My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Season X

The cold opening shows the first bit of episode one, then some choice clips from the previous episode.

OPENING CREDITS ANIMATION

We open up with Everypony back at Black Cherry's house. Black Cherry says to them all:

“When we last left off, you convinced the local shaman to let the bugbear travelling with you stay with her. You also gained a quarter of the experience needed to level up.”

Rarity asks:

“Black Cherry, darling, is there any chance we can get rid of the junk we picked up from those thieves?”

Rainbow dash says:

“Yeah, a bunch of their stuff wasn't any better than what we had already.”

Applejack says:

“Ah have to agree. Would be nahce if we could get better weapons too.”

Pinkie Pie hops up and down while saying:

“Hey! Maybe I can get a stronger party cannon or a harder hitting helmet for Gummy!”

Fluttershy says:

“Now that you mention it, I could use some new items as well.”

Spike is on the table as he says:

“If Rarity could get me some gems for food, that would be something.”

Twilight Sparkle says:

“I could always use some books to have a better idea of how the world works.”

Everypony and Spike looks at Black Cherry with him having a surprised look on his face. He sighs and says:

“Well, if it's a shop you all want, then it's a shop you'll get.”

Everypony cheers at this. Black cherry smiles and says:

“It so happens I have just the place for you to sell your wares and buy new things. You'll have to get there first, so close your eyes and let's go.”

Everypony and Spike closes their eyes and Black Cherry puts on his wizard hat. He closes his eyes and green flames come out of them for a second before his horn makes the entire screen go black. Everypony opens their eyes and looks around. Black Cherry is lording over them again and says:

“At the moment, you are all leaving the shaman's house and on your way to deliver a package to a faraway place for her. In exchange, you are now free of the bugbear.”

Rainbow Dash smiles and says:

“Aw, he wasn't that bad.”

Everypony looks at Rainbow Dash with a shocked look on their faces. Rainbow Dash sees them do this and shrugs her shoulders as she says:

“Well it's true. I didn't trust him, but he did help us avoid a fight.”

Fluttershy says:

“I kind of miss him already.”

Pinkie Pie holds Gummy up to her ear. She then looks at everypony and says:

“So does Gummy.”

Spike smiles and says:

“Ah, he'll be fine. If we want to talk to him, I'll just send a letter with my flame breath.”

Black Cherry has a surprised look on his face as he asks:

“You can do that Spike?”

Spike looks up at Black Cherry and says:

“Yeah, all the time.”

Black Cherry says:

“Alright. Just for that, I hereby give you the ability to send letters to somepony with your flame breath. You will need to roll a d six to see if the letter gets to its intended destination.”

Rarity looks up and asks:

“How will that work?”

Black Cherry says:

“If the die lands on an even number, the letter gets there. If the die lands on an odd number, it ends up going somewhere else.”

Black Cherry looks away and puts a hoof to his chin as he says:

“Now that I think about it, that could be an adventure all by itself. Figuring out where the letter ended up if you get a bad roll.”

Applejack looks to Twilight Sparkle and asks:

“How far is the place we're heading, Twahlaht?”

Twilight pulls out a map and looks at it. She then looks to Applejack and says:

“It's not too far away, but we'll have to really move it if we want to get there before dark.”

Rainbow Dash says:

“Then let's get going. We don't have any time to lose.”

Everypony and Spike nods and they start walking towards a direction with Twilight Sparkle leading the way.

CUT TO COMMERCIAL!

We come back and see that everypony is nearing what looks like a large building that has wheels on it. Black Cherry says:

“Because you asked for it, you will have it. A shop for you to sell some things and get some in return.”

Twilight sees the sign on the top of the shop that reads GOODNESS GRACIOUS TRAVELLING SWAP SHOP. She reads it out loud in a questioning manner:

“Goodness Gracious Travelling Swap Shop?”

Applejack has a frightened look on her face as she says:

“Oh no, not them.”

Pinkie Pie looks at Applejack and asks:

“What's wrong, Applejack?”

Applejack looks to Pinkie Pie and says:

“Well, with that kahnd a name, Ah have a bad feeling they couldn't be anypony but-”

A piano can be heard playing a simple tune that cuts off Applejack's sentence. Everypony looks at the shop and up from somewhere come Flim and Flam. Flim says:

“Goodness gracious oh my dear.”

Flam asks:

“Just what is it that we have here?”

Flim says:

“Some ponies are looking to sell.”

