It's been three days since Nerceli has been away; she told me before she left that she has business elsewhere for a while. Yesterday, she sent a letter saying that she'll meet me at the Apple's Pub's Pub, a joint to have a good drink over here in Manehattan. My name is Frank, a twenty-nine-year-old human that lives in Equestria. I have green eyes, blonde hair, a small mustache, and a scar on my shoulder from an accident I had when I lived back on Earth. However I got here, still remains a mystery to many ponies, including myself.

I met Nerceli when I was accepted into an Equestrian college here in Manehattan. We hit off well and in two months, we became a couple. I work over in a coffee shop, but for Nercelli, she never told me what she does for work. It's been a bother for a while and I still think about it at times. Besides work, she's a sweet mare during the day, but by night, she's different. How so? During the night, especially during a full moon, she's a freak in the sheets.

Each time we have sex, it's as though she's getting better to please me. Her voice makes my ears melt and her body is out of this world. Any stallion would love a mare like this one. After a year since we became a couple, we got an apartment together and have been living with each other since. The two of us would split the bills, but freakishly, she pays most of them. I don't know how she gets the bits, but she gets paid a lot of them.

It's been five years now and never have I expected to be living with a sweet and lovable mare as Nerceli.

After a long day of work, I walk along the sidewalk, wearing my casual wear of slacks and a red T-shirt. Today was busy than ever because one of the baristas happens to be sick and I took over his shift for the day.

"Ugh," I said, as I scratch the side of my head. "I feel worn out. I can't let Nerceli see me like this. Better go get a drink to refill my batteries."

There's a good place not too far from where I work called Apple Pub's Pub. Apple is a nice mare and a great bartender; Nerceli and I met her and once the three of us graduated college, she said to us that she's having her own pub. It didn't do well at first, but in a month, many ponies came in for a drink. Apple has a bright-yellow mane, light brown fur with a splash of white at her hooves, green eyes, and wears a necklace from her beloved grandmother, who taught her to be herself and make her dreams come true.

I walk into the pub, as I spot Apple looking at me across from her bar. I also got some looks from other stallions, but I just ignore them. I forgot to mention that there is a bit of bad crowd around here. One time, a stallion lost one of his fingers because he pissed off another stallion.

"Hey Frank," said Apple, as I take a seat on a stool. "What's up with you? You look exhausted."

"I took double shifts today because of one of the guys got sick," I said, rubbing my left temple. "I need a drink or a few."

"What'll it be?"

"Hot Mare, please."

"Coming right up," she said, as she bends down to get a glass. "Where's Nerceli? She at work?"

"She'll be here soon," I replied, as she stands up and pours down the liquor. "It's still a mystery to what she does for work. We've been together for five years and she still won't tell me what it is."

"That mare is a mystery to me, too," said Apple, as she places my drink in front of me.

"Thanks, Apple," I said, as I grab ahold of my drink and took a sip.

"No prob, Frank."

"Hey Apple," called out a stallion two stools to my left. "Another filler, please."

"So good to hear a polite stallion around here," chuckled Apple, as she walks over to the stallion with a smile.

I take another sip of my drink before looking back around the pub, seeing stallions with their marefriends, talking and enjoying themselves. My attention then goes to the door, seeing a very familiar mare walk in with her usual dark-purple shades and striped shirt with a long light-grey skirt. Her name is Photo Finish; I don't know much about her, but I do know that she's a photographer of fashion designs and she has done some interviews with many ponies from all over Equestria. Some stallions give out a few claps, while many mares surround her excitedly. For me, I don't care; I'm not a big fan when it comes to fashion. I pick up my drink and took another sip of it.

"Looks like the place is gonna get noisy for a bit," I thought to myself, as I place my drink down.

"Hey there, Miss Finish," said Apple, making me look to my left to see Photo Finish sitting beside me. "How's the business?"

"Everything is going smooth, I should say," replied Photo. "I vould love cider, please."

"Coming right up," said Apple, as she walks over to the end of the bar and pulls out a mug.

I look back at Photo, who looks over to me. I never sat close to someone (or in this case somepony) famous before.

"Uh... hi?" I said, trying to be friendly.

"Hello, human," she said with a friendly tone. "So good to meet you here. I've been looking for you actually."

"What?" I said with a cocked brow. "Really?"

"I was vondering, vould you like to haf your voice heard all over Equestria?"

"You mean like an interview?"

"Vith a few shots of yourself. You'll be paid handsomely."

"Wow... uh... would this interview be like... about myself and what it's like back on Earth before I somehow got here?"

"Yes. Don't vorry, you can keep personal things to yourself."

"Wow... I never imagined getting an interview by a famous mare and have my story heard all around Equestria," I thought. "Perhaps if this happens, ponies could start treating me differently or something interesting could happen."

"Vhat is your answer? I can give you time to think about this."

"I'll do it," I answered. "My marefriend would love to read it. She's quite a fan of your works."

"You haf a marefriend?" she said with surprise. "Vhat ist her name?"

"Her name is Nerceli. We feel in love five years back when she and I were in college."

"How sweet," she said, as Apple comes back with a full mug of cider.

"What are you two talking about?" asked Apple, as she rests her head on her hands.

"I'd like to interview vith him," replied Photo. "He has agreed vith me."

"You serious?!" said Apple, as she looks towards me astonished. "Are you sure about that, Frank?"

