whispered getting a nod from Spike. "Okay since these ones are pretty big will use plan 5," I said as both Spike and I loosened up our muscles and focused on what he each neede to do.
Plan 5 consists of Spike creating a disturbance with his fire shotting it on both sides of the herd making them only able to run in one direction so close together that they would become confused enough that at the end of the walls of fire they wouldn't even notice me as I picked off some of them. But then he would once again use his fire to force them into a big circle so they would stop and begin to calm down before the wall of fire would dissipate leaving them confused but unharmed. The plan has worked every time we used it and today it would be no different.
Far to the west in what is known as the Dragonlands, a large dark figure stood growling to himself. This figure was massive anyone would have mistaken him for a mountain from his size.
"What is taking so long why is that Greg not gone crazy and killed himself?" The mountain of dragon roared only to have a smaller one wrapped in a cloak approached him.
"Dragonlord Scorch I a sorry but the mages are trying their best but using dark magic from this far away can only do so much would it not be better for us just kill this Greg creature than waste time trying to make him do it himself?" The cloaked figure said as it moved across the floor as if it were floating.
"You fool Wrath, Dragonlord Scorch yelled making the one called Wrath flitch. " We can not just kill an Ancient Lord or all involved would have their souls torn from their bodies and their fire snuffed out for all eternity withering away in Tartarus," He said shivering from the thought of the last thing he said.
"As you wish my lord but what should we do with the daughters of Bahamut for they have surely mated with him and laid their clutches of eggs?" Wrath asked as he floated across the floor.
"Do not worry you fool once he is dead they will return to the Dragonlands and as for the clutches of eggs I believe they will meet an unfortunate accident and then in their grief of the loss of their mate and eggs I will take them as my mates that way I will have the daughters of my hated rival Bahamut and have the most powerful hatchlings in all the Dragonlands," Scorch said as he began to laugh the evilest of laughs.
Unknown to the two of them a small red dragon was listening in, it was Garble the same drake that had told the Dragonlord about Greg and the others. He quickly left his hiding spot and made his way outside thinking to himself along the way.
"Why would Lord Scorch do that every dragon knows that an Ancient Lord cant die they can only pass to the next world when they want to ?" Garble thought to himself as he exited the giant cave only to take flight."I have to go back and tell them whats happening before Scorch destroys all of Dragon-kind I just hope they believe ,"
Back in the Everfree Forest as the sun was rising, our two brave hunters have successfully completed a great hunt bagging three bull sauropods. They both shared a meal of the largest picking it clean to the bone before hoisting the other two on Gregs back to take to the others. On their way back the two of them started to sing.
We finished our song as we got just outside the entrance to see five figures standing there looking at us with big smiles. I walked in and dropped off this week's meal for them only to receive a kiss from all of my mates and for Spike he got a big kiss from Barb. Seeing this made me and the girls dwaaa a little at how cute the two of them looked. Making the both of them blush only made us laugh but that had to end because it was time for them to eat and for Spike to head to Twilights so he could start work. Yes, he still is Twilight's number one assistant but staying in the library feels wrong now with Rarity and Luna staying there most of the time and Rares and twilight both with foal. So he and Barb are living with us, Barb has even gone in and helped Spike with work and made friends with some of the townponies especially with the CMC and Fluttershy. She even made friends with the embodiment of Satan himself Angle Bunny well I can't say that he's my friend too but how he treats everyone else is just wrong. Barb quickly ate her fill before she and Spike headed off to work while I lied down near the nests and watched the others as they too finished their meals as well.
"You had it again didn't you?" Freya asked as she came over to check on the eggs.
I didn't even answer her because she already knew it they all knew that I had been getting much sleep and it started to show especially with how I was beginning to act. Any living creature that has been deprived of sleep for too long would start to show different signs mine was I was becoming short-tempered and growling at every little thing. The only time I was normal so to speak was when I was either hunting or watching over the Nesting Grounds other than that it was getting harder not to snap at the smallest thing. I just wanted one night just one of no nightmare as I laid there I heard Draca and the others greet Luna who had come to visit again.
"Greeting my dear friend how are you faring this morning?" She asked me only to get an eye roll." Ah, the same I see but fear not for I have come up with a temporary solution to aid you," She said making me lift my head to look at her. " Now mind you this is only temporary but will cast a spell that will prevent you from dreaming at all it should last a week and that should give me the time to find out what has caused this to you and stop it once and for all."
Hearing this my attitude changed for the better thinking if I don't dream then I could actually have a restful night for once. I got up and moved over leaning down and nuzzling her cheek. Thank you so much, Luna, but are you sure it'll work I mean," I began to say before stopping midsentence.
"Yes it will work for the spell puts your mind in the same state as what is called a coma that way your body and mind will be able to rest but I must stress this the spell will only work for one week each time you sleep at night it will activate and stop when I lower the moon and Celestia raises the sun and in that time I hope I will be able to find what has caused this to you," Luna said as she stepped away from me and activated the magic in her horn.
To be honest I didn't care if lasted for a week or not just the idea of having a full night's sleep was enough to make me smile. As I watched her the magic of her horn reached out and started to surround me and I felt as if a small part of my mind was cut off from the rest of me.
"There that should do it tonight you will have a dreamless sleep," Luna said smiling at me.
"Thank you so much for this I don't know how I'll ever repay you," I said looking down at her.
Luna looked up at me with a grin. "Well, you could name one of you hatchlings after me," She said chuckling.
I raised an eyebrow looking at her. " I would but, Moonbutt doesn't sound like a name for a dinosaur," I said only to get a raspberry from her.
We both laughed at that and I thanked her again for helping me with trying to stop this nightmare and for being my friend in general. After a short conversation with the girls and me, Luna bid us farewell and returned to Canterlot. When she was gone I got up and started head for town, only to be stopped by Triva.
"And where do you think you're going?" She asked in a stern tone.
"Into town to talk to everyone and apologize for the way I was acting why?"I said looking at her.
"Sorry but not today," She said making me look at her with a little confusion. "For today we rest because tomorrow the whole family is to head to Trottingham to meet with our cousin Butte to meet his new mate a griffoness named Gilda and don't worry Celestia said she would watch over the eggs while we are gone,"
I looked at her confused again. "Why can't one of the girls watch the eggs why do we need to bother Celestia?" I asked getting a surprised look from all of them.
"Have you not said time and again that the girls are more of a family to you than your old one," Kirin said walking over to me making me turn red.
Yes, I have said that on many occasions and I still believe it to this day. So thinking about it that would mean Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, the CMC, Spike, and Barb would be joining the five of us on a little trip that should take three days. One to get there one for a visit and one to get back I know that's short but none of us want to be away from the eggs for too long. So it was decided today rest and tomorrow a road trip. I figured I could see if Luna's spell would work as I lied down curling myself around the nests closing my eyes and falling asleep with no trace of that damnable nightmare for once.
Canterlot Castle Trone Room
Luna entered the throne room in a rage nearly tearing the doors off their hinges. Celestia sitting on her thorn looked up from her paperwork at her sister.
"Luna please be careful those doors are a thousand years old and the pony who maintained them retired last year and I have not found a replacement yet," Celestia said a little irritated at her sister.
I am sorry, sister but I have just returned from my visit with Greg and found some disturbing news," Luna said making Celestia stop what she was doing and get up from her throne.
"What disturbing news Luna what is causing Greg to have this nightmare?" Celestia said as she made her way to her sister.
"When I cast the spell on him this morning I saw a trail of magic that connected to his mind it was coming from the west but the main thing is it was dark magic," Luna said making Celestia take a step back.
Are you sure it was dark magic?" Celestia asked getting a nod from her sister. And it was coming from the west true west?" She asked she had to make absolutely sure.
"Yes sister it was dark magic and it was coming from the west true west why do you ask?" Luna said now wondering why the direction was important.
Celestia's look and attitude changed from worried to angered. "That Son of a Salamander, How dare he do this to not only one of our subject but to an Ancient Lord and mate to my daughters<" Celestia yelled releasing a large burst of energy pushing Luna back a few feet.
Yes, you read it right Draca, Triva, Freya, and Triva are Celestia daughters how you may ask? Well with her sister banished to the moon Celestia became lonely and sought out companionship in many different forms most of the time it was a personal student but others it was for more of an adult reason. Until one day she had met these two young Drakes as she watched them compete in different activities, she noticed that one of the was always the victory but he never let it go to his head which was strange for a dragon. She continued watching until the other one got angry a flew off cussing his so-called friend. And at that moment she decided to introduce herself to this now attractive drake.
"Greeting Master Dragon I am Princess Celestia," She said only to be surprised as the dragon turned and bowed down to her without hesitation again unlike other dragons.
"Greeting my Princess it is an honor to be in the presence and if I may be so bold one as beautiful as you," He said still kneeling before her.
Celestia was taken back by this for no one pony or other has told her she was beautiful in such a way to make the Dieachey of the sun blush to the point her white fur was pink.The dragon seeing this took it upon himself to aid the flustered princess by taking her hoof in his claw and patting it to get her to calm down. And it seemed to work for after a few pats Celestia regain her senses.
"Thank you but please may I know the name of a dragon who is so kind and noble?" Celestia asked just like a princess would in a storybook.
"Forgive your Highness my manors I am Bahamut son of Balthazar eldest of the Ancient Lords Ruler of the Dragonlands, Bahamut said taking hold of Celestia's hoof giving it a chased kiss making the Sun Princess blush once more.
Celestia didn't know why but being with Bahamut made her feel whole oh she did still miss her sister terribly but the emptiness in her heart wasn't as big anymore. Every chance they could they would meet and just talk nothing big just plain things like what they had for lunch or they would lie on their backs and look up at the clouds as they floated by. Or at night they would stare at the stars but when Celestia would see the shape on the moon she would become saddened at the sight and tears would fill her eyes and Bahamut would then hold his friend in his claws and console her until the last tear fell. But over time their friendship grew into something more and on one faithful day, it blossomed it to love true love. That night under moon they exchanged that love in vows and the consummation and conception of four eggs that would hatch into the four young Drakena now the mates of Greg the Indominus Rex King of the Dinosaurs and master of the Ancient Lords.
After Celestia had told her sister the truth Luna nuzzled her sister consoling her. "Oh, Tai, I didn't know so that is why you have never taken a stallion as a husband after all this time because you are married to him?" Sha asked for Celestia to only nod. But what has happened to him and why do they not know of you as their mother?" Luna asked stepping back from her sister.
"We had agreed to withhold that from them so they could grow up having a normal life," Celestia said looking down at the floor. "As for my love, he is forever sealed in Tartarus for killing an Ancient Lord," She said with tears falling from her eyes.
Hearing this Luna stood there in shock. "But how, why would he do such a thing did he not know what would happen to him?" She asked raising her voice a little.
"Of course, he knew but he would not even let his own father harm or kill his wife and children," Celestia said starting up and looking at her sister with a cold expression." When Balthazar heard about our marriage and the eggs he was appalled how could his own son wed and mate with a pony even if it was a Princess and in his rage, he tried to crush the eggs and kill me but Bahamut stopped him and in the struggle, he had accidentally killed his own father but I could never understand why he would try such a thing or what made him go mad he was a great friend and loved all ponykind. But for Bahamut, the deed was done and his sole was stripped from him and dragged to Tartarus as for his body I cast a spell and turned him to stone and that is the statue in the center of the maze in the garden." Celestia said as she broke down and started crying not caring if any pony saw her.
