//-------------------------------------------------------// My Little Pony Friendship is Chaos -by Chaos6161- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Chaos never meant to hurt anyone or anything. If people had taken the time to get to know him, they would’ve seen the good side of him, rather than the murderous psychopath he became. However, circumstances showed that he was to blame. He had killed millions of people. Not only from his birthplace in Japan but also others from all over the world. Children, women, innocent bystanders, no one was safe from his killing spree. He was an unstoppable freak of nature. Almost nothing could affect him or hurt him. Many tried to destroy him but never got that opportunity. Being an insane psychopathic maniac meant Chaos’s morality, meaning his sense of right from wrong, had been completely lost; or so it was thought to be. Nobody knew how to stop him, let alone contain his psychic and telekinetic powers which he used to control or kill his victims among other abilities. But he wasn’t always a villain. There was once a time where he was just a boy trying to fit in a world of non-freaks. But, certain assets of his life he never knew of or even imagined that could happen to him were going to mold his future. Brought into the world in 1965, Chaos lived with his miscegenation parents in Tokyo Japan for the first few years of his life, then they moved to America. He was the oldest from the 4 children. He had a brother that was 2 years younger than him, and 2 even younger sister. He was 6’4 tall and strong; rather wiser than his parents initially thought however yet reckless. A valiant youth to a point, steadfast but unpredictable, merciless yet kind. What made Chaos different from his siblings was that he had psychic and telekinetic abilities that he managed to develop with the help of his parents. He lived a relatively simple and happy life, until his family returned back to Japan. A month after their return, his whole family, except for him and his youngest sister, were killed a brutal fashion. From that day on, something awoke inside him, an unspeakable evil that would define him for most of his life. Something that would later cause him to lose the little euphoric he had left. ~ ♫ ~ One of Chaos’s greatest assets, along with some others was his extraordinary mind. With it, Chaos could do things that seemed impossible at the time.         In time he was asked by a company that was made up of some of the brightest scientist in Japan to join them in creating a better and peaceful Japan and world. Its name was CCPc or Central City Power corps. Overwhelmed by the offer, Chaos immediately accepted the offer not knowing what his decision would cost him. ~ ♫ ~ After a few years, Chaos had risen to become one of the top scientist. However, when he did, he was asked to do something nobody could ever do: Design a type of serum or drug that not only enhanced the users’ performance but also gave them god-like powers. Not knowing what it was actually for, he accepted the challenge and got right to work. Within a few months he created a prototype that showed promising results but sometimes had terrible side effects. However, CCPc wanted it tested on humans right away but Chaos warned that it wasn’t ready and that he needed more time to fix the horrible side effects. That was when Chaos saw the true side of CCPc. ~ ♫ ~ One day, Chaos was asked to fix one of the supposed fuse boxes and or boilers in the building. As he entered the cold dark room, he felt something was not right about the room. But by the time he realized the room wasn’t anywhere near or even had a fuse box, the doors to the entrance closed shut sealing him inside. As he banged on the door in an attempt to catch someone’s attention to help him get out, but nobody did. He looked around for anyway out but didn’t find one. In a last attempt to get out, he used his psychic abilities to break open the doors but before he could, the lights turn on suddenly making him jump and snap out of his concentration. In front of him was a type of machine pointed directly at him. Chaos quickly noticed the serum inside the machine and realized what was going on. However, he didn’t have time to react for the machine fired at him causing him to knock out. After the machine stopped, moments later Chaos rose from the ground seemingly fine but something was different about him. His eyes and face seemed insane, he had a weird looking smile that almost seemed eerie in nature, his physical appearance looked like it had grown in strength, and he twitched every so often whispering something to himself and laughing like the Joker. The machine not only amplified his psychic abilities but also gave him new ones as well. He now had the power of a slow regeneration factor and healing factor, absorb almost any kind of energy, change his molecular density, and super strength. He then looked up at a wall and said, “I…am free. Let’s have some fun. Shall we?” Immediately the whole room began to shatter and crumble to the floor but some the large chunks of the room stayed levitated in the air as if some force was keeping them up. While the room kept crumbling Chaos noticed a small room at the corner of his eye. Wanting to see what was inside, he diverted a chunk of the room towards the small room. As it crashed into the room, he realized that some of his fellow scientists were inside the room. Not having any kind of restraint, Chaos approached his fellow companions and brutally murdered them without any mercy. Thus beginning the Reign of Chaos. ~ ♫ ~ However, after many years of brutal and bloody murders, Chaos had begun to regain back his sense of morality and other traits that made him the person he used to be. But by that time, the world had already made up their minds about him: He needed to be destroyed. No matter the cost. Knowing that the world was against him, Chaos decided to build a machine to take him to another world, one where it was uninhabited and had plenty of vegetation. Although the possibility to travel to another world was impossible, Chaos had already created the technology to do it. However, most parts were already in his possession but there were a few materials that he needed for the machine to work. So, that is when he went in search for the materials for his machine. Although Chaos tried to evade hurting innocent people there were times where he had to get his hands dirty. //-------------------------------------------------------// How it all began //-------------------------------------------------------// How it all began The police had surrounded Chaos and a group of hostages he had taken with him to an uninhabited building that supposed to be demolished the next day. “Give me what I want or I will destroy this building and everyone in it!” “You don’t need to do that.” The chief of the police spoke into his megaphone, “We can settle this without hurting anyone else.” “Sir, we have the snipers ready and armed. They have him in his sights.” An officer spoke into the chief’s ear. “Good. Maybe we can get this lunatic off the streets and into the state prison or if it doesn’t work we can always call Gridiron.” What are they talking about over there? Could they be planning something? Unsure what was going on down on the streets, Chaos decided to read the Chief’s mind. After reading his mind, he realized that there were snipers hidden in the nearby buildings. But before he could react, a sniper fired his gun causing the others to fire as well. Trying to dodge the bullets, Chaos accidentally crushed and activated the explosives inside the building. As the building began to be consumed by the fire and collapsed to the floor, Chaos managed to get away from it and retrieve his missing part to make his machine work. Once getting it, he headed towards his secret lair or laboratory in which he had built the machine. Upon arriving there, he quickly assembled the machine and prepared a test subject to make sure it worked. After finding out it worked perfectly, he gathered all his things that he would need for the permanent trip. After finishing, Chaos had become too tired to make the travel that day; so he decided to leave first thing in the morning. However that day wouldn’t come. As darkness filled the sky with bright stars and a full moon, Chaos had gotten a few hours of sleep until he heard a loud crash. Startled by the noise, he slowly got out of his bed and quietly checked what or who had made that sound. To his surprise, soldiers was at his front door of his laboratory trying to break open the second door. “How in the hell did they find me?!” Chaos asked himself. Scurrying away from his door, Chaos activated his machine and prepared all his things for the trip. As he prepared to leave, the soldiers entered his lair and began to raid it; destroying anything they saw. Gridiron was with them as well. He was a tall Japanese man wearing some type of suit that was design specifically for him. No one knew where he had come from but once thing was for certain, he was the only person to stand up to Chaos and have a chance of winning. Gridiron’s abilities gave him control over fire, water, earth, and wind. He also had psychic abilities but not as powerful as Chaos.       Knowing he had very little time, he grabbed as many things as he could and entered the portal. Is it just me or does this machine remind me or something? Can’t put my finger on it. It’ll come to me eventually. Seeing him from the corner of his eye, Gridiron grabbed one of the soldier’s guns and shot the machine causing it to malfunction. Being inside the portal at the time, Chaos realized what had happened and tried to run out of the portal and into the planet, but it shut, sealing him inside what he called the Negative Zone. For a while of being trapped inside the Negative Zone, he began to twitch and turn violently. After that, he began to feel extremely sick. Then, a horrible headache began to emerge. After all these things had gotten up to a point, Chaos began to laugh and scream unleashing a powerful aura that opened up another portal. His sense of reality had become so distortion that he began seeing strange things and images.  