Pinkie Pie was in Ponyville getting party supplies for parties that she was going to hold in the future. While she was getting supplies she also took a few detours and greeted other ponies. Then after doing this she continued to head back to Sugarcube Corner. When she got back to Sugarcube Corner and put her supplies away.
After she did this she came upon the tribute statue of Twilight Sparkle that was built to remember her in the battle that took her life when she sacrificed her life to kill that creature that invaded Equestria. who was her friend. She stopped to admire the tribute to her deceased friend. Somepony walked up to her and looked at it with her. That pony spoke to Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie turned to look at the pony and saw that it was Mayor Mare.
"It's one of our most accomplished and recognized statues and it's one of the finest piece of work in Equestria overall. It captures Twilight perfectly. She was a brilliant pony and this statue remembers her." Mayor Mare said to Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie nodded as she looked at the statue. The sight of he statue of Twilight took her breath away.
"After Twilight's death due to the battle we started to construct this statue in memory of her while Ponyville got rebuilt. We used photos of her to make the statue portray her as a great hero standing proudly since she was a hero. It's a very artistic piece of work." Mayor Mare said. Pinkie Pie stared at it for the longest time. Mayor Mare looked at it for a few moments and then turned to Pinkie Pie.
"Pinkie Pie are you okay? I'm just checking to see because I've never seen you look at it so intently before. But that's okay if you do look at it like that. I can understand what it's like to remember a friend." Mayor Mare said. Pinkie Pie nodded at her and continued to stare at he statue of her best friend who she wouldn't see until the afterlife.
Mayor Mare patted Pinkie Pie on the back and walked to the town hall of Ponyville. Pinkie Pie stopped looking at it and walked away with Twilight on her mind. She couldn't think of something else. She decided to go to someplace where a better remembrance of her would be and that was Twilight Sparkle's place. She decided she would take a trip to Twilight's place to remember Twilight more.
She then arrived at Twilight's place and she stopped outside of it and stared at it as she remembered the last time Twilight was in it and that was two days before the battle with the creature after the creature emerged mysteriously in Ponyville. She took a deep breath and walked up to the door to the place and then opened it and went inside.
Pinkie Pie saw that it was restored to save the image of Twilight's home. Everything was left as Ponyville had decided to never mess with the home of Twilight as it was a reminder of the great pony that they had lost. They decided to only make it a small memorial as it that what Twilight wouldn't have wanted it to be a huge museum. She would have wanted the library stay as its true self and they did allow ponies to look inside it under supervision of a tour guide so that nopony could mess with it.
Other than that it was never messed with or changed. Outside however there was a memorial built outside by the home of Twilight. That was the only thing that was changed on the property to remember Twilight. There was also a portrait of Twilight inside that was installed but other than that the library was preserved in its original form.
Pinkie Pie sighed sadly as she walked through her deceased friends home. She started to cry but she held back her tears as she didn't want to cry to much and just remembered Twilight. She sat there for the longest time and reminisced to the days where her and Twilight hung out together. She lost her composure and her mane burst and lost all its poofiness and then it became flat.
She sobbed as she now knew that it was a mistake going to Twilight's place as it was a painful reminder of Twilight. She continued to cry as she couldn't help it she tried to stay strong but she failed. Her tears flew freely from her eyes. She wiped the tears away from her eyes and looked through Twilight's old books. She read a bunch of them while they served as a reminder of Twilight.
Pinkie Pie smiled sadly through her tears but her smile faltered and she continued crying. She tried to think of happier times that she had with Twilight before she died but it just made her cry even more. She knew that it was probably a mistake going to the place hat served as a reminder of Twilight but she didn't care.
She wiped her tears away and walked home. When she got back home she took out a photo of her and Twilight together from her drawer and stared at it as it brought back good memories. She hugged it and put it away. She tried to calm herself down from all of the crying that she had done over her friend that day.
She took several deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down so that she could start her shift for Sugarcube Corner. She shook with tears but she quickly wiped them away as she was still emotional that moment. She knew that Twilight wouldn't want her crying. She knew that Twilight would want her to smile and be happy so that's what she was going to try and do for Twilight's sake.
When she calmed down she smiled as she knew that Twilight was enjoying the afterlife. That made her feel a bit better at least even though she just had a crying fit. She wiped her tears away and dried her face from the tear stains. She then went work on her shift. Once her shift was done she went to do something pleasant.