Luna teleported them to Celestia's room and placed her sister on her bed." Sister I know it is not much but you may have lost your love but you still have four beautiful daughters and soon you will have many grandchildren to spoil with love," Luna said as she covered her sister so she may sleep after a hard day.
Celestia laid there as her sister left the room only to look at a small picture on her nightstand of her and Bahamut with four eggs between them. "Your right Luna I still have them and my grandchildren and by, mothers name nothing will ever harm any of them even if I have to shove the sun up Dragonlord Scorches Ass," She said through gritted teeth before she laid back down clutching the picture.
Back in the Nesting Grounds, Greg, Draca, Triva, Freya, Kirin, Spike, and Barb all settle down for a good nights sleep Greg found out earlier that the spell Luna did worked and he had a restful nap after which he took over watching the eggs while the girls went out and did stuff they said what it was but he didn't quite hear it as he was too happy at having no nightmare. getting ready for bed Spike and Barb laid down in the center of the four nest then Draca, Triva, Fyera, and Kirin incircled them and the eggs. While Greg incircled all of them keeping his head facing the opening so he could see, smell, and hear if anything would come to cause harm to his family and with that they all closed their eyes.
Meanwhile, at the border of Equestria the young drake Garble flew as fast as he could, he needed to reach them and tell them of Scorche's plan hoping he would make it in time.
I have learned many things in my life some very important others not so much. The not so much is just common things like drinking and driving is dangerous and drugs are bad. Though the important things have stuck with me through the years, never think you're the best because there's always someone better than you, Never judge a book by its cover, and the most important thing is never to tell a lady that she looks fat. So yeah as you can guess I forgot that last one because right now I'm running through the Everfree Forest being chased by four angry Drakena and one very pissed off alabaster Alicorn. Hey for the record I did not say she was fat I just said her tushie was getting a little squishy.
See the reason the girls were after me as well because she as in Celestia finally told them the truth of who they were. There was a lot of crying on their part and no I was a little emotional but it was happiness, to know my mates had one of their parents still here. But Like I said running for my life I activated my camouflage but that doesn't help when you don't stop moving. And apologizing over and over does not seem to help. So being the man I was I did the only thing I could think of to keep from being beaten up. I bribed them yep I used the old fall back of promising my mates a romantic evening and for Celestia the secret of creating Death by Chocolate chocolate cake.
That happened three days ago and right now I am on a little outing with Luna, you see when I heard about Bahamut I wanted to set things right. That and find out who is doing this to me about this damn dream and stop it. We made our way to the old castle but instead of going there we headed down into a gulley to a cave. Inside the cave was the most beautiful thing I ever have seen Luna told me it was the Tree of Harmony. This tree was the heart of Equestria if not the world and with it, we might be able to find out the truth about my dream and Bahamut.
"Now, Greg, I must warn you this might not work with your dream but as for Bahamut, I believe that an answer may come to us," Luna said looking at me.
Nodding my head we prepared for what was to come. Settling down Luna used her magic and placed a sleep spell on me. And like the times before I found myself in that same dream but this time I was watching it unfold. I don't have to tell you what happened in it but the sight of me going into a rage like that was really scary. Who knew that I could do something like that and how I looked it was as if I had become a real monster. I watched it all unfold but something felt off looking around I saw it far off in the woods there were two figures wrapped in darkness.
" Luna look over there those two in the woods!" I yelled pointing at them doing this made the two cloaked figures move as they now realized that they were discovered.
Before they could react Luna was upon them wrapping them in her magic to prevent them from escaping. I turned to look at the dream and it changed instead of my mates lying on the ground dead they were standing up with no wounds what so ever. How could this happen the dream it somehow was changed could it be finding out about those two was what did it.
"Tell me how are you able to enter the Dreamworld answer me now before I rip your souls from this world?" Luna said angerly to the cloaked figures.
Before Luna could do anything else the two let out a scream of pain and their bodies dropped to the ground. Moving over to look at who was under the cloaks both of us gasped when we saw that it was dragons but the expression on their faces, were of total fear and pain. Then we watched as their bodies began to dissolve away only leaving the robes behind. I just looked at Luna and could see that she was not happy, to be honest, it was a face of pure rage.
"Luna, what happened to them I mean what's going on here?" I said looking from the robes to her.
It took her a few seconds to compose her self before she turned to look at me I could still see the anger in her eyes. I think we will need to speak with my sister about this but I have a feeling that you will not be having this dream for some time if at all," She said as she turned around a headed back to where we were. "Come we must speak to the tree to find out what can be done with Bahamut,"
I looked once more at the robes before following her. "Why would dragons be hiding in my dreams and what were they here for ?" I thought to myself as I caught up to Luna.
When we reached what I think is the consciousness of the Tree of Harmony I stood there and looked at it. How could a tree made of crystal even be alive but that thought was cut short when I heard laughing.
"Oh ye of little faith to think that I could not hear you," A voice said coming from all around us.
I looked to Luna who only smiled at me. "Greg, allow me to introduce you to Harmony," Luan said pointing her hoof to the form of the tree before us.
"It is a pleasure to meet you again Greg," The voice said as I watched the tree glow with each word.
"H hello Ms. Harmony," I said not wanting to be rude. "But I don't think we ever met before?" I said tilting my head.
"I am sorry you do not recognize me like this," The tree said before a flash of light made my close my eyes.
Opening them again I looked to see the same old man that sold me my costume. "I think this is what I looked like when we met last," The tree or old man said smiling.
"You're, you're the one that..," I began to say before I looked to Luna.
"Yes I am, and you do not need to worry Luna knows the truth about who you really are and she will not tell anyone else," The old man said looking from me to Luna who nodded her head.
"But I don't understand what, why, how?" Was all I could say before both of them began to laugh making me feel foolish and a little angry.
"Take it, easy son, I will explain everything I can to you," He said. "First, the reason why you are here is that you have been chosen to bring back the rain of the Dinosaurs and who better than the Indominus Rex for your children will be born of the same ones you are created from," He said looking up at me.
"So you're telling me that all the eggs that my mates laid will hatch to be what was made to make this body?" I asked pointing to myself.
"Yes all of them well except for the cuttlefish, frog, and snake," He said giving me a smirk. "I believe they will hatch as Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Velociraptor, and Spinosaurus if I'm not mistaken," He said naming off some of the most dangerous dinosaurs in history.
All I could do was picture what they each would look like and found myself smiling while doing it. I know they would grow to be fierce predators but with the love and guidance of their mothers and me, they could be the guardians of this land.

Seeing my expression the old man and Luna both smiled before they cleared their throats. "Now, my boy, I know you want to tell the girls about this but you can't for you see this must remain between us for you see your mates will not be giving birth to only dragons after this clutch hatches they will be laying half dragon and half dino offspring for the rest of their lives.," He said making me look at him. It is so the Dinosaurs population will be able to grow and flourish even when they are grown and take mate of their own the number of dinos to dragons will drop to one to two pure clutch but they will still have them,'
"So it's like a failsafe so no matter if my children are male or female they will still have dinosaurs like them," I said as I finally understood what he was talking about.
"Exactly but I think we need to change the subject and talk about Bahamut," The old man said looking at the ground. "Now I know what happened to the boy but the only way I can see him returning to this world is if someone were to go into Tartarus and bring his soul back," He said looking up to me.
I looked over to Luna as she nodded her head. "Yes, I think only someone big, strong, and brave could do such a feet,"
"Ok ok I get it you want me to go," I said only for both of them to turn looking at me shocked.
"Oh you would do this I must say that it is very kind of you," Lua said trying to look innocent and failing miserably.
I just looked at her with a deadpan expression not saying a word.
"Yes we knew you would want to do this," The old man said seeing that I knew they were wanting me to do it. But I must warn you that this journey will be dangerous for you must pass three trials to gain Bahamuts freedom," He said as he walked back over to the spot the tree once stood. "The first is the Trial of Bravery where you must face your greatest fear. The second is the Trail of Wisdom you must answer three riddles that are given to you and the last trial is the Trial of the Heart I do not know what it consists of but you must not fail or you will be trapped in Tartarus forever," He said looking very serious about it before a smile crossed his face.
"Oh, my I had forgotten about the trials but fear not I am positive you will succeed my friend," Luna said placing her hoof on my foot.
I watched as the old man turned back into the tree and its voice changed back to that of a lady once again. You must have confidence in yourself or you will surely fail now go be with those you love for your journey will begin in two days time.
After that was said Luna and I found our selves back at the opening of the Nesting Grounds.
So let me just remind you what I just learned first I was sent here to bring back the dinosaurs. Second I am the only one who can free Bahamut from Tartarus. The same dragon that killed his own father an Ancient Lord to protect his wife and children the father of my loving mates and Celestia husband and I have to go and do this in two days.
So yeah no pressure.
Dragon Lord Scorches Throne Room
Scorch roared with such force that the mountain he was in shock and began to crumble. His rage was set upon the view before him there on the ground laid the two dragon mages both dead. His rage kept building until a sound caught his attention turning to yell at whoever it was he stopped when he saw the form of his daughter Ember and for that moment his heart softened.
"Daddy, what's wrong?" Ember asked as she walked closer only to stop and stare in fright at the two bodies before her.
"Nothing to concern yourself with these two just failed in their mission and paid the price for being weak," He said looking from his daughter to the bodies.
"But they were the strongest mages in the Dragonlands what happen to them?" She asked stepping closer to the dead dragon mages.
"I said they were weak do not question me hatchling," Scorch growled at her. "Now go, you have training to do," He said waving his large claw at her.
Ember knew better than to question her father so bowing she turned and left but in the back of her mind she still had doubts. Most of them were about her father and how he was ruling their people what she had learned from their history previous lords would hold court and discuss matters that would pertain the whole world and its care. But her father only seemed to grow angrier and larger with greed this was not good for a dragon for too much greed would make them weaker unable to even fly because of their size. Yet her father still gathered more for his horde and even took multiple drakena as mates and he still was always angry.
When Ember was gone Scorch slammed his clawed foot on to the floor. Seconds later Wrath appeared before him.
"My lord, do you require anything?" Wrath asked bowing before him.
"Get these two out of my site and bring me a slayer if I can't have that weakling kill himself then hirer someone who can now go," Scorch roared as Wrath bowed and proceeded to remove the bodies.
Out of earshot to the Dragon Lord, Wrath could only chuckle to himself. " You fool no matter how hard you try you will never be the true lord of dragons not like Balthazar and soon you will find out that the fury of a Drakena is Eternal," Wrath said as he removed his hood only to show the head and features of a female dragon. "And I will make you pay for what you did to my son and my mate," She said as she faded into the shadows.
Canterlot Castle
Celestia paced back and forth waiting for word from her sister. She did not have to wait long when a flash of light signaled Luna's arrival. Rushing over to her sister she couldn't stop in time and they both fell to the floor.
"Sister, I know you are eager to learn what I have found but would you please get off me you weight a ton and that dick of yours is very close to my face," Luna said pushing her sister to the side so she could stand up.
"I am sorry, sister I did not mean to, hey I do not weigh a ton the doctor said I am the correct weight for my height," Celestia said looking crossed at her sister for the fat joke.
Yes, it's true both Celestia and Luna had used the spell and are now Herms, in fact, Celestia, as taking a few mares and formed a herd like Luna, did with Twilight and Rarity though Celestia did choose some that were a little different one being Twilight Velvet. Yes, Twili's mom, see her dad Night Lite cheated on her with a married mare and she left him. So now Velvet is pregnant with her foal and they couldn't be happier.