I…became… i…insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity. It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane. The fear of insanity or what we would become if we embraced it is what keeps us sane, therefore being sane is in itself insanity. All of us have madness and insanity inside us; some deeper than others. However, no matter what, there would be no light without dark. Just as there would be no dark without light. He kept repeating those words over and over again while showing no signs that he would ever stop. Having lost control of himself and his sanity once again, Chaos laughed evilly and insanely unlike never before. The vortex of the portal began to shut slowly but before it did, it sucked Chaos into it and then closed completely. As he traveled through the vortex his sanity slowly began to return until it had returned back to normal. Shocked and disillusioned by the experience, Chaos had gotten a better understanding of interplanetary travel. Arriving at the end of the portal, he saw that the world he was going to was inhabited. “Oh no.” He told himself, “Anything but this.” He then fell from the portal and onto the ground of the world he was sent to. Immediately he got up and flew up towards the portal but it closed before he could get to it. “Great! Now I’m stuck in the middle of who knows where along with the inhabitants of this world. Simply great.” He said to himself sarcastically. //-------------------------------------------------------// Misunderstandings //-------------------------------------------------------// Misunderstandings After being left behind in world that he didn’t know of, he decided to explore it in order to stay away from the inhabitants. As he roamed the dark woods, he felt the eerie feeling that he was being watched. “Whoever you are, show yourself!” He shouted, “I won’t hurt you. I promise, unless you attack me and then I will be forced to kill you. Well, not be forced to, rather than just kill you because I can.” To his surprise, no creatures ever attacked him or even showed themselves rather they stuck to the shadows. “That’s what I thought you pussies!” He exclaimed to any nearby creatures. He kept on exploring the new world and to his surprise, he noticed that it was fairly similar to his own world. However, once he exited the woods and into that world’s civilization, he realized that he was in big trouble. Immediately, the inhabitants of that world saw him and screamed in fear as they scattered away the more and more Chaos moved closer the village. As Chaos entered the small town or village, he managed to gather many things dropped from the disarray he caused. “Hello!” He yelled, “Anyone home! No? Alrighty then.” While he explored the small town, he came across a cart filled with apples. Thinking no one was near to stop him, Chaos took as many apples as he could and retreated back into the woods for the day. Once he left, the inhabitants exited from their houses and began asking about the strange creature they had just seen. For many days, Chaos returned back to the village and took many supplies back into the woods. It got so bad that word had to be sent to Princess Celestia about the problem. Interested in the new creature, she assigned her pupil Twilight Sparkle to investigate the problem along with her friends. As the days before, Chaos returned back to village for more supplies. However, standing in his way stood were 6 ponies determined to stop him. Chaos ignored them and gathered his supplies. Shocked that he ignored them, the girls tried again to block his path. “We cannot let you take any more supplies for your own personal benefit.” Twilight Sparkle said determined. “Oh really?” Chaos asked sarcastically, “And how do you expect to stop me?” “We are 6,” Applejack responded, “against you. I’m pretty sure we beat you.” “Now there is where you are wrong.” Chaos replied with a smirk. He then threw the supplies into the air and smashed the ground causing a giant earthquake catching Twilight and her friends by surprise. Chaos then used his psychic ability of illusion to make it seem there was more than one of him. He then passed the ponies by without any problem and wasn’t seen for the rest of the day. As for his illusions, they faded away once Chaos was at a safe distance. “What just happened?” Rarity asked perplexed. “I honestly don’t know?” Twilight answered also confused, “First he shakes the ground and then there many of that thing running in all directions. The girls prepared the next day for their next encounter. As before, Chaos appeared exiting from the woods and into the village. However, once he reached the village, the 6 ponies from before weren’t there. “Heh. Guess they were afraid. But why wouldn’t they. I’m a human living in world infested by talking ponies! I’m actually surprised that I’m not freaking out right now. Oh wait, that’s because I already did on the first day I saw these abominations.” Chaos thought to himself. He quickly gathered what he needed and headed back to his hideout. Without him knowing, Chaos was being followed by Twilight Sparkle and her friends from afar. Once he arrived at his hideout, the girls were surprised to observe him build a shelter from the wood and supplies he gathered over the few days he arrived. “What do you think we should do twilight?” Applejack asked. “I think we should leave him alone. Maybe if we give him what he needs he’ll stop frightening the rest of the ponies.” Fluttershy replied, “He doesn’t seem like he wants to hurt anypony. He could be friendly.” “I don’t know.” Twilight responded, “Princess Celestia wants us to stop it or capture it.” Chaos worked all afternoon until nightfall and fed upon the fruits and other eatable deliquesces he gathered. While he prepared to rest for the night, the girls sprang into action catching Chaos by surprise. However, he wasn’t totally unprepared for the situation. On the first few days of his arrival in the new world, he set up deadly traps with material from his surroundings. Those exact materials traps were used to delay the advancement of the 6 ponies out to get him. “They just don’t give up do they? Hopefully my traps kill them.” Chaos said to himself as he went inside his shelter to rest. However, after a few minutes of being asleep, he woke up on the cold floor and inside a large room with two Unicorns with wings approached him slowly. He got up but collapsed due to his hands and legs being restrained together by something that wasn’t a rope or anything he knew. “What is this?!” He asked gruffly, “Release me now! Or I will make you all pay!” “Calm down.” Said the Unicorn with the rainbow mane, “We did not mean to hurt you or disturb you. But you have been stealing from the town and causing panic in it as well.” “Well it ain’t my fault.” Chaos responded, “I haven’t hurt or killed anyone. All I need is some supplies for my shelter in the woods. Now, you can give me those supplies here and now so that I don’t bother any of your kind again or I will still return back to the village and take what I need little by little.” “We will not do such thing…” The other unicorn with wings with the dark mane. “Sister. No. Do not let him anger you.” A few moments later, the six ponies were brought in to the large room. “You!” Chaos snarled, “You did this! If you had just left me alone then we would all live in peace!” “Calm yourself. We don’t want trouble.” The unicorn with the rainbow mane responded calmly. “Fine. So what do you want from me?” He grunted. “All we want is to know is if you are a threat to us and that you repay all the supplies you took from the town during the past few days.” “Princess Celestia, you can’t be serious?” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “Princess?! Let me guess, there’s no king or queen and yet you two have taken upon yourselves to rule this… uhhh, kingdom.” “What happened to us is none of your business.” The unicorn with the black mane replied gruffly. After talking for a long time, things cooled down enough for one of the Princesses to introduce herself, her sister Princess Luna, her pupil Twilight and her friends. Chaos then introduced himself and explained what he was and why he was there but didn’t mention his name. “Apologies for my initial behavior. I haven’t been myself lately. As you can all see, I’m not like any of you… ponies. I’m a human. Which from what I can tell, none of you never have met anyone or anything like me.” “Okay then.” Twilight replied, “How do we know that you aren’t a danger to us?” “You don’t. You’ll just have to keep an eye on me. Cause even I don’t know if I am a danger to you all.” “What do you mean?” Princess Luna asked. “Let’s just say, that from where I come from, I’ve had to defend myself and sometimes do more than that.” “Very well.” Princess Celestia responded. “So, what’s going to happen to me?” He asked curiously. “The same as before.” Celestia replied, “We will keep an eye on you until we decree that you are safe to be around and for you to repay all that you’ve stolen.” “Fair enough. But how do you expect me to repay it if I’m not working or anything like that?” “I’ll let Twilight and her friends take care of that. Since they will be the ones to watch over you.” “What?!” All 6 of the girls exclaimed. “You can’t be serious! We don’t even know what he is. He could be threat to us!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “That’s final.” Celestia responded with a serious tone. “So… Can I get out these cuffs or whatever they are?” Chaos asked suddenly. “Of course.” Luna replied, “You are free to go.” “Good.” He replied as he broke free out of his restraints with ease. Surprised, Princess Celestia asked shocked, “H-How were you able to get out of that?” “Ever since I woke up I felt I could break easily from those restraints but I decided not to. I wanted to see how things would play out before I get free.” He replied. “B-But that spell was cast on you by me.” Celestia responded still surprised. “Well, I guess you’ll have to work harder on your so called spells, because it felt like paper. I had to restrain my own strength to stay tied up.” He then walked out of the room followed closely by the still surprised girls. “How is this possible Twilight?” Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Rarity asked perplexed. “I don’t have the slightest clue.” She responded, “That’s why we have to keep a close eye on him.” “But how could he break free from a restraint spell, let alone the spell casted by Princess Celestia?!” Rarity asked almost yelling. “I don’t know Rarity.” Twilight responded annoyed, “But soon we’ll get to the bottom of this. If he is a threat, he’ll show his true colors sooner or later.” As they finished their little conversation, Chaos was on top of a window ready to jump. “Well here goes nothing!” He yelled as he jumped off. “Don’t!” Twilight exclaimed as she ran towards the window but arrived too late. As Chaos fell towards the ground, he realized that it wasn’t as of a good idea as he thought. “Well this isn’t going to end well. Is this the end of Chaos?” he said to himself. Before he splattered onto the dirt floor beneath him, Chaos managed to use his Telekinetic ability to stop himself from crashing onto the ground. To his surprise, he levitated still far from the ground. “Well this is interesting.” He told himself, “Usually it would take me longer for me to stop myself.” Chaos landed himself safely onto the ground and waited for his watcher to catch up to him. Once they did, they were yet again surprised out of their mind to see their “prisoner” seemingly fine. “H-How did you survive such a big fall? No pony without wings could’ve lived through a fall that high.” “Then it’s a good thing I’m not any pony.” Chaos responded over-confidently, “Man. I will never get used to saying that.” He began heading towards the woods until Rainbow Dash stopped him and asked, “Where do you think you’re going?” “Uhhh, let me think.” He responded sarcastically, “I landed in the woods, and I have all my supplies there including my shelter. So, unless you guys have somewhere else for me to sleep in, I’m going back to my shelter.” He then pushed her away and kept on walking. “Wait!” Twilight exclaimed. “What now?!” Chaos grunted, “This better be good, because I’m about 5 seconds away to run all the way back to my shelter.” “We do have place for you, now that I think about it. Fluttershy could give a room for the night.” “What!” Fluttershy yelled surprised, “A-Are you sure? Maybe he could go to your house or maybe Applejack’s barn?” “You’ll be fine.” Twilight assured her friend, “Besides, I’ll make regularly checks to make sure everything is fine. Okay?” “If you say so.” Fluttershy replied quietly. “Fine then.” Chaos responded as he followed Flutershy back to her cottage. Once they arrived there, Chaos was surprised to witness the structure of the cottage. “Wow.” He whistled, “Cool architecture. Very economical.” “Uhh. Thanks.” She responded softly, “W-Would you mind telling me your name? I don’t think you told anyone what your name was.” “Oh. It’s Chaos.” He replied with a smile, “Yeah. I know, it’s a weird name. Don’t look so surprised.” Intimidated by just his name, Fluttershy shakingly welcomed Chaos into her small home. “Small door we have here.” Chaos joked. “So-Sorry.” She responded. “Don’t worry about it. I was just joking. I can get in fine.” He assured her, seeing that she was acting rather nervous around him, “So, where will be sleeping tonight?” Fluttershy led him to a small empty room in where he was going to sleep. As Chaos struggled to walk inside the small house, he noticed many animals inside the house. “Oye. What’s with all the animals in your home? Are they your pets or something?” “Yes they are. I take care of each and every one of these creatures you see.” “Awesome.” To both of their surprise, the animals slowly walked towards Chaos and gently showed their affection. “Well I’ll be damned.” Chaos responded, “They like me. I did have 2 dogs long time ago. They were a mix of Chihuahua and some other species dog I can’t remember. I also had a pet horse but he was sent to the slaughter house and grinded into meat. He was delicious by the way. The most delicious horse meat ever.” “What?!” She exclaimed, surprised by his response. “Gotcha.” Chaos joked, “I’m kidding. Don’t take it seriously. But I did have a pet horse and unfortunately he was put down.” “Oh.” She responded quietly. Once things settled down, Chaos realized that he was much too big for Fluttershy’s house and room. So once everyone was asleep, he snuck out and slept on the grass close to the house until dawn. Once the sun began to rise, Chaos snuck back into the tiny house and left everything as it was before. He then returned back to his shelter and began chopping nearby trees with his bare hands until the girls found him. “What do you think you’re doing Chaos?” Twilight asked gruffly. “Let me see.” Chaos sarcastically replied, “I’m chopping wood because I’m feeling murderous and not because I want to finish building my humble home.” “Enough games.” Twilight responded firmly, “We promised that we’d keep an eye on you.” “And you have.” Chaos interrupted, “Just ask the yellow one. She’ll tell you that I didn’t do anything suspicious. Rather I was calm and there was peace among the world.” “You’re full of jokes aren’t you?” Applejack asked sarcastically. “It keeps me sane. Because I’m insane in the membrane. Get it?” “Okay then.” Rarity responded suddenly, “Why don’t we all agree that you have a strange sense of humor?” “Sure. Why not.” He replied as he continued working. “By the way Chaos,” Applejack asked curiously, “how are you chopping wood if you don’t have any tools?” “Oh. I just use my hands to sever the nearby trees. As you can see.” He answered without looking up. “How’s that possible?” Twilight asked surprised, “Can your kind or species do that?” “Actually, no. As far as I knew and know I was and still am the only person who can do this. However, after a while my hands do tend to get a little bloody and broken as you can see.” Chaos lifted his arms to reveal his broken fingers, extremely bruised hands, showing excess of blood, and skin peeled off to the bones. “Oh my!” Rarity exclaimed. “Chaos! Your hands! We have to get you help now!” Twilight exclaimed. “Why?” Chaos answered calmly, “There’s no need. They’ll heal eventually. Just give it a few hours’ tops. By the end of this day, I’ll have brand new, fully functioning, working hands.” “How’s that possible? How can you heal from wounds that bad?” “I just can. If none of you have noticed, I have abilities that make different. Not only from all of you obviously. But even also from my species.” “How? Aren’t all of your kind similar? You know, kind of like us?” “In a way, yes. However, I’m different say like you are different from the one with the apple tattoo. However, in my society and or among my species, being different is shunned upon. And sometimes, even people that are different are hunted just because of that.” Once after giving some insight of how he lived in his world, Chaos got up and returned back to the town. “So, since you have what I would expect some kind of currency, I’ll need you to buy some items for me. They aren’t much, and I will repay all of you once I get job or something.” Chaos told them. “Uhhh. Sure.” Twilight responded hesitatingly. They all pitched in to help Chaos gather his items, and as he said they were only a few that he needed. Still not fully healed from his broken hands, Chaos used his telekinetic abilities to levitate them and bring them to his shelter. As he did that, he shocked everyone that saw him do it. Unknown to him, Unicorns were the only ones to be able to lift objects. Without knowing it, Chaos had begun a widespread rumor that he might well be the most powerful being in all Equestria, even far greater than the princesses themselves.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Fitting in //-------------------------------------------------------// Fitting in After a few months of being in Equestria, Chaos had somewhat gotten to know most of the citizens in the small town and gotten the reputation of being called “the outsider”. Twilight and her friends were the only ones to know his real name. Even after learning some of the culture in that world Chaos mostly kept to himself and stayed inside him new home. However, he stopped showing up to events and even to previously arranged “dates”. Twilight soon began to worry as he had not shown any signs of isolation. Convincing her friends to visit Chaos to see if he was alright. Once they all agreed they headed into the woods and came upon his home torn apart with him nowhere to be seen. But soon after, they heard a deep growl coming further into the deep dark woods. The girls gathered up the courage to search on and found him shadow boxing and practicing martial arts. They also noticed his clothes torn up badly to the point of falling off. After he finished his workout, he noticed the girls watching him from a distance. He casually walked up to them and asked what they wanted. “W-We were worried about you.” Rarity replied nervously. “Really?” he responded surprised, “I didn’t think you’d guys care for me after the princesses saw that I’m not a threat to your species. Oh! And by the way, know that I’ll never get over the fact that I’m a human living in a world with sentient animals. Mostly ponies along with a few others animals.” “You’re our friend Chaos.” Rainbow Dash replied, “Whether you like it or not, you are part of this group.” “Now that is very flattering. It’s been ages since I’ve ever been a part of something. Much less have friends in the process. Thank you.” “What happened to your house?” Twilight asked abruptly. “Oh just some creatures from the woods messing up my home. I took care of them if you were wondering.” Chaos responded with a sadistic smile, “Anyways, I’ve finished my training for today. Is it just me or am I stronger than before? Could be that since I’m a different world the gravitational pull or something else is affecting my powers. Boosting them almost 5 times stronger then on earth.” “Uhh. Chaos. Who