//-------------------------------------------------------// The glowing glass walls -by BrittyFIM- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The walls //-------------------------------------------------------// The walls The atmosphere was cold and stiff. The sound of a beating heart was the only audible noise. The air was thin and stunk of mold and rot. A dim white glow shown on a small orange filly. Her fur stood on end like quills due to the cool breeze blowing up against her. Her eyes opened, revealing her light purple eyes to a void of blackness. She jolted to her feet, quickly looking in all directions. All was dark and black except for two clear, white glowing walls on her left and right sides but after that, they led into more blackness. “Wh-where am I?” She spoke softly to herself, her eyes growing damp and shaky. “Hello?!” She yelled into the darkness. An echoing of her own words sounded as her scared question reverberated off of the walls, soon dying out. She stood in place, too scared to move past her current position. Her breathing grew heavy and panicked, her eyes wet and dilated with fear. Her mind raced with questions and thoughts, ‘where was she, how did she get here, why was she here, was she fillynapped, who took her here-’ A small tapping noise interrupted her thoughts. She went still… listening. Tap! It sounded again. “Who...oo’s there?” she asked panicking and turning towards where the noise came from. The walls formed a hallway leading into the blackness that Scootaloo stood looking at. The noise had come from that direction; it had come from the blackness. “Please, please, please-” Scootaloo stood whispering to herself. Her breath was loud and rapid as she started hyperventilating with fear of what could be the source of the noise. She hesitantly inched her way towards the noise scared at what she would find. As she grew closer to the sound, she noticed the glowing wall’s luminescence grew and fell like a wave or echo. In the distance, Scootaloo saw where the wave was originating from. Far into the darkness, the wall blinked with a bright light before fading into its original slight glow. Every time the wall grew bright, it was followed by the tapping sound that Scootaloo still could not place. She moved closer towards the glowing point; her heart racing in her chest still worried about her location. Her eyes widened. She could see a figure. It stood behind the wall at the origin of the waves that flashed by Scootaloo's mane. Scootaloo felt her heart stop as the figure backed up from the wall and turned it's head in Scootaloo's direction… and began running straight at her. Scootaloo immediately turned her body and booked it in the opposite direction of the figure. She couldn't help but let out a scream of fear as she was chased by this unknown pony. She turned her head to her left and only saw the other wall blocking her way. She was trapped in this corridor with that… thing chasing her behind the wall. She didn't care if it was on the other side, she just wanted away from it. Her run was soon ended as just ahead, a large stone wall that acted as the end of the corridor, blocked her path and causing the figure to catch up to the helpless filly. “Please wings, work please!” Scootaloo yelled at herself as she opened her wings trying to fly. Just as the figure reached her a loud crashing was sounded and Scootaloo fell to her side, coughing and gasping in pain. Her mind was dizzy and her body was filled with pain as she struggled to breath. Her wings fell stiff and broken at her sides causing her to groan with discomfort. She screamed in pain as tears rolled out of her bloodshot eyes. Her body began feeling numb as did her mind. She looked up at the glowing walls with anger and pain. Her eyes slowly focused on the small, yellow earth filly with a deep red mane and a large bright red bow staring down at her, quickly losing consciousness and her vision faded into nothingness.
