Silent Learner

The rest of the afternoon went by fast. Spike spent almost two hours talking with Cadence for love and dating advice. Silent Learner had spent some more time with Shining Armor, who had coincidentally ordered Sunburst up to the dinning room. Sunburst had been amazed that Silent Learner was actually Twilight fused with a friend. She had promised Sunburst that she would send him copies if the papers she was writing on the fusion after she would defuse into Twilight and Fluttershy. Finally, dinner was there.

"Well, I don't want to intrude on you guys," Sunburst said. "So I'll go back to my house."

"Oh, you can stay," Shining Armor said.

"Thanks," Sunburst said. "You sure?" Shining Armor nodded.

"The food is going to be here soon anyway," he said. "Actually, I should probably go see what they're serving. I think Cadence might be down there." Silent Learner nodded. As Shining Armor got up and started walking, Sunburst turned to Silent Learner.

"So, is this spell legal?" Sunburst asked. Silent Learner nodded.

"Yeah, why?" she asked. "You want to use it, don't you?" Sunburst lightly blushed and nodded.

"Yeah," he said. "Could you send me the spell with the other information?"

"Sure," Silent Learner said. "Is it ok if I ask who you plan on merging with?"

"Either Thorax or Starlight," Sunburst said. Silent Learner raised her eyebrow.

"A different species or the opposite gender?" she asked. "That actually could be really insightful."

"Thanks," Sunburst said. "Actually, do you know if a three way fusion is possible?" Silent Learner frowned.

"I don't, actually," she said. "I've never thought of that possibility."

"Well, I guess I could do that," Sunburst said. "I might need some help, but I could do it."

"Ok," Silent Learner said. "That would actually be incredibly insightful! Thank you!" Silent Learner hugged Sunburst. When she let go, she could see that Sunburst had slight blush again. Then Shining Armor walked in with Cadence and Spike.

"Oh, hi Sunburst!" Cadence said. "So, you've heard of the fusion spell?" Starburst nodded.

"Yes, it is really interesting," he said. "By the way, is there a duration for this spell?"

"That's the interesting thing," Silent Learner said. "There is kind of a duration. The spell doesn't wear off, but the two ponies that were in the spell and were fused have 5 days before they start feeling intense internal pain." Shining Armor frowned.

"That sounds dangerous," he said. "Will you be able to defuse yourself when that happens?"

"I have contacted Princess Luna to meet us tomorrow just in case I can't," Silent Learner said. "And of course Twilight and Fluttershy will remember the pains that they feel, and fortunately, Twilight knows a little about medical and health stuff, and Fluttershy takes care of animals for a living, so it's probable that they will figure out what happens when the fused ponies reach that point." Shining Armor slowly nodded.

"You didn't understand that last part did you?" Cadence asked. Shining Armor shrugged.

"I understood part of it," he said. "Anyway, who's ready to eat?" As if on cue, the servants started entering with food.

After a dinner of chicken, salad, and meat for Spike, Sunburst and Silent Learner talked for a little longer, until Sunburst had to go.

"That was a lot of questions," Shining Armor said. "Is he going to do the fusion spell?"

"Yes," Silent Learner said. "The fusion he had in mind is going to be very interesting. You see, he's not only going to fuse with Thorax, but also with Starlight. And at the same time!"

"A three way fusion?" Shining Armor asked. "That's possible?" Silent Learner shrugged.

"I don't know," she said. "That's why he's doing it. Same with the different species and different gender parts."

"That will be interesting," Cadence said. "I've always thought that Sunburst and Starlight would look cute together, so who knows what they will find like that!"

"Thought?" Shining Armor asked. "Is there any actual love in between them?" Cadence nodded.

"Yes, both have feelings for the other," she said. Silent Learner cooed.

"That's so cute!" she said. "I hope they find out the other feels that way!" However, the moment was interrupted when Spike's head hit the table.

"I'm sorry," he said as he raised his head. "Sorry, but I need to go to sleep." Silent Learner looked out of the window at the moon.

"It is getting pretty late," she said. "I should probably turn in myself. Good night you two."