are you talking to?” Applejack asked confused. “I was talking to myself. I have a tenancy to do that. Sorry.” As he prepared to head back, he got the strange feeling that something was wrong. “Don’t move!” he exclaimed, “We’re being watched.” Moments later, they all began looking everywhere to spot the stalker. Twilight managed to see a pair of green eyes in the distance then reappearing closer every time. “Chaos, they’re timberwolfs.” She whispered. “I knew it.” He replied, “They were the ones who destroyed my home. They’ll pay for their insolence.” He then used his telekinetic abilities to drag one of the timberwolfs out from the shadows causing the others to reveal themselves. “Stay behind me.” He told the girls, “This is between me and them.” “But there are too many. You won’t survive!” Rarity exclaimed worried. “Shattering expectations is what I do best.” He said as he ran towards the wolves. He jumped into the air and smashed the ground causing the ground nearby to crumble giving him the needed advantage. Without hesitation, Chaos teared each timberwolf using only his hands. After the quick battle, Chaos stood on a pile of ripped apart limbs of the timberwolves. He then roared mimicking the Godzilla roar of Return of Godzilla astonishing Twilight and her friends. He then looked around to make sure none had left during the battle. At the very corner of his eye, he saw a sneaky timberwolf slowly creeping up onto the gang. “Fluttershy, look out!” He shouted as he ran towards the beast. Just as the creature leaped towards her, Chaos barely managed to get in front of her and block the attack. Unfortunately, he instead got attack and badly injured in the process. However, he didn’t go down without killing the creature first. Chaos smashed the creature into the ground several times before he tore its jaws off. “And that ladies and gentlemen, is how you kill… whatever that thing is. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna take a nap now.” He collapsed onto the floor unconscious. Once Chaos woke up, he found himself in the princess’s castle being attended by what looked like a nurse. “Well, I’m official dead. Or I could’ve gone insane again which might make this scenario more realistic.” “Fortunately, you are not dead.” Princess Celestia replied. “Oh good.” He responded with a heavy sigh, “For a second there I was about burst into song and sing I feel good by James Brown or AC/DC Highway to Hell. Probably the second one.” “Very well then. I heard that you saved twilight and her friends from a pack of timberwolves?” “Is that what those things are called? And here I thought they would be named like Barkwolf or some stupid name. And to answer your question, yes I did. They were also the ones who destroyed my home.” “I shall make arrangement for supplies to be given to you to rebuild your home.” “Thank you. I appreciate it.” “So tell me, how were you able to defeat these creatures without using any weapons or magic?” “Well you see, in my world I was given abilities that others like me would only imagine. So due to these abilities, I was able to use some of them to not only defend against those creatures a day before but also in protecting the girls.” “Can you tell me how you are able to heal yourself with no help of any kind?” “That’s just my healing or regenerative factor. I can basically regenerate any limb and or internal organs damaged or destroyed.” “That’s remarkable. Simply amazing.” “Why thank you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to pay a visit to Rarity.” Chaos rose from the bed and prepared to leave. “May I ask the reason for your visit?” Celestia asked curiously. “To make me some new clothes of course. You do see what am wearing right? A little more wear and tear and I’ll be naked.” Chaos then went to the nearest window and prepared to jump off it. “What are you doing?” Celestia asked confused. “Uhhh. I’m jumping out the window. Don’t worry, nothing is going to happen. I’ve done this before. It’s fun.” He then jumped off and caught himself midway. He clumsily flew towards the village crashing right in front of Rarity’s home. Hearing all the commotion outside, Rarity’s sister Sweetie Belle opened the door to see what was happening. However, to her surprise, she came face to face with Chaos. Terrified of him, she immediately closed the door and hid. Chaos knocked on the door several times until Rarity went to answer it. “Don’t open it! Sweetie Belle exclaimed from her hiding place, “It’s the creature from the dark forest. I’ve heard terrible rumors about him.” “Oh that preposterous. He’s actually friendly once you get to know him.” She opened the door and invited Chaos inside. “Come in. Come in. What can I do for you today?” She asked curiously. “Well, I have come to ask you a favor.” He responded shyly. “Go on” She urged. “I wanted to know if you could make me some clothes.” Chaos replied, “The ones I have, have been rather old as you can see.” “Of course I can dear. But it will take some time. You image is new to me and it’ll take time to find the right measurement for you.” She answered. “Oh no take your time. I‘m in no rush at all. No problem at all.” As Rarity took his measurements, Sweetie Belle slowly crept from her hiding place and walked closer and closer to him. “Is it just me or am I seeing a little you, Rarity?” Chaos joked. “Chaos, meet my little sister Sweetie Belle.” “How do you do?” Sweetie Belle said as she did a small bow. “Likewise. Now tell me something? Why does everyone here have strange names?” Chaos asked curiously. “I wouldn’t be talking dear. At least we aren’t the one named Chaos.” Rarity replied. “You know what Rarity…” He responded gruffly, “Your right. I got nothing. Absolutely nothing. She has me in box here.” Seeing that Chaos wasn’t as scary or even as bad as ponies at her school made him out to be, Sweetie Belle realized that she had misjudged him and apologized for it. “Don’t worry about it.” He told her, “You aren’t the first to judge me for my appearance.” “Really?” She asked surprised, “Why do you say that?” “Well… Don’t tell your sister but even she and her friends had their doubt about me. Not only that, but they also kinda feared me because their magic doesn’t really affect me. Like at all. Now I don’t mean Twilight’s magic I mean Princess Celestia’s magic.” “Wow!” “Remember, don’t tell your sister. She’s already has enough on her shoulders.” “Tell me about it.” “You done Rarity?! I have to help out Applejack with something at her farm.” “Oh! Yes. I’m done. You’ll have your clothes soon enough.” After leaving her home, Chaos then went towards Applejack’s farm to help out. There he also met her sister, Apple Bloom, who as helping Applejack pick the apples from the fields. Without warning, he struck the ground shaking the trees causing many of the apples to fall to the ground. “What in tarnation is going on?!” She asked frantically. “Well. Well. Well. What do we have here? More work for me? Yay.” Chaos said sarcastically. “Should’ve know it was you Chaos.” Applejack replied. “The one and only!” He shouted cheerfully. “Aren’t you in a good mood today?” “Ehh. I’ve always tried to see things from the positive perspective. And the way things are going for me now, why wouldn’t I be in a good mood. By the way, who’s the little rascal with you?” “Be nice Chaos.” “What?! You know I’m just kidding. Unless she’s a troublemaker then in that case I do actually mean it.” “This is my sister Apple Bloom. Go ahead.” She told her sister. “Howdy.” Chaos said trying to star up a conversation with her. “Hi.” Apple Bloom responded shyly. Realizing that she was still too shy to talk Chaos returned the favor by saying, “Well, that was an exciting conversation. Me saying “Howdy” and you with your “Hi”. We really got to know each other. We should talk more sometime and hopefully we can go past saying “Hi”.” “In that case, I have a few things I need you to do.” Applejack interrupted. “Just tell me what you need chief and I’ll do it.” After he finished up his work in the farm, Chaos begun to head home when Apple Bloom stopped him to apologized. “Look kid, I know that I seem terrifying to you but it’s not what’s on the outside that matters it’s what’s on the inside. As I’ve said this before, strangely enough the same day as well, you’re aren’t the first one to misjudge me just because I’m different. Even Princess Celestia and the other one, I forget her name. Ah yes. And Princess Luna misjudged for because of my appearance. So comes to show you that even the most noble of you can be lead to judge before you even can get to know them.”  He then left and headed towards his temporary home. Few days later, Chaos crashed down onto the school Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle went to causing a widespread panic among the students and kids. Confused by the commotion, Chaos tried to calm everyone down but to no avail. Eventually, he bumped into Apple Bloom hiding from the rest of her classmates. “Apple Bloom. What the hell are you doing all the way out here?” He asked surprised. “Hiding.” She responded. “Why? Tell me who they are I’ll rough’em up so bad they won’t come to school anymore. Also they'll find their body dumped in a lake or river or whatever.” “No! No. It’s nothing like that. Before you arrived, these fillies, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon got their cutie marks and…” “Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Cutie mark? What’s that? You mean those symbols that Twilight and her friends have on the side of their asses?” “Cutie marks are obtained when ponies discover a unique characteristic that sets themselves apart from others.” “Interesting. Strange but yet fascinating.” “Yeah. They were in the middle of a cute-ceañera.” “A what!?” “A cute-ceañera. It is celebrated by those who have recently gotten their cutie marks. You crashing down actually ruined the event.” “Awesome. By the way, don’t you mean a quinceañera? You know, a celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America. If you’re wondering where that is? Just know that it’s a non-specific place in my world.” “I’ve