//-------------------------------------------------------// These demons of ours -by Parodox- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: First day on the job //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: First day on the job The tall, golden strands of wheat swayed gently in the morning breeze. It was only the plants closest to the train tracks that were pushed down by the speeding train's force. Smoke fumed from the steam engine's chimney, as black rocks of coal were shoveled into the bright orange and yellow flames of the train's heart. As the train flew down the tracks at unbelievable speeds, it had in tow several cars. In one such car was a family of three siblings. Flash Sentry, the oldest of the siblings, was 19 years old. He had spiky blue hair that was pointed backwards, sharp deep blue eyes that matched the color of his hair, and orange-yellow skin. He wore a black coat over an exposed white t-shirt and he also wore blue jeans. Across from him was his younger sister Fluttershy, who was 18 years old. She had silky smooth pink hair that didn't have a single strand out of place, she had teal eyes which sparkled with kindness and compassion, and her skin was pale yellow. She wore a baby blue dress that had a skirt which draped slightly past her knees. Next to her was the youngest sister, Scootaloo. A girl who was 14 years old, had short purple hair, matching eyes, and deep orange skin. She wore a dress similar to Fluttershy's. The two sisters sat in the chair across from Flash, Scootaloo's head resting on Fluttershy's shoulder, and Fluttershy's head resting on Scootaloo's as they both slept quietly. Flash couldn't help but give a slight grin at how adorable his sisters looked while resting. His expression became sad as his gaze drifted out the window. The year was 1920, a time of bootlegging, murder, corruption, and evil. The world was beginning to tear itself apart as everyone struggled to earn money to buy food, and the siblings were now apart of that world. Their family wasn't rich, but they were a close second. They had everything they could've ever wanted, and it all burned away in a day. Their home, parents, and the lives they had all burned to ashes that day. Literally. The family's dad had left a note stating that if he were to pass away that the family could find refuge belonging to the daughter of his close friend, Twilight Sparkle. The siblings didn't have much of a choice, with the funds they had left they boarded a train bound for the city of Ponyville. A city that was rumored to be the most dangerous place in all of Equestria. But as I said before, what choice did they have? Fluttershy stirred in her sleep, her eyes slowly fluttering open. She raised her body and stretched out her arms. She smacked her lips and pushed back the loose strands of hair in front of her. "Morning sleepy head." Flash joked. "Sleep well?" "Like a baby." Scootaloo answered, rubbing her left eye and yawning. "Are we there yet?" She asked with impatience. "We're close Sis." Flash answered, patting his little sister on the head. "Who's this woman we're meeting again?" Fluttershy asked. "Her name is Twilight Sparkle, she runs a business in Ponyville and her dad is a close friend of our dad. She'll let us stay with her if we agree to help out." Flash answered. "Where does she live-er, work I mean." Fluttershy asked, correcting herself at the last minute. "She lives at someplace called 'Golden Oaks'." Flash answered. "Once we-" *SSSSSKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCH!* The siblings lurched forward as the train came to a high pitched stop. "All disembark for Ponyville!" The conductor shouted. People got up from their seats and grabbed their luggage from the shelves above where they sat. Flash and Fluttershy grabbed their luggage as well as Scootaloo's since she couldn't reach it. The family disembarked from the train and walked onto the stone platform, where they could see nearly the entire city. Houses of wood, stone, and brick could be seen throughout the entire city. People walking along the sidewalk with their faces expressing anger and frustration. Automobiles drove down the roads in an organized fashion, driving in their correct lane and stopping when needed. "So...any idea where this place is?" Scootaloo asked her older brother. "I have the address, but we'll ask around if we get lost." Flash answered. "I hope it doesn't come to that." Fluttershy squeaked, gripping Scootaloo's hand tighter. "Stay close Scootaloo." She warned as they walked off the platform and into the city. The siblings walked along the sidewalk, keeping their heads low to avoid any eye contact with people that passed by. They walked for half an hour, looking at the local maps to get a good idea as to where they were. On there way down a sidewalk they passed a dark narrow alley between two tall brick buildings. As the three siblings passed the alley they heard a loud noise. *CRASH!