"I wouldn't mind ponies, Minotaurs, or whatever to know about me," I replied. "It makes me feel noticed. I bet not everypony knows of my existence."

"Well, that does make sense, but what about the paparazzi?"

"I wouldn't mind signing autographs and having more ponies interview me. I'd feel as famous as Keanu Reeves."

"Who's Keanu Reeves?" asked both Apple and Photo.

"A famous actor back on Earth," I answered. "He's done a lot of cool movies. The latest film to my knowledge before I got here is a film called John Wick. Kickass film with a lot of fast-paced action."

"Oh, cool," said Apple, as she takes her elbows off the bar. "Well, if you're okay with that, then so am I."

"What are you? My mother?"

"Oh, shut up," she chuckled, as she walks away to give a stallion his refill.

"So how's your day?" asked Photo, as she takes a sip of her cider.

"My day has been doing good," I replied. "My marefriend is meeting me here anytime soon. She's been out on business."

"Vhat does she do for vork?"

"I'm not sure. She never tells me what her job is."

"How Vierd. She should tell you. Perhaps maybe you're not ready yet."

"Huh?" I said, coking my brow.

"Maybe she'll tell you vhen you're ready. Trust me. Perhaps ask her tonight."

"Why tonight?"

"Nighttime seems like an appropriate timing."

"Mares are strange," I thought, as I took a sip of my drink.

"Oh!" said Photo, as she sticks her hand into her skirt pocket and pulls out a card. "Here. Vhenever you'd like to call me for zat interview, I'm all ears."

"Thank you, Photo," I said, as I take her card.

"Vhat time is it?"

"It's four-fifteen," I said, pointing to the clock over to my left at the wall across the bar.

"Oh, sveet Celestia!" she shouts, as she grabs her mug and gulps down a few sips before slamming it down onto the bar. "I haf to go."

"I'll let you know when I'm ready," I said, as she places five bits onto the counter and rushes out of the pub.

I smile, looking back to my drink and taking another sip.

"What was up with her?" asked Apple, as she comes back to me. "Did you scare her off?"

"No. She said she has some business to attend."

"I see," she said with an agreeable nod.

An hour has passed and still no sight of Nerceli. I want to call her, but she might be talking with her boss, so that's a no-go. Outside, Celestia's sun slowly goes down, making outside look orange and a bit dark by the shadows of buildings. I look back to the bar to see Apple coming up to me, setting down my third glass.

"Isn't she coming?" asked Apple, as she places my glass in front of me. "Did you call or text her?"

"I'm afraid she's talking with her boss and that I should not call or text her if that's happening."

"Good point," she said with a nod. "Just don't drink too much, okay?"

"You know I only have three drinks. That's my limit."

"Just looking out for you."

"You don't need to worry about me, Apple. It's not like I'm gonna drink as much as I can until she makes it here."

"I care about you like a family member."

"You'll be a great mom one day, Apple. You'll get married, have family of your own, and perhaps your child or children can take over your bar for another generation."

"I don't know about my children taking over this bar. They have minds of their own your know. If they don't want to take over this bar after me, then so be it."

"But this bar has been in your family for many years. At least have one of your kids take over. This place if like your family's legacy."

"... I'll think about it."

"Don't let this place go down."

"By the way," she said, smiling towards the entrance. "Somepony has finally made it."

I turn around to see none other than Nerceli, wearing black pants, and a dark leather jacket. Her dark purple tail sways back and forth as her cyan-colored eyes gleam and a smile appears on her lips. She runs up to me and hugs me tight, making me almost spill my drink. She gives me many kisses, as her breasts squish against my chest.

"How have you been, Franky?" she said in a cheerful voice.

"I'm a bit tired," I replied. "But luckily I've been recharging my batteries with a few drinks."

"I might as well join you three," she said, as Apple stretches out to hug Nerceli. "Good to be back, Apple."

"What would you have?" asked Apple, as Nerceli sits on the stool on my left.

"I'll take a small glass of Wild Berry."

"Coming up," she said, as she reaches down and prepares Nerceli's drink.

"Also, Nerceli," I said with a smile. "I met a certain famous mare today."

"What?!" she said with a gasp. "You met Photo Finish?!"

"How is it that at times you know before I say it?"

"What did she ask or say to you?" she said, ignoring my question.

"She gave me this," I said, as I pull out a card from my pocket.

Nerceli's horn glows, making the card slip out of my hand and looks down on it with a big smile on her face.

"Franky, you made my day," she said, as her tail swishes back and forth rapidly.

"She wants to do an interview with me and tell my story to Equestria."

"Make it happen, Franky!" she begs. "Please do it for me."

"I'll let her know when I'm ready. That card is important, so don't lose it."

"I'll guard it with my life," she said, as Apple places down her red colored drink.

"Looks like somepony is happy," said Apple.

"My lover is gonna get interviewed with Photo Finish," she squealed. "I'm so excited!"

"Calm your tits, Nerci. You're acting like an excited filly."

"I can't help it, Apple. This is a once in a lifetime chance. He has to do it."

As the two friends talked, I think back to Photo, telling me that perhaps tonight, I should ask Nerceli about her job. Nerceli has to tell me eventually; she can't hide it forever.

"Time I figured out what your job is tonight," I thought, as I take two sips of my drink.