Flam says:

“And maybe buy things. We can tell.”

Applejack lowers her head and closes her eyes halfway as she sighs and says:

“It is.”

Flim says:

“Goodness here and Gracious there.”

Flam says:

“We will buy from you and be fair.”

Flim says:

“So that later you'll come and stop”

Flam says:

“At the Goodness Gracious Travelling Swap Shop.”

Fluttershy asks:

“At the what?”

Flim and Flam sing together:

“The Goodness Gracious Travelling Swap Shooooooooooop!”

As the piano finishes playing with Flim and Flam singing the last bit of their introduction, Rainbow Dash looks up at Black Cherry with an annoyed look on her face and says:

“Now I just know you're messing with us.”

Black Cherry has a grin on his face as he snickers and says:

“I cannot tell a lie, the idea for the name came from the Flim Flam brothers.”

Rarity rolls her eyes and says:

“Of all the things we didn't need, they were in the top five.”

Spike asks:

“Do we really have to buy and sell our stuff to these guys?”

Black Cherry says:

“Don't be like that. They might be ponies you recognize, but they're still bound to help you out as npcs. Sell your things and buy what you need.”

Twilight Sparkle looks at everypony and says:

“Well, I guess we could try.”

Flam says:

“Why Goodness, look at all the customers we have today. Six of them there are.”

Flim says:

“Quite right, Gracious my good fellow.”

Applejack asks:

“So how does your shop work, exactly?”

Flim says:

“I take care of the buying and giving bits in exchange for your goods.”

Flam says:

“While I'm in charge of showing you what we have on offer.”

Pinkie Pie asks:

“Do you have a helmet that lets Gummy do more damage when he hits an enemy after being fired out of my party cannon?”

Flam says:

“If you would be gracious enough to come this way, maybe we can find you something.”

Pinkie Pie bounces over while closing her eyes and smiling while saying:

“Woohoo! Gummy's getting an upgrade!”

Rarity has a suspicious look on her face as she says:

“I still don't trust them, so I'll come along and make sure he doesn't swindle you.”

Rainbow Dash says:

“Count me in! I want some better armour and maybe a better dagger too.”

With Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Rainbow Dash on one side of the shop with Flam, Flim turns to Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy and Applejack and asks:

“Now what can I do for you, my dears?”

Fluttershy says:

“Well, I think we have some backpacks of holding or something. We would like to get rid of what we don't need in them, if you don't mind.”

Flim says:

“Oh, it's no problem at all. Let me see what you have there.”

Flim uses his magic to move the backpacks Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle have onto the counter. He opens them and uses his magic to chuck what's in the backpack onto the counter. Loads of stuff comes out and Flim has a surprised look on his face as he asks:

“Oh goodness me! There's so much in here! You must tell me where you got it.”

Spike, who just happened to be with the three at Flim's counter, looks back and scratches his head as he smiles and says:

“Well, it's kind of a long story.”

Flim smiles and says:

“No matter. I'll take a good look at each and every piece and see how much all of it is worth.”

We now see everypony chatting with Flim and Flam, who now have the names Goodness and Gracious as npcs in the game.

CUT TO COMMERCIAL!

We come back and see that everypony now has new gear on. They are walking away from the Goodness Gracious Travelling Swap Shop while waving at Flim and Flam. Applejack looks forward and smiles as she says:

“Ah only have twenty bits to mah name, but we sure did get some mahty fahne stuff for our troubles.”

Rainbow Dash looks up at Black Cherry and asks:

“By the way, Black Cherry, how did you know about the Flim Flam Brothers?”

Black Cherry asks:

“Well, remember when they were trying to sell a miracle tonic that healed your body in amazing ways?”

Fluttershy looks back and smiles as she asks:

“How could we forget?”

Black Cherry says:

“They just so happened to come near our place one time and my sister was convinced it was the real deal. It was only after they left when we discovered it was a sham.”

Spike shrugs his shoulders as he says:

“Well, I guess that explains that.”

Rarity looks to Twilight Sparkle and asks:

“How much farther until we get to where we're going, Twilight?”

Twilight looks at her map and says:

“Well actually, we don't have too far to go. A little bit farther and we should be there.”

We now transition to everypony coming to what looks like a large blue rectangular box that has a door on one side. Outside of it is a bunch of random looking junk that looks like it might have been something at one point. Everypony sees this place and make ooh and ah sounds. Twilight looks at her map and says:

“Well, this is the place.”

