Ponytale: Pacifist

Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth: *Humans** and Ponies.*

One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the Humans were victorious. They sealed the Ponies underground with a magic spell that only a Human Soul could pass.

Many years later...

Twilight heaved herself to the top of the mountain with a huff, briefly wiping her forehead before turning around to look at the view. A faint smile crossed her face, and the girl released a sigh of content; it was beautiful.

Taking off her glasses to clean them, Twilight mulled over her options. She had climbed up here out of curiosity, following a legend that had been told throughout her childhood; now, as she stood in the mouth of the cave, she remembered why the story had scared her so much as a girl. It was dark, silent, with vines slipping out of the entrance. All of her instincts told her to go back... But, she bit her lip and took a step in, taking her phone out of her pocket to see better.

She had only walked about fifteen feet when she came across it; a huge gaping in the ground. Roots disappeared into it, seemingly dissolving into nothing, and it terrified her as much as it intrigued her.

"Woah..." She whispered, afraid of summoning some sort of demon from the dark. Twilight shuffled closer, straining to see the bottom of the abyss. She stretched out the hand holding her phone, trying to see, when her foot caught on the root, and sent her tumbling forward into the darkness.

She didn't even have time to scream.