"I know sister but it did take your mind off things for the moment," Luna said nuzzling her sister.
Celestia just looked at her sister for a second before they both started to laugh. " Thank you, Luna, but please tell me what you have discovered," Celestia said with hope in her eyes.
"As we suspected it was dark magic and the culprits were in fact dragons," Luna said as the two of them walked over to their thrones. " But we still do not know if it was his doing?" She said only to see a grin on her sister's muzzle.
"Oh, I am sure he was the one behind this, in fact, I sure he was behind everything that has happened," Celestia said as she used her magic to open a door to the left of their thrones. " Allow me to introduce you to a young drake who has some very important news for us," She said pointing to the young red dragon standing at the door.
Garble walked out and bowed to the princesses. "Greeting your majesties and Like her highness has said I do have news but I do ask that I be given asylum in your lands out of fear for my life," Gable said as he stood up.
"Wait I know you, your the drake that had picked on Spike during his journey," Luna said looking a little cross at the young dragon.
"Um yeah about that you must understand that it was not because I didn't like the guy it's just how dragons are," Garble said looking little nerves. "Actually when he stood up to us wanting to protect that egg I had a lot of respect for him," He said smiling remembering how brave Spike was.
"Very well please tell us what you have learned and we will promise you protection," Luna said looking skeptical.
So Garble told them everything from seeing Greg and his mates to telling Scorch and hearing what he was planning to do to the guy. Needless to say, both sisters were pissed to the level of them turning to their dark selves of Nightmare Moon and Daybreacker.
This only made everyone in the throne room cower in fear including Garble.
"That slimy little worm I will make him pay for this he will feel the full force of the sun and regret ever being born," Daybreaker roared.
"Not before he knows what true fear is I will make even his nightmares seem feeble to what I will do to him," Nightmare Moon hissed.
They continued to rant until the sound of laughter broke them out of it. Turning they both looked to see the cloaked figure standing there.
"Yes all of that sound lovely, but why, destroy him physically him when you could destroy him mentally instead turn the great Dragonlord into a sniving worm of his former self," The cloaked figure said in a deep voice.
Both Princesses calmed down enough to change back to their normal selves. Who are you and how did you get in here unnoticed?" Luna said walking over to the figure.
"Please forgive me your majesties I am known as Wrath and le you I wish for vengeance against Lord Scorch," Wrath said stepping closer to them.
"Don't believe him he is the Dragonlords trust adviser," Garble said moving between the Princesses and Wrath.
Wrath just laughed as his voice began to change to that of a female. " True I do serve the Dragonlord but only to keep him in check for now but what he has done to the both of us Princess is unforgivable," Wrath said removing her hood so they could see the tears in her eyes. " After all, he tricked Balthazar with dark magic into attacking you and your eggs making Bahamut kill his own father, my husband," Wrath said as she fell to the floor crying.
Not hesitating Celestia rush over and wrapped her hooves and wings around the crying drakena. As this was happening Garble stood there as the rage of finding the truth about what happened grew inside him and at that moment he vowed that he would make sure Scorch paid for what he did and a new Dragonlord would be chosen even if it was Spike he would make it so.
Luna walked over to the two embracing each other. "I know that this is very emotional for you both but there is some good news I have found that Greg can save Bahamut and bring him back," She said making the two look at her confused.
"How can this be his soul was pulled to Tartarus for eternity?" Wrath asked through tears.
The Tree of Harmony has told us Greg must venture to Tartarus there he must pass three trials upon completion he must stand before Bahamut's soul and forgive him. Then and only then can his soul return and your love shall be flesh once more," Luna said kneeling down wrapping her hooves and wings around both women.
While this was happening Garble excused himself thinking he had one more place to be. So leaving the throne room he made his way to the garden where he took off in the direction of the Everfree Forest. He knew that it might take some time but he really wanted to make things right. As he was coming in for a landing he misjudged the distance and crashed into a large patch of blue flowers having some of them fly into his mouth and down his throat. The crash and the amount of time flying to get to Canterlot took its toll on him so getting up he moved over to a tree and sat down against it falling asleep. Unknown to Garble to things were happening the first was the effects of the Poison Joke began to take effect and the other his crash alerted the resident shaman who stood by and watched as the large red dragon began to change.
As soon as it was done Zacora moved quickly and carefully placing the small form in her basket taking it to the only ones she knew who could help. Making her way to the Greg Zacora could only smile. When she arrived Spike and Barb had returned as well.
"Greetings my friends I am happy to say, I have found a wonderful gift for you this day," She said as she placed the basket down showing us what was inside.
"Zacora where did you find this hatchling and why does it look so familiar?" Spike asked as he looked at the sleeping baby dragon.
"Gable is the name of this one, And I will tell you that what has happened cannot be undone," She said making Spike look a little mad but wanting to know what she meant by can't be undone. "Poison Joke works so well, the cure can fix it that story you know well," To be covered by the plant is easy to mend, but that is not the case for he had eaten the flower so what you see is the dreadful end," She said making all of us look a little confused.
"So you mean scene he ate the flower the cure won't work on him?" Barb said getting a nod from the zebra.
"If that's true that means he'll have to grow up like a normal dragon?" Spike asked getting a nod as well.
"Yes, this is true, That is why I brought him to you," Zacora said looking at all of us.
"Ok I understand and thank Zacora we'll take care of him and raise him," I said before Spike stepped up to me.
"No, you have your own family to take care of so I'll do it I mean we will we'll be his parents," Spike said looking from a Smiling Barb to me.
I just looked at him before a clawed hand touched my shoulder turning I looked at Draca as she smiled.
"I think that would be wonderful and I know the two of you will make wonderful parents for him but I think we should give him a new name," Draca said looking at the sleeping baby. But I think we better make it a girls name," Draca said looking closer at the baby dragon.
"Are you sure cause Gable was a drake/" Spike asked looking at the baby before he saw the signs of it being female.
"Pretty sure because drakes don't smell like this," Draca said taking a whiff of the baby.
"The if he is now a girl and this is her second life how about Ava?" I said looking at everyone before I remembered that I was using a name from Earth. It means life and seeing this is her new one I think it fits, don't you?"
After I said that the baby woke up and started crying Spike and Barb rushed over picking her up and holding her close between them. "Shhh, it's ok Ava mommy and daddy are here," They both said holding their baby in their arms.
Ava stopped crying and looked up at her new parents only to let out a cute giggle making all of us dwaaa. Spike leaned down and kissed his daughter on the head making the baby look up at him and smile.
"Dada, mama," Ava said before she fell back to sleep.
As the new family moved to the nest Zacora explained that Garbles I mean Ava's mind had also changed she was now a true infant with no memories of who she was before. Thanking her once more we all made our way over to the nest to see that Spike had made a new nest for Ava to sleep in and we all just laid there watching as the newest member of our family took her first nap in her new home surrounded by her family one that would protect and teach her what it means to be a true dragon.
As we laid there I couldn't help but think about what the tree said and wondered if I could save Bahamut and bring joy to my loves and Celestia.

Now we just have to find out if Greg can save Bahamut and make this family hole?
"So you're telling me all I have to do is go to this Tartarus find Bahamut and forgive him, then he's back with the living?" I said looking at Luna.
"Not quite you must pass certain trials before you can reach him and each one is more difficult than the last," She said looking at me a little confused.
"Luna, I do appreciate your help I really do, but it's kind of hard to listen to you when you have that thing just hanging there so could you put it away before we continue?" I asked trying not to look at her junk as it just hung out in the open.
"Sorry about that but I just finished visiting my mares earlier and you know how pregnant mares can be?" She said as I just looked at her.
"Egg Layers," I said pointing to myself.
"Oh, right sorry forgot but anyways the trials will be difficult the first will be the Trial of Wisdom," Luna said as I was thinking back to when we were talking about me free Bahamut.
I stood there looking up at the giant doors that would lead me to Tartarus and standing in the front of them was a lone figure.
"Halt, who goes there?" The figure yelled as it lowered it spear towards me.
Um I um I am Greg the Indomunis Rex I have come to free Bahamut the Dragon," I said as I looked at the Armored figurer.
"Before you pass through these gates you must and the question," He said taking a fighting stance before turning completely around. "Does this suit of armor make my butt look big?"
"Wait, what?" I asked looking at the figure as he shook his butt at me.
"I asked if this suit of armor makes my butt look big?" He said tilting his head at me.
I just stood there for a few minutes trying to think if this was a joke before I got pissed at this guy for wasting my time. "No, the armor doesn't make your butt look big your butt makes your butt look big," I said to him as I was getting madder by the second.
The armored figure turns back around to face me and stood there before he spoke again. " I see then maybe I should cut back on those late-night snacks never the less you may pass," He said stepping to the side as the doors opened.
"Wait a minute are you telling me I just passed the trial of wisdom?" I asked the guy.
"Yes, and to tell you the truth I kind of forgot what the real question was about four thousand years ago so um there you go now if you'll excuse me I going to take my lunch break," The guy said as he turned and started walking away.
I just stood there watching as the guy was walking away unable to believe the what just happened.
"Oh, you might want to hurry the door will be closing soon," He said waving back at me.
I turned and looked to see the door was closing so moving quickly I got through before it shut would on my tail. Standing there I was in awe, at the sheer size of the place it looked as if it went on forever. There were many different paths all leading to what looked like cells and cages. I stood there wondering where I was supposed to go when I heard a familiar voice calling to me.
"Huzzah, I knew you would make it for you are the wisest of all the Ancient Lords," Luna said as she descended from a hole in the ceiling.
I looked at her confused for a second before speaking. " Are you serious that first trial, was a joke I mean it was to test my wisdom and all I did was tell the guy his butt was big?" I said looking at her hoping she could give me an explanation.
" A truly wise man knows when the truth must be said even if it is hurtful to others," She said tilting her head at me.
I just stood there looking at her like she just grew a second head with a mustache and sombrero.
"Now you must follow the path to your next trial that of strength," She said pointing with her wing the path that magically lit up.
I took one step and stopped before I turned to look at Luna. "Wait a minute how did you get here I thought you had to go through the trials also?"
"No my sister and I may come and go from Tartarus freely it is just any other pony must transverse like all others," She said as if it was common knowledge.
I just rolled my eyes at that. "So any hint, on what the Trial of Strength is about?" I asked hoping she would tell me.
"I am sorry my friend but the Trial changes for each participant," She said looking down at the floor.
"Don't worry I'll get through this I know I will," I said as I waved to her as I started to follow the path to my next trial.
"I hate this God how long have I been walking. It feels like I've been on this path for days and I still haven't reached the end. If this keeps up I'm going to be too tired for the test of strength," I kept saying to my self for what seemed like days.
"It is a trial, not a test," A voice said out of nowhere.
"What who said that?" I asked looking around for the owner of the voice.
"Down here young Lord, though I have not seen one like you before, you still hold the power of one," The voice said.
I looked down to see a small creature kind of like Yoda but with purple skin and instead of elf ears it had ones that looked like elephant ones.
"Hi, um, are you the one, I'm supposed to meet about the trial of strength?" I asked not sure how this little guy is going to be stronger than me but stranger things have happened.
"Yes I am my name is Tarafurman and if you would like you can rest for some time before the trial begins," He said smiling up at me.
"Thank you for your kindness but I would like to start I wish to free one who was unjustly imprisoned and bring him back to his family who loves and misses him," I said smiling down at the little guy for being nice to me.