tried everything and I still have no cutie mark. Everyone has tried helping me, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack. Nothing.” “Look, from what I know and heard of these symbols, everyone gets them eventually. Obviously I’m not going to get one but you will. And believe me, I know at least one more fully that is a “blank”. Let’s go back to the party and try to have a good time. Besides, I need a distraction.” Apple Bloom returned to the party with Chaos by her side, but he quickly disappeared once she entered, leaving her exposed. The two follies found Apple Bloom and began to mock her once more for being a blank flank. “Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!” Chaos exclaimed from a distance, “Look! I’m a girl that just got their symbol thing, I'd rather be anywhere than here! I'm all about long sullen silences, followed by mean comments, followed by more silence! So what's it gonna be, long sullen silence, or mean comment? Go on, take your pick.” “...You got us both in a box here.” Both of them replied. “AH-HAA! And what makes both of you so special might I ask? You do realize that your names are your what do you call those again?” “Cutie marks.” Apple Bloom replied shyly. “Ah yes. Cutie marks. Your cutie marks are literally your names. Does anyone here find that odd?! No? Good. Because I’m going to explain to you why. First, if I’m right about this mythos surrounding the so called cutie mark, then it appears when the pony discovers what makes him or her special right? Then what makes you special then? Do they represent something? Do they mean something literal? Now that I think about it. You, with the tiara. What’s your name?” “Diamond Tiara.” The folly answered terrified. “Isn’t your father called Filthy Rich?” “Y-Yes.” “You see. That is my point right there. Your cutie mark most likely represents something to do with wealth. That also includes you Sliver Spoon. Now you Apple Bloom’s teacher, the one with the trio of smiling flowers. What’s your name?” “Cheerilee.” The pony answered. “ Now obviously your cutie mark doesn’t have a physical or literal meaning right?” “Correct.” “And from what I think, you’re cutie mark represents your wish for your students to bloom and learn cheerfully or something similar to that correct?” “Exactly.” “Now tell me something, do you think Sliver Spoon and Diamond Tiara’s cutie mark represents something similar to your cutie mark or do you think it has something to do with materialism and or economic wealth?” “Honestly, I’d have to say something along side with economic wealth.” Cheerilee responded. “Exactly. The plain fact is that this world or any world, including mine, doesn’t need more successful people. But it desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every shape and form. It needs people, or ponies in this case, who live well in their places. It needs people or ponies of moral courage, willing to join the fight even when all odds are against them, to make the world more habitable and humane. And these needs have very little to do with the success as yours, mine or any culture has defined it.” “Yeah.” A voice said from under a table, “You got a problem with blank flanks?” “The problem is, I mean, she's like, totally not special.” Sliver Spoon responded. “No, it means she's full of potential.” Sweetie Belle also answered from under the table, “Hey Chaos.” “What’s cracking?” he said in silly voice. “It means she could be great at anything. The possibilities are, like, endless.” Scootaloo continued. “She could be a great scientist, or an amazing artist, or a famous writer. She could even be mayor of Ponyville someday.” “Exactly.” Chaos intervened, “The ponies that are “blank flanks” have the potential to become anything they desire. While the ones who already have them don’t get to have that opportunity anymore.” “…and she's not stuck being stuck-up like you two.” Scootaloo finished saying. “My work is done here.” Chaos said out loud, “Can someone please give me a piece of cake so I can be on my way!” Soon after, Apple Bloom ran up to him and gave him the piece of cake that he wanted. “Thank you.” Chaos replied as he left the party. Sweetie Belle stopped him before he completely had left from sight and thanked him for helping her new friend. “Don’t mentioned it. If they ever give you any more trouble, tell me. I’ll tell them off before they can do anything about it.” Chaos responded with a smile. He then left and wasn’t seen for the rest of that day until way later that night when Twilight Sparkle paid him a visit. “It’s admirable what you did for the girls. I’m sure they’re going to remember that day for a long time.” “It’s the least I could do. Besides, they were extremely annoying. Someone had to put them in their place.” Chaos responded. “Sure.” Twilight replied as she rolled her eyes and left. That same night, Twilight wrote in her friendship report of how Chaos inadvertently created the Cutie Mark Crusaders and how his personality had slowly changed over the course of time since his arrival. However back in Chaos’ temporary home, he had begun to feel a strange yet slight burning sensation in his chest and shoulders. Immediately after, the pain became so unbearable that it caused him to fall down onto the floor screaming with agony. He managed to get up and run towards the nearest pond to stop the burning. Not really paying attention to the pain after dunking himself in the pond, three symbols were embedded into his skin as if he were being branded. //-------------------------------------------------------// The magic duel of the century //-------------------------------------------------------// The magic duel of the century Everything seemed fine in Ponyville, Twilight and some her friends were at Fluttershy’s house using some of Fluttershy’s animal friends to perform a trick. “Don’t be scared little friends,” Fluttershy said to her little animal friends, “Twilight is wonderful with Magic. Anything happens to them Twilight, So help me.” “Don’t worry Fluttershy. Twilight’s magic has gotten a lot better since she accidentally crushed me, Chaos, and Applejack with a giant snowball.” '’Tis true.” Chaos added, “And besides Fluttershy, I think it’s you who’s afraid.” After successfully performing it, Rainbow dashed zoomed in and crashed into Twilight telling her that she was needed for an emergency. Once she, Chaos, and Rainbow Dash arrived at the scene, they witnessed a pony using advanced magic spells. Once the hooded pony caught a glimpse of Twilight, she removed her hood to reveal herself as Trixie, bearing a strange necklace. “Uhhh. Who she? And where did she get that necklace? It looks freaking awesome.” Chaos asked awed. “You call that, Great and Powerful?” Rainbow Dash asked mockingly. In turn, Trixie created a spell on Dash, causing one of her wings to enlarge and making her lose balance. “That’s Trixie.” Spike responded, “A pony who had a problem with Twilight a while back. I think it was before you got here Chaos.” “Oh, okay! That makes sense. Because she doesn’t seem familiar at all. By the way Rainbow Dash, next time don’t mock someone who is clearly more powerful then you!” Twilight demanded Trixie to stop harassing her friends but to no avail. Trixie kept using her magic on Twilight’s friends until Twilight asked what she wanted. Immediately, Trixie conjured up a screen that showed the events after her previous defeat. “I even had to take a job on a rock farm just to earn a living! A rock farm!” She yelled. "Hey!” Pinkie Pie interrupted, “You're lucky a rock farm would take the likes of you!” Annoyed by her voice, Trixie decided to remove Pinkie Pie’s mouth. “Okay. I gotta admit, that was cool. Uncalled for, but cool either way.” Chaos said as he got into the conversation, “When I arrived here as well, I too had to work in the rock farm for some time. How do you think I stayed in shape and got these sexy muscles? It’s hard work, yes, but it’s something. Better than nothing right? Now let me get this straight? You wasted most if not all of your gold bits to buy the necklace and that fancy black robe with the hoodie I’m guessing, which instead you could’ve used those bits to restore you wagon, and or get help to actually increase your magic? All of this just for a little revenge that most likely will end in failure? Well that necklace better be worth your gold bits because I see many holes in your plan.” “You dare talk back to the Great and Powerful Trixie?!” She exclaimed as she shot a blast at him. As the blast hit Chaos, his body began to move rapidly, absorbing the entire blast. “Yeah. Forgot to mention that your magic doesn’t affect me. Too bad, so sad. I believe it will be better if you focus on Twilight then me.” Once Twilight agreed to duel, Trixie made the first move as she blasted a cart loaded with two barrels of apples into the air. It fell towards a group of nearby ponies, causing them to scramble away before it hit the ground. However, with all the commotion, a pony tripped and became in danger of being crushed. Chaos quickly ran towards her and threw his body above so that he would get injured instead, but Twilight managed to stop the cart with the barrels just in time. Chaos looked up and quickly grabbed an apple then said, “Hey! No endangering the other ponies! It’s only between you and Twilight! If you do it again I’ll stop this duel and throw you two out myself.” Trixie complied and resumed the duel with Twilight. After a while, Trixie summoned up her two servants, Snips and Snails, and used her magic to make Snips a wailing foal and Snails a withered elderly pony. Twilight and her friends all were shocked by the spell, and even more after she mentioned that only highest level unicorns could use aging spells. Twilight tried to reverse the spell but the power required was far beyond her capabilities at that moment. Trixie promptly banished her from town. Before Spike and her friends could join her, Trixie conjured a large glass dome that sealed off Ponyville. As Twilight’s pony friends walked away from the glass, Chaos walked up to it and smashed the glass, enough to make an