* Fluttershy gasped at the sound behind them. "I-I-I'm sorry alright! I'll get your money, I swear!" The frantic cry's of a terrified man could be heard from the alley. "Wait...what are you-...oh no, no please don't! I can get it back I swear! I swear I can-HRK!" The cry's became silent along with a loud thud. Fluttershy took a step forward, towards the alleyway but a step was as far as she got as her arm was tugged back by Flash. She looked to her brother with pleading eyes that begged him to go and help the poor man. But Flash only shook his head disapprovingly. "I can't afford to let any of us get hurt." He said in a hushed voice. "I know you want to help, but we can't. I'm sorry." Fluttershy didn't resist as her brother pulled her back and they continued down the walk. Still keeping their heads low until, "You three, stop right there." Five words and a voice that held the power of authority was all that was needed to make the siblings come to a complete stop. Their eyes glued to the concrete ground of the sidewalk, beads of sweat forming on their faces. "Turn around." The voice belonging to a woman ordered. The three were hesitant at first, but in the end they turned around and met the woman behind the authoritative tone in her voice. A woman, with pale orange skin, light blue eyes, and long hair that was red with parts of it yellow like a burning flame. She wore a black trench coat that covered her entire body but left her tall black leather high heel boots exposed. Also her breasts popped out from under the coat, and she wore a crimson red fedora with a white strap around its base. Behind her were two boys that appeared to be two years older than Scootaloo. The one on the woman's left was short and fat with dark green skin and orange hair that had clearly never seen a comb before in its life. The one on the women's right was tall and skinny with dark yellow skin and had dark green hair that was in the shape of a bowl cut. They both wore black suits, dress pants, and dress shoes while the boy on the left had a dark orange tie and the boy on the right had a dark green tie. They both wore sunglasses and black hats that covered only the top of their heads. The siblings remained frozen as the woman approached them. She stood right in front of them and inspected them top to bottom, frowning while inspecting Fluttershy. Once she was done, she stood upright, crossed her arms, and said, "You're new here aren't you?" The woman asked. "... Yes ma'am." Flash hesitantly answered. " 'ma'am'?" The woman repeated, the word rolling off her tongue. "I like that, you know your manners well mr..." She trailed off, waiting for Flash to finish for her. "Flash, ma'am." Flash finished before adding, "Flash Sentry...ma'am." "Well, 'Flash Sentry', what brings you and your...sisters, is it?" The woman asked, Fluttershy and Scootaloo nodded softly. "I see, well then, could you divulge me in what brings you and your sisters to our lovely town?" "We're here for work." Scootaloo blurted, Fluttershy covered her mouth and let out a nervous giggle. The woman looked at Flash for confirmation and he silently nodded. Which caused the woman to grow a sly and evil smile. "Well if it's work your looking for I'd be happy to hire the three of you." The woman said. "I run a shop just a bit away from here. If you're interested I'd be more than-" "Thank you for the offer ma'am." Flash said, cutting the woman off. "But my sisters and I have it covered. Thank you for your generosity though." The two boys advanced a step forward, but were stopped by the extended hand of the woman. "I see, well I wish you the best of luck at this job of yours." The woman said, turning around and walking away from the siblings. "But just in case the application goes south, just know that my door will still be opened." "Thank you for the offer ma'am." Flash thanked. "Call me by my name Flash Sentry." The woman said, "and my name, is Sunset Shimmer." "Well, thank you for the offer, 'Miss Sunset Shimmer'." Flash thanked again. Scootaloo removed Fluttershy's Hand from her mouth and asked, "Excuse me Miss, we're kinda lost. Could you point us in the direction of 18857 Apple