"Very well your trial shall begin now," Tarafurman said as he walked over to a boulder that was five times my size and picked it up without even showing a hint of strain before setting it back down. " Your trial is to lift this boulder off the ground do so and you shall pace to the next trial,"
I sat down in shock at what I just saw. How the hell was I going to lift that thing it had to way hundreds of tons. I could see any possible way to do it, and I slowly laid my self down on the ground.
"So it would seem that you have chosen to rest or is it you have given up?" Tarafurman said looking at me.
I just don't, how can I," I began to say only for the images of my mates and Celestia flashing in my head and the tear-filled expressions on their faces made it hurt even worse until my mind clicked back to school and ancient history. With a determined look, I stood back to my full height and smiled. " Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it and I shall move the world," I said as I looked around for what I needed.
Tarafurman just stood there a smile creeping across his face. "Wise words young one, Archimedes would be proud,' He said to himself.
I looked around and found what I needed and following the planes in my head, I got to making my lever. Digging a small hole under the boulder I slipped the long and when I say long I mean this thing was a good two hundred feet long piece of wood and don't ask me how I found it. Then I placed the fulcrum into place the only problem was I couldn't reach the end so I had to climb onto the log and carefully inch my way to the end. But eventually, I made it and to my joy, the boulder was lifted into the air though it was only a foot in the air hey still beggers can't be choosers. Making my way back as the rock touched the ground I heard clapping and laugher.
"Well done, well done Young Lord you have passed for strength is not only of the body but of the mind and will," He said as he stepped to the side as the large door opened behind him. "But know this the Trial of Courage is the most difficult it will test your very belief in all you hold dear," He said as he slowly faded away.
Stepping through the door I was greeted by a smiling Luna. " You past like I knew you would," She said as she flew up and hugged my face.
"It feels like I've been down here for a long time," I said what I was thinking out loud.
"You have my friend, I am sorry for not telling you this but you have been down here for three months it is nearly Hearth's Warming," She said making me stop in my tracks.
"What!" I nearly roared at her. "Three month's I've been down here for three months how when I said it felt like a long time I meant hours or days, not months," I said as I sat down. " Draca, Kirin, Freya, Triva, Spike, Barb, Ava, and the eggs I'm not there I haven't been there for them for three flipping months," I began to say before Luna grabbed my face with her hooves.
"Greg, do not worry they are all fine your family is fine," She said making me look her in her eyes. "Celestia has been helping her daughters and Spike has been helping in the hunts, in fact, Spike and Barb had grown close to th point when you return they will have their wedding," She said making me look surprised.
I couldn't believe it Spike and Barb were going to get married and start their own family but why not they already have a daughter. I just can't believe it all this is happening while I stuck down here in Pony Hell trying to get Celestia and my mate's husband and father back to them. All I know is I better get some unprotected sex from those four and a huge cake from Celly.
Getting up I began walking once again but this time I had a feeling like Tarafurman said this last trial will be the hardest thing I have ever faced. The path slowly began to drop down in an incline until I heard the sound of not one but many voices. As I walked I didn't see the wall of fog that I began passing through until it was too late.
"Well, well, well, look who's here the little crybaby," A voice said one I never wanted to hear again.
I turned to see my father standing there looking at me but instead of looking up he was looking straight at me. I couldn't understand at first until I saw my reflection I was human again. I didn't want to believe it but it was true I was human and I was back in my families home the same one I left those many years ago.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you boy or so help me I make you listen," He said as he now towered over me.
I couldn't move how could this happen was everything I experienced just a dream of a child? Were my dragon lovers just some fabrication of the mind Spike Barb Ava were they not real as well? I could think straight the fear of this man was making my mind cloud over. Then there was laugher turning I looked to see my siblings al standing there pointing at me and laughing.
"Look he going to cry, ah, pour baby do you want your, mommy?" The voice of my sister was heard.
I just lowered my head. "Their right I am just a baby I never could do anything. I was smart like sisters or good looking like my brothers I was just a waste of space in this family, " I thought to myself.
As the voices carried on I felt lower and lower until a small beam of light shone through the darkness of my mind. In the light, I could hear other voices ones that I at first didn't recognize all of them calling to me.
Don't give up my love.
Hearing these words over and over I felt my heart grow as well as my body until I towered over the forms of the ones who pretended to be my family.
With a mighty roar, I silenced the dark voices. "Your wrong, you didn't raise us you ruled over us with fear and cruelty but I have something you will never have," I said stomping over to tower over the figure of my father. "I have a family that truly loves me and you are nothing to me not anymore," I said roaring the last part as I swung my tail around hitting all of them and making them turn to dust.

"Oh, glorious day, you have done what you set out, for now, come with me my friend for all that is left is for you to forgive Bahamut and his soul will be set free," She said flying up to me and hugging my face making me blush.
I smile as we separate and I followed her to a lone cage what confused me most was the size of it. It looked as though it could hold something no bigger than a pony let alone a full-grown dragon. Squatting down I looked inside to see the ethereal form of a dragon his scales looked as if they matched all the girl's colors.
Clearing my throat to get his attention I finally got a good look at him even though his scale were a brilliant color his expression was that of someone who lost everything.
"Are you Bahamut?" I asked him making him look up from the floor of his cell.
"Yes, I am and who are," Was all he said before his eyes widened in shock. "You are an Ancient Lord but how my father was the last?" he said stepping closer to the bars.
"That would take some time let's just say I'm the new Dino in town for right now," I said once again clearing my throat. Bahamut son of Balthazar I Greg the Indominus Rex King of the Dinosaurs and master of the Ancient Lords do forgive you of the sin of killing an Ancient Lord and do hereby set you free," I said as I watched the bars on the cell disappear and for Bahamut to stand there finally free.
"Thank my Lord but what good is it to forgive me when I have nobody to return to for it must be nothing but bone now?" He said lowering his head once more only for Luna to chime in.
"Ah but there you are wrong for your body rests in Cantorlot and it awaits for your return as do five others who have missed you," She said floating down to stand in front of him.
"You are Princess Luna sister to my love," He said looking at the Alicorn of the night.
"Yes, I am and as I said your body awaits your return as does my sister and your daughters," She said spreading her wing to take flight. "Now we must go for it is Hearth's Warming and I believe that your return will be the greatest gift they could receive,"
"Um, Luna how are we going to get back in time it took me three months to get here?" I asked looking down at her.
With a mischievous smile, she lit up her horn and in a flash of light we found ourselves out in the world again but the place looked unknown to me. Looking around I saw that it was a garden and in front of us was a statue of a dragon but not any dragon it was Bahamut.
"Now return to your body so you may live again," She said pointing to the statue.
Without hesitation, Bahamut stepped closer to his statue until an unseen force pulled him into it after he was gone Luna lit her horn was more and released a beam of magic onto it making the stone crumble away leaving the flesh and blood body of Bahamut.
"I'm alive, I'm alive," He roared. "How can I ever repay you, my Lord?" He said turning to look up to me.
I just smiled but before I could say anything Luna interjected once again. I believe you can repay him by giving your blessing to him and your daughters but we must hurry," She said as she once again activated her magic and again in a flash, we were outside of the Nesting Grounds. I could hear the sounds of a party going on and making my way to the opening I saw that not only were my family there but all of the mane six and a few others as well.
Stepping into the grounds the music and noise stopped as all eyes fell on me. " Hi everyone I hope I didn't miss anything?" I said only to get tackled by my four lovely mates all asking the same thing of where I was this whole time. I tried to answer but another voice made them all step back as tears filled not only my Drakena's but Celestia's eyes.
"He had to pick me up so I could be with my family," Bahamut said as he stepped in the Nesting Grounds.
There was a loud scream and just like me, Bahamut was tackled to the ground but only by Celestia as she nuzzled and kissed her loving husband after all the years. After their heartfelt reunion did Draca and the others greeted their father with hugs and kisses. I got up and watched as this was happening with a goofy smile on my face only to have my vision blocked by a small form. Reaching up and carefully pulling it back then I recognized it being Ava as she smiled at me.
"Unca Geg home," She said as she giggled.
"Yes, I'm home you little Sparkshooter," I said holding her in my claw.
"Hey, bro, you wouldn't believe what happened while you were gone?" Spike said as he walked over to me.
I looked down at him and noticed a few things different, the first was he was no longer that puggy lite drake but tall and lean, about as tall as Luna and the other thing was he was holding an egg and it wasn't one of mine seeing as it was purple with green dots.
"I could imagine," Is aid pointing at the egg in his arm.
Spike looked down at it and blushed. "ya about that see while you were gone I had to step up and help out more and well Barb started to notices this and," He began to say before Ava cried out. "Daddy and Mommy gab me a baby Bruder or sister," Shutting him up and making him blush even more.
I just laughed at that and placed my claw on his shoulder. It's ok I think I get the gist of it, besides your a mature drake for your age and I was wondering how long it would take you to start your own family, little brother," I said smiling at he making him smile back.
Our conversation was interrupted by the sound of our mates calling to us turning I saw why Spike wanted to start a family with Barb that little Drakena grew up as well. Making our way over to them I passed Ava Spike before standing in front of Bahamut and Celestia both looking up to me. Just to clarify something Bahamut is as tall as Celestia's horn not counting his horns making him still taller so that's why they both look up to me. As for the others, Bahamut got to meet his mother once again as she pulled her son into a tearful embrace telling him it wasn't his fault.
"Greg, I can't tell you how grateful I am for what you did you made my family whole," Celestia said as she flew up and kissed my cheek.
"Your welcome princess and you don't owe me anything I did it because it was the right thing to do," I said stepping back to bow to them both. " And may I say you to look wonderful together," I said only to have my mates pull me into a group hug," But I will always think you four are the most beautiful sight any guy would love to see,"
That little phrase got all of them purring with Draca whispering in my ear that I still haven't gotten my Hearth's warming gift yet and it will be one to remember. So as the party continued in full swing my mates and I quietly snuck off to a secluded spot where I made love to each one of them, knowing this is where I belong and I will live my life with those I love.
As all of this was happening a lone figure stood in the shadows with pure hatred in its eyes as it watched only saying one thing. NEVER.

Just to let you know this is what Spike and Barb look like now.
Ok, I can understand that the Everfree forest plays by its own rules when it comes to the weather or pretty much the same as it is on Earth. But, when there are only two feet of snow in Ponyville and ten feet of the stuff just outside the Nesting Grounds. I think that's totally unfair I mean come on we only live like a mile inside the forest and we get that much of it. Mind you I'm not complaining, for myself but for the others and maybe a little for myself. Here's an example I had to walk back and forth through the snow just to make a trail that Spike and Barb could use to get to Twilights place and home. That wasn't the bad part the bad part was me almost freezing to death thanks to that snake and frog DNA of mine, reptiles and cold don't mix. Even though I'm more closely related to birds than lizards but it was still freezing, I was just glad that my girls were there to warm me up.
" That's it, I'm not moving from this spot until it's Spring," I said as Draca and Triva both laid next to me draping their wings over me like blankets.
"Well, I sorry but that's not going to happen," Freya said as she breathed hot air over the nests keeping the eggs warm. "Remeber you have to go to Canterlot and see dad and mom about some important stuff,"
"Yeah, I remember the last time we talked I had to explain why Celestia had that fifth leg and how her secretary was pregnant. And how and where she and Luna got the idea from, that was so much fun ," I thought to myself remembering how I crossed all of Equestria in record time being chased by a crazed dragon blaming me for turning his wife into a shemale only to find out he liked taking it up the plothole.
"Can't we just not go and say we tried?' I said looking over at her only to yelp from Kirin nipping my tail as she circled around to my front.
