Chapter 1

The smell of burned flesh filled my nostrils and the curtain of black smoke clouded my view to the point that there was nothing at all. Shadows surrounded me in all direction and no matter how hard I tried, there is nothing to see beyond my nose. I suddenly heard a sound in the distance. At first, it was soft and subtle, to soft for me to hear. Then I could hear it grow louder until it became more like a soft whisper.

Finally it was loud enough for it to not be speach, but whimpers and crying. Such heartbreaking cries, they left me trembling from the very depths of my soul. It was then i could feel a burning sensation all over my body. Such unbearable pain that was followed by bleak emptiness of my core.

"Run... and don't look back." The weakened, bodiless voice cried. The same one that spoke out to me suddenly, but left my heart wrenched when I recognized it.

"Dad, NOOO!!"
