As Frisk went to the palace to check out the commotion, the crowd was fighting back the guards at the entrance. The guards were strong, but they seem to be unable to take down the rebels due to a huge difference in numbers.

The mayor came over. ‘Frisk! You’re here to help, aren’t you?’ He asked.

‘Time to beat that stupid emperor to rest, but how are we going to possibly take him down in the end?’ Frisk replied.

‘While we were fighting the guards, we helped ourselves to their weapons after they got owned,’ The mayor told her. He handed her and Twilight some of the armor and the sword he picked up from defeating some of the guards.

‘Let’s get in there and deal with him!’ Twilight said confidently.

They got in through a different way behind the palace. All the guards were focused on attacking the rebels but paid no attention to the other sides. They went through one of the pitch-black hallways.

‘This place is dark, good thing you have a spell to light up the area a little bit.’ Frisk said to Twilight.

‘I practically have spells for all kinds of situations. I can even turn into a human when we face Gromiz.’ She replied.

But then, in the darkness, a figure appeared in front of their eyes. Frisk heard it’s breathing.

     ‘Who goes there?’ She yelled.

The figure revealed himself. It was the general!

‘I remember you. You’ve been busy, have you?’ He said.

Frisk sharpened her focus. ‘I have no time to deal with you, I am here to take Gromiz down.’ She said as she fetched out her sword.

‘Oh, but that’s too bad; You won’t defeat me.’ He replied. ‘Anyway, I have a question.’ He added as he reached for his back.

     ‘What now?’ Twilight muttered.

     The general isn’t actually a man…He is a flower.

Frisk gasped in shock. ‘Flowey? You are the new general!?’ She said in surprise.

‘Do you want to have a bad time?’ he said mischievously.

In a flash, Flowey lunged and tried to attack Frisk. He kicked her away and used some magic to grab the sword from one of the sets of armor in the hallway and swung it towards her. Twilight barely blocked his attack with her own sword. ‘What!?’ He cried.

‘What? You aren’t the only one in this world with magic…’ Twilight laughed.

Frisk got up and swung her sword on Flowey. He got flown quite far away.

‘You killed my parents, now I’ll avenge them by killing you!’ Frisk said angrily.

‘And how exactly are you going to that?’ Flowey replied. ‘Oh I’m going to ENJOY crushing you,’ he said evilly.

Their blades clashed, but Frisk fought it off. As Flowey tried to attack, Twilight shot him back in the face with a spell. They continued for a good 10 minutes on fighting in the hallway. In the end, as Frisk punched him in the air, she yelled, ‘Twilight! Do it now!’

Twilight charged an insane laser attack and left Flowey getting absolutely destroyed in the process. He is close to getting defeated, but not dead yet.

‘No, no please don’t kill me! Stop!’ Flowey cried in fear as Twilight got close.

Twilight was charging another attack. As she is ready to fire, Frisk told her in the background, smiling.

     ‘Let him go.’ She said.

‘What!? How could you say that?’ Twilight asked in surprise, holding back the magic she was using.

‘Step aside, I’ll finish this one off.’ Frisk told her, calmly. Twilight stepped back as she was told.

Flowey was seriously hurt, but not completely dying. ‘What…What are you doing?’ He asked.

‘I said it already, I’m letting you go.’

‘But why? I killed your father…I even kidnapped your mother just now! I became the general ever since Asgore died, I never knew you would become this powerful in a decade!’ He cried.

‘I trained myself for a long time, but it was just moments ago I realized it can only take me so far. I thought power was the most important thing in order to become the best, but I was wrong. If it weren’t for Twilight, who was the secret cure, this would have never happened. It was the power of friendship that brought out the magic and created the cure to recover everyone.’ She explained.

‘But…(breathing) I don’t understand…’ Flowey had tears in his eye.

‘Through this journey, I found that power wasn’t the way to go. The real and the best power in this world was actually friendship. I never knew that until I came on this journey and met her. If I didn’t, I’ll certainly won’t be here to teach you this lesson, and set you free.’ She tried to pat the poor flower.

‘I just don’t understand!’ Flowey cried. He ran away into the darkness, crying loudly as he went outside.

Frisk was curious to see him running off in defeat just because of what she said. She didn’t really feel any special, but she still thought she won this duel.

Twilight was clapping behind her. ‘Well done Frisk, I’m proud of what you just did.’ She said with a tear in her eye. ‘You truly discovered that this magic overpowers pretty much anything, and I know you are truly the chosen one.’

‘I still have one last person to defeat,’ Frisk told her, pointing to a huge door. It was the door to the throne room.

‘This is the place,’ She said.

‘Wow, is Gromiz stupid? Why would he put a full set of seemingly amazing armor right next to the door?’ Twilight chuckled, pointing at the armor.

‘Huh, I don’t know what that armor is, but it’s convenient.’ Frisk said. She put on the armor, and also took the shiny sword with her.

‘Come on Twilight, let’s go in and finish this.’ Frisk said courageously.

As she said that, Twilight was remembering the terrible death she had years ago. She smiled and told her:

     ‘I think you are ready.’

‘You’re leaving me alone to do this fight?’ Frisk said curiously.

She nodded. ‘I told you that you were capable of the magic of friendship, and you showed that you are. You are ready to use it to your advantage and take Gromiz down once and for all.’ She said, smiling.

Frisk was feeling a little sad. ‘Twilly…’ She said. She went over to hug her.

Twilight giggled. ‘I like that nickname, buddy. But you must go in there alone. I don’t want to lose to him again.’ She said, embarrassed.

‘Okay…You go with the crowd, and if I don’t make it, just remember I helped you guys. It might be a case of me sacrificing.’ Frisk said as she let go of her friend.

‘I won’t forget you,’ Twilight cried. She turned back into the hallway. ‘Now get in there and save the country!’ She told Frisk as she ran back out of the Palace.

Frisk turned to the door. ‘This is it,’ She thought, breathing heavily. She touched the handles on the door. ‘Gromiz, you brought this on yourself. Prepare to die on my hands.’

As she opened the door, a huge vein of light shone through the hallway…
