Fluttershy scratched her cornea
“Fluttershy I’m so thankful that you can pet-sit Opal for me while I get this project done for Fancy Pants! ” Rarity said as she handed Opal’s cage to Fluttershy.
“Oh, it’s my pleasure Rarity! I wouldn’t want you to not be able to finish your project to tend to Opal.”
“I must warn you Fluttershy, Opal has been very cranky recently so try to avoid making her mad.”
“I think I can handle it Rarity. You have fun working Rarity!”
“Thanks, darling! See you in a few hours!”
Fluttershy shut the door and opened the door to Opal’s cage and almost immediately, the cat darted out and laid on Fluttershy’s loveseat.
“Do you want some lunch Opal?” Fluttershy said.
Opal responded with a nod. Fluttershy flew over to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of cat food along with a salad for herself. Fluttershy put the cat food in the bowl and filled a bowl with water for Opal to drink. Fluttershy flew over to Opal, all the food balancing on her head and upper back. Fluttershy set the bowl down on the ground and looked up at the cat.
“Are you ready to eat Opal?” Fluttershy asked.
Opal responded by knocking the bowl over and scattering the cat food everywhere and gave a loud hiss causing Fluttershy to look at Opal with a stern look on her face.
“Don’t give me that kind of attitude missy!” Fluttershy said.
Opal responded by raising her paw up, claws pushing out and scratched Fluttershy’s face going across her eye. Fluttershy yelped in pain and fell backward, her salad crashed to the ground causing lettuce to go everywhere. Immediately Fluttershy put a hoof up to her eye to cover it, blood seeping down her face.
Almost immediately Fluttershy got back up from the ground and flew upstairs to the bathroom, crashing into several objects on the way there. After reaching the bathroom Fluttershy looked at herself in the mirror. What she saw made her gasp. Two long scratches were at the top and bottom of her eye and one big scratch went across her eye, blood continued to seep through the wound, along with tears streaming down her face.
“There you are Fluttershy!” a voice said from behind her.
Fluttershy had completely forgotten about the tea time with Twilight was today. Slowly, Fluttershy turned around to reveal her scratched eye causing Twilight to gasp.
“OH SWEET CELESTIA WHAT THE HAY HAPPENED TO YOU?!”
“I-it’s really nothing Twilight, it’s just a small scratch,” Fluttershy said while covering her eye.
“A small scratch?! Fluttershy are you nuts?! We need to get that checked out! Your cornea could be badly damaged!” Twilight said with a look of concern on her face.
“Oh, Twilight I think it’ll be fine. I’m sure it’ll heal in an hour or two.”
“Fluttershy I’m giving you two options, one is that I will drag you to the Optometrist to get that eye checked out against your will, or two you willingly go to the Optometrist and get that eye checked out.”
Fluttershy sat down on the wall of the tub and began to think. She was in enough pain already and she didn't feel like being dragged to the Optometrist.
“O-Ok Twilight I-I’ll go willingly,” Fluttershy said, standing up. “There is one problem though.”
“What problem is that?” Twilight asked, cocking her head to the side.
“Well in order for me to go to the Optometrist I would need to drive right?”
“Of course!” Twilight said.
“Well due to my injury, I am incapable of driving or flying there. Do you think that you can give me a ride?”
“Of course Fluttershy! What kind of friend would I if I didn’t?”
“Thank you so much Twilight! What do you think I should do to protect my eye?”
Twilight nods her head and takes out a book for injuries and how to treat them. After she flips a few pages over, Twilight reads one of the pages out loud.
“Ok according to the book, a pony is to wet a washcloth and put a little pressure to ease the pain. Do you have a washcloth?”
“Yeah, they’re in the closet third door to the left.”
Twilight rushed to the closet and opened the door to reveal fifteen different types of washcloths in the closet.
Twilight groaned and took a blue washcloth and brought it over to the restroom. She then wet the washcloth and put the cloth on Fluttershy’s eye causing her to whimper.
“So are you ready to go?”
“Yeah.”
Twilight puts Fluttershy on her back and took her to her car, started the engine, and drove off to the Optometrist.

Twilight carried Fluttershy into the office and was almost immediately greeted by Nurse Redheart.
“Hello girls! What can I do for you?”
“Hello Ms.Redheart, my friend had an accident while babysitting my friend’s cat and I fear serious damage may have been done to her eye. Do you think you can check to make sure nothing serious happened?”
“Of course I will! Come with me, I’ll lead you to a room.” Nurse Redheart said as she got up from her desk and began to walk down a hallway.
After a minute of walking, Nurse Redheart finally stopped and opened a door.
“Just go in here and the doctor will be in in a minute.” Nurse Redheart said, closing the door.
Just as Redheart closed the door, the door immediately opened up to reveal the Optometrist
standing there.
“Dr.Hooves!” Twilight said, standing up.
“Hello, Twilight! It seems to me that your friend Fluttershy had a certain accident with a cat. Right Fluttershy?”
“How did you know that?”
“Nurse Redheart had informed me of your injury. I can see why now let’s check that eye out! Please put your chin on this bar please.” Dr. Hooves said as he takes out machine with a scope at the end of it. “This machine will let me see how much damage was done to your eye, so it is very important if you hold still so that results won’t be messed up, ok?”
“Ok,” Fluttershy said as she placed her head on the bar and waited patiently with her eyes wide open.
Dr. Hooves pointed the light around and looked through the scope. And after a minute of looking through the scope, he looked up at Twilight.
“You did the right thing by bringing her here Twilight, a massive chunk of her cornea has been taken off.”
Both Twilight and Fluttershy gasped at this and looked at the doctor.
“O-Oh no. That doesn’t sound good. What will I have to do?”
“I will have to give you a lense for your cornea.”
“Why?”
“Because when you blink, your eyelid scratches along your already scratched cornea causing excruciating pain to your eye. Now please lean your head back Fluttershy.”
“Ok doc.,” fluttershy said as she leaned her head back, waiting for the doctor to put the lens in.
The doctor slowly and carefully took the lense out of its case and walked over to Fluttershy.
“Now I need you to keep your eye open all the way so I could put the lense in please.”
Fluttershy widened her eye as the doctor carefully put the lense in.
“Ok, now I need you to blink.”
Fluttershy blinked a few times before keeping her eye opened, something that she hasn't been able to do in a long time.
“Ok now I’m going to give you an eyedrop that will help heal your eye quicker, and considering that your friend is a unicorn, do you think your friend will help you put the drops in?”
“Of course she will!”
“Good! Well, I guess then I’m all done here, Put the drops in 5 times a day and don’t do anything stressful to your body Fluttershy.”
“Will do doc!” Twilight said as she carried Fluttershy out.