Grove?" Sunset looked down at the child and answered, "I'm not aquatinted with the home of the address but I do know where Apple Grove is. Simply go straight for 2 miles, take a left at Carousel Boutique, and the Grove should be on your right." "Thank you ma'am." Scootaloo thanked with a warm and kind smile that rivaled her older sisters as she and her siblings walked away. Once they were out of earshot, the left boy stood next to Sunset and asked, "do you want us to follow them, Lady Sunset?" "No, they're the kind of people to keep their heads low and quiet. I could see it in their faces." Sunset said before walking off in the opposite direction the three siblings. "Come Snips and Snails, I need to take a shower." She said pulling apart the hair stuck together by blood. "Not only did that asshole's blood ruin my clothes, and I had to put on this ugly coat because of it, but some of his blood got in my hair!" She whined. "Would you like my handkerchief, my Lady?" The boy on the right, Snails, asked, pulling out a white cloth from his coat pocket with some red stains which it received from cleaning the blood off Sunset's face. "I said I wanted a shower! Not your dirty snot rag!" Sunset yelled as they walked away. "Ow!" Scootaloo hissed, rubbing the red mark on her cheek which she received from Flash's flick. "What was that for?!" She demanded from her brother. "That was for talking to that woman, she's dangerous and I don't want you talking to her." Flash stated. "Flash is right Scoot's." Fluttershy's angelic voice entered the conversation. "That woman...she's evil." "Whaaaat?" Scootaloo scoffed. "You're just being paranoid Sis, there's no way somebody like her is evil." "You didn't see the blood on her boots, did you?" Flash asked. "Blood...on her boots?" Scootaloo asked in disbelief. Flash knelt down to Scootaloo's eye level and placed his hands on Scootaloo's shoulders. "I know you're young and you fully understand yet, so you're just gonna have to trust me when I say 'stay away from that woman'. Do you understand?" Scootaloo nodded slowly. "Good, now lets find this place." Flash said, standing back up and the three continued searching. Sunset's directions were true to the very detail, they walked straight for 2 miles, took a left at the building called 'Carousel Boutique', and after a while they found the area labeled Apple Grove. The place was filled with tall brick buildings with chimneys fuming out smoke. Each building was labeled with a set of numbers that defined its address. After a bit of walking the siblings came across a four story brick building with a bolted metal door as its entrance. Beside the door was the numbers 1,8,8,5,7 diagonally placed next to the door. "This must be the place." Flash assumed, walking up the steps he could hear the faint sound of what he assumed was music. He reached towards the door and knocked on it three times. There was a moment of silence until a slider on the door opened, revealing a pair of violet eyes. "Who are you?" The voice, which belonged to a woman, asked from the other side. "My name is Flash Sentry, these are my sisters Fluttershy and Scootaloo," Flash gestured to the two girls behind him, "and we're here for work. We'd like to speak to Twilight Sparkle-" "I'm gonna half to stop you right there." The woman from behind the door cut Flash off. "We're not interested in hiring anyone. So piss of-OW!" The violet eyes shut tight and were removed from the door as several clicks and thinks could be heard from the door. Once the sounds stopped, the door swung open revealing a woman with tan skin, green eyes, white freckles across her nose and under the bags of her eyes, and she had her blonde hair tied in a ponytail underneath her brown cowgirl hat. She wore a pair of jeans, a white and blue shirt, and a pair of brown cowgirl boots. The woman with violet eyes had cyan blue skin, and rainbow hair. She wore a french maid outfit and headband and had a circular dish under her arm between her body and arm. "Ow, ow, ow!" The rainbow haired woman shouted as the cowgirl pulled on her ear. "Cut it out AJ, that fricken hurts!" The woman known as AJ released the rainbow haired woman from her grip, which caused her to drop to the floor. The cowgirl walked up to the three siblings and introduced herself. "Howdy y'all, name's Applejack, but folks call me AJ. What might your name's be?" The cowgirl asked, extending her hand for a handshake. "My name's Flash Sentry, these are my sister's Fluttershy and Scootaloo." Flash said, gesturing to the girls behind him once more