It's Sugarcoat, Not Sugarcube!
It was a nice breezing day at the Canterlot Park, and Sugarcoat (wasn't wearing her Crystal Prep uniform, but was in her casual clothing) was just sitting on the bench, using her planner for something she would be involved in.
Along came Applejack and she saw her while she was walking by. "Howdy, sugarcube!" she said with a smile. Then she went on passed her to go to someplace she was heading.
Sugarcoat then glared at her. How DARE she call me sugarcube? she thought. It's an insult to my name and I'll need to put an end to this once and for all!
A few hours later, she was shopping at the Canterlot Mall and accidentally bumped into Applejack.
"Heh, sorry there, sugarcube," said Applejack, "Ya alright?"
"Yes I'm fine," said Sugarcoat, "And it's Sugarcoat, not sugarcube." Then she turned around and walked away to continue shopping. She then went to the food court of the mall and looked around the different types of food stands. "Hmm, which one should I order from?" she asked to herself. Then she ordered from the oriental food stand, sat at an empty table with her food and ate.
Not too long before Sugarcoat was almost done eating, Applejack looked at her and said, "Howdy sugarcube!"
Hearing this, Sugarcoat started to get annoyed. "It's Sugarcoat, not sugarcube!" she said again as she picked up her food and moved away to finish eating. A few minutes later, she was done. She got up, threw her trash away and continued to shop.
In the evening, she was at home with her purchased items, not feeling satisfied of what just happened. She placed them down on the table and sat down on the chair with definite annoyance. "I HATE being called sugarcube!" she said, "Even though I've been telling her that it's Sugarcoat, not sugarcube! I just hope that it won't happen tomorrow."
The next day, Sugarcoat was inside the library reading a chapter book quietly. She was then alert, thinking that Applejack might be here, so she stopped reading and looked all around her. She let out a silent sigh and went back to reading. She thought that the book she was reading was getting interesting so she checked it out and left the library.
Her day was getting better so far with no interruptions. Just then she saw Applejack walking her dog Winona on the other side of the street. Sugarcoat hoped that she never saw her and said the same thing. Please don't say it! Don't say it, don't say it, don't say it! she thought, Don't look at me either! Too late. Applejack already saw her and said "Howdy sugarcube!"
Sugarcoat suddenly became very mad. "It's Sugarcoat, not sugarcube!!!" she said, raising her voice at her, "Ugh!!! Why can't you leave me alone?!?" Then she stormed off to a quiet place to continue reading. She read 5 chapters so far without being disturbed again. She was about to finish reading chapter 6 until she saw Applejack and Winona standing in front of her.
Before Applejack could speak, Sugarcoat cut her off, saying, "It's Sugarcoat, not sugarcube. Please leave me alone so I can finish reading."
Winona whined a little bit and Sugarcoat place her bookmark inside the book and closed it. "You've got to be kidding me," she said, "I'm out of here." She got up and walked away from them.
Applejack was confusingly hurt because of what just happened, and Winona was feeling the same way. She didn't know what was going on with Sugarcoat. What would she say about that, and what would she do?
Two days later, Sugarcoat was suffering from the days Applejack appeared and called her sugarcube. She couldn't take it anymore and wanted to do something about it to prevent it from happening to her ever again. She tried to continue saying to Applejack that she's Sugarcoat, not sugarcube, it didn't work out. She also tried to get away from her and that didn't work out either. She then tried to ignore her all that she could, but that didn't work either. She tried almost every solution she could think of and none of them worked. This was the last straw for her. It was time for her to get extremely serious.
Applejack was looking for a place to take a break from walking. As she saw a nearby bench, she went to it and sat down. She sighed in exhaustion because she was feeling exhausted just enough for her to rest for a while. When she was about to close her eyes for a nap, she saw Sugarcoat coming to her. "Um, howdy?" she said with a sheepish smile.
"You and I need to have a private talk immediately," Sugarcoat said as she was trying to keep her vocal tone as calm as she could. Applejack then frowned at her because she could tell that she was seriously angry at her for some reason. They both went to Sugarcoat's house and sat down on the couch for a conversation. "Stop calling me sugarcube!" said Sugarcoat, "Because it's an insult to my name! I'm Sugarcoat, not sugarcube!"
"I call anyone sugarcube and they don't seem ta mind that," Applejack replied, "Well this is the first time someone hates bein' called that."
"And that's me," said Sugarcoat, "I've been trying to do some things I could think of about it for days, but nothing worked!"
"Ya could'a just told me," said Applejack.
"I did try to tell you several times but you weren't listening!" said Sugarcoat, "I had to get away from you and try my best to forget that it happened! And guess what? That didn't work too!" She grew frustrated and upset enough that she cried silently.
Applejack didn't know how to comfort her without calling her sugarcube. She sighed and attempted to try her best to do so. "Sorry 'bout that," she said finally, "I-I didn't know..." Then she was silent for a moment.
Sugarcoat was still silently crying, not moving much. Suddenly she felt a gentle touch on her left shoulder. She turned to look at Applejack with a little smile.
"A friend'a mine gave me a few tips on how ta cheer ya up," Applejack said, "Now what're one of those tips I can find around here?" She looked around the living room and found nothing so far. So she came up with some safe jokes to tell her.
Sugarcoat never knew that Applejack could be funny.
"Thanks for cheering me up," she said while laughing.
Applejack chuckled. "Anytime, sugarcu--" She almost called her sugarcube again. "I-I mean, Sugarcoat." She and Sugarcoat laughed anyway and started to hang out with each other until it was time for Applejack to go home.
Sugarcoat was glad to have Applejack around for a visit, especially spending her first time with a Wondercolt.

This is the casual clothing I'm thinking of. I LOVE this style because it seems perfect for the casual wear, so I'm using this one in "It's Sugarcoat, Not Sugarcube!". All credit to HellGirl66618 for this design inspiration!