Twilight walks up to the door and knocks on it. From the other side, a voice asks:

“Who is it?”

Applejack says:

“Package for ya from a shaman.”

The door opens slightly and we see Time Turner poke his head out. He gets a big smile on his face as he says:

“Finally, it's arrived!”

He swings the door fully open and says:

“Please, do come in. All of you.”

They all walk in and are surprised to discover that the blue box is much bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Time Turner says:

“I am the doctor around these parts, so I don't have the time to travel much.”

Rarity looks at Time Turner and asks:

“The doctor? Doctor who?”

Time Turner says:

“A scientific doctor. I don't specialize in medicine, so I send for help from a shaman or someone close enough when either I or my assistant become unwell.”

Spike asks:

“Your assistant?”

Time Turner says:

“Yes. This way please.”

They all walk over to a room where Derpy is lying down in a bed. She looks really sick and is hacking and coughing. Time Turner says:

“This is what has become of my poor assistant.”

Fluttershy asks:

“What happened?”

Time Turner says:

“She was mixing some chemicals, just like I asked her to, when there was a gas explosion which ended up making her terribly ill.”

Derpy looks over at Time Turner and says:

“I just (cough cough) don't know what (cough cough) went wrong.”

Rainbow Dash smiles and sighs as she says:

“Yeah, it's a mystery.”

Twilight has pulled out the package and says:

“Here you go. Now maybe our bugbear will be able to stay at the shaman's for the next little while.”

Time Turner has a surprised look on his face as he asks:

“A bugbear living with a shaman?”

He then smiles and furrows his eyebrows as he says:

“Most fascinating!”

Time Turner opens the jar of strange looking liquid and hoofs it to Derpy. She drinks some of it and then coughs up some gas that disappears into thin air. Applejack asks:

“How do you feel?”

Derpy smiles and says:

“Better. I guess the gas (cough) in my system is what's (cough) making me sick.”

Time Turner smiles and says:

“I will send word to the shaman that the package was delivered. If a bugbear is involved, I'm guessing my sending word will be beneficial for everypony.”

Suddenly, a large sound is heard from somewhere. Rarity asks:

“What was that?”

Time Turner shakes his head and says:

“It's that blasted dragon again.”

Spike asks:

“Dragon?”

Time Turner nods and says:

“Yes. It lives in cave a little ways from here. It was all fine until one day it started to yell and scream for one reason or another.”

Fluttershy asks:

“Have you gone to see what the matter is?”

Time Turner says:

“No. I have been busy as of late. Going to see an angry and probably violent dragon is not exactly on my list of priorities.”

Rainbow Dash says:

“Maybe we could go and see what the problem is.”

Time Turner says:

“That would be marvelous!”

Derpy asks:

“Doctor, won't you ask them (cough) to stay for the night?”

Time Turner looks over at Derpy and says:

“Oh yes, of course.”

He looks back at everypony and says:

“You all must be dreadfully tired coming all this way. Please stay here for the night and you can see to my dragon problem in the morning.”

Everypony gets into a huddle and start to whisper to each other. After ten seconds, they come out of it and Twilight says:

“We've talked it over and have decided that we will take you up on your offer.”

Time Turner smiles and says:

“Perfect! I will starting arranging your beds right away!”

We zoom out of this picture as Black Cherry's voice says:

“And so, the package was successfully delivered to it's destination. After doing so, you agree to stay for the night.”

We hear Black Cherry's hooves clap together and a flash of white light appears onscreen. We now see everypony back at the table as they now open their eyes. Rarity says:

“I swear Black Cherry, it feels like you add in a last minute problem at the end of each quest so we always have just one more problem to deal with.”

Black Cherry smiles and says:

“Well of course I do. Otherwise, you would have no reason to come back and play again.”

Fluttershy smiles and says:

“I actually kind of like that. It makes it seem like there's never a dull moment.”

Rainbow Dash smiles and says:

“Yeah! Never resting, always moving! Except for when we stop somewhere for the night.”

Spike says:

“An upset dragon is never a good thing, so next time should be very interesting.”

Applejack smiles and says:

“Ah have to admit, having Flim and Flam show up as npcs was mahty genius of you.”

Black Cherry says:

“If you all feel that way, then you will just have to come back next time to see what I have planned.”

Twilight Sparkle smiles and says:

“I'm sure we will.”

Everypony nods at this.