before directing his attention back at AJ. "We would like to speak with Twilight Sparkle about a job. Her dad and ours were close friends and we were hoping if we could maybe work here." "Well a'll be, y'all must be Warden's kids ain'tcha?" AJ asked and the siblings nodded. "Well why didn't ya say so, come with me and I'll take ya to Twi." The cowgirl said as the family followed the cowgirl into the building. The inside was huge, with 5/6 of the floor lower than the rest. At the bottom part were rows of circular tables with white sheets covering them with a candle at the center. The room was sensually lit with deep purple lights that covered the entire room. At the right of room was a wooden oak bar with shelves stacked with bottles of various colors despite the purple glow that engulfed everything. Opposite to the bar was a catwalk with the entire back wall covered by a red curtain and a steel pole at the end of the walk that was connected by the ceiling and floor. The men sitting at some of the tables were cheering and whooping at the woman dancing at the pole. Applejack led the family to the end of the room where the stairs leading up were. The four walked up the stairs onto the second floor which was comprised of multiple small rooms where loud shrieks, moans, and grunts could be heard from behind the tall piece's of wood. "Oh...my." Fluttershy's entire face turned a deep shade of red from embarrassment at the sounds. Sensing their uncomfortableness, AJ quickly rushed out of the second floor and onto the third. The third and second floor were almost exactly the same, a hallway lined with several wooden doors each with their own unique symbol on them. And there wasn't any...explicit noises coming from them. AJ led the three to the very end of the hall where the white door with the symbol of a six pointed star and the words "Twilight Sparkle's Office" inscribed on them. AJ knocked on the door and asked, "Hey Twi, ya busy? Cause if ya aren't, there's three people here wondering if they can have a job here. Their Warden's kids, ya know, yer fathers best friend." AJ said. There was a moment of silence until a voice from inside answered. "Send 'em in." The voice slurred. AJ cringed, inhaling sharply. "Oh dear, she doesn't sound too sober. I best accompany y'all in case things get...weird." AJ said, turning the knob and opening the door. The room was a lot larger than the others, the floor was made of polished oak wood with a carpet that covered a major part of the room while leaving the edges untouched. There were two tall windows at the end of room with the curtains drawn. There were several metal drawers, some were still open revealing the folders inside. At the end of the room was the oak wood desk with a lamp that sat at the far left corner of the desk that's light would've covered everything on the desk. There were some sheets of paper laid out with pencils and pens on top of them. Behind the desk, sitting in the black leather chair, was a woman with lavender skin, purple eyes, and dark purple hair that had a light purple and pink stripe in it. Her head swayed slightly and her eyes were half opened as she held an empty glass in left hand and a half empty bottle of bubbling golden brown liquid. "What can I...(hic)...do for you?" The woman asked, pointing at the three blurs in front of her. AJ approached the drunken woman and took the bottle from her right hand. "These folks are Warden's kids, and their lookin' fer a job here." AJ explained. "Warden?" Twilight blinked dumbly at AJ. "Should I...(hic)...know the guy?" "He was your father's best friend." AJ stated, but Twilight only shook her head. "He was the guy that always said 'groovy'." "Oooooooh, that Warden." Twilight said, realizing who AJ was talking about. "Yeah, that guy was a big dork. So you're his kids huh? And you want to work here?" The three siblings answer was a unified nod. "Well I don't see why the hell not!" Twilight exclaimed, pumping her fists into the air and giggling uncontrollably. "It shouldn't be too...(hic)...hard. Spiky here can be a bar tender, Shorty can be a waiter like Dash and...(hic)...Pinkie, and you..." Twilight paused, easily sliding her chair back she walked around her desk and approached Fluttershy. She held her chin as she observed the girl top to bottom. "Well...(hic)... I'm gonna have to think about what you're going to do. But for...