Echo's misadventures

Starfish

Previous Chapter

Echo skipped happily down the edge of the beach outside her town. She had been hunting for shells and had found quite a few within the rock pools across the sands. As she went along with her search, she listened as the seagulls called out above to eachother.

After a short while, she heard an odd sound. She looked in the direction of it to find a small red starfish sitting on a rock out of the water. Curious as to why it had left its natural environment, she walked over to it and knelt down to get a closer look at it. At this distance she could almost swear it had facial features... almost as if it-

“Sup,”

The grey pony screamed in shock and flew back, her eyes focused on the little animal. It had opened two blankly staring eyes at was looking right back at her.

“See something you like?” It asked.

Echo's mouth dropped, her wings faltering slightly as everything she thought she knew began to crash around her.

“Y'know it's not polite to stare,”

Echo promptly fainted at that, her body hitting the ground with a 'thump'.

Seeing that the pony had been brought down, the starfish rose to its two legs and walked over to her. When it had climbed up on the torso of the pony it began thrusting up and down. When it had finished its ritual, it jumped down and began walking away to find more potential victims.