opening big enough for him. Seeing an opportunity the ponies once again raced towards the outside but bumped into the glass again as Trixie repaired the damage glass. “It’s okay guys. I’ll figure something out. Take care of each other.” Twilight said sadly. “Keep an eye on Trixie, there is something strange going with her.” Chaos told them, “Can’t put my finger on it though.” He then followed her into the wood and soon were out of sight. A while later, Twilight tried to use her magic to de-age a flower to its budding stage. At first she seemed to have succeeded, but the second her magic was let go, it immediately returned to its natural age. “It’s impossible. How could Trixie know such advanced magic?” She asked herself. “Can’t you send a message to the Princess?” Chaos asked. “Without Spike I can’t.” “Then who else knows or understands strange and powerful magic? I got!” Chaos and Twilight then went to Zecora’s house to ask for help in the situation. Zecora agreed to help out Twilight, but was curious to why Chaos didn’t help out more. “I don’t get involved in situations like that. I only get involved if it’s truly necessary. Like when I helped to protect Shoeshine, but that’s about it. Besides, it’d be unfair since magic doesn’t affect me. So if me and her dueled, I would win in a heartbeat.” Back in Ponyville, Trixie forced the citizens to become her slaves, and conjured bad weather inside the glass dome to instill fear to everyone. She even made all of Twilight friends do vigorous work nonstop making the town hall into her own personal castle. In the forest, Twilight concentrated on levitating three spheres of water around herself while also standing on the surface of a pool. “No noise, no sound, no din, no fuss, must interfere with your focus. Unlearn what you have learned, only then can victory be earned.” Zecora recited while balancing herself on one leg. “Peace and Tranquility.” Chaos repeated to himself while balancing upside-down and levitating six boulders around himself with his telekinetic ability. However, Twilight couldn’t focus well as she couldn’t stop thinking about Trixie's victory. She dropped the water spheres and fell through the pool surface. “Your thinking need an adjust. Total concentration is a must.” Zecora told Twilight. As she got out of the pool, Twilight was awe struck as to see Chaos doing a similar exercise and actually succeeding with little to no effort. “How is it possible for you to lift those boulders when I could barely lift three spheres of water?” She asked. “Because unlike you, I’ve had vigorous training ever since I can remember. I think I might be able to replicate your scenario and succeed in it. Telekinesis is a fairly easier ability to master then my psychic abilities but even still, I’m somewhat of a master with both. My father wanted to see and know the limitations of my powers. However he never got the chance to see it. Not even I know the full extent of my powers. Every time I thought I reached my limit I always seem to surpass it.” Chaos replied. “You truly are amazing.” She said still in awe. “If you say so.” He responded as he let go of the boulders and stood up to join Zecora for some tea. Back in ponyville, the rest of Twilight and Chaos’s friends decided to find more information about the strange necklace that Trixie wore. They searched every book in Twilight’s house for a while but came up empty. Fluttershy then found a book with useful information about it. Spike took the book from her and began reading it, along with the others. “The book says that the wearer of the amulet gains amazing magical power, but it also corrupts the user to evil the more he or she uses it.” Spike explained, “It also mentions that due to a magical lock, the wearer is the only one who can take off the amulet.” With all the information they had gathered, the girls sent a terrified Fluttershy to sneak out and contact Twilight and Chaos. After managing to escape from the glass dome, Fluttershy became petrified at the prospect of looking for Twilight and Chaos but soon found them at Zecora’s hut. She then informed Twilight about the Alicorn Amulet and discussed a plan to beat Trixie at her own game. After figuring out a the meaning of Zecora’s words Twilight wrote a letter and sent Fluttershy accompanied by Chaos back to Ponyville. Later Twilight and Zecora arrived at the outskirts of Ponyville, where Trixie was waiting for them. Twilight then proceeded to accuse Trixie of cheating now that she knew about the Alicorn Amulet and knew that Trixie would deny the accusation. She then revealed that she was given a green amulet that was “way more powerful” then the Alicorn Amulet. At first Trixie scoffed at the claim but Twilight kept baiting her saying that she’ll never see the “totally awesome magic from beyond the Everfree Forest”. Seeing that there was no reply, Twilight and Zecora began to walk away. Unable to stand not knowing, Trixie dispelled the glass dome and teleported them to the place where they fought the last time. “Alright. Let’s get on with the show.” Chaos whispered as everyone got into their place. Wasting no time, Trixie performed her age spell on Snips and Snails, transforming them into foals. Twilight then called up her friends Rarity and Applejack and casted her own age spells which were far superior to Tirxie’s. Completely defeated, Trixie could do nothing but stare on in horror, with no way of making a comeback. As Twilight bragged that her amulet was stronger than Trixie's, Trixie uses her magic to snatch it while taking off the Alicorn Amulet, its evil magic sputtering out, and puts on the green one. Rainbow Dash quickly took the Alicorn Amulet away from Trixie who at first protested but remembered that Twilight’s was “far stronger” then the Alicorn Amulet. “With this Amulet I’ll rule all Of Equestria!” Trixie declared as she shot a beam at Rainbow Dash, hoping that it would make her writhe in agony. But to Trixie’s surprise it only tickled Rainbow Dash. “Stop it! Tha- That tickles!” Rainbow Dash replied laughing. “Tickles?” Trixie asked surprised, “That was supposed to make you writhe in agony! This amulet is defective! Give mine back!” “Sorry.” Rainbow Dahs responded as she dropped off the necklace with Chaos, “This is going back into hiding where it belongs. Make sure it’s hidden well where no one will ever find it.” “I know just the place.” Chaos replied with an eerie grin on his face, “Well. Well. Aren’t you gonna come in handy someday?” “What was that Chaos?” Rainbow asked him confused. “Nothing. Just talking to myself. Again.” He responded shaking his head as he left. As Chaos left to hide the amulet, Twilight then revealed that the amulet Trixie stole from her was merely "one of Zecora's doorstops", just as it fell to the ground and shattered in little pieces. Twilight explains to Trixie that all of her "advanced magic spells" were actually common magic tricks and illusions. “But... how did you do those spells? Nopony can do those spells!” Trixie asked upset. “You're right. Not even me. Zecora taught me so much about magic while I was in exile. She even taught me when not to use it. My magic alone wasn't powerful enough to take on the Alicorn Amulet head to head, so I needed to use a different kind of magic – the magic of friendship. I also knew that the only pony who could get the amulet off your neck was you.” In a flashback, Fluttershy gathers her friends and their families to read out Twilight's plan. In another that takes place in Carousel Boutique, Applejack begins to paint Apple Bloom orange to recreate her filly self as Pinkie Pie paints Big McIntosh and gives him Applejack's cutie mark to produce a stallion version of Applejack. Rarity dyes and combs Sweetie Belle's hair to make her look like Rarity as a filly. Fluttershy adjusts her Rainbow Dash wig in a mirror and exchanges a smile with Granny Smith, who has also been painted and disguised to look like an elderly Applejack. When Twilight was "casting" her spells during the duel, the different ages of Applejack and Rarity hid behind a nearby statue and revealed themselves in turn, creating the illusion of an effortless age spell. When Trixie confusedly inquired about the pony with the ten instruments, Twilight cheerfully stated it was not magic, but rather it was just Pinkie's sheer skill as performer. Moments later, Chaos returned and asked, “What I’d miss? Was there any bloodshed or anything like that?! Please tell me there was?” “Chaos, dear. Can’t you ever ask something subtlety. I mean is it too much to ask?” Rarity asked him annoyed. “I’m a crazy villainous barren with a monocle. I don’t do subtle.” He responded jokingly, “No, but really. What did I miss?” “Nothing much.” Applejack replied, “Twilight was explained to Trixie how she able to perform her magical spells.” “Awesome. By the way, someone tell Twilight that Princess Celestia and the delegate of Saudi Arabia are here.” Chaos said pointing towards the Princess. “Uhhh. Don’t you mean Saddle Arabia Chaos?” Applejack asked confused. “No.” he responded firmly, “In my world it’s called Saudi not Saddle. Also just like Manehattan, in my world it’s called Manhattan. You guys see the difference?” Seeing the confused looks on their faces Chaos dropped the conversation and focused on the show Twilight had planned for the delegates. "Why do I even bother.” He said to himself, “It’s like talking to babies.” Everyone watched in awe as Twilight performed her magi trick, in which she once again levitates Fluttershy's animal friends in an infinity symbol. But as she placed the animals down, she realized that Trixie had been adding fancy fireworks to the background. As Trixie put her cape and hat on, “It's the least I could do.” She replied, “I treated you and your friends so horribly when I was wearing that Alicorn Amulet. I just couldn't control myself. You can forgive me, can't you?” “Hmmm. Sure” Twilight replied. “Oh, good. Don't you think the Great and Apologetic Trixie is the most magnificent humble pony you've ever seen?!” Twilight just smiles and shakes her head. “However, don’t think that we won’t keep an eye on you.” Chaos said. Trixie then left in a puff of smoke. As she cantered away, she tripped and fell, then got up and kept running. “She’s going to be trouble in the future isn’t she?” He asked Twilight. “Maybe so. But we’ll have to wait and see.” She responded as both of them watched Trixie disappear in the distance. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaos’s First Family Reunion in Equestria //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaos’s First Family Reunion in Equestria Not since the re-appearance of the crystal empire and the magical duel between Trixie and Twilight had things actually toned downed for Chaos. Ever since his arrival, Twilight and her friends tried their best to include him in activities that they knew he could do. And since he hadn’t been invited to any special occasion in a while, Applejack decided to invite him to her family reunion. At first Chaos declined but Applejack insisted that he join her so that he could meet new ponies and gain new friendships. In the end, Chaos accepted thinking there was no point in arguing. Chaos arrived at Sweet Apple Acres and found Applejack and Granny Smith taking out family heirlooms from boxes. “Hello anyone home?!” Chaos shouted into the house, “No? Ok. Bye!” “Oh no you don’t!” Applejack yelled as she ran passed him and pushed him to her house, “You are staying right here and attending this here reunion of ours.” "Fine.” Chaos mumbled, “What up Big Mac, Granny, and I can’t forget about you Apple Bloom. So, what’s everyone up to?” “I’m looking over sorting through dozens of RSVPs for our upcoming family reunion.” Apple Bloom replied. “By the way,” Granny smith interrupted, “Who's showin' their muzzle at the reunion?” “Everypony!” Apple Bloom exclaimed. “Everypony? Are you sure?” Granny Smith asked not believing what she heard. “Well, I got RSVPs from Apples from Yonder Hill, Hollow Shades, Galloping Gorge, Foal Mountain, Apples from Fillydelphia, Tall Tale Town, and all the Apples from Appleloosa!” Apple Bloom exclaimed. “God damn!” Chaos cried, “Are you family or a whole country?” “Oh! And how could I forget? Manehattan! Babs is comin'! I get to see my favorite cousin!” Apple Bloom said excitedly. “I think we're gonna need a bigger cider trough.” Granny Smith replied. “Oh I think you’re going to need double if that many ponies are coming here.” Chaos responded. “Whooeee! Looks like the family's grown tenfold since the last reunion! I'm gonna be busier than a worm in a rotten tomater tryin' to get everything ready!” Granny Smith exclaimed. “I have no idea what she just said.” Chaos replied sarcastically. Applejack looked at him with a slight smile across her face then said to her grandmother, “I could always help out.” “Me, too!” Apple Bloom exclaimed. “Eeyup.” Big McIntosh responded. “Ehhh nope. See ya wouldn’t wanna be ya.” Chaos replied as he prepared to leave. “Oh no you don’t!” Applejack responded almost gruffly, “You are going to help us whether you like it or not.” “Do I have a choice?” He asked, knowing the answer. “Nope.” Everyone replied. “Figured.” “Oh, I sure would appreciate that.” Granny Smith responded in gratitude, “Granny's a little rustier in the giddy-up since the last time the Apples all got together.” “You may be a tad old, Granny,” Applejack began, “but you're as feisty and full of spark as ever–” “Who you callin' old?!” Granny Smith asked somewhat angry. “Uh... I just meant... Why don't you let me take over puttin' the reunion together this time 'round? Then all you need to worry about is enjoyin' yourself.” Applejack explained. “Nice save.” Chaos told her, “If you hadn’t saved yourself you would’ve gotten yo ass whopped.” Granny showed Applejack, Chaos and Apple Bloom a photo album with pictures of past reunions, where ponies worked on an old quilt, made apple fritters, ran seven-legged races, and took big family photos. “Hey! That's you, Granny!” Apple Bloom asked excitedly. “Sure is. Apple family's been workin' on that same old quilt since our first reunion.” Granny replied. Apple Bloom tried to hide her laugh once she saw the picture. Instead she ended up giggling a little. However Chaos managed to keep silent his laughter and just smiled. “Well, nopony told me you actually had to knot the end of the thread!” Granny Smith said in her defense. “You've really been workin' on the same quilt since the first reunion?” Applejack asked curiously. “Surely have. I don't think we're ever gonna finish that doggone thing!” Granny responded. After a long time of looking at old photos and Granny Smith reminiscing about when she was young it had already gotten late. As everyone began to head off to bed, Chaos told Applejack that he was going to sleep in the barn for the night. “You sure you wouldn’t like to sleep inside here?” Applejack asked. “Unless your bed is big enough to fit a 6’4 human, I think I’ll sleep in the barn.” Chaos replied. “Alright. If you say so.” Applejack said doubtingly as she handed him a pillow and a thin blanket. See ya in the morning.” He said as he left. That night, Applejack couldn’t fall asleep because she was still anxious about the reunion, and Apple Bloom couldn’t fall asleep because she was excited about hanging out with Babs. Applejack got her second wind, realizing the responsibility that Granny Smith had entrusted her with, and continued brainstorming. Apple Bloom eventually fell asleep on the bed, and Applejack tucked her in, saying the reunion will be worth the wait. “Rise and shine Chaos!” Applejack exclaimed, “We don't have much time!” “Not today mom! Can’t I just sleep until till tomorrow or even next week?” “Chaos!” Applejack yelled. “Hmm, what?! Oh. Is it morning already?” he asked still drossy. Once he finally got up, he joined Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Big McIntosh to harvest apples by bucking trees. He then followed Applejack around helping her collect rolls of fabric from Rarity, jars of honey and glitter from Pinkie Pie, and buckets of rainwater with assistance from Rainbow Dash. He then helped Big McIntosh with chopping logs for firewood while she light a fire under a row of cauldrons of cooking oil with the help of Spike. Chaos managed to put the last of the decorations just as the family arrived on foot and in pony-drawn wagons, carriages, coaches, and zeppelins. “Well holy shit!” Chaos exclaimed, “Now that is a huge extended family. I don’t recall ever meeting my extended family. Oh well.” As the Apple Family began giving each other warm welcomes they all noticed Chaos somewhat hiding from them. Immediately they all began to murmur amongst themselves about who he was and what he was. Moments later, Applejack arrived with a megaphone and said, “My name's Applejack, and I just want to let y'all know that I got a real big day planned for ya! We're gonna start off with an obstacle course for the young'uns, and some fritter makin' and quiltin' for the not-so-young'uns. And there's lots more to come after that! Hope y'all enjoy it! Oh! And this is Chaos. He’s not part of the family but I wanted him to celebrate one with us since he doesn’t have his family here. So I want y’all to treat him well now.” After her little speech, the events she had planned began. Everypony, even Chaos became aware that very little fun was being had at this reunion, except Applejack. Noticing that everyone was exhausted he suggested to Applejack that they take break so that her family actually gets to socialize with each other. Applejack agreed and finally calls for a break. Once she does, Chaos notices that the quilt is practically an acre long, enough fritters have been made to feed all of Ponyville, and everypony is utterly exhausted as he witnessed. “Didn’t you say that you the whole family had a nice relaxing hayride around the farm or something?” He asked her. “You’re right!” Applejack exclaimed, “Alright, everypony! Step right up, take a seat, and leave the drivin' to these stallions! Now, I know y'all've been workin' real hard makin' some awesome memories. And in all of our past reunions, we always had a nice and relaxin' hayride around the farm. Which is why I decided to change things up a bit, and try somethin' just a wee bit more excitin'. So let's get this show on the road! Giddy-up!” Applejack yelled as the stallions started running. “This isn’t what I had in mind!” Chaos exclaimed, “I thought this was supposed to be relaxing? Well so much for that.” “Where in the world does that girl have us headed? The west orchard?” Granny asked. “Eeyup.”  Big McIntosh replied. “It would appear so Granny Smith.” Chaos responded. “What?!” She shouted, “I was jokin'! Why, we haven't tended those fields since all the trees went and got filled up with...” As they got closer to the orchard, Applejack was hiding behind one of them and once the wagon got close enough she bucked one of the trees waking up the various fruit bats living there.  