I Love You...

It was just like any other day on the farm, I was buckin’ apples into their buckets and then Apple Bloom took ‘em away to where Big Mac would wagon ‘em to the market to get ‘em ready for sellin’ later. So I was just about to head in and wash up, and as I was walking through the main field outside the house, I saw rainbow flyin’. She was flyin’ faster than normal which I thought was pretty weird, I mean, we had a dinner tonight at twilights but that wasn't for ‘bout an hour and it's not like it was a formal dinner or anything so I ignored it thinkin’ that it was just her practicin’ some new tricks or somthin’. So I went in and washed up since I was pretty sweaty and muddy from the pigs, when I saw mac out the window. He was runnin' real fast so I got a little worried and ran out to meet him.

“Mac, what in tarnation is all this about?”

“Apple- ja- ck- I- ju-” Big mac tried to spit out some words but could barely take a breath from all that running

“Now slow your horses I can barely understand ya” I had said, with a very worried expression on my face.

“AJ I just saw rainbow hit the silo!” I looked at him, shocked out of my mind,

“You did?” I said with a tremble in my voice, because I knew if rainbow was going at that alarming speed when she hit it, this would not be good.

“Ok mac u go and get the hospital ponies, I'm gunna run there as fast as I can and see what's goin’ on” then I started to gallop off when I heard a big

“Yup” from behind me. I was goin’ so fast I didn't even see the little rock until I tripped over it. I ran and ran until finally, i reached her, she was to understate it, a huge mess, bones jutting from her body, half of her skin ripped off. As I was getting closer I saw her start to go, but it looked like she was trying to say something to me, I yelled to her,

“JUST HOLD ON IM ALMOST THERE” but I could see her start to fade, that spark in her eyes that I always saw when she looked at me, died. Like right when the sun sets and you can't see it anymore, but the dull after colors are still there. Her rainbow mane that she was known for, tangled in blood, and when I reached her, I saw I trickle of blood come out of her mouth. At this point I knew it was too late, I knew she couldn't be saved. So I held her, I wrapped her mangled body in my arms, and as I could feel her last breath leave her body, I started to cry, somethin' that no one has ever seen me do, something that I havent done ever since my parents died in that awful accident. I started to cry so much my body was trembling, I was begging to Celestia to bring her back, please please bring her back, she was my favorite pony in all of Equestria, and as I felt the warmth leave her best friends body, I myself saw my life flash before my eyes, not because I was dying, but because I saw all of the great memories we shared together. And as I looked down at my beloved friend, I knew that I loved this pony, as more than a friend, and when I saw all the memories I saw that she did too, and she realized what rainbow was trying to say, and what I would have said if she were still alive,

"I love you”