"So I take it, you're not going to escort four sexy young Drakena to Canterlot where we might meat some handsome Drake who might sweep us off out claws," She said as she stepped close to me batting her lashes.
I just rolled my eyes. "First off, Kirin, the four of you are now MILF's. Hot and sexy MILF's but still and the second thing is if any Drake even tried to hit on any of you I would go Godzilla on his scaly ass," I said looking at her with a serious expression.
"Who's Godzilla?" Triva asked lifting her head looking at me.
"Remeber when he told us about that giant dinosaur that was mutated by radiation and went on a rampage in Toy Ka Oh," Draca said as she turned to look at her sister.
I just turned and looked at her as she smiled remembering the story. "Close enough ," I thought to myself.
"Alright fine, we'll go but who's going to watch the nest while we're gone the eggs are at a delicate state and shouldn't be moved," I said as I just laid there not really wanting to move.
"Well thanks to Rarity and Twilight but mostly Rarity we have now the first of many over the shoulder carriers for the eggs," Kirin said as she showed off the carrier.
"And the best part is it's has a fireproof spell on them so we can carry heated rocks with us to keep the eggs nice and toasty," Triva said showing me one of the other carriers.
"Alright if that's all taken care of when do we leave?" I asked hoping it was after I warmed up.
"In about two hours that way Spike, Barb, Ava, and their egg can join us after all dad considers Spike our brother so that makes Ava his first Grandchild so you have enough time to warm up," Draca said as she scooted closer to me.
"Good, good just one more question ow are we getting there?" I asked, as the four of them just giggled. "Ok, whats so funny?"
"Silly the five of us are going to fly so the eggs stay warm and out of the elements as much as possible and as for you and Spike you'll have to take the train," Freya said as she moved over and climbed on my back helping the others warm me up.
"Oh come on, that's not fair the only place I can ride is that storage car and the things not isolated I'll freeze," I roared as Kirin was the last to climb on me like the others.
"Ah, poor baby, we could always see if mom could teleport you there?" Draca said kissing my cheek knowing damn well I hate teleporting it always makes me sick.
"No, I'll ride the train but I won't like it,' I said sounding more like a child.
"Don't worry Spike will stay with you and we even got you a scarf to wear," Triva said showing me a scarf that looked like it was from that show Doctor... what's his name again?
"Great at least my neck will stay warm while the rest of me freezes," I thought to myself looking at the multicolored monstrosity.
Well, it's time for us to head to Canterlot I mean it's time for me and Spike to freeze to death riding the train to Canterlot. That is what I would be saying if I hadn't seen what the Station Ponies did for us. First off I would like to say the scarf actually is helping and it has mittens on the ends for my claws neat. But like I said the Station Ponies went above and beyond they put a small portable magic heater in the storage car and laid down some stray for us so that's a big plus. After kissing our girls goodbye we climbed into the storage car and waited for the train to take us to Canterlot.
"So how are things going at Twilights?" I asked Spike trying to keep us from becoming completely bored.
Fine even though both her a Rarity are started to show a lot more in the pregnancies and they keep saying their even hornier now that ever," Spike said as he shuddered from the last thing he said.
"That's normal for mares to get like that but you do know you could just have Barb go there if it gets too much for you I don't think Twilight would mind," I said looking at him.
"I know but it would feel weird if I wasn't there to help in some way," He said looking up at me.
"I know that but you also have to remember that you have your own family to take care of and they will always come first even if Twilight did hatch you Barb, Ava, and your egg are the most important things to you right now," I said making him sit back and think about it.
We sat there just talking about this and that when the car suddenly lunged forward to a stop. after righting ourselves we looked at each other.
"We can't be in Canterlot already can we I asked as Spike got up and opened the door and hopped out to see what was up.
A few minutes later he came back panting with a panicked look on his face.
"Griffon bandits they took over train looking for you said going to kill you for bits," He said trying to catch his breath.
"Are you sure?" I asked getting a nod in return.
"What are we going to do they said they're looking for you but I don't think that they know well you're, you," Spike said gesturing to my body.
Sitting there I thought about what he said these bandits are probably looking for a small dragon named Greg not me so that gives us an advantage.
"Ok, I got it, I want you to open both sides doors and after I make some tracks in the snow, I want you to get to the riding cars and tell them where I am or was. You might have to lead them here and I'll do the rest I hope," I said looking down at him.
Doing as I instructed Spike opened both doors before he took off to do what I asked. And after that, I climbed out of the storage car and took a few steps from the train into the woods where I stepped back into my own prints until I climbed back into the car removed my scarf and activated my camouflage disappearing in the darkness of the storage car and waited.
Spike made his way to the passenger car and took a deep breath before entering only to have a crossbow shoved in his face.
"Looks like we hit the jack-pot boys no need to keep lookin'," The griffon hold the crossbow said calling back to the others
"Hold on guys I'm not him but I'll show you where he's hiding," Spike said trying to stay calm.
"And why would you do that I thought all you dragons stuck together or something?" Another Griffon asked stepping closer.
Spike swallowed hard knowing he hated to say this but it was to protect the passengers. "That slimy salamander just used me to get to the ponies and now he keeps us in line with fear of being eaten,"
The other passengers from Ponyville knew this wasn't true Greg was the Kindest Dinosaur or dragon they have ever met next to Spike but they played along and agreed with him.
"Alright then show us and no funny business," The one with the crossbow said as Spike lead the way to the storage car.
All total there were twelve Griffons all with either a spear, sword, or crossbow. As Spike lead them to the car I waited patiently but not inside I opted to reposition myself on top of the car just glad it wasn't snowing.
Slowing my breath I watched as they got closer and as expected one of them broke off and moved to check the inside of the car. Looking around he didn't see anything then noticing the other door was open he made his way through to the otherside. Out of sight of the rest, he saw the tracks I made but stopped before following them.
"Any sign of him in there?" Another griffon asked yelling at the one by himself.
"Not inside but there are some tracks leading to the forest," He yelled back as I slowly lowered my head down still unseen to stop just above him.
"Check it out and hurry it's colder than a Bitches Tit out here," The presumed leader said.
But there was no answer for as the lone griffon was about to take a step two massive jaws came down around him with a bit force strong enough to crush every bone in his body at once and killing him instantly without even a sound escaping his beak.
A few crunching noises could be heard but to the griffons, it sounded more like footsteps.
"Hey did you find anything?" The leader called out not getting an answer.
He moved closer to the car raising his crossbow until he was at the door. As he was about to look inside he felt something lightly hit his talon. looking down he saw a red dot then another it was blood drops. Getting a little scared he turned to look up to where the droplets were coming from. Adjusting his eyes he finally could see a shape of something invisible but this thing was massive. The silents was broken, by a low and fearful growl making all the griffons look in fear as a large form began to appear before them with razor sharp teeth and the traces of griffon feathers around its bloodstained mouth.
"Gentlemen I'd like to introduce you to my big brother Greg," Spike said as he hit the griffon next to him making the bird fall, as Spike turned and jump behind a large boulder nearby.
The other griffons just stood there in shock and confusion until the leader yelled. "He can go invisible!"
This shook the others out of their stopper but not before I jumped down landing on the leader crushing him under my foot killing him.
With a mighty roar, I made my move attacking with the same ferocity as a true Indominus Rex would. Swiping my tail I struck three of them with enough force their bodies exploded into clouds of feathers and blood. Not stopping I grabbed one in each hand or claw and brought them up to my mouth biting down on them cutting them in two. As this was happening the survivors were using their weapons on me with no luck. Swords and spears trying to pierce and cut my think scaley hide, was almost laughable but all it did was piss me off more. One after another they each fell to my attacks until the last one a large griffon with a crossbow stood there. He raised it up and took aim ready to finish what they were hired for. I was ready to move in when a wall of green flames engulfed the griffon making him scream out in pain as he was being burned alive.
I turned to look where the flame came from only to see Spike standing there looking so smug.
"Hey, I can't let you have all the fun," He said as he walked past the still burning griffon.
I smiled down at him only for him to look up and laugh. "Dude you might want to wash up a little you got some griffon well everywhere," He said making me laugh along with him.
So with some help from a couple of unicorns, we got some water and washed up making sure there was no trace of blood on us or the train cars. After that, we were back on track as it were to Canterlot.
Spike and I both had no idea how we were going to explain this to the girls without them freaking out about it. The conductor and all the passengers said they could say a large tree was on the tracks and Spike and I helped to remove it and that's why it took us so long to get here. But we knew it wouldn't be right to lie so we just sucked it up and told them the truth.
And I will say this some time honesty is the best policy because after we told them the truth Barb pulled Spike into a room and my girls did the same to me. After that, they all made sure neither of us had any wounds and if we did they would kiss them and make them feel better and I had wounds so many all over my body and they hurt so bad.
On a mountaintop overlooking Canterlot, a lone figure stood it's clawed fist clenched in rage as it looked down upon the city.
"I will not stop until the last of your kind is whipped from the face of this world Greg and only dragons remain and as for you Bahamut I still haven't forgotten how you humiliated me all those years ago you too will pay," The figure said as it spread its mighty wings and took off roaring in anger at another failure.
"How long does winter last here anyway?" I groaned as I looked outside the Nesting Grounds to see more snow on the ground.
For some strange reason that I'm not going to argue with. Inside the giant circle of thorned briers and trees, no snow had fallen in fact the temperature never dropped below six-five degrees. Mind you there was the wind that blew but it wasn't as cold as it was outside the grounds it was as if the Everfree forest was somehow protecting us. Let me give you an example we had a pack of Timberwolves decided to try their luck at getting our eggs they failed but the thorn bushes around the edge got damaged and within minutes the stuff grew back thicker even.
"What was that dear?" Draca asked me as a laid there at the opening of the grounds you know what I just going to call it what it's our home so the opening is the door.
"I said how long is winter going to be here?" I said as I was lying at the door looking at the snow sulking.
"Winter Rap-Up will be here in a week so just be patient," Kirin said as she finished eating the sauropod I brought back this morning.
"If you're bored go to town and visit our friends they haven't seen you in some time and you can pick up Spike too," Barb said as she was turning her egg as Ava sat there sucking on her own tail.
"Fine, it's not like I've got anything else to do, hey wait why do I have to get Spike?" I said getting up and heading out.
"Well he went to help Twilight and then he was going to the Gem fields for us but I just don't like him going alone not with the word of Diamond Dogs sighted near town," Barb said picking up Ava in her arms.
"Ok, ok, I get it, I'll go but I'm not digging this time, the last time I did we hit a pocket of natural gas and when it blew it nearly sent us into orbit," I said shaking at the thought.
"Oh, poor baby but when you got home the four of us took real good care of you remember?" Triva said walking over to me nuzzling my neck.
"Yeah I remember and if you keep that up I might not want to leave," I said taking a step back.
Looking back once more I headed into town finding out that instead of being below freezing it was just above it so that was good and having my scarf did help. Walking the now well-used path into town I did stop by at Zecora's to visit but it turns out she wasn't home she went to visit her family in Zebraca lucky mare gets to be warm. Hey don't look at me like that, I let you know this, during the winter Zebraca is like seventy degrees during the day and fifty at night perfect weather so yeah I'm a little pissed can you blame me?
Getting close to town I could hear the sound of kids playing, as they're screaming with joy wait you don't scream with joy somethings not right. Moving quietly well as quietly as a sixty-ton omnivorous theropod could move, which is surprisingly stealthy, lion stalking prey stealthy don't ask I still haven't figured that out yet. Anyways I went camouflage forgetting I still had my scarf on that was until I heard a familiar voice calling to me.
