Chapters Duckweed was waltzing out of his shed with a bag of worms over his shoulders, whistling "Giggle at the Ghosties". There was nothing this Stallion didnt like more than feeding and spending time with his pet ducks. He didnt have to worry about dealing with other ponies, who he really didnt understand emotionally speaking.All there was was him and the ducks underneath the warm sun. When he got to his destination, he shouted in horror "Bronson NOOO!" looking down at his poor ducks broken wing, scooping it off of the ground and kissing its head." Ill take you down to a vet, he will know what to do"
He began trotting towards the small cottage that apparently was Dr. Fluttershys veterinary practice, duck in hoof. He was mildly afraid of the social situation he was putting himself into. He kept telling himself "Just tell the vet that your duck needs help" trying to reassure himself. However he just wasnt sure he knew the social protocol for the situation, although he was annoyed by the diagnosis he couldn't deny that he had Aspergers Syndrome. He knocked on the door of the cottage rather brutally.
Fluttershy quickly opened the door, revealing the mildly handsome Duckweed. With his green coat, rubber duckie cutie mark and long yellow unkempt mane, he was possibly the weirdest looking stallion in Equestria. She looked into his eyes and asked "May I help you?" shyly
Their conversation turned rather long touching on animals, though Duckweed pretty much just like Ducks, their friends and their lives. Both Bronson and Angel Bunny were staring at them annoyed, waiting for their conversation to end.
Duckweeds sandwich making was interrupted by the ringing of his phone. "Oh boy who could this be!"he said wandering towards the phone.
Duckweed awoke from his attempt at sleeping and went togo get himself some coffee. He was rather excited by his upcoming lunch and skipped his way into the kitchen, almost stepping on Bronson. He drank his cofee and looked out his window planning how the date would go in his mind. After his cup was empty, he found it was 11:10 and went to go put on something nice. Nothing too fancy of course but something that would make him stand out. He went with his Checkerboard sunglasses and a fedora. Now he felt cool and ready to conquer the world. He burst through his doors, singing the song "Smile" halfway there
Flutttershy was fumbling with her dresses, there was her old birds nest hat which she laughed at the thought of wearing. She finally settled on her hand knit silk scarf and began to apprehensively trot out the door, nervous about her first date.
Fluttershy became as thick as theives over the next two weeks, devoloping a relationship that was the talk of the town. Rarity had felt mild jealousy at this fact, Fluttershy being able to bag a stallion before she could. Still she felt like being polite to the new couple. One day while Duckweed was at home, quietly reading "Mallards Magazine" when his phone began to ring. He grumbled a little to himself, quietly making a strange clicking sound that he often found himself repeating without his knowledge, annoying others.
Fluttershy and Duckweed walked home together laughing at the wild night they had just had, complimenting eachother at dancing. While Fluttershy was still somewhat shocked that she like this stallion enough to dance on top of a table with him, she though that maybe he must like her enough to trust that she wouldent be rendered indigniant by doing something so ridiculous. Suddenly, some strange pale white pegasaus with a curly blackmane ran up from behind a building and punched Duckmane to the ground. "Remember me from high school Dickweed!?" he said in a high pitched whiny voice. Enraged, Fluttershy asked "and just who are you?"
