"How many minutes do we have till it hits the sun princess Twilight, " Celestia asked nervously.
"Roughly about 8 minutes, " Twilight responded.
"Everypony looks to us for answers, everypony believes in us, everypony prays to us.....who do we pray to, " Cadence whispered.
"Whatever we shall do we must do in 16 minutes before Equis gets its last ray of light from the current sun, " Luna said looking up at the sun.
Spike walked into the kitchen as Twilight's magic moved around multiple ingredients with her magic, "So what are we having for dinner tonight Twilight?"
Twilight looked over her shoulder with a caring smile before she returned to making her food, "Don't you remember Spike you are sleeping over at Pinkies so that you can start helping extra early."
"Remind me again why I have to help her with cooking, she can handle cooking it's her job."
"Well she was offering to pay you in gems and she is having a hard time with Gummy, he's been very sick."
"Oh yeah, well I guess I should go head over there."
"Remember to get your pajamas and don't forget to brush your teeth, remember what it costs to get dragon tooth pulled when you got a cavity."
Spike grumbled under his breath, "Yeah yeah, I got it." Spike was about to leave when he gasped and burped green fire which was followed by a letter falling to the ground.
Twilight instinctively turned her head at the familiar sound, "Who's it from?"
Spike rolled open the letter and cleared his throat as he read aloud, "Dear Spike I am sending this letter before to let you know that the next letter I send is for Princess Twilight: Princess of Friendship's eyes only." Spike frowned in confusion before another letter came through the dragon's fire. Spike held the letter out for Twilight.
Twilight shared the same confused look as Spike as her magic took the letter from the spike and held it up to read, "Dear Twilight I need you to bring all books that you own on space and come to Canterlot as fast as you can." - Princess Celestia.
Twilight looked at spike with a worried look, "I have to go to Canterlot."
Twilight ran into Luna's room, "What is it, Princesses?"
Celestia was laying on a couch surrounded by books, some open some closed, reading a book with glasses perched on her nose. Luna was sitting at a table on the balcony switching between looking through a telescope and writing in one of many open journals and doodle pads.
Luna's magic ripped out a page from one of her notepads and handed it to Twilight without looking away from her work.
"We have been tracking an anomaly for about three months now and have found something heading towards our solar system."
Luna sighed then levitated her open notebook to her, "Go to the red book marker and follow it through to the blue one.
Twilight took the notebook in her magic inside was a drawn picture of the night sky. She flipped through and noticed a large dark scribble moving along the page. It was definitely getting bigger, "What is it Luna?"
Luna gave a confused look and took her notebook back. Celestia moved the book away from her face, "I personally believe that it is some sort of asteroid. There isn't a lot of facts to support it but by Luna's calculations it is heading towards our system and on a more serious note like you said, it is getting bigger."
Luna held up a pill, took a drink of some coffee', dropped the pill into her mouth then gulped, "We know a lot about space and we can track just about far away this object is and how fast it's going. That is why I am curious and scared. We know that this thing is a massive object, we can't tell exactly how large it is but like I said it is going fast, unnaturally fast. I don't know how this massive object could be going this fast and I have thought up some situations but they are not enough, they all have holes.
Twilight frowned, "Do you think its could hit Equis?"
Luna shook her head, "We can't tell as of now."