(hic)...now, AJ will show you to your rooms." Twilight said, walking towards AJ she reached for the bottle AJ held, but she kept it out of reach. "Come on." Twilight whined. "I did a good thing, now give me back my cider." "No way Twi." AJ said, pushing Twilight aside she walked towards the door. The siblings did the same. "It's to early to get drunk Twi. Ya need ta sober up now." AJ said, slamming the door shut behind her. She let out a sigh of relief before turning to the siblings with the warm smile she originally had. "Follow me, I'll show y'all to yer rooms." AJ said, walking up the stairs that were next to Twilight's office. "So...we work here now...right?" Scootaloo asked hesitantly. "Ya sure do, welcome to the Goldem Oaks Bar. Pleasure to have y'all with us." AJ said, walking down the hallway on the fourth floor. "There are four floors, the first is the main floor and is home to the bar and the restaurant. The second floor is...well...I'm not too sure you're ready to know about that one just yet. As for the third and fourth floor, those are the personal rooms of our staff." "Wait, we live here?!" Scootaloo asked in amazement. "Eat, sleep, shower, hell this place might as well be your new home, and ya can think of us as one big happy family." AJ said before stopping. "Now then, you two girl's will stay in this room." AJ gestured to the open door room with two beds, an open window with the curtains dancing by the wind, and two dressers for storing clothes. "Flash, you'll be bunking with one of our security. His name's Bulk Biceps." AJ said, opening the door to the room across from Fluttershy's and Scootaloo's. inside, sitting at the end of his bed, was a large, bulky, man with red eyes, short blonde hair, and had white skin. He wore a pair of jeans and a sleeveless white shirt. His eyes narrowed as his "bunk mate" entered the room. "H-hi." Flash nervously greeted. "My name's Flash Sentry, it's a pleasure to be your roommate." The terrifyingly large man stood up from his bed, his body towered over Flash's and it blocked the sun's rays that entered through the window, leaving his appearance to be a silhouette leaving only his eyes to be visible. Flash looked terrified as Bulk's red eyes glared down at him. His arms swung around Flash's body and pulled it tightly against his. "Nice ta meet ya Flash, you can call me Biceps. YEEEEAAAAH!" Bulk Bicep's roared, pumping his fists into the air and releasing Flash from the death hug. "This is totally awesome!" Biceps jumped up and down, giddily clapping. "I've always wanted a roommate, make yourself home. The left bed is mine, but you can have it if you want and I'll just move to the right." "Uh...I'll just take the right bed." Flash said, setting his luggage on his new bed he began to unload it. "Whatcha got there?" Biceps curiously asked as sat down on Flash's bed, making it squeak loudly. "Just the essentials, clothes, toothbrush, razor, mouthwash, etc. That kinda stuff." Flash answered. "Oh, alright then." Biceps said, rubbing his chin as he pondered. "So you're new here right?" He asked. "What gave it away?" Flash sarcastically asked. "Well I just wanted to know, what did the boss hire you and your sisters for? He asked. "She hired me as a bar tender and my sister Scootaloo as a waiter. But she hasn't decided what she wants my older sister, Fluttershy, to do." Flash answered. "Fluttershy's the woman with the pink hair and the big cherries right?" Biceps asked. "Yes, and what do you mean by 'cherries'?" Flash asked with a raised eyebrow and his arms crossed. "Cherries, her boobs." Biceps answered. Flash's face became flushed with embarrassment and anger. "You can't talk to me about my sister's...you-know-what's-GAH!" Flash yelled as a pair of clothes was thrown at him and landed on his face. "Get dressed Newbie, folks are gonna start gettin' restless without their cider. So ya best hurry up." AJ said leaning against the side of the doorway before leaving and walking downstairs. Flash got dressed quickly into what AJ had given him. He wore a pair of black leather shoes, black dress pants, whatever a bartender wears as a shirt, with a blue tie. Flash rushed downstairs to the first floor where AJ was cleaning out an glass with a wash rag behind the bar. Flash lifted up the plank of wood that was used as a door for the bar, dropping it down behind him. "Alright newbie," AJ slammed down the glass she was cleaning, "before I teach ya how ta be a bartender, I want ya ta drink this." She said, holding up a bottle of the liquid that Twilight had been drinking. She removed the cap from the bottle and poured its contents into the empty glass. "Think fast." She said, sliding the drink down the bar table. The glass slid off the table