The fruit bats fly over the wagon and form a rainbow across the sky that impressing the family members, even Chaos. But disaster quickly struck when the fruit bats noticed the apples in Auntie Applesauce's hat. They swoop down and cause the wagon to swerve off the road. “Everypony! Jump out!!” Apple Bloom screamed. Luckily everypony managed to get out of the wagon, except for Chaos since he stayed back making sure everypony got off safely. Unfortunately for him, the wagon crashed right into the barn, destroying it. Moments later, Chaos emerged from the ruble relatively uninjured, with only couple of buries and scrapes. Applejack arrived at the scene and realizing what a mess she made, hid her face in teary shame. “Ruined. Everythin' is ruined.” Applejack said crying, “Oh, Granny. I'm so, so sorry.” “Oh, it's alright, child.” Granny responded in a mellow tone. “But it's not alright. Just look at this! The barn and all my plans for the perfect family reunion are completely destroyed!” “Maybe that's a good thing.” Apple Bloom interrupted. “How can that possibly be a good thing?” Apple jack asked somewhat angered. “Applejack,” Granny Smith answered softly, “you had us so caught up in all the doin', we haven't had a second to enjoy the company of the folks we've been doin' it with!” “She has a very valid point there Apple.” Chaos responded, “Almost nobody has had to time to talk, relax, and just be around family. And believe me, I’m all about family. I know I’ve somewhat been a pain for you, because, this is your family not mine and I’ve been trying to not overstep my boundaries. And if there is one thing I know about family is that we all need time to relax and just talk among ourselves. Because just like Granny said you don’t know if the next reunion everyone will be able to come again. And you don’t know what’s going to happen between tomorrow and the next family reuion when everyone will be able to come back. You have to take this opportunity to make memories with your family Applejack.” “The family photo! Guess we can't take it in front of the barn this year... unless... Everypony! I have one more activity!” Applejack yelled. “Applejack...” Granny responded suspicious. “Let her be.” Chaos interrupted, “Trust me when I tell you that this little activity will be remembered for all the right reasons.” Immediately they began working on rebuilding the barn from the ground up. Unlike the previous activities, however, everypony was having fun working and laughing together. Even Chaos was caught smiling and laughing along with the relatives of Applejack. Within no time they successfully managed to finish building the barn, just in time to take the family photo thus ending the reunion on a high note. Soon after, all Applejack’s relatives began saying their goodbyes and heading their way. “Oh, you did it, Applejack! You put on a reunion that everypony will remember!” Granny Smith Said excited. “Just had a couple minor hiccups along the way.” Applejack responded happily. “Yeah, just a couple.” Granny replied with a smile. “One too many.” Chaos said in between coughs. That night, Applejack wrote her friendship report to Princess Celestia. “Dear Princess Celestia, Today I learned a great lesson about family, which, if you think about it, is really the first group of friends you ever make. Turns out that when you're with folks you care about, you don't have to do much to make that time memorable. Even the simplest of activities can take on a whole lotta meanin'! And you'll find that you'll remember the "who" long after you've forgotten the "what". Your humble subject, Applejack. Also, Chaos seems to be opening up more as today I saw him smiling and laughing. Something that he hadn’t done for a while now. He may not be a pony like us but he sure can socialize like one of us. He may be from a different world but even then he still acts as if his home were here.” Once she finished, she began to think about what Chaos had told her earlier and decided to ask him about his own family. “Chaos.” She asked nervously. “Yeah.” He replied. “Do you have a family?” “I don’t get the question?” “What I mean is do you have family from the world you came from? I was just remembering about what you told me earlier about how much you care about family and I just wanted to know.” “Uhhh…I… did. Not anymore. They… passed away long before I became stranded here. Not that I mind, but if I were to go back now, nobody would be waiting for me on the other side. At least not the ones I want.” “I’m… I’m so sorry Chaos. I didn’t know.” “How could you? I never told anyone until today. Honestly Applejack, attending your family reunion actually reminded me on how my family used to be. Somewhat dysfunctional, different and yet all related, yearning to accomplish one thing: be a family. My mom and dad trying to find the “limitations” of my powers, me trying to control them, my 2 brothers and 2 sisters trying to live with a brother with abilities only dreamed of before. Granted, they did take advantage of those abilities whenever they could but honestly, who wouldn’t right. At the end of the day, we all ended up at the same place, eating dinner as a family talking and laughing about our day. I miss it… But at the same time I feel responsible.” “I’m so sorry for what happened to you. I can’t imagine what that must’ve felt like.” “To a point I think you do Applejack. As far as I could see, I never saw your parents at the reunion which makes me think the worst. However I could be wrong and wasn’t paying attention but I’m usually very observant. I also don’t know what you’ve went through but I know that you’ve gone through something similar as me. Probably not as traumatic as mine but yet similar. I wish I were as strong as you, having gone through hardship and still have a positive attitude.” “What did you meant by that you felt responsible?” “When I was still young and barely learning to control my powers, some bad people broke into our home. My parents hid me away but got captured in the process as well as my brothers and sisters. They were killed right in front of me and I all I could do was cower in the corner praying not to be caught. Luckily I wasn’t captured and killed but at the price of losing my entire family. I will cherish the few moments I had with my family but at the same I can’t just put on a smile when I know that I’m not alright. I’m sorry that I’ve been melancholy for the past few, but I’ll work on it. Thank you for listening AppleJack. Telling someone about this makes it feel somewhat better.” “No Problem Chaos. If you ever fell like that again, come talk to us. We’ll listen and work on helping you. You’re a part of us now. Nobody gets left behind.” “Good to know. Until the next time.” Chaos flew back to his home to rest for the night. However, before he went to sleep he checked on his secret possession: the Alicorn Amulet. “Soon, my precious. Soon.” He then hid it once more and went to sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Magical Mystery Cure? //-------------------------------------------------------// The Magical Mystery Cure? Chaos awoke early in the morning as per usual to do his routine exercises by the pond. However, during one of his more difficult exercises he saw his reflection on the pond and noticed that his Cutie marks or Tattoos as he called them had changed positions. The one on his chest moved to his right shoulder, the one on his right moved to the left shoulder and the one on the left moved to his chest. At first he thought it was strange, but didn’t pay attention to it soon after. Once he finished up with his mediation exercise, Chaos headed towards the village. Everything seemed normal as always, ponies setting up shop for the day, buying, selling, etc. As he walked around searching for materials he needed, he caught Twilight passing by and decided to greet her. Nonetheless, once he approached her, both of them were interrupted by a splash of rainwater. They immediately accused Rainbow Dash of playing a prank on them, but once they saw who it really was, they became confused. “Terribly sorry, darlings. I'm afraid I'm... I'm not good with the thundery ones.” Rarity explained. “Rarity, why are you…? Oh no.” Chaos said as he noticed that she had Rainbow Dash’s cutie mark, “Well, get ready folks for a mind fuck of a life time cause this shit is about to get doozy.” Twilight questioned her friend on how her cutie mark had been switched. But Rarity didn’t know what Twilight was talking about. She explained that she was simply doing what she's done since the day her cutie mark first appeared. “If this happened to Rarity, do you think this happened to the others?” Twilight asked Chaos. “I don’t know.” He replied, “We need to check on the others right now. If Rarity has Rainbow Dash’s cutie mark then Rainbow Dash must’ve had her cutie mark switched as well.” Twilight and Chaos head off to Fluttershy's cottage; which, according to Rarity, is actually Rainbow Dash's cottage; to find out what's going on. They find a sullen Rainbow Dash inside and open the cottage door to the sight of dozens of woodland animals running amok. To their surprise, Rainbow Dash had Fluttershy's cutie mark not Rarity’s. They later find Fluttershy at Sugarcube Corner with Pinkie Pie's cutie mark, trying to make ponies laugh. Pinkie Pie, wearing Applejack's mark, trying her best to manage Sweet Apple Acres, and Applejack with Rarity's mark at Carousel Boutique trying to make dresses. Each of Twilight's friends failed miserably at their new tasks and were clearly unhappy. Strangely enough they all said the same thing, that they are just doing what their cutie mark tells them to do. “Okay. This is getting way to strange Twilight. What the hell is going on here?” Chaos asked gruffly. “I don’t know, but whatever happened to them we’ll find out in the Golden Oak library.” Before heading to the library, they made a quick stop at Twilight’s house to pick up Spike. “What’s all the commotion about? Can’t a dragon get some sleep here?” He asked still half awake. “No time to explain Spike. Get up, we’re going to the library.” Twilight responded, “We have to find answers now.” They frantically entered the library and looked for clues on what had happened to their friends. After a while of searching, Twilight remembered that the night before Princess Celestia sent her the spell book of Star Swirl the Bearded. Dear Twilight Sparkle, The spell contained on the last page of this book is Star Swirl the Bearded's secret unfinished masterpiece. He was never able to get it right, and thus abandoned it. I believe you are the only pony who can understand and rewrite it. Princess Celestia From one to another, another to one. A mark of one's destiny singled out alone, fulfilled. “I cast the spell so I could find out what it was, but nothing seemed to happen. But now I know something did happen. The spell has changed the Elements of Harmony! That must be why their cutie marks are all wrong!” She exclaimed. “So just cast a counter-spell to switch them back.” Spike responded. “Oh. There is no counter-spell!” “Why don't you just use that memory spell you used to fix everypony when Discord was here?” “It's not their memories, Spike. It's their true selves that have been altered!” “Zecora's cure for the cutie pox?” “That won't work either...” Spike sighed the said, “Well, maybe it