The kill

Chapter 1 of "LBTB"

I am sleeping the cave with the other changelings, like usual.

Suddenly My sister wakes me up.

"follow me and mouth shut."  she said while wispering

I always listens to my sister, i know i had to listen to older members.

She takes me to a place in the forest...

Suddenly she whispers "stay low and behind my tail."

Suddenly we hear singing... "there it is, your first kill"

I whispered loudly "kill?" "yes, jump out and bite it in the neck."

I started slightly crying "i don't want to."

"you have to because if you don't i will make sure you wished you did so you do what i say and i say and jump!"

she wispered loudly in my ear.

Out of pure reflexes i jump out of the bush.

The pony got overwelmed and fell on its back.

Cornered against a tree it screamed. "please take what you want but let me go."

I started to slowly back off of guilt.

As soon as it tries to run my sister jumps out of the bush and tackles it.

With a angry face she drags the pony over and lays it in front of me.

My sister screamed "kill it!"

I started crying and backed off.

She took its neck in her mouth.

Screaming in pure terror the pony starts to wrestle with itself.

Then she bit its neck right open.

She ripped it all the way to the belly.

a few seconds later the screaming stopped.

Blood was visible everywhere.

We both were covered in blood.

"you had it! completely cornered! what is wrong with you!

and that useless crying, and you used to be family with me, how disappointing."

I said with tears flowing down my face "I just don't like to kill, i-."

She cuts me off saying in a mocking voice "I don't like to kill pony's,

you only need to kill to protect yourself, blah blah blaaaah!"

She screamed "you're useless, how dare you to call yourself a drone,

childcare is a better rank for you!

if i were queen i would've banished you until you caught something and ripped it open right in front of my own eyes!"

I started crying... She puts her hoof around my neck and said "better luck next time, just don't fail me again ok."

And she smiled at me. Despite my failure she keeps trying every time.

And even tho i never hurt anyone i still felt the guilt because of the blood i had on me, and the memory that is now casted into my brain.

I thought about what the poor creature would've done next if we weren't there,

if it had a family, if it had children to care of.

All those thoughts made me feel ill and i couldn't sleep for the night.
