He used to be the smartest professor in Equestria. He was best known for creating all sorts of genetically altered creatures. "Mares and Gentlestallions, I give you my latest creation.", he says as he pulls off a tarp. Underneath it is a creature with a snake tail, a goat body, bird wings and a bat's head. The audience is impressed by the creation. A judge enters on the stage holding a blue ribbon. "Professor Z, it looks like you've done it again.", the judge says. He gives him the ribbon and everypony applauds at his great work. "Thank you all. Nothing can make me feel more honored than receiving this award." He then smiles with great pride for his creation that everypony is amazed to experience. But it turns out he wasn't using genetic engineering at all. Instead he took caged animals, tore them limb from limb and fused their body parts together. "Hello, my caged friends.", he says. "It's time for my new creation." He confronts a flamingo, a mouse, a wolf and an iguana. He takes them out of their cages and straps them to experimental plates. "The science fair is in a few days. So I better get to work.", he says as he pulls out his tool cart. The animals then start panicking and the professor stops. "Oops, I forgot to tranquilize them." He then takes out several needles and injects them with sedatives each. The animals then starts to get drowsy and lose consciousness. "Ah, that's better.", he says. He takes out scalpel and dissects the mouse first, he takes out the organs and takes the empty body onto another plate. He then takes out a hacksaw and uses it to cut the wings off the flamingo. After that he implants the wings on the empty mouse body. He moves onto the iguana and uses scissors to cut the tail off and sews it onto the backside of the mouse. Finally, he then uses a cleaver to cut the paws off of the wolf and connects them to the mouse body. With all the body parts in place he puts the organs back into the body. All that's left to do is to use electricity to bring the new creature to life. "That medal is mine." One day as he was about to prepare his next experiment, he was discovered. His door was left open as his marefriend enters without him noticing. "Honey.", she says. "I wanted to know if you were..." She then stops and sees the professor with a severed chicken head. She then screams in horror and runs away. He goes after her and just before she reaches the police station, he snaps her neck causing her to go limp and die. Realizing what he did, he takes the body and throws it into a river. The next day, a mare who's sunbathing then discovers the body and runs off to the hospital. The body is taken to the autopsy morgue and the forensic scientists recognize her as Professor Z's marefriend. The police bursts into the professor's lab only to discover that he's mutilating animals and fusing them together. As a result, he gets arrested, his laboratory gets demolished, the caged animals get set free and the mutated animals get euthanized. "I demand you to release me this instant!", the professor shouts. "Do you not realize who I am?!" "We know who you are alright.", a police pony says. "You have the right to remain silent for what you have been committing behind everypony's backs.". another police pony says. He growls as he is taken to a police carriage and is taken away, He's then is court wearing a straightjacket and strapped to a metal dolly. "All rise.", the bailiff says. "The honorable Judge Filed Lawsuit is presiding." The jury and audience rise as the judge enters and faces the professor. The jury and audience then sit back down. "Professor Z, you are being charged of murdering your marefriend, mutilating animals and illegally creating artificial creatures.", the judge says. "How do you plead?" "Not guilty, Your Honor.", Z says. "I have been creating life to show alternative creatures that can be displayed as exotics." "Well, you've claimed that you've used genetic engineering, but instead you've torn apart animals and fused them together to make hybrids. You will remain seated for the remainder of the court." Two hours later, the jury returns to the courtroom and the judge confronts the professor. "Has the jury reached a verdict?", the judge asks. "Yes, Your Honor.", a male juror says. "We the jury find the defendant, Professor Z, guilty." "Professor Z, for all of these atrocities you've committed recently and previously, I hereby sentence you to thirty years in the Canterlot Mental Asylum. Court is adjourned." He pounds his gavel and the professor is taken away. Ten years later, he places clay onto the door and pours kerosene on it. The kerosene makes the clay boil and explodes the door open. The alarms blare and the staff burst into the hallway. The professor runs out while the staff chases after him. He runs towards a window and jumps out of it. The staff continue chasing after him until he runs into the Everfree Forest. The staff stop in their tracks and refuse to enter the forest. They leave the forest as the professor runs further into the forest. "Those fools should never have put me in that retched asylum.", he says. "Well, It's time for Professor Z to make his outstanding comeback. But where do I start?" He then takes a peek out and sees a small town and smiles. "Ponyville. Perfect." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Professor Strikes Back //-------------------------------------------------------// The Professor Strikes Back Professor Z has created a new laboratory in the Everfree Forest after sneaking in and out of Ponyville stealing all sorts of technology. Everypony who heard about his escape assumed he was killed by the creatures of the forest, but he actually wasn't. He has been continuing his experimenting, however he is unable to due to the instability of the creatures. He has then taken unsuspecting pets from that town and has made more fused animals like he was doing before he was discovered. "Ah. The sweet feeling of animal mutilation and fusing.", he says. "It feels as good as it was ten years ago." He then grabs his artificial wings and prepares to take off. "Time to get more food for my creations." He takes off and sets off to Ponyville. He then spots a small group of ponies and lands on a nearby building, making sure he isn't seen. He has a good view of the group. He sees a lavender alicorn mare, an alabaster unicorn mare, a cyan pegasus mare, an orange earth pony mare, a yellow pegasus mare and a pink earth pony mare. "Girls, have you been hearing all these reports about disappearing pets?", the alicorn asks. "I know. It just doesn't make any sense.", the unicorn says. "And even more unexplained, there were some unicorns who had pets and they didn't feel any magic when their pets disappeared." "Well one thing is for sure, we better find a way to make sure no other pets will disappear.", the pegasus says. "She's right.", the alicorn says. "Alright girls, spread out and warn other pet owners that their pets are at the risk of disappearing." They all spread out and the professor takes in what he had witnessed. "So they're going to try and stop my experiments, are they?", Z says to himself. "This could be a problem to my obsession. This must be stopped." He sets off and pursues each member of the group. He follows each one of them as they warn every citizen who owns a pet about their risk of disappearing as well. Nightfall occurs and the ponies regroup. "Alright girls, have we warned every pet owner in Ponyville?", the alicorn asks. "I think so.", the cyan pegasus says. The yellow pegasus then gasps. "Oh, my goodness, I just realized something!", she says. "What is it, Fluttershy?", the orange earth pony asks. "We're pet owners ourselves. What if they're in danger of disappearing as well?" They all gasp in understanding. "Oh, my gosh. I don't want to lose my pet alligator from some mysterious method of disappearance. He means the word to me and I have no idea how I'll be able to cope with the lose of him. I mean if he was like a son to me, I would be devastated if that too were to happen and I would have to search high and low for days on end until-", the pink mare rambles before she gets her mouth covered. "Don't worry, Pinkie.", the unicorn says. "We're all going to guard our pets with our lives to make sure they won't disappear." "Alright girls, I have a plan.", the alicorn says. "We're all going to sleep over at my castle to make sure all of our pets are safe and still together. Agreed?" "Agreed?", they all say in unison. "Alright. Let's gather our pets." They all split up again while the professor thinks of a plan. "Well, how about that.", he says to himself. "There's a castle in this place and they're all gathering there along with their pets. It's looks like I hit the jackpot." He puts on his wings and prepares to take off. "I better go grab my equipment.", he says before taking off back to the forest. Soon, the ponies all gather at the castle and sleep in their own sleeping backs. They also are with their own pets. The alicorn is with an owl, the unicorn with a cat, the cyan pegasus with a turtle, the orange earth pony with a dog, the yellow pegasus with a bunny and the pink earth pony with an alligator. A dragon then enters the room and gives them all glasses and of warm milk. "Here you go, girls. Glasses of fresh, warm milk.", he says. They all take the glasses and give half of their glasses to their pets and drink the rest. "OK. Are you all ready to go to