Ignus knight of the six

clack clack clack. The sound of hoof-steps on marble stairs “one step after the next” the alabaster mare thought to herself. The air was unnaturally still but then that was to be expected as no-pony had been here in more than a millennium. Princess Celestia was calmly walking down these ancient and long forgotten stairs. When she heard a sound like armored hooves  coming down the stairs. The princess panicked as the sound of buzzing could be heard. “No Luna!” she thought immediately. The mare finally reached the bottom of the stair case where she was expecting a door, and there it sat looking much more decrepit than she remembered. She entered the room on the other side only to hear an insect like voice “ha there is no way out of that room she has just trapped herself foolish just like the other two princesses, our Queen will be most pleased.” Celestia barred the ancient door and looked about in shock. The room was small and hexagonal in shape six pedestals were here though four of them were buried under the debris. The two see could still see bore on them suits of armor not in pony origin but left here by some long lost civilization she walked by one of them a black colored suit consumed by rust stood here with a Battleaxe in its iron grip she read the nameplate “Noctus Knight of Darkness and disloyalty.” this would not do.

She went to the last standing set this was a suit of armor nearly devoured by rust the chest plate hanging loosely open only held back by the great-sword in the armors hands. She read the name plate “ Ignus Knight of Fire and Honor.” This one was perfect exactly whom she needed to save her little ponies. She thought long and hard about what Starswirl the Bearded had taught her about revitalizing the Knights. For just a brief moment she wondered how Starswirl found out but the pushed the stray thought out of her mind. So she began the ritual. Celestia opened the chest plate as far as she could.

Then she herd banging on the door and the voices “come out peacefully and we wont rough you up to badly.” one said “yeah right” Celestia thought to herself as she lit a small flame inside the the armors chest where the heart would be. Then the chest plate closed of its own accord just as the door gave in.

Six dark chitin bound creatures entered wearing green and black armor, all had swords draw at the ready they looked around. “this is what you thought would save you O' princess of the sun?' one of the creatures stated amused “two sets of old rusted armor you can not even wear?!” failing to notice one of them was shedding its rust. “I will never bow to you or your infernal rule changeling!” the solar princess shouted. "Ignus do your duty and rid these pests from your holy citadel." Then the six changelings saw it the once rusted suit of armor was now a vivid shade of red with a burning sword in its hands with one swing of its mighty blade where six creatures once stood now only sat six plies of ash and slag. Then the armor spun around and looked at the being whom awoke it from it's ancient slumber. It looked at her for a long time before raising its blade high. CLANG!

The blade struck the ground in between them. “...one whom hast summoned me back from the far reaches of eternal slumber what is thine name and title?” the armor stated “I am Celestia Princess of Equestria.” the alabaster mare responded calmly. “Then I Ignus Knight of Fire and Honor do hereby swear my fealty to you and you alone until such time as you have to release me from it and return me to my slumber.” a long and uneasy silence rang through the room before Celestia spoke again “ Ignus raise up your sword and rid my castle of these intruders that is my command!” Celestia shouted. “very well then I Ignus knight of the six shall do as thou commands.” the red knight responded and rose up his blade and began to march up the stairs with the princess behind him.

*Canterlot Castle: Throne Room* the changeling Queen Chrysalis a black chitin covered her body save for a green band that was on her underbelly she has silk-like teal hair with a gnarled and twisted horn protruded from her forehead with insect-like wings protruding from her back. She paced impatiently back and forth looking up at the cocoons that held nine ponies in them but there was space for one more and Chrysalis intended to fill it with the last pony when suddenly twelve of her changelings came into the room and barred the door. “What are you doing?!” the changeling queen commanded. “Celestia has been on the attack with some new relic she found!” the changeling captain replied fear evident in his voice. “relic?” the queen thought to herself. But her thoughts were short lived as she herd the screams of her changelings as they were treating burns they sustained while trying to keep the door sealed. Then a fiery blade cut straight down the doors burning the door till it was naught but ashes. Then the doors opened and a surge of fire shoot through the room reducing all the changelings save the queen into ash, then Celestia stepped into the room. “Back again for another defeat are we princess?” the changeling queen taunted. “Yes but this time it will not be me whom will face you on the field of battle.” Princess Celestia replied with a smile. "Well Chrysalis care to try your luck against my champion?" Celestia stated firmly but smugly.

Without hesitation the changeling queen shot herself at the armored figure only to be knock away like a fly. this did not stop the queen from trying a frontal assault with magic however as several green colored fireballs were charged and fired in rapid succession this time the armored figure shot back with its own fireballs canceling out the queens blasts then Ignus lunged with his blade only to lock his blade with that of the Changeling queen it was Chrysalis whom broke the embrace of blade and horn only to have one of her wings cut off with a quick and unseen strike the armored figure had summoned a flaming blade behind her. Queen Chrysalis had no time to react as Ignus struck out not with his blade but his hand and grabbed her horn.

"Wait what are you doing?!" the changeling queen said in a panic. "Protecting Princess and Country." Ignus replied flatly. as he dragged her to one of the windows and held up the queen for all of her subjects to see. "Look now as the changeling queen has been bested in single combat!" Ignus shouted from the castle balcony. All the changelings stopped to stare at what they were seeing their queen bested. Then Ignus did something that surprised changeling and pony both he took his sword in hand and leaned in close to Chrysalis's ear "your horn is the focus for your magic  correct?" Ignus asked, panicked the queen replied "Y-yes but please have mercy I was just trying to find food for my subjects!" the queen shouted frantically. "... then we will allow gravity to decide your fate." Ignus said coldly. Then he took his sword and slowly began sawing his way through the queen's horn. "P-please S-stop." the queen managed to chock out in between screams. when at that very moment Celestia spoke up.

"Ignus! that is enough! you have bested her but I will not allow you to kill her bring her back inside and unhand her!" the solar princess said with a burning determination. after what seamed like an eternity Ignus did as he was commanded but before unhanding the changeling queen he dropped his sword and simply broke off Queen Chrysalis's horn causing her and pain unlike any she thought to ever feel. "IGNUS!!!" princess Celestia shouted. "... yes my princess?" he asked "I did as I was commanded in the end I did this queen a mercy if I had left her horn in that state it would have become infected and completely unusable." he stated flatly. "Still that was beyond your jurisdiction her punishment would have been up to me it seems to me that you have a lot to learn about this new age." Celestia said angrily.
