It was a bright day in Ponyville and every pony seems to have something to do; the earth ponies and unicorns were busy with their own jobs or tasks while the Pegasi were flying around, moving certain clouds to certain areas. Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, AppleJack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash were at the location of the Crystal Empire, so they weren’t there to assist in any tasks. As every pony worked, one pony walks through town and didn’t seem familiar to anyone. She was a unicorn mare with a pearl white hide with a silver and black mane that curled and framed her face while it blew in the wind. Her emerald green eyes sparkled in the sunlight and her smile was able to brighten any pony’s day. Her cutie mark was that of three jewels; a pinky white pearl, a pale blue diamond, and a dark red ruby. She also carried some bags behind her, using her magic to carry it since there were about 4 of them and she couldn’t carry them all.
The unicorn walks through Ponyville and randomly greets those who pass by her, leaving smiles in her path like when Pinkie Pie walks by. When she reaches the center of town and near town hall, she hears someone calling for her from behind; it was Mayor Mare and a pink Pegasus with a blue mane and tail; her cutie mark was a stick of cotton candy.
“Hello dear, you must be new here. I’m the mayor of Ponyville and this young Pegasus is a student of mine, Candy Floss.” Candy Floss smiles and greets the new pony. The unicorn smiles and speaks in a meek but sweet voice that was slightly louder than Fluttershys'.
“It’s so nice to meet you all. My name is Royal Pearl and I just came from a town just outside of Manehatten.” Mayor Mare smiled at the pony and moved closer to her.
“Well Royal Pearl, welcome to Ponyville. You are more than welcome to take residence in one of our lovely homes.” Pearl smiles and bows slightly.
“Thank you so much Mayor.”
After talking to the mayor for a little while longer, the two and Candy Floss walk and search for a new home.
“So what kind of job were you thinking of having Royal Pearl.” Candy Floss asks kindly.
“Please call me Pearl. And one of the talents I have that got me my cutie mark was finding and collecting jewels, so maybe I’ll do my own business selling jewels I find.” Candy Floss smiles and nods at the response.
“I think I know some pony that would be more than happy to buy the jewels.” Pearl smiles and keeps talking to Candy Floss till the mayor shows the perfect home for her. The house was 2 stories tall and had 3 bedrooms as well as having a good kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large basement; it was also close to the Carousel Boutique.
“Would this be a good home for you Pearl?” The unicorn seems to be in deep thought while looking at the house, her eyes seeming to have an odd glimmer in them. After a few minutes, she turns to the two and gives a sweet smile.
“It’s perfect; I’d love to live here.” The mayor smiles and nods then walks with the two back to town hall so that she could sign papers and get the keys for the house. When they were done, Pearl moves into the home and gets everything unpacked, planning on getting to know the other ponies once she was comfortable.