bed?" "Yep, we're all ready.", the alicorn says. "Alright. Goodnight, girls.", he says. "Goodnight, Spike.", they all say. He leaves the rooms and closes the door. The group then fall asleep and their pets all sleep with their owners. What they don't know is that they're not alone. The professor has reached the castle and managed to sneak in through the window. He reaches the floor and tiptoes to the pets. He then accidentally steps on the cat's tail and it screams in pain. It wakes up the whole group and they all scream. The pets all run away and he goes after them. The mares try to do whatever they can to stop him but he dodges them and takes a pet each. Soon he has all of the pets and escapes with them in his cage. "Oh, my gosh.", the alicorn says. "Those other pets didn't disappear. They were stolen. We've gotta warn the town!" The girls then take off and head out to want all of the pet owners to warn them about the true cause of the disappearing pets. //-------------------------------------------------------// In Search of the Pets //-------------------------------------------------------// In Search of the Pets The next morning, the citizens gather around the center of town with the group confronting them and warning them about the real cause of the disappearing pets. "Mares and gentlestallions, we have found the answer to the mystery of the disappearing pets.", the alicorn says. "Well what is it?", an earth pony stallion asks. "There's an earth pony stallion who stole our pets. And I get the feeling he must have stolen all of your pets", the white unicorn says. All of the citizens talk at once. "Did you all get a good look at this mysterious stallion?", a pegasus mare asks. The alicorn projects an image of the mysterious stallion. "Who is that?", a unicorn stallion asks. "We don't know ", the cyan pegasus asks. "We just saw him last night." "It seems as though we've solved one mystery and another one has just started.", the orange earth pony says. "Alright. Everypony needs to keep all of their pets safe and we'll try to find any information about this stallion", the alicorn says They all spread out and reinforce their homes, while the group look for information about the stallion. Meanwhile, the professor has the pets in the cage and activates his lab. All of the pets get nervous about what's going to happen to them. "Shut up. You won't be panicking after I'm done with all of you!", he shouts to them. They stop panicking and are trembling in fear. "Well let's not waste anymore time and get to work." He opens the cage, but before he can experiment on them, the pets escape and run all over the lab. He growls and goes after them. The owl and the tortoise fly around and bump into ceiling lamps, the cat and the dog hop onto the tables and knock off the hoof tools and beakers and the bunny and the alligator run across cages containing the previous creatures now as monsters. The professor stops and thinks. He then gets an idea and puts on a gas mask. Z then heads to a button and pushes it, making vents open and release a sedative gas. The pets then breath in the gas and lose consciousness. The professor then takes the pets and straps them all on experimental tables. "Now it's time to get to work.", he says as he picks up a hacksaw. He first takes the owl and uses the hacksaw to cut both of its wings off, next he then takes out a cleaver and uses it to cuts the cat's body in half. He then grabs a metal wire and places it under the bunny's neck. He puts his knee on it and pulls the wire up. He keeps pulling it until the bunny is completely decapitated. Up next is the tortoise and he uses a jack to pry it out of its shell. With the tortoise out of its shell, he straps it to a double sided table and cranks a wheel and pulls the tortoise's body apart. After that he takes out a scalpel and removes the scales from the alligator on the upper half of its body until it's all bare while leaving the bottom half in tact. He uses the scalpel again and dissects the dog. He then takes out its organs and peels off the flaps of skin from its body. "The sweet taste of gore.", the professor says. "I've missed you so much." When nightfall came again, the group of mares gather all of the citizens into the center of town. "Everypony we have found out who this mysterious stallion is.", the alicorn says as she projects the image again. "His name is Professor Z.", the unicorn mare says. "Ten years ago, he was known as the greatest professor of all time, because he has been using genetic engineering to create exotic creatures.", the cyan pegasus says. "Or so they thought.", the orange earth pony says. "It turned out he wasn't using genetic engineering, he was mutilating animals and fusing