Setting up camp

Previous Chapter

Hey, it’s Sam again. I know you all were probably expecting Christie to get her first part in, but she’s out with our allies working on a special project.

So, I guess I’ll talk about the interrogation of Shining Armor, as well as where we went. Well, to put it bluntly, I woke him up, asked him where the nearest settlement was, shot him in the knee cap when he didn’t give me an answer, asked him again, then knocked him out and dressed the wound before stuffing him into the Nomade next to Christies seat, the captured Resistance-or rebellion, I honestly didn’t give a fuck then nor do I now- mare on the other side, Josh already in the passenger seat next to me.

He looked back at Shining, who was stuffed behind him, and said, “Hope he doesn’t bleed out.

“Do you really care?” I asked. “We’re going to a settlement, which means more ponies to take and question.”

“You want the pragmatic answer, or the opposite one?”

“Why not both?” I asked with a joking tone.

“Well, practically speaking, yes as it may cause more trouble if we continue to abduct officers. Personally, I couldn’t care less. The most development he got in the show was when his daughter was born, and she hasn’t been born here far as I can tell,” he said. “So personally, fuck it if he lives or dies, that’s on less bland pony in the world.”

“Uh huh,” I said. “And how much non-emo kid persona does Luna have, again?”

He glared at me. “First off: fuck you. Second: Touche. Third: that would be the show writers stupidity, and we aren’t in the canon universe. Even then, this world’s Luna is a possible servant to Sombra.”

“Just saying,” I said, holding my hands up.

“Can one of you get out so I can get in?” Christie said as she came around to my door. “Preferably you, sis, since I’m at your door?”

I rolled my eyes. “Just make sure to not disturb the packages in the back,” I said as I got out of the Nomad.

Christie shook her head as she got in. “The only reason I won’t complain is because this thing doesn’t have a cargo hold.”

“Make sure to knock ‘em out if they wake up,” Josh said as Christie got in and I climbed back in, closing the hatches after I got seated.

“Oh, really?” Christie said. “I figured you’d want me to treat their injuries.”

“Already did that,” I said as I got the Nomad going back south.

“I was being sarcastic.”

“And have you not met me?” I replied.

“Yes I have,” she said. “That’s the only reason I can tolerate you.”

“Love you too, sis,” I said.

We drove-well, I drove, they rode- a few hours until a city came into view, passing by small hills and what looked like small military camps on the way. Once the city came into view, I stopped on top of a hill nearby, and we got out, Josh and Christie carrying our prisoners.

“Any idea what city that is?” Christie asked.

No one spoke for a few seconds, but I saw Josh look around, even with his helmet on. “Going off the fact it resembles Manhattan back home, I’m going to assume this is Manehattan. And mane as in horse hair.”

“How punny,” Christie muttered.

“So, what are we going to do?” I asked. “We have no supplies.”

“We’ll have to steal,” Josh said. “Christie, you’re the only one of us who can go invisible, so you’ll have to do that. This’ll be our camp until things change.”

“Guess that’ll do,” I said. “Okay, I’ll interrogate Shining. Christie, see what you can get us. Preferably a tent or two, I can sleep in the Nomad if need be. Some food, too, if possible. Josh, get to work on breaking our other captive.”

Josh, who was carrying his charge, nodded. “On it,” he said.

“I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Christie said before dropping Shining Armor, then activating her active camo module, slowly fading to the point where you could only tell she was there by looking for distortions in the area.

I looked at Josh. “Hey, I said I wouldn’t do anything sexual,” he said, knowing what I was going to say. “But if she turns out to be a masochist, then I’ll need to improvise,” he added before walking away, leaving the immediate area around the Nomad to my prisoner and me.

I squatted to where I could use my omni-tool to wake him up with a zap, and before doing said action, said to myself, “Let’s see what you know.” Good thing I took those anatomy classes.

Author's Note

I didn't want to put a torture scene in simply because I know I can't do it. Those who have read my warframe displaced know that already.
