Caught while grieving the loss of Fluttershy, Ponyville is wiped out by an unending horde and the few remaining survivors must find their way to Canterlot, the last refuge for pony kind. As they face their eminent annihilation, the wrath of an ancient foe, and even the rage of a misguided princess, Twilight Sparkle finds that once again the future is in her hooves. But sometimes even the greatest of friends aren't enough, especially when their bonds have been strained by grief.
