Ace and Twilight trotted to her library. Ace looked over at her. She was her usual, intelligent self, they came to their destination. She opened the door with her magic, which was odd since it was usually Spike who came to open the door. They cantered into the dark library. Twilight used a kindling spell on a candle. The room lit up. Ace looked over to her again, her mane was a bit on end.

"...Everything okay, Twilight?" He asked, she could hear the confusion in his voice.

"Yes, Ace. Everything is great, why would you ask that, everything is fine!" She started getting overly excited.

"I-it doesn't seem like it is..." She could hear the quivering in his breath.

"It is! I'm fine! You're fine!" She rambled on.

"Twilight... N-no..."

"What!?" She asked, her pupils shrunken, a twitch in her eye.

Ace began to back away.

She moved forward.

Ace started to turn away.

She moved faster.

Suddenly, Ace tripped over a body, the body of Spike.

His face was still stuck horrified, a bloody knife in his chest.

"...Y-you..." He looked back at her.

"You killed Spike..!?" He said, shocked.

"Ace I had to, he was starting to know too much!" She said, a crazed look in her eyes.

"T-twi... You've gone mad... I... I got to get out of here!" He turned back away, bucking the door open and galloping out.

"Ace! Wait! I need to kill you too!" She said, laughing.

Ace galloped as fast as he could go. Twilight was close behind, wielding a knife. They kept galloping on and on, until they got to the Everfree Forest.

"Ace! It'd be so much easier if you sit down and let me kill you!" She continued laughing.

Ace kept galloping past tree after tree. He eventually lost her. He let out a sigh of relief.

"I think she's gone." He said to himself.

He looked to his side, a shadow was reflecting behind him, though it wasn't his. He looked behind himself, Twilight standing behind him, breathing heavily.

"I found you, Ace." She smiled.

Ace bucked her in the face and ran away from her again. She stopped for a minute, rubbing the hoofmarks on her face. She started running again, starting to catch up to Ace. He ran on and on, until he came to a clearing. He'd lost her again.