"Greg, Greg is that you sugarcube?" The voice said as I looked around to see Applejack as she was hiding in an alley.
"Yeah, it's me how did you know I was here I went camo?" I said only for her to reach up and grab my scarf pulling it off me. "Oh hehe sorry, I forgot about that,"
Now ain't the time for joking we got ourselves in quite a pickle," She said looking saddened.
"What happened is anypony hurt?" I asked making only my head visible.
"I don't rightly know all of it but I do know that some dragons, griffons, and those low down no good Caribou are in town rounding up everypony for something bad I just know it and Apple Bloom is with em',"She said as tear filled her eyes.
Don't worry AJ I save Bloom and everyone else now I want you to take everyone you got here and head to the nest and stay there until it safe," I said looking at her then to the other ponies hiding behind her.
With a nod, AJ took off with the others following behind hiding my head again I moved through the town finding more ponies telling them to do the same. I started to worry as I haven't seen Spike or the other mane six.
"Release me at once you ruffian," A voice Greg knew all to well cried out.
I moved, around the town until I found her, Rarity was being dragged over to a large cage that was filled with mare and fillies by a reindeer or is it a caribou hell they both look the same. I noticed that there was another cage this one had only stallions and colts in it. I froze in midstep when two of the deer were walking under me.
"So what are we doing with the males?" One of them asked.
"Nothing we're here for the mares the dragons said they'll take um said something about good meat," The other said back.
Hearing this got me angry how could they do this? I mean from what I heard Caribou believe in male superiority to an extreme and the griffons are here for the plundering but to hear dragons talk about ponies as food just turned my stomach. I had to do something but I needed to make sure the townsponies were safe.
Sneaking around some more I finally found Spike he was holding his own against a deer and two griffons while protecting the CMC and an unconscious Twilight. But, he was losing ground, I needed to get there and help him but I knew the two of us couldn't take on three grown dragons, ten deer, and twenty armed griffons so I had to call ing the cavalry. Nesting Grounds
Barb was just sitting there playing with Ava when she heard a strange sound looking around he saw the others getting up and preparing to take off.
"Hey what the buck was that?" She asked Draca.
"That was Greg calling for help," Draca said as she looked at her sisters, then to Barb. "Stay here we'll be back as soon as we can," She said as the four of them took off heading to Ponyville.
As Barb watched them leave she realization hit if Greg was in trouble then Spike would be also this caused her to begin to worry. She was about to join them when she heard someone call out."Is any dragon here?"
Looking to the door Barb saw Applejack and a large number of ponies standing there.
"Applejack what happened why are all of you here?" She asked walking over to give the farmpony a hug.
"Ponyville is under attack we are the only ones that got out safe I just wish I could of, helped more but," Applejack said trailing off as she looked at Barb then to the two dozen scared ponies with her.
"It's alright Applejack you did what you could but Spike what happened to him is he safe?" Barb said hugging her friend once more before she started getting worried about her mate.
"He's fine, shoot the dragon has gotten tougher ever since he met you and Greg," Applejack said trying to reassure the young Drakena.
"I know but I'm still worried," Barb said as she showed the ponies where they could rest.
Back in Town
Spike and I had just taken care of the three invaders and I will say this venison is now one of my favorite types of meat and yes griffon does taste like chicken. Oh, I know that look you're sitting there thinking I'm a hypocrite for complaining about dragons wanting to eat ponies while I stand here eating a deer and two griffons. Well, you're right but when it comes to protecting my friends and family all bets are off. After my little snack, we moved out having the CMC and Twilight ride on my back until I could find a place to hide them. Unfortunately, that meant I couldn't go invisible so it wasn't a surprise that they spotted me in less than two minutes. To be honest I think they were looking for me the whole time my first clue was when a group of griffons saw me they squawked pointing in my direction and the second was when the lead deer yelled: "There he is!"
Now for the old cliche so there we were surrounded as the villains closed in but like a gift from heaven my four best girls came down landing in a circle around me and Spike all growling and giving off smoke and flames from their mouths. I have to say one thing they looked really sexy right then but now was not the time for that.
"We heard you call," Draca said before she bore her teeth at some griffons.
"Are you alright our love?" Freya asked not taking her eyes off the invaders.
I'm fine, we're fine," I said as Spike helped the now conscious Twilight off my back. Twilight I want you if you can to teleport everypony out of town now and don't come back until Spike comes and gets you understand," I said not looking at her.
There was I flash and the words good luck were spoken before the only ones left in town were my mates, Spike, myself, and our new friends soon to be new chew toys.
As I looked over at the other dragons I felt the same emotions from that dream I had not so long ago feeling the anger boil up inside of me, I let out the loudest roar ever heard in Equestria, in fact, they say it was heard in Yakyakistan.
This had multiple effects the first it made all the evil guys back up with fear in their eyes even the dragons the second thing it made my mates and Spike stand with confidence and pride the last thing it did was put me into an almost berzerker state. Leaping over the girls I ran full speed at the largest dragon taking him by surprise as I tackled him to the ground and proceeded to tear into him figuratively and literally.
It was the dragon's roar that broke everyone out of their shock and the fight began. Spike rushed in belching a wall of green flames on two deer not allowing them any time to summon their black magic. Draca moved over and took on the second dragon though he happily chuckled at this until he saw the ferocity in her eyes the same eyes of an Ursa Major protecting her cud. The third dragon got double teamed by Freya and Triva as they both released their own elemental fires.
Yeah, I found this out just after Hearth's Warming see the girls, being both the daughters of Bahamut and Celestia gave them certain abilities namely elemental flames.
As the fighting continued Big Gray that's what I'm calling the dragon I'm fighting well the bastard used a cheap move wrapping his tail around my neck he pulled me off him. Once free the jerk took off flying so he could stay away from me, coward can't even fight a lone dinosaur who can't fly. Luckily Kirin was able to get behind him using her claws she ripped his wing membrane making one of his wings useless. Crashing to the ground I ran over jumping onto his back and latching onto his neck just behind his head. With all the force I could get I bit down until the sound of bones cracking could be heard then a loud crunch and nothing no movement Big Gray was dead. With that, I turned my attention to the Deer and Griffons to help Spike as the girls could handle the other dragons. We continued to fight making sure we kept the buildings around us from being destroyed mostly although I think Rarity will be pissed after she sees what happened to her boutique.
We were more or less at a stalemate as the fighting went on but that changed when Celestia, Luna, Bahamut, and a Battalion of Royal Guards showed up to turn the tide. Let's just say this Luna was really pissed that both Twilight and Rarity were hurt and I never saw a brown deer turn pale white after hearing her yell before or any other creature for that matter.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl-45fPO85A
"Vile beast you shall feel the full power of darkness for what you had done! " Luna Yelled nearly make all of us go deaf.
The remaining bag guys tried to run or fly but that wasn't happening Pegisi Guards covered the air while Unicorn and Earthponies had their weapons trained on them. In the end, there were only two Caribou, four Griffons, and one dragon remaining. I did care about any of that I like the Royals wanted to know why they have attacked the town.
"We will only ask this once why did you come and attack Ponyville?" Celestia said in a voice that was filled with malice while her horn glowed. "Well?"
It was a griffon that spoke up. "We were told Ponyville had a large hoard of gold and if we took out this Greg pony we could have it the Caribou were told they could have all the mares the dragons were here for backup," He said in a shaky voice.
"Who told you this?" Luna said stepping over to the griffon.
Before the griffon could answer a plume of flames engulfed him killing him. We turned to see the surviving dragon standing there with a smirk on his face.
"Looks like you'll never know that Princess," He said smugly.
I roared and attacked him standing over him I looked down. "And it looks like you'll never fly again," I said before looking at Triva. "Triva do it,"
Triva was hesitant at first but she walked over taking a deep breath she ready herself.
"What's she going to do burn me, my wings will heal after being burnt," The dragon confidently.
"True but my mate isn't going to burn your wings she's going to melt them," I said making the dragons expression change.
Triva released a small mist of her acid flame and the screams of pain as the wings of the dragon began to dissolve were unnerving, to say the least, but we wanted the truth and if this was the only way to get it then so be it.
All present stood there and watched as this was happening a couple of griffons, a deer, and a few ponies threw up and past out from seeing it even the Royals were trying hard to keep their composure.
I just stood there no expression on my face the guy had his chance and he blew it. I know this sounds heartless but like I said before you mess with my family and friends I will kill you. After he passed out from the shock and pain I turned to look at the rest of them stomping over to tower in front of them I growled.
"Now, who told you to come here?" I said growling as I showed my teeth still covered in blood and flesh of their comrades.
"The Dragon Lord the Dragon Lord told us to come and if we found Greg we were to kill him!" The remaining ones still standing yelled out.
I didn't respond to that, I just turned to my mates and Spike. "We're going home now," Is all I said as I turned and headed back to the forest the other following me.
"That son of a worm when I get my claws on him!" Bahamut roared after his daughters and their mate was gone.
"Now, my love, we don't know if what they say is true," Celestia said trying to calm her husband. But it it is then he will fell the full force of Equestria and the sun," She said for a moment appearing as Daybreaker. But for now, let us gather these misguided souls and take them to Canterlot and inform their respected countries of their imprisonment,"
With that, the Guards began rounding them up and placing them in chains. as this was happening Luna had departed to seek out her herd to see that they were ok.
Walking there the forest no one said a word all of them too afraid to have Greg snap at them as he still was letting off a small amount of the Nightmare Force.
"Why, why does stuff like this hafta happen, I finally found a place to call home surrounded by the ones I love?" I said stopping in the middle of the trail slumping down.
It was Spike who spoke up. "Listen I know it seems like life is dealing you a bad hand all of the time but you can't give up you have a family to take care of and this spring it's going to get bigger when the eggs hatch and if you think about it you're bringing back a long-lost race that was revered for their power and wisdom," He said looking up at me smiling.
"He is right our love you are needed and we love you no matter what," The girls all said making me feel better.
Canterlot Throne Room
So it is true Scorch is responsible for this attack but would it be wise for us to declare war on the Dragonlands?" Celestia asked looking at her husband.
"We don't have to, in fact, there away we can beat him without fighting," Wrath said as she stepped into the throne room.
"How can we do that mother?" Bahamut said as he greeted his mother with a cheek nuzzle.
"Simple you send him a letter detail the knowledge of the attack and to prevent a war demand an Obsidme Tibutum in the form of his daughter Ember," Warth said looking at them with a devilish grin.
"Wait, he has a daughter what Darkena in her right mind would want to have a coward like him as a mate?" Bahamut said in shock at finding out about the Dragon Lord.
"It was a forced mating," She said with a growl. "It's the only way other than an all-out war,"
"Very well but if we do this then I want her to be under the protection of Spike," Celestia said looking at her husband and mother in law.
That evening in the Dragonlands a roar and plume of flames rose up into the sky. "Curse you Celestia you fatass cow!" Scorch roared after being given the letter of the demands for peace by Celestia to him from Wrath once more in disguise.
"Forgive me my lord but we do not see any other option other than all-out war the Princess even said no harm will come to your daughter and she will be taken care of by one of Celestia most trusted allies," Warth said hiding a smirk on her face under the hood. "Or would you prefer to send your dragons to their death we would surely lose, oh, great and wise Scorch,"
"So be it, have her be ready to leave by dawn but Warth you are to accompany her as her guard and report back any information you can gather understood<" Scorch growled at the idea of handing his daughter over to ponies as a way to prevent a war.
