Derpy smiled as she waved at her last delivery of the day, she really enjoyed the work of mail delivery, sure it didn't pay that much and it was a bit slow at times, but the job was perfect for her since she was just a little bit… clumsy.

But it wasn't her fault that she understood things at a different pace than other people, sure, she was slow, but when she set her mind to it she was very determined, and besides, her friends knew about her very special and unique… condition that made her… well… different. “See you later Fluttershy!” Derpy said waving her hand at the yellow girl.

“Bye,” Fluttershy said in a voice that was just barely above a whisper.

Derpy laughed, her friend was just so cute and adorable, just like all of her friends, including herself by some of the comments that she received from people.

She flapped back to the truck using her very large and powerful wings, she liked flying in the air, but not too high, and she certainly wasn't a speedster like Rainbow dash was, but nonetheless she still did enjoy it whenever she could.

She smiled and started to whistle a song out loud as she drove the truck back to the main office. “Hey there Dave,” she said entering the door, “The job’s done for today, I’m going home now, okay then?” she said still smiling very brightly.

Dave looked unconcerned and lazily replied, “Okay,” but that was normal since as he said often, “I don't really care anymore.”

Derpy kept giving him a warm smile hoping that she could get him to smile back, but he didn't, he just stroked the fur on his body unconcerned about her.

“What?” he said, “Do I have something in my teeth or fur?”

Derpy sighed, oh well, she thought to herself, maybe another day.

“No, I’m just happy to see my friends, that’s all.”

Dave scoffed, “I’m not your friend Ditzy, I’m not anyone’s friend.”

Derpy winced at the nickname, “Please don't call me that…”

“What? Ditzy? Oh, come on, you know that it’s a good nickname,” he said continuing to antagonize her, “I mean it’s all that you’re good at Klutzy Doo.”

She tried not to get angry at him, she knew that he was a jerk and that his doctors even said that his condition made him more violent and like that way, even if it was only in words, but she just hated that nickname. Her whole entire life she had been called Ditsy and Klutzy…

And she just wanted that nickname to end…

She tried to hold back her tears, “You know, just because your life sucks, well that doesn't mean that you have to make others suck too! Or that you should! Because guess what? You can be kind, you can be nice and generous for once! Make a change to be better and people will actually like you for once!”

He glared at her very angrily, “Oh fuck you,” he said.

She gasped, he didn't swear at her, did he? Sure, he may have been rude and insulted people, but never this much before. “Fuck you Derpy, fuck you and this job, fuck the world, I just want people to fucking die already because they’re fucking stupid! They’re all fucking stupid! No one goddamn single person has a single ounce of intelligence! Fuck the world, fuck religion, fuck politicians, and most of all fuck you!” he said getting up from his chair and pointing his finger at her while he kept shoving her back very roughly. “Fuck your smile! Fuck you being happy all the time! I hate it! I hate you! I hate everyone and I wish that people would just shut the fuck up and fucking leave me alone! And it’s their fault when they want to try making friends with me because I just shove them the fuck away! Damn you Derpy! Damn you and everyone else to hell!”

Suddenly he pushed her back harder than before, so much so that she landed in a pile of boxes. He glared at her very angrily and then before she could react he picked her up by her shoulders and held her very close to his face.

“Fuck you,” he said one last time before shoving her back down again.

He then left her all alone as she started to cry.

The next day came and Dave didn't show up.

Well, that figured. Derpy had told the manager what had happened and he informed both the police and Doctors and apparently, he had stopped taking his medication, and that was the only thing that kept him sane enough to work, without it he was considered very dangerous and violent, to the point of abuse.

Luckily Derpy wasn't hurt other than her emotions and the manager was sympathetic to her cause, he decided to give her a day off.

“It’s okay Derpy, he’s sort of like you, misunderstood, different, odd, unique, and… well… strange. But we all are,” Charles said, “Why don't you take a day off if you need to? I'll understand, come back to work only when you feel like it.”

Derpy sniffed the tears away, “D-Do you mean it?” she stuttered.

“Yes, I do, honestly Derpy I… well… first, don't tell anyone else this, but I kind of have a crush on you and really like you, and if you do tell anyone else I will fire you. But you’re one of the best people that I have ever met.

The only person that could rival your joy and enthusiasm is Pinkie Pie, enthusiasm, but you can bring a smile to anybody, you may not be the fastest, or the smartest, but you are the hardest working and most determined woman that I have ever seen here before, keep that up and you’ll go far.”

A smile started to creep its way onto her face.

“See? There, that’s more like the Derpy that I know, don't cry, smile.”

"Thanks Charles, I think that I'll take that day off deal.”

Charles smiled and then laughed, “Alright, fine then, just make sure to enjoy yourself and keep smiling, okay then?”

“Yeah, sure thing,” she said smiling again as she got up, shook his hand, thanked him very politely, and then left. She smiled as she left the room but then glanced back towards the mail room and then came up with a brilliant and genius idea, maybe he could make one special delivery today!

She looked around for what she wanted and then smiled, perfect!

With what she wanted she slowly flew over to her desired house and rang the doorbell. Soon enough Azure Cloud stepped outside to greet her.

“Oh, hey there Derpy!” he said scratching his horse ears, “What brings you over here? I mean don't you have work today or something like that.”

Suddenly she stuck a stamp on her nose, “See?” she said.

Azure laughed, “Yeah, I see that now, thanks,” he said gently pulling the stamp off of her nose, “You’re the best gift that anyone could ever deliver to me.”

She smiled, then blushed, “So you know, I’ve been thinking a bit recently, I mean we’ve been dating for a few months now, right?” she said very nervously.

Uh-oh, Azure thought to himself, either this is really good, or really bad instead.

“Yes?” he said also very nervously.

“Well I like you… and you like me… but…”

Oh no, here it comes, Azure thought to himself. Please make the breakup easy on me, please.

“I was thinking that we could take our relationship to the next level.”

He blinked his eyes in surprise letting his wings pop back up after they folded in fear with what Derpy had previously said to him before. “Wait, what?” he said.

“Yes, I mean I know that I’m a rather slow learner, but maybe you could teach me something,” she said still smiling at him very seductively.

Azure blushed red more than before, he knew exactly what she meant by that.

“Uh yeah, sure thing, but do you really want it right now?”

She smiled at him, “Well, I do have the day off, don't I?”

“That’s a fair enough point, alright fine then, let’s do it inside,”

She chuckled very slightly, “Nervous about people seeing us together?”

"No, I just don't want to do it out in the open just yet.”

She smiled as she entered his house and caught the odor of a clean house surprisingly enough, “Okay, fair enough, but I see that you finally cleaned up in here.”

“Yes, I thought that it was about time,”

“Well then, thanks, that will make this easier,” she said slipping off her mail bag.

“Uh, can we do it in my room if you’re ready for this?” Azure said.

“Yes, sure thing,” Derpy said, “Just don't get any funny ideas with me unless I tell you so, I may be slow, but I’m not stupid you know.”

“Yes, of course,” he said gulping very nervously as they went into his room, closed the door, and then they both stood around waiting. “So, should I go first or-?”