but it didn't break because it was caught by Flash before it could hit the floor and shatter. But unfortunately, Flash couldn't prevent half of the drink to spill onto the floor. He chuckled nervously as he brought the glass to his lips and took a swig of the liquid. He swished the liquid around in his mouth for a second or two, getting a good idea of what he was drinking before swallowing with an audible gulp. "Well, what's it taste like?" AJ asked. Flash laid the glass on the table, knowing full well what the liquid was after drinking it. There was no mistake, you can't mistake that kind of drink for anything else. "It's cider. Apple cider with alcohol, to be exact." Said Flash. "A drink that's illegal. You're selling these people a drink that's been outlawed in all of Equestria." Flash exclaimed. "I'm aware." AJ said, pouring herself a glass of cider and taking a swig of it herself, letting out a refreshed sigh once she was done. "I just wanted to make sure you were aware of it before we started. Ya got a problem with selling illegal drinks boy?" "No ma'am, I don't have a problem with it. It's just," he paused, directing his gaze towards the people sitting at the tables. "I'm worried that one of them will go to the cops." "Ya don't need to worry about the cops boy." AJ said, placing a hand on Flash's shoulder. "Despite how dumb and one track minded these guys are, they're not dumb enough to sell out the only place that gives them what they want." AJ stated. "So now that we've got that covered, I'm gonna teach ya how to tend this here bar. The first thing ya don't want to do is-" "Hey, bartender!" AJ was cut off by a man with a grey and gloomy aura surrounding him, who was sitting at the stool on the very far end of the bar table. "What's a guy gotta do to get a drink around here?" The man asked. "I guess I'll just have ta tell ya later." AJ said, removing her hand from Flash's shoulder and picking up a glass with it. "Just stay here and don't touch anything" She said very seriously before walking towards the man who was demanding a drink. Flash leaned against the back of the bar and just observed as AJ made the man a drink, pulling various bottles from the shelf. "Excuse me?" Flash was ripped from his thoughts by the deep voice of a man with charcoal grey skin, red eyes like Biceps, and black spiky hair that was pointed backwards. He wore a collared black suit with a grey undershirt visible at the to of his chest, he wore a red tie that matched his eyes, dress pants that matched his suit, and leather shoes that looked to be worth more money than Flash could believe. "You work here, yes?" The man asked, taking a seat in the stool in front of Flash, who's response was a firm nod. "Splendid." Said the man as he rested his elbows on the table and rested his chin on his folded knuckles. "By any chance do you know how to make a 'Cactus Apple Surprise'?" The man asked. "Um..." Flash's eyes would look to AJ as he silently pleaded for her help. But his pleas fell on deaf ears as she was too busy helping with other customers. "......no." Flash answered hesitantly. The man sighed, "I should've figured as much, it's not your fault of course." Flash let out a sigh of relief to hearing that. "The drink isn't very popular, mind you, so it's understandable that you don't know how to make it. But it is my favorite drink so I'm inclined to ask if you'd allow me to show you how?" Once more Flash looked to AJ for help but she was still too busy. Deciding to ignore AJ's orders when she said not to touch anything, Flash agreed to let the man teach him how to make his favorite drink. "Splendid." The man said, clapping his hands together in satisfaction. "We'll start with the easy step, pull out two glasses." Flash did as he was instructed and pulled two glasses from under the table and sat them on the counter. "Now I shall list off the ingredients needed. You'll need tequila, some triple sec, apple brandy, some prickly pear syrup, some lemonade, a lime, some chili powder and coarse sugar for the rim." The man listed off. And much to Flash's surprise, everything the man listed off was on the shelf behind him. Including the chili powder but sadly not the prickly pear syrup, so the man told him to replace it with just raspberry syrup instead. With all the ingredients laid out, the man then listed off the steps to making the drink. "The first think you'll do is cut the lime into eighths, then you'll take one of those slices and run it around both of the glasses rim. Once you've done that, combine a pinch of the chili