After a second, she pulled her hand away, looking down at both arms to inspect them. The girl had been expecting the worst, but she was surprised to see that there were only a few minor injuries, save for a gash running up her leg. Her glasses, however, had been cracked. Looking up, she could see the faint light of where she had fallen; it illuminated the patch of yellow flowers that she sat on. Knowing now that she could see the sun, Twilight rose to her knees and crawled over to her phone, hoping that she could get a signal. But, to her dismay, it was utterly destroyed, having fallen on rocks rather than the flowers. With a slight grunt, she pushed herself onto her feet, putting a hand over her eyes and squinting. She could just make out a hallway-type area... after brief consideration, she decided it would be best to head in that direction, maybe to find some medical supplies, before attempting to climb the rocks. Gritting her teeth, she limped forward, making slow and steady progress towards the area. After a long and painful trudge, she finally pulled herself into a small room, with a patch of grass set in the middle, almost perfectly centered. Perched in the center of the grass was a tiny pony, her wings buzzing excitedly as Twilight wearily approached. The girl inspected the pony, struggling to find something wrong with her; instead, all she saw was a light yellow filly, with wings and a white mane and golden flower crown. The epitome of adorable. "Greetings, Human!" The filly giggled, prancing around Twilight's feet. "I'm Flower Blossom! I'm a pony! And I have a cutie mark, see?!" The pony stopped in a fraction of a second, blinking up at Twilight with innocent eyes. "Hmm... You are new to the Underground, aren't you? Somepony should teach you how we do things here. I suppose that I will have to do!" "Okay!" Twilight squealed, plopping down to listen to Flower Crown talk. She's absolutely adorable! "You, as I am sure you were aware, have a Soul, the very culmination of your being!" Flower Crown began instructing. As she spoke, a small aura of magic spread through her, and a heart seemingly materialized out of nowhere. "Don't worry." The filly reassured, seeing Twilight's shocked expression. "You're completely fine! Anyway. It starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LOVE! And down here, we ponies spread love through little white Friendliness Pellets! Here, I can give some to you!" //-------------------------------------------------------// 1) Once Upon A Time //-------------------------------------------------------// 1) Once Upon A Time Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth: *Humans** and Ponies.* One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the Humans were victorious. They sealed the Ponies underground with a magic spell that only a Human Soul could pass. Many years later... Twilight heaved herself to the top of the mountain with a huff, briefly wiping her forehead before turning around to look at the view. A faint smile crossed her face, and the girl released a sigh of content; it was beautiful. Taking off her glasses to clean them, Twilight mulled over her options. She had climbed up here out of curiosity, following a legend that had been told throughout her childhood; now, as she stood in the mouth of the cave, she remembered why the story had scared her so much as a girl. It was dark, silent, with vines slipping out of the entrance. All of her instincts told her to go back... But, she bit her lip and took a step in, taking her phone out of her pocket to see better. She had only walked about fifteen feet when she came across it; a huge gaping in the ground. Roots disappeared into it, seemingly dissolving into nothing, and it terrified her as much as it intrigued her. "Woah..." She whispered, afraid of summoning some sort of demon from the dark. Twilight shuffled closer, straining to see the bottom of the abyss. She stretched out the hand holding her phone, trying to see, when her foot caught on the root, and sent her tumbling forward into the darkness. She didn't even have time to scream.
