Or Twilight could miss. After all, she is very fast. Not only that, but she’d probably tell Princess Celestia if she found out that Spike had been taking advantage of three of her friends while under a spell. And she’d probably have him exiled, or banished, or banished and exiled.
“So what have you guys been up to today?”
“Oh you know uh...just baking with Pinkie Pie.”

Spike and them finally made it back to the library. He tried to think of a way to ditch Rainbow Dash so he could get the letter written.

It wasn’t working, Spike’s face turned bright red and turned stunned with fear as he desperately tried to think of anything to say. Feeling defeated he uttered out the one thing he wished he didn’t have to say.
“Twilight hit her with the obedience spell!”

Spike continued with his hasty pursuit. Meanwhile, Rainbow was having a hell of a time dodging Twilight’s attacks. He could faintly make out the jet streams of Twilight and Rainbow plummeting down towards the Everfree Forest. Spike felt a fraction less terrified. At least Rainbow didn’t make it to Princess Celestia.
Rainbow Dash broke through the canopy of the tree tops and pulled up mere feet above the ground. Swerving through countless trees and branches, hoping to get ahead of Twilight. She didn’t bother looking back, she darted forward as fast as she could maneuver until finally, she stopped.
