Princess Celestia was levitating a cloth over the mirror in order to put it away, so her student wouldn't ask about it again or get any ideas to use it for evil. Before she could put the cloth over the mirror, a book was levitated in front of her with the page it was opened to titled 'How to become an Alicorn'. The Princess of the Sun turned and saw her student, Sunset Shimmer, levitating the book and glaring at her. "Sunset, what--" Celestia began with a confused expression. "I want you to make me a princess!" Sunset demanded. The white alicorn paused and after a moment of thinking, she told her student, "No.". "What?!" Sunset yelled at her. "The title of princess must be earned. I've tried my hardest to teach you that, but you wouldn't listen. Your selfishness just shows me that you're not ready." Celestia explained with a stern expression. "Me?! Selfish?!" Sunset exclaimed before firing the book at Celestia who blocked it. "This book says that I'm powerful enough to become an Alicorn and princess! YOU'RE the selfish one for keeping me from my rightful place!" "Stop it, Sunset. Getting angry at me wouldn't help anything." The Sun Princess commanded. "This is the biggest mistake you'll make in your entire life..." Sunset grumbled. Celestia stared out the window and towards the moon where her sister, Princess Luna, was spending her imprisonment. "One of many..." She sighed sadly. Sunset then ran off in a huff towards the mirror before jumping through it. Present Day Sunset woke up with a start, only to find herself in her room. She sighed while getting up and grabbing the journal she uses to contact Twilight Sparkle from the human world while the princess was in Equestria. After the fiasco at Camp Everfree, Sunset had been thinking about returning to Equestria: Sci-Twi had already succeeded in learning about friendship, so what point did she have here? She quickly wrote a small letter to Twilight about her plans to return to Equestria before going to change into her normal clothes and grabbing the journal before leaving the house. Once she stepped outside, she quickly texted her friends to meet her at the statue where the portal to go back to Equestria was. Sometime later, she stood with the Humane 6 as she explained the situation to them and how she wished to return to her home world. "You're leaving us, huh?" Human Rainbow Dash asked her. "Yeah, I am." Sunset answered with a nod. "We'll miss you!" Human Pinkie Pie exclaimed before tackling her with a hug. "I'll miss you girls too, but at least I'll know your pony counterparts." She smiled slightly. "At least that's a good thing..." Human Fluttershy said with a sigh. "Never forget about us, darling. We'll never forget about you." Human Rarity told Sunset. "I won't, Rarity." Sunset reassured her. "We'll make sure that this world won't fall apart and that's the honest truth." Human Applejack grinned. "Sunset, before you go, I have to tell you thanks for everything." Sci-Twi told Sunset. "No problem, Twi. Don't forget about me. I'll be with you in spirit while I'm back home in Equestria." Sunset said while putting her hand on Sci-Twi's shoulder. "Be sure to find my human counterpart too." "Don't you worry, Sunset! I will!" Sci-Twi exclaimed with a determined expression. Sunset turned to the Humane 6 and sighed, "Well, I guess this is goodbye then..." The six girls then pulled her into a group hug before Sunset waved to them before stepping into the portal that will lead her back to Equestria. With that, she was gone. Meanwhile, in Equestria... Twilight Sparkle and her assistant, Spike, were sleeping in the Castle of Friendship. Suddenly, Twilight was awakened by the flashing light emitting from the journal she used to contact Sunset. "Twilight, I think Sunset sent you a message..." Spike grumbled in his sleep. "I can see that." Twilight nodded as she got up from her bed and walked over to the journal. She levitated it over and saw the message Sunset wrote before she left the human world. It read: 'Dear Twilight, After the chaos at Camp Everfree, I was thinking about returning to Equestria. I think that your human counterpart already knows about friendship from what I've taught her, so I decided to come home to possibly make amends with Princess Celestia. I hope she forgives me... I look forward into seeing you and your friends again as well as living in Equestria. Your friend, Sunset Shimmer' "Spike, come with me to the basement. We need to greet Sunset once she comes out of the mirror." Twilight told him before running off while levitating her journal. "Alright, on it..." Spike yawned, getting out of his bed and following her. Once in the basement, Twilight's eyes widened as she saw that the machine she hooked the mirror to was beeping and lighting up while it rippled before Sunset jumped out, now in her pony form. "I'm finally back..." She sighed while staring at her hooves and levitating her journal. "Sunset!" Twilight gasped happily as she ran up and hugged her friend. "Twilight!" Sunset exclaimed. "Welcome back, Sunset." Twilight smiled. "So, what's up?" The orange unicorn asked the two. "Well, we're going to Canterlot for a summit with the princesses." Spike answered. "The rest of our friends are coming too if you want to come." "I would like to join you guys, Spike." Sunset nodded. "You can stay in the guest room." Twilight told her. "Thank you." Sunset smiled. "No problem." Twilight grinned at her. The orange unicorn nodded and left for her new room. "Well, back to bed for me..." Spike muttered as he walked off. Twilight yawned before walking to her room, hoping to get rest before the big summit. Hopefully, nothing will go wrong tomorrow, but then, the lavender alicorn knew that she might be jinxing herself if a war were to break out or an enemy attacks...