their body parts together to turn them into disgusting monsters." The alicorn the projects all of the creatures the professor has butchered and the citizens are horrified and disgusted. "As you can see, all of these animals have been torn apart and put together poorly. And they had to have been euthanized to make sure they'll be at peace.", the yellow pegasus says. "And he's escaped from the Canterlot Mental Asylum and managed to escape into the Everfree Forest. He has never been seen since.", the pink earth pony mare says. "Until now." "It seems he's taken refuge in the forest and has made a new laboratory there. He's also been taking pets and once again using them for his experiments.", the alicorn says. "What are we gonna do?", an earth pony stallion says. "We're going to get that professor, put him back in that asylum and take back the pets before they become deformed. Who's with us?!" The citizens are rally and begin to head out into the Everfree Forest. The professor has just finished his experiment and marvels at his newest creation. He then sighs in pride. "Out of all of my previous creations, this has to be my crowning achievement.", Professor Z says. He then notices voices and walks to the source. He sees a group of ponies who are being led by the group of mares he came across last night. The alicorn has her horn glowing. "He's around here somewhere. I can feel his aura.", the alicorn says. "Cripes. They're onto me.", he says. "I'm refuse to go back to that mental asylum." He then gets an idea and releases all the previous creatures he's created. The creatures escape and run out of the lab. The group and the citizens travel deeper into the forest when the pink earth pony mare starts twitching. "Pinkie, what are you doing?", the cyan pegasus asks. "My Pinkie Senses are tingling.", the earth pony mare says. "Well what's happening?", the alicorn asks. They hear some growling and stop dead in their tracks. The look around to find the source of the growling. The yellow pegasus then sees glowing eyes in bushes. The pink mare inflates and stops. "So what's happening?" The eyes then emerge from the bushes revealing mutated creatures. "Twilight, what are these monsters?", the white unicorn asks. She then realizes that those creatures are made of their missing pets. "Girls, those are the missing pets. They've all been butchered like the creatures the professor did ten years ago.", the alicorn says. "Well we can't stay here that's for sure.", the orange earth pony says. "Everypony run!!!" All the citizens run around as the creatures chase after the citizens. The all the citizens run out of the forest, but the group stays where they are. They all get cornered, they are about to be devoured by the experiments, their dragon friend jumps in and breaths his fire on all the monsters, burning them all alive. They open their eyes and see the dragon. "Spike, it's you.", the alicorn says. "What are you doing here?", the cyan pegasus says. "I was really worried about you girls, so I went into the forest and was searching for you.", he says. "I was about to give up when I heard you all screaming in fear." "Well we're glad you saved us, Spike.", the unicorn says. They all then approach the charred remains of the experiments. "Poor creatures. They didn't deserve to be mutilated.", the orange earth pony says. "Well at least they're all finally at peace.", the yellow pegasus says. "Come on, girls. We gotta find that professor and our pets.", the pink mare says. The alicorn powers her horn again and leads off. The other ponies and dragon then follow her and search for the laboratory in the forest. //-------------------------------------------------------// Reaching the Laboratory //-------------------------------------------------------// Reaching the Laboratory Professor Z marvels at his newest creation. "A very phenomenal piece of art if I do say so myself.", he says. "Stop right there!", a voice says. He turns his head and sees the group of ponies he encountered last night, along with a baby dragon. "What? How did you all survive?", he asks. "Our friend, Spike, took care of those animals.", the cyan pegasus says. "And thanks to him, those animals can finally rest in peace.", the yellow pegasus says. "You should be ashamed of yourself. Those animals never volunteered to be mutilated and butchered back together.", the unicorn says. The professor then growls and gets an idea. "Well if you do want those pets to rest in peace, would you be willing to put your pets down?" He then reveals the cage and the group is horrified. Inside the cage was a creature that has half a body of a cat, hanging from the mouth of a bunny's head, that's on top of a tortoise fused with the bottom of an