powder and 2 tablespoons of sugar together and then sprinkle them on the rim. You'll have to do the same for the other cup." The man explained and Flash did as the man ordered. "Add ice to both glasses and set them aside." The man ordered and Flash did as he was told. "In the second step you'll need a shaker. You do have one right?" The man asked, raising an eyebrow. "Of course I do." Flash answered, reaching underneath the counter he pulled out a steel drink shaker. "Ah good, in that case pour all of the ingredients except for the lemonade into the shaker. Put in 2 ounces of tequila, 1 ounce of triple sec, 1/2 ounce of the apple brandy, and 2 ounces of the raspberry syrup into the shaker and give it a good shake." The man ordered. Once Flash had poured all the ingredients into the shaker he held the bottom and top of the shaker between his hands and shook it like there was no tomorrow. He shook and shook until the man said that was enough. With the ingredients all mixed he undid the cap on the shaker in his right hand and picked up the lemonade with his right. With both liquids in hand he poured both into the first glass and then the second. The end result of his work were two glasses filled with a deep pink liquid that had pieces of ice floating at the top, the rim coated with small pieces of sugar and a slice of lime on the rim as the finishing touch. The man took hold of the first glass, brought it to his lips, and took a sip of the pink liquid. Flash watched in fear and anticipation at what the man thought of the first drink he had made. The man removed the glass from his lips and paused as he slowly processed the taste in his mouth. "It's different, but that's most likely because you replaced the prickly pear syrup for raspberry syrup instead." The man said, taking another sip. "But all together, this was a very delicious drink that we made. Good job." Flash let out a sigh of relief before he took notice to the other drink he had made. "S'cuse me, I don't mean to pry, but who is this other glass for?" Flash asked. "It's for you." The man answered. "The original recipe makes two glasses, so I thought I might as well let you have one as well." The man said, taking another swig of his drink. "Go on, have a taste it won't harm ya. Well, not if you drink to much of it that is." The man chuckled at his own quip. Flash grabbed the second drink and brought it to his nose where he took a good whiff of it. It smelled mostly fruity, with a slight hint of alcohol to it, along with the burning sensation he received from inhaling specs of the chili powder. Flash shrugged and thought "Might as well." As he drank the drink he prepared. It tasted as it smelled, fruity with a hint of alcohol to it, and a slight burn from the chili. But it was good, there was denying that fact. "Good right?" The man asked. "Best thing I've had in a long time." Was Flash's answer. "Amen to that." The man said as both he and Flash clicked their glasses together and took another sip. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, mostly just men, it's time for our newest performer." A voice from the stage spoke through the microphone. "Now then, please understand that this girl is a little bit shy. So let's give her the attention she deserves." The sounds of whooping and cheering were increased as the woman walked down the catwalk. The man turned around in his chair to get a look at this beauty the men were all excited at, while Flash wasn't all to interested. "Wow...look at that woman." The man exclaimed in disbelief. "She's...gorgeous." The man paused for a second, thinking of the correct name to describe what he was seeing. "Those legs, those curves, those eyes, that outfit. All of it is simply astonishing. Her legs look so smooth and soft like a newborn baby's, her hourglass figure is perfect, not to thin but also not to thick, those innocent teal eyes could melt the heart of any many they see, and that pink silky hair is absolutely-" "Did you say...pink...hair..." Flash's jaw dropped and his eyes became wide as dinner plates as he saw the woman everyone was hollering about. The man looked at Flash with a curious look and asked, "your expression seems to be one of shock, not awe. Tell me, that woman on the stage, is she your friend or something?" "That's not my friend, that's my SISTER!" Author's Note And here's chapter 1, I hoped you enjoyed reading and I look forward to writing more of this story. Also, the drink Flash made for the man is real. Look up the recipe and give it a try, you might like it. That's all for now
