Minkie Pie's Renvage

It was another great day for business for the white unicorn. She was just about to close up her shop when she hears the bell of the door  ring signaling another customer. She trots to see who was stopping by at closing time. She see a station with a purple coat, a black mane and tail with a little purple in his tail, a pair of fangs and two big blood red wings.  He looked to be some pony important. She realized he was a bat pony.  He looked to her and smiled.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but do you know were I can find Princess Twilight Sparkle?".

"Oh, you scared me. Twilight, you say? Well, she's at the her castle.  I'm just finishing up here, I can show you where she is if you like?" She asked with a smile.

"Oh, thank you ma'am, that would be nice of you."

"So, what brings you to Ponyville? Come to see the new princess?"

She pauses for a moment thinking to herself and worry darkens in her features.

"Well if we are going to make it there before she starts supper, we'd better hurry. I know what it's like having uninvited guests just show up for supper."

Rarity shoo's the Bat pony out of the shop and walks out a second later.

"Let's get going!"

After awhile of the two trotting Rarity spoke up.

"Oh, bother, I forgot my manners, my name is Rarity, and I run the most fabulous boutique chain. I have a store in Canterlot and I own the

Carousel Boutique here" she proudly introduces. "And who might you be?"

"I'm Raven Star, I was sent by Luna to be Twilights new guard".

Rarity looked surpised.

"Really, she's never had a guard before, is there any reason why Luna sent you?" Rarity asked.  "And would that make you be a friendship

guard?  Oh! did you know Fancy Pants by any chance?"

Raven speaks up.

"Yes I know him, he designed my amulet for me".  He shows the unicorn his bat pony amulet.  "Why do you ask?"

"Well, he is one of the best nobles I know. He's helped me out a few times in setting up in Canterlot. He's not as stuck up and bratty like that Prince Blue Blood. I had the misfortune of meeting Blueblood last year during the Gala. I don't know what I saw in him. Ah! but you don't want to hear about that." Rarity pauses and the continues "So, where are you from? I don't quite recognize the accent. And As for being Twilights guard I suppose Princess Luna knows what she's doing. And it would be nice to have somebody else along on our excursions."

"I'm from Canterlot."

After awhile of walking, Raven sees a big castle in the distance.

"Is that her castle?"

"Of course darling, It's the only one in town.  It is so much better than the tree she used to live in.  It was library if you can believe it. The golden oaks.  It was destroyed when Tirek attacked Pony Ville.  Now she has a castle.  So, what part of Canterlot are you from? I so adore that city I wish that I could live there permanently."

"I lived in a cave outside the city.  Celestia and Luna were nice enough to let me live there.  Do you have any sibings Rarity?"

"I have a darling little sister, Sweetie Bell and she's very presious too me. What about you Raven Star, do you have any siblings"?

The batpony had a look of sadness. "

"I did, but they pasted.  I lived by myself before I moved here."

Rarity hugged him.

"Oh darling, I'm sorry".

"Thank you".

The two ponies get to Twilight's castle and Rarity knocks on the door.

"Twilight are you home?"

They here hoof steps from behind the door then it slowly opens. Twilight gives her friend and the newcomer a smile.

"Oh, hello Rarity! How are you doing? Spike and I were just about to sit down for supper. Who's you friend? "

"I'm doing fine, dear just finished closing shop and this pony stopped by looking for you.  I'll let him introduce himself.

The batpony bows to the alicorn princess.

"It's a pleasure to meet you princess of Friendship.  I'm Raven Star, I was sent by Celestia to be your personal guard. Apparently ponies have been disappearing."

Twilight rised a brow.

"Oh? I though Celestia would have sent me a letter or contacted me beforehand. No matter, it's wonderful to meet you Raven!  Wait, Ponies have been disappearing in Ponyville? How many? Why don't I know about this?"  The alicorn said deforming in panic.

Rarity pipes up to calm her friend,

"Twilight, calm down darling.  I'm sure there's a reason why she didn't.  Why don't we listen to what Raven has to say?"

Twilight takes a deep breath, and lets it out slowly and composes herself.  She turned to the bat pony.

"Raven, can I see your orders? How does Celestia know more then me? This is my kingdom, so I have the right to see them."

The batpony hands his orders to her.  She looks it over twice to make sure they were correct, they didn't give her much info.

The purple batpony spoke up.

"There are six ponies missing at this point, Celestia didn't want you to get invoved until you had a guard cause she knows you would put yourself in danger".

Rarity agreed with the batpony, "He has a point darling".

Twilight gave what she was told some thought.

"I understand, ever since Tirek and Chrysalis invaded, I have come to realize I'll need more protection now that I'm princess. I look forward to working with you Raven Star."

Twilight ushers them to the dining room.

"Spike, we have guests!"

The littie dragon came to see the pony he had a crush on and the new comer. "Spike, this is Raven Star, he'll be living here as my new guard for now on."

"It's nice to meet you Raven Star".

The batpony greets the dragon as he enters. "Wow! this place is huge. It's amazing here".

"Well actually I find it a bit too big and empty for my purposes. I love having a castle, but with just Spike and I where it gets lonely, While I write a confirmation letter to Luna, I'll have Spike can show you to your room."

"Really, darling I don't think Raven is lying to us. He sounded serious."

"I know but I just want to know if this disappearances are that bad, and it would be nice to know why Luna didn't just contact me earlier."

Twilight turns to Raven.

"Raven, who are the six ponies that are missing?"

The batpony cleared his throat.

"Lyra, Bon Bon, Vinyl, Berry Punch, Carrot Top and Octavia."

"Oh no, who would want to hurt them"?

"I don't know, but I won't stop until I find who is behind this nd pushish them

As the bat pony entered his room, Twilight glanced at him while writing the letter to Luna. She blushed, bidding her face behind the letter after seeing how strong and toned his muscles looked.  He placed his things by the bed and followed the three to the dinning room.