alligator body, with the bottom flesh of a dog and owl wings on its back. "Oh, my gosh.", the alicorn says. "What did you do to our pets?" "I turned them into my latest creation.", the professor says. "So tell me. Are you all willing to put your own pets down? Seize them!" The creature then charges to the group and tries attacking them. All of the members try to attack it, but remember it's their pets trying to attack them. "Girls, what's the matter?", the dragon asks. "We can't attack them. They're still our pets.", the yellow pegasus says. "I know they're still your pets, but their gone now. And nothing is gonna save them or bring them back now." "He's right. You'll have to put your pets down if you want to catch me.", Z says. "Let them live or put them at peace. It's your choice." The creature pounces and maims them slowly and painfully. The mares are left wounded and bleeding. The unicorn and alicorn try to use their magic to heal themselves but are too weak to cast spells. The professor laughs manically. "Well, well, well. It seems that you're all too weak willed to put your precious pets out of their misery. OK, time to finish all of you." He then feels something hot and jumps up in pain. He looks back and sees that his tail is burnt to the bare skin. He then sees the dragon and smacks his forehead. "I can't believe I forgot about the dragon. I really should pay attention to the outside world more often." He then prepares his wings and runs to him. "You won't get away with this.", the dragon says. "You're dead meat!", the professor says. He runs away and gets chased by the stallion. He then sees the monster about to kill his friends and before he can save them, the stallion catches him. "Your friends have interfered with my experimenting long enough. Now It's time for them to die." The dragon then breaths fire on his face and he screams in pain. The dragon then runs off and fights the monster. While the dragon and the monster are fighting, the mares confront the professor. "Professor Z, your days of mutilating animals are about to come to an end.", the alicorn says. He activates his wings and goes after them. The mares then battle against the professor until the pink mare hops on his back and pulls off his wings. The professor then falls and hits the ground. The mares surround the professor and grapple him before he can attack anymore. " Release me this instant. Do you all not know who I am? I am Professor Z. The greatest scientist in all of Equestria.", the professor says. "That's right. And your reputation has hit rock bottom.", the unicorn says. "And you hit the ground which has rocks on the bottom.", the pink earth pony mare says. Her friends all look at her awkwardly. "I'll work on that." The mares take the professor back to Ponyville and the police stallions face him. "Officers, I believe we've found your escaped convict.", the alicorn says "Welcome back, Professor Z.", one of them says. "It's time to put you back, but this time, in a more reinforced cell." "For the first time in my life, I have no idea how to respond to that.", Z says. They take the professor away and the citizens applaud them to taking the professor back. "Well what happened to our pets.", a pegasus mare asks. "They're all gone.", the yellow pegasus says. "But at least they'll all rest in peace." The citizens sag their heads then accept reality. "OK, everypony. Let's just be thankful that scientist won't be torturing anymore animals.", a unicorn stallion says. "Let's all go home and continue with our lives." All of the citizens go back home as the mares and the dragon stay put. They all confront the monster that used to be their pets and stare at it with pity. "Well we better put them all down.", the alicorn says. "It's the right thing to do.", the yellow pegasus says. "Goodbye, Owlowicious. You've been the best nighttime study bird ever.", the alicorn says. "Fare thee well, Opalescence. No cat will ever be as beautiful as you.", the unicorn says. "See ya, Tank. Out of all the pets who have been the most loyal to me, you were number one.", the cyan pegasus says. "I'll never forget you, Winona. I'll always remember all those time we rally those cows.", the orange earth pony says. "Don't worry, Angel. I'll still have the other animals to keep me company. But you'll always be my favorite bunny.", the yellow pegasus says. "So long, Gummy. You've always been there to make me smile, but I'll find other ways to make me smile.", the pink earth pony mare says. "Shall I do the honors?", the dragon asks. They all nod and he approaches them. "Rest in peace, you precious pets." He breaths fire on it and leave it to burn to ashes. The mares follow the dragon as they leave all of the pets to perish.
