Things used to be simple for Queen Chrysalis; plotting schemes for her total take over of Equestria while having her changelings secretly gather love from unsuspecting ponies. For the well-being of the hive and her subjects, of course.

However, on the day she enacts her latest plan, things change when she learns that the traitor, Thorax, hasn't gone a day hungry since living openly among the ponies of the Crystal Empire. He's been sharing his love with the citizens of the empire, and that somehow sustains him.

For the first time ever, Chrysalis is presented with an alternative, a way to have her children go without ever starving again while also giving them a bright and possibly prosperous future, one where they live alongside ponies as themselves rather than in disguise.

The idea of sharing love is a strange concept to the queen, but luckily Thorax will be there for her every step of the way. He might even give her that extra push she needs to be more open with others.

Season 6 finale spoiler warning: Set in an alternate universe where Chrysalis accepts Starlight's offer and where Thorax and the other changelings didn't gain their new colorful forms.