"As you wish my lord," Warth said bowing only she was laughing on the inside as the first stage of her plan had been taken.
The next morning the house was awakened by Spike belching out a letter from the princesses.
"Dude that can't be healthy," I said as Spike unrolled the letter to read it.
"Used to it besides that flame can't even light a match," He said as he began reading the letter out loud.
Dear Everyone...
I am glad you are all safe and healthy after what had happened yesterday and I know most of you are still upset.
But I only hope you do not let your anger consume you for I bring you news.
We have proven that Dragon Lord Scorch was the one behind everything that has happened we have found a way to prevent an all-out war between our lands.
That is by an old custom by the means of one side giving up a high-level hostage to maintain peace this individual will remain with us until such time has been decided for their return home.
Now you are wondering why I have sent this letter to you explaining this, for the one chosen is Scorches own daughter Princess Ember and I have decided that she will be under your care Spike with the help of Greg and my daughters as well as Barb.
I only hope that with all of you she will understand what true honor and compassion are.
Now I know that Spike is reading this letter out loud and for the rest, I ask that only he and Greg be privy to what is read next.
At that spike and I move away from the others to finish the letter.
Now Greg I know you must be confused about this and truly think I do not care for you but you are wrong you are more dear to me than just the mate of my daughters you are my son and I only ask that you give this young drakena a chance.
As for you Spike when Ember arrives in four days you must challenge her for superiority and win.
I know you must be confused at this moment but please understand if you, no, when you win Ember will be subjugated to you and by the dragonlaw becomes your second mate.
Please, Spike, I know you have grieves about this but it is the only way to end Scorches actions against all of Equestria and its inhabitants.
After he finished reading Spike and I just looked at each other without saying a word I could see the gears in his head begin to turn then the realization hit and the guy fell back on his butt.
"What is she thinking I mean I already have Barb does she really think I need another mate so soon?" Spike said looking up at me.
I didn't get a chance to answer him as barb came over picking up the letter and reading it herself only to stand there with an unrecognizable expression on her face.
"Barb sweetie um you ok?" Spike asked his mate as he slowly moved towards her.
"Fine, if she wants this to happen that's fine, but I'll be damned if little miss princess thinks she'll be top drakena in our family I and Ava first mother and I laid our first egg so that makes me in charge," Barb said as she walked back over to the nest picking up Ava and holding her on her hip looking back at Spike.
"Absolutely, of course, no question about that," Spike said after I bumped him to say something.
"Well said my good Drake and remember never let them see you sweat it'll bring out the Beast in them," I said only to feel four icy stares from my not so amused mates I just stood there looking at them before I turned gabbing Spike and high tailed it out of there.
"And where do you think you're going?' Draca roared at me.
"Spike and I were going to the gem fields remember, don't wait up I love you," I said without missing a beat as I ran faster than ever before with Spike hanging on to my arms for dear life.
Standing there Draca could only smile as she watched her mate and little brother race off she then thought about what was in the letter and knowing that the young Ember is in for a wild ride, especially with this family.
As requested by Celestia for the next four days Spike was taught combat skills by the four older Drakena. While this was happening Barb and I sat back and watched for two reasons. First I had no idea what dragon combat was like being a dinosaur I felt that the two styles were very different as mine is bloodier and theirs is just a show of strength. The second reason was the eggs were getting ready to hatch as the sounds of chirping could be heard in the nests, that and Barb was already Spikes mate so she didn't have to worry.
A loud "UMFFF" caught our attention looking over I watched as Spike laid on the ground breathing heavy with Freya standing over him.
"Come, Spike, get up and try it again this time stay focused," The lite blue dragoness said looking down at him.
"That's easy for you to say when you don't have a tail as big as a tree swinging towards you," Spike said getting up.
"I hope you know young drake my tail is not as think as a tree and for an insult like that you will have to run one hundred laps around our home and do fifty fire breaths (fire breaths are push-ups but using a dragon's flame to lift them)," Freya said looking a little pissed about the fat joke and yes to a drakena tail thickness if a fat joke.
Hearing my mate say that all I could do was think of a certain song quietly humming it as I picture the four of them shaking their butts.
And for a dinosaur that's sexy.
"Greg, Greg!" A voice called snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Hu wha," I said looking around only to stop when I saw Draca staring at me.
"I asked if you were alright you were just bobbing your head and humming?" She said as she moved over to me.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine just thinking about some stuff," I told her as I stood up stretching out. " Is anyone getting hungry?" I asked as the last pop was heard from my stretch.
"No, but since you're up could you go to Fluttershy's and see if the baby formula arrived?" Triva said as she went back to helping with Spike's training.
I had to think about what she meant with baby formula until it hit me hatchlings can't eat solid foods as in chunks of meat for the first week even dino's so they had to have a pulp like a meal of meats, fruits, and vegetables it was the Equestrian version of Gerber Baby Food but they called it Grr-Brr Hatchling Food.
I'm on it be back soon and girls don't push Spike too hard you know about us males, we got a think tough hide that can take any abuse but a soft underbelly that loves being rubbed," I said making all of them including Ava look at me strangely. What never heard of a male getting in touch with his feminine side," I said as I turned my pigment to a bright pink then back to normal. "After all real males were pink and are proud of it."
Without a word more I left only to hear everyone start to laugh before they went back to work. Walking along the path I thought back to all the things that had happened since I got here. One of the weirdest was when I met Discord actually that was quite informative it turns out that the Ancient Lord thing even covered acts from a Draconequus well that and me being made from different types of Dino DNA made me somewhat immune to his Chaos Magic, me being a form of chaos as well. But the day we met was still funny.
Two Days After Hearth's Warming.
I was making my way to town grumbling about the cold when I see something small heading my way and if you're wondering how I could see it remember I have Enhanced Thermoception or Inferred Vision part Pit Viper. So anyways I recognized who it was, Angel Bunny and he was moving fast.
"Hey there, little guy what's the rush?" I asked only to have him do his pantomiming thing which I could never figure out. " Ok is something wrong at Fluttershy's place?" I asked getting a nod.
Reaching down I scooped him up in my claws and made my way to my best friend's house. If your wondering in order of best friends it goes Fluttershy and Luna, Applejack and Pinkie, Twilight and Celestia, Rarity and Rainbow Dash. As for guy friends I only have three Mr. Cake, Big Mac, and Time-Turner, and don't say what about the CMC or Spike see them as my little brother and sisters so they're in a whole different list but I'm rambling sorry.
Like I said I scooped up the little guy and made my way to Flutter's house. When I got there I had this feeling that something was off but I couldn't tell what it was, as for Angel he hopped down and ran it to the house. A few seconds later I heard someone yell what, before there were footsteps coming to the front door.
Before I showed up at Fluttershy's house.
"Now Discord do you promise to be nice when you meet my friend Greg and not do like you did with Treehugger?" Fluttershy said as she walked over to her Draconequus friend.
"Fine, fine I won't do anything to this Greg when she arrives you have my word," Discord said bowing to the butter-colored mare.
"Greg's not a mare silly he's a stallion well not a stallion but a male," Fluttershy said trying not to laugh.
Discord, on the other hand, was surprised and then angry at learning another male has caught his Flutter's affection even though he would never admit it.
"So what is this Greg like?" Discord asked trying to hind his anger.
"Oh, he is just so sweet and kind he always wants to help others," Fluttershy said making Discord's anger grow.
As they were talking Angel came inside and signaled to Fluttershy that Greg was here to see her. Upon finding out this Discord quickly stepped outside only to bump into a very large object making him fall backward.
"Sorry about that I hope you're alright?" A voice said to the Draconequus.
"I will be as soon as you are gon...," Discord started to say as he got up dusting himself off only to come face to face with a very large set of teeth.
Seeing this he jumped back yelling for Fluttershy to hide as he dealt with this monster snapping his talons Discord was now in a set of mismatched armor wielding a sword.
Seeing this I stood back up moving away as he swung the sword at me. Not knowing what was going on my instincts took over and I got ready to fight. Letting out a growl I bared my claws and teeth as my color changed to that of my predatory form.
He charged at me swinging his sword as I moved to try to talk but never getting a chance. "Hey, what the, will you just, come on I, whoa that was close,"
As this was happening I was getting mad if this guy wouldn't listen to reason then I'd make him. Jumping back enough I took a deep breath and let out an ear-piercing roar that had enough force to push him back. Getting back to his feet he began to float in the air with a grin on his face.
"So the big bad dragon thinks he can scare me," He said snapping his talons making the armor disappear. "Well then monster I will make you regret showing up here and threatening my friend," He said snapping his talons again but to both of our surprise, nothing happened.
"Look I don't know who you think I am but I, not a dragon," I growled at him.
Discord didn't listen to me as he kept snapping his talons then his paw and finally his tail with the same effect of nothing.
"I don't get it why isn't it working my magic has never failed me before?" Discord said to himself.
I got tired of this so I reached out and grabbed him pinning him to the ground. "Look I've been trying to tell you I am not a dragon my name is Greg and I'm a Dinosaur," I yelled only for him to roll his eyes.
That's a load of horseapples there aren't any dinosaurs left and if you were one then my magic wouldn't work on you..." Discord said when it hit him like a ton of bricks (seriously a ton of bricks fell on top of him) that every time he tried his magic it didn't work. After digging himself out of the pile Discord looked up at me and then to Fluttershy who only nodded. "Well, I'll be a monkey's third cousin twice removed," He said still blinking.
While this was happening Fluttershy stood there tapping her hoof looking at both of us. "Excuse me but don't you both have something to say to each other?"
Looking at her then each other we both apologized but did it in a very manly way. To say we just bumped fist\claw and grunted.
Clearing my throat to change the subject. "So um, Fluttershy the girls wanted me to come by and see if the order of baby food had shown up,"
"Oh my, I'm terribly sorry Greg but I got a message this morning that it won't be here for a few days the creates are still in Cantorlot," She said looking a little sad at feeling she let me down.
"That's alright Fluttershy thank you again for helping," I said lifting the mare spirits. "Hey I have an idea how about I just go to Cantorlot and pick the creates it would save time and bits," I said patting myself on the back for the idea.
"Woah there, that is a bad idea and I came up with tons of bad ideas," Discord said floating up in front of my face. "First you going to Cantorlot," He said holding up a finger. "Second You Going To Cantorlot," He said holding up two fingers. "Third you going and more than likely running into a bunch of Neighpine tourists who are going to take one look at you and run screaming Gojira, Gojira," Discord said matter of factly.
I just stood there looking at him before shaking my head. "You do know that is a little racist right? And besides, the Princesses told all of Equestria about me so I don't think anything should go wrong," I said knowing I just knocked on the front door of Murphy's house.
Let me set the stage for you I went back home and told the girls about the creates and my idea of going to pick them up. They were at first apprehensive but I wore them down with my superior logic. Which meant I just whined and begged until they caved. Yes males one females a hundred and something, don't ask. But like I said after having Spike send a message to the princesses I made my way to the train station. Hopping in the storage car and moments I was on my way to Cantorlot. Two hours later no two of the most boring hours later I finally made it there getting out of the car and stepping over the station gate. I was in Cantorlot the capital of Equestria which was now as silent as a tomb. Because every single pony just stopped what they were doing when they saw me and I'm not joking when I said they stopped what they were doing. I saw three pegasuses dropped out of the sky lucky for them they landed on something soft enough to break their fall. Looking around I started to panic but then I remembered the magic of this world. So I closed my eye and took a deep breath wishing for the music and when it started I began to sing.

