Truth

Twilight looks at the horizon, waiting hopefully for her friends return. After 10 minutes of waiting, she gives up for another day. A puff of magic comes out of nowhere before Twilight jumped.

"Spike?" The helpless dragon couldn't move one bit. He was well chained before being dropped on the ground. Discord removes the chains with a snap of his fingers, while Spike sits there with his head turning away from Twilight.

"Spike, I was so worried about you."
"Why? Didn't anypony else care?"

"Rarity felt terrible about you leaving."
"How's her 'coltfriend'."

"They're still together."
"Ohhhhh I'm so jealous!" Spike said sarcastically

"Don't beat yourself up."
"Whatever! I'm done with love!" Spike stomps to his room where he slams his door and lays on his bed with his arms crossed. A few minutes later, a knock on the door came about.

"Go away Twilight! I'm not in the mood!" Starlight walks through with a concerned look on her face.
"Spike? Why do you feel like this?

"Cause I've had enough of this garbage and wish I could be left alone for good!"
"Why are you getting so aggravated over one pony?"

"Ever since I met her, I felt like she was my special somepony who would be my darling."
"It's not always going to be great for you. You need to learn to let things go."

"Easy for you to say. I wish I could be older."
"Don't think about changing who you are just for one pony. It's better off to be yourself no matter who is with you. There is a lot of ponies out there who accept just you. I promise that soon you will find her." Spike sighs with grief.

"Who would want to marry a dragon?"
"I don't know. Maybe somepony might see the true beauty deep within."

"Whats the point? All I am is an outcast with nopony interested in me."
"Can't you try a little?" Spike turns over before Starlight decides to give him time to think. During the night, he begins to wonder if he would then find his special somepony. Later that morning he grabs a few donuts along with some hot cocoa. Spike sits at a table with his head laying on it while eating one with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. Pinkie Pie startles Spike with a tap on his shoulder.

"Woah! Can't you give me a little space?"
"C'mon Spike, cheer up. Turn that frown upside down."

"No thanks Pinkie. I'm not in the mood." Pinkie starts to look a little concerned until she notices a jelly filled donut.
"Oh my gosh jelly!" She snatches it with a quick swipe before Spike reacts with anger.

"Hey! Don't you have any manners?! At least you could've asked and maybe I would've let you have it!"
"Sorry. I was a little too excited."

"Find somepony else to bother." Pinkie walks back inside the sugarcube corner before coming back out with another donut.
"Here Spike. I like to make up for the mistake." Spike eyes the donut with one eyebrow raised.

"What is this?"
"It's a creamy filling donut."

"Thanks Pinkie." Spike grabs the donut and eats it without expression.
"How is it?"

"Fine I guess...."
"Spike, I'm worried. What's gotten into you?"

"Ever since I saw Rarity with another stallion she hated before, I felt betrayed."
"Betrayed?"

"I thought we'd be together for as long as we live."
"Spike. You can't always get your way. Sometimes I have to control what I can and can't do, even though it's hard."

"Like what?"
"I remember when I gave up my confetti cannon for my sister Maud. Even though I had it given back afterward, I still felt bad for putting myself in that situation."

"Seems harsh."
"The point is, no matter what goes, you can't always have your way. Maybe a celebrity can, but you're just a dragon who is like us all."

"Thats not really true, I am famous in the crystal empire. A statue was made after me."
"Oh right... I forgot about that. Too focused on parties and cakes."

"I guess I should see Rarity and tell her that we are no more."
"You can still be friends."

"I don't know if she will change the way she feels." Spike finishes his cocoa and donuts before heading to Rarity's Boutique. He nervously knocks on her door before it creaks open.

"Hello?"
"Spike? You're back!" Sweetie Belle was relieved and runs over to hug Spike.

"Hey! I was here to see Rarity."
"Oh! She's a bit busy at the moment."

"I need to talk to her." Spike walks in slowly with a little tremble down his spine. As he enters through Rarity's door, he see's her focused on work itself.

"Rarity?" The white mare turns around with a little disappointed expression.
"I see you decided to return hmmm?"

"Look, I'm sorry about what I did back there. I let my emotions get the best of me."
"And you also were a bit rough on Blueblood."

"I know. But sometimes when you are struck with strong emotions, you can't help it that easy."
"As much I understand your feelings, I'm still not going to be your special somepony."

"I'm over that."
"What?! How can you be so sure?"

"After seeing what monster I've become and how reckless I was, I decided that you don't belong to me."
"Oh my. I didn't think you'd go this far."

"Well now you know why I came. I'm done loving on you. You belong to Blueblood." Rarity felt a little sorrow from such strong words and looks at Spike before he turns around.

"By the way, don't call me 'Spikey Wikey' anymore!"
