The mystery of the missing scooter
"Hurry up Apple Bloom! The sooner we get to Sweetie's the sooner we can start crusading!" Scootaloo called to the earth pony behind her.
"Ah'm going as fast as Ah can! Ah'm not as fast as that stupid scooter of your's!" Apple Bloom yelled back.
Scootaloo stopped suddenly, "What did you say about Rainbow Fast?" She glared at her friend.
"Rainbow Fast?" Apple Bloom snorted, "Is that supposed to be like Rainbow Dash?"
"Hey its better then Mr. Apple." Scootaloo shot back, referring to a doll Apple Bloom had.
"Leave Mr. Apple out of this! Ah suppose you wouldn't mind me telling Rainbow bout' this would ya?" Apple Bloom said.
"Dont. You. Dare." Scootaloo said and was about to say more before being interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Hi girls!" Sweetie Belle called to them, stepping out of the Boutique, "Ready to get our cutie marks?"
"Totally!" Scootaloo replied, "But I may not want to if some ponies dont keep their mouth shut."
"What's that, what did ya say? Ah'm sorry Ah dont speak chicken." Apple Bloom said as a small grin appeared on her face.
As the two started to argue more Sweetie Belle sighed.
"Great way to start the day." she thought.
The three approached the clubhouse, the argument has long since died out. The crusaders walked into the clubhouse. Their silence was soon interrupted.
"Ooops," Scootaloo said, "I forgot to chain up Rainbow Fast."
As Scootaloo walked out Apple Bloom mumbled something rude about the object in question. Just then a scream was heard from outside. Both girls ran out to see what had happned.
"Scoots, whats wrong?!" Sweetie Belle asked.
"My scooter!" Scootaloo said as tears formed in her eyes. "Its gone!"
"Its ok," Apple Bloom reassured her friend. "We'll find it or mah name ain't Apple Bloom!"
Just then Sweetie had an idea. They could find the scooter and get their cutie marks!
"Girls I think we know what has to be done." Sweetie Belle said.
She told them her plan and both Apple Bloom and Scootaloo thought it was a great idea.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS DETECTIVES GO!" They cried in unison.
"Ok first things first," Apple Bloom said taking charge. "We have ta get leads, who would possibly steal the scooter?"
"Hmmmm, well we could ask Rarity if she has seen anything, well actually, we could ask Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Twilight, and Rainbow Dash if they know anything at all." Sweetie Belle said aloud.
Just then an audible thump came from outside, the clubhouse door swung open revealing none other then the pink party pony Sweetie had just mentioned.
"Hey girls I heard my name and I just had to come to see what all the fuss was about, well I would have come anyways because I'm having a party soon but- Ooh! do you want to come to the party? I would love to have you all! Maybe you could get your cutie marks in partying, like me! Wow wouldn't that be co-" Pinkie stopped talking when Apple Bloom had finally shoved a hoof in her mouth.
"Pinkie wait, Ah need to ask you some questions, ya see we got a mystery on our hands!" Apple Bloom said excitedly.
"Ooh! A mystery! Whats the mystery? Did something bad happen? Is there a secret?" Pinkie asked.
"Well, Scootaloo lost her scooter, I mean it was stolen," Sweetie Belle said," We need to know who did it."
"Hmm a scooter huh?" Pinkie Pie said becoming very serious, "I haven't seen much girls I'm sorry, I've been planning for a party all morning and I haven't seen it, wait! I remember something there was one customer, they looked shady and they kept on talking about how they are going to go so fast once they get the plan worked out... I don't know who it was though, but I could check the receipts today to see if anything is up."
"That would be great Pinkie!" Scootaloo said "Can we come with?"
"Well sure! I love company! We can just jump to the next paragraph if ya want!"
"The what now?" Apple Bloom said as Pinkie suddenly grabbed her hoof along with the other two crusaders.
"The next paragraph!" Pinkie Pie said gearing herself up for the travel, "Its just a hop, skip and a jump!"
Just as Pinkie said jump the girls somehow landed outside of Sugarcube Corner.
"Well come on in! We gotta get those receipts!" Pinkie Pie said as she bounced into the bakery.
"Okay," Sweetie Belle said as they walked out of Sugarcube Corner, "We got the receipts, now lets check out this mysterious pony."
All three fillies gasped as they saw the name, Diamond Tiara.
"Diamond Tiara?!" Scootaloo yelled, "That filly has my scooter?!"
"Well we shouldn't jump to conclusions, but it seems that way." Sweetie Belle said.
"We could ask her, she may not be nice, but she would tell the truth." Apple Bloom said quietly.
It was a known fact that Apple Bloom was tormented by Diamond Tiara and her accomplice Silver Spoon more than any other pony, and as much as she didn't want to be within a 5 foot radius of her, she would do it for Scootaloo, she would do it for her friend.
"Where do we go to find her?" Scootaloo asked.
"The school maybe," Sweetie Belle answered, "she tends to be there even when school isnt in session, you know, to make sure she can bully everypony who is by there."
"Hmm, we have to go there's no way around it, but we have to be extra nice so she wont lie or anything." Scootaloo said putting on a face at the thought of being nice to Diamond Tiara.
"Well," Apple Bloom said, "we better start walking."
As the three fillies approached the schoolhouse with dread in their stomachs, they saw a familiar pony by the door of the school.
"Cheerilee?" Sweetie Belle asked. "What are you doing here? I thought school wasn't going on today."
"Well," Cheerliee answered, "I have a surprise for you I found."
"What is it?" Scootaloo asked putting on a fake smile, she had had enough surprises today.
"Well come to the other side of the school and I'll show you." Cheerilee answered.
As the fillies and their teacher reached the other side of the school yard two gasps were heard and one squeak of delight!
"My scooter!" Scootaloo cried, "How did you find it Miss Cheerilee?"
"Well," Cheerilee said smiling, "The filly Diamond Tiara took it and I knew that was your scooter the minute I saw it."
"Thank you thank you thank you!" Scootaloo said with joy.
Scootaloo hopped on the scooter and proceeded to go of a small jump. She made the landing perfectly and as she did everypony gasped.
"Scootaloo!" Sweetie Belle said.
"That was amazing!" Apple Bloom said.
Scootaloo stepped off the scooter and walked over to them both.
"No you both are amazing," Scootaloo said as she hugged the two other crusaders, "you two were nice enough to help me find my scooter, thank you so much."
"Its no problem, Scoots." Apple Bloom said.
"No problem at all." Sweetie Belle smiled.