Surprizing it made everypony relax and they sang and danced along, go figure. I finally made my way to the castle for two reasons first I wanted to say hi to the royals and second I kind of forgot to ask where the shipping place was located.
"Hazaah greeting Sir Greg and welcome to Cantorlot pry tell there is nothing wrong?" Luna said as she greeted me at the castle gates. You are not still suffering from the nightmare?" She asked concerned.
"Thank you, Luna, for the welcome, and no I haven't had that thing for some time," I said looking down at her. " What I'm here for is to pick up the creates of baby food Fluttershy told me they were having shipping problems so I came to pick them instead," I said leaning down closer to her. Plus I forgot to ask where the place was,"
"Of course let me let Tai know and I will show you show the way," Luna said smiling.
A few minutes later we were on our way luckily for me or I should say the ponies that Luna had some guards clear a path. Reaching our destination we found out why the creates weren't shipped. The owner of the shipping company was a crook and wanted more bits. He even told Luna that she couldn't do anything because he was well within his rights.
Luna just nodded and turned to the door calling for me. " Mister manager I would like you to meet the father of the babes you want to starve," She said stepping out of the stallion's way so he could see my head sticking through doors.
Staring at him I showed a feral grin. "Hi," Was all I said before he started to yell for his workers to get all the creates set outside to be picked up and to make sure any more shipments for Greg were free of charge.
Both Luna and I laughed all the way back to the station where the crates were loaded to head back to Ponyville. Giving each other a hug we said our goodbyes. And I made the Boring two-hour ride back. I swear if I have to do this again I'm bringing cards or a book. When I got home I told everyone what happened and needless to say, mad laughter could be heard through the entire Everfree Forest.

Today's the day winter is finally over and I was just volunteered by my loving mates to help with Winter Rap-up.
But first, let me tell you what happened after my trip to Canterlot. See, three days later this small blue scaled drakena showed up and I had to say she did not look happy to be here, hell she didn't look happy to be anywhere.
"Hey, I'm looking for some drake called Spark," The now rude small blue scaled drakena said while looking around outside of the nest.
I was about to stand when I felt a hand on my side looking over it was Draca shaking her head. "Spike has to accept the challenge we can't interfere."
"Fine but can we watch?" I asked raising an eyebrow which is kind of hard when I don't have any.
" No, I think it would be best if you remain in here and we'll tell you what's going on after all, if she sees you it might distract her from the challenge," Freya said as she passed by giving me a kiss on the cheek.
Giving a huff, that sounded more like a growl, I went over to lay down by the nests. I just wanted to see Spike put that spoiled little dragon princess in her place. But nooooo, I have to stay inside because I might scare her.
Looking at the opening I took a deep breath and sighed "I hope this gets over quickly because I'm getting bored and hungry."
Seeing movement I turned to saw Ava crawling over to me. "Hey there Sparket, not allowed to go outside either?"
She didn't say anything, well she's still a baby but, you know what I mean. Anywho she just crawled over and up onto my head. I don't know when or why I became her favorite napping spot but I did.
Sorry for getting off track there as I was saying Fraya was going to tell me what was going on and yet I haven't heard a single thing. So I will use the magic of the writer and switch over to an others POV, oh my God I'm starting to break the fourth wall like Pinkie.
Draca POV
Hearing that little upstart dragon call out for the challenge that away, makes me want Spike to not only win but dominate the little salamander right in the center of Ponyville. "Hey I'm looking for a drake name Spark," please if I wasn't able to grab Barb fast enough there be one less drakena in the world. It took almost all my strength just to keep her still and not fly out there. After calming her down while reassuring her that Spike could handle this I made my way outside to stand as judge over this challenge. Looking at them both I could tell they were both ready as is the custom the challenger would go first. Watching as Ember took a large breath and let out a roar did show she had promise it showed power and the lack of fear. But when it was Spikes turn I remember when Greg took him aside and spoke.
Short flashback
"Now Spike, I know the girls are teaching you how to deal with this challenge but there's something I think you should know." First off is the roar I know they said to make it as loud as you can, but a true roar comes from within it's not just noise but the proof that you are strong and can protect your family.
End flashback
I stood there and watched as Spike closed his eyes and smiled taking a deep breath and digging his feet into the ground. Spike took a good deep breath then opened his eyes and let out a roar that I could swear that if Greg was not out here you would have thought it came from him.
Needless to say, the first round went to Spike.
The second round was to show the power of one's flame for a weak flame could not keep the nest warm and the eggs safe. Ember once again went first and I have to say her flame was quite impressive, the sheer size and the heat it generated could be compared with a full-grown dragon. When Spike released his flame it was more of a stream that slithered around only burning what he wanted almost as if it were alive, but I believe it has to do with his own magic from when he was hatched by Twilight. Both of them consider this a draw and continued to the last challenge, that being strength. So both of them got ready and in a flash, they were off using any means of combat to defeat the other. In the end, after a grueling two hours both had fallen to exhaustion but it was Spike who first showed any signs of movement declaring him the victor.
The challenge was over and Ember had consented to Spike's victory. Only to have Bard stand in front of her and tell the drakena that she may have been the daughter of the dragon lord but she was the second mate in this horde. Seeing as how she has laid the first egg for spike and is the mother of Ava. Ember nodded in agreement before she was allowed to enter the nesting grounds. Where she stopped dead in her tracks at seeing the most amazing and confusing sight before her. There lying on its back was an ancient lord crying out to be saved from a dreaded tickle monster which turned out to be nothing more than a giggling dragon hatchling.
Back to Gregs POV
I was lying there with Ava on my head waiting for word about the challenge when I heard the roars. Smiling when I recognized Spike's roar, it brought a smile to my face knowing that my little brother took to heart what I told him. The truth about the posturing of any creature was base on three things. One confidence in one's self, two showing no fear but embracing it and three being bigger does help, seeing as Spike was about ahead and a half taller than her. While this was going on Freya did relay what happened with the second part but didn't come back to tell me anything more.
It was sometime later that Ava woke up and wanted to play so tapping my head she looked down. "Unca Geg pway."
So carefully grabbing her in my claws I rolled over on my back, placing her on my chest area, and proceeded to play her favorite game the attack of the tickle monster. It was during this that the others made their way back into our home and for mean to hear the strangled words coming from Ember.
"But, but how, why, he's an ancient lord and he's acting like a," She was cut off by Spike.
"Like a what, a weak pony or like someone who cares about their family so much they want them to be happy," Spike said looking down at Ember daring her to say something else.
The drakena knew when to keep her mouth shut as she looked around at the others daring her to say something. Nodding after a sigh she apologized for her remark.
Kirin walked over to her smiling down and spoke. "I bet you were never told about the Ancient ones were you?" Receiving a nod from the younger female. " Well, the truth is the ancient lords were the kindest and gentlest rulers to ever, some times they could even put Miss Fluttershy the element of kindness to shame. It was only when the lives of their families and those they swore to protect were put in danger is when the true nature of their kind would be revealed. It is one of the tombs of Equis history that the demon ram Grogar experienced this fury when he attacked a place called Pleasent Valley. Needless to say, there was very little left of him after that."
Understanding what she had just learned Ember swore to herself to learn the truth the real truth about the Ancient Lords and protect her new family even against her own father.
Now since all of that drama was out of the way Ember was properly introduced to everyone. Ava immediately took a liking to Ember calling her Mama ooh (Mama two) and welcomed her with a big sloppy kiss. It was Triva who reminded Spike and Ember of their obligation to complete the challenge finishing off with the mating night. I had to laugh at this because those two turned redder than I have ever seen. This earned me five slaps four from my mates and one from Barb. When Spike decided that he and Ember would leave now for it.
I told him to don't do anything I wouldn't do, but if she liked it do it more earning more slaps, but it was worth it.
It was two days later that they returned with a smiling Spike and a very please and content looking Ember, but when she pulled the other over and asked where Spike learned that tongue thing I knew it was time to leave. I got up grabbing Spike who protested until I said girl talk shutting him up, making our way to Ponyville.
The trip was mostly made in silences knowing full well neither of us really wanted to talk about that, after all, it was private. I decided we should make a quick detour so turning towards the castle of the two sisters. Following a path not far from the rope bridge we headed down into the canyon.
"Hey Greg where are we going there's nothing down here,"
"Just wait a little longer I want you to meet a very good friend of mine who helped me when I was at one of my lowest moments, and here she is," Pointing to the Tree of Harmony.
Spike couldn't say a thing he just stared at the giant crystal tree with ah.
"I know breathtaking isn't she, well come on say hello," Saying as I nudged Spike closer.
The tree didn't actually speak at this time it was more of feeling the energy coming from it.
"You what to know something that even Celestia doesn't know?" Smiling down at my little brother.
Spike just nodded so I proceeded to tell him the story about Starswirl and the ponies known as the Pillars about how before they disappeared from Equestria they planted a seed that held all of the qualities that made them great, and how the seed had grown into what he saw before him.
Looking up at me with tear-filled eyes he just asked one thing. "How do you know all of this?"
"She told me," I said pointing to the tree. "See I've been coming here every now again, just to think, and one day I just started talking and she listened and started to talk back. "She told me about the past the real past, you see harmony, true harmony is balance, the balance between order and chaos."
"I learned that long there were seven sins that plagued the world and during this time, from the primordial magic, seven virtues appeared to bring harmony back to the world. The sins came in the form of the seven great races of Equis. The Griffons, Changelings, Yaks, Dragons, Diamond Dogs, Minotaurs, and the Ponies. The virtues were the Ancient Lords or Dinosaurs."
"Now, I told you all of this is for a very important reason, you see the tree has shown visions of the future, well a possible future, and I'm afraid without help it could be a lot worse. So I asked if there was something that could be done and the answer was you."
Spike jumped back looking at me with confusion and fear. "What do you mean the answer was me?"
"Well, you see, um, how can I put this? Oh, the Tree of Harmony chose you because you represent the seven virtues, and that thing with your birthday doesn't count because you learned and grew from it. So she has decided to give you a boon as it were but I wouldn't make the decision just yet, talk with Barb and Ember about it," Greg said as he turned and walked out of the cave heading back in the direction of Ponyville.
Spike just stood there looking at the image the tree was projecting. The form he saw was not as big as Greg maybe half the size but it was formidable and it possessed all of Greg's abilities but he would be faster and more agile but he would also retain his dragon fire.
After leaving Spike I made my way to Sweetapple Acres, saying hi to some of the residents of the town. Reaching my destination I was greeted by Applejack, Big Mac, and Twilight. Twilight was smiling that scary smile of hers you know the one. Well, what she was smiling about was one of her greatest achievements, a snowplow the ponies use, but big enough to fit me. See I found out my loving mates volunteered for free labor, scratch that it's not really free after all the work is done everyone gets some cider and cupcakes to celebrate. So we spent some time talking while I was testing out if I could run the plow and it turns out it's not that hard and I clear out the same space as four ponies. After the test, I offered to give Twilight a lift home due to her Pregnancy while making our way there we stopped at Sugarcube Corner for a bite to eat before dropping her off at the library. On my way back I took down two small sauropods for the others, when I got back I saw that Triva was playing with Ava while Spike Bard and Ember were off in a corner having what looked like a heartfelt discussion. I interrupted them by letting them know the food was here, we all made ready to dig in. Looking around I could only think my life was almost perfect I say this because it will be perfect when our hatchlings are here and in two more days we will be done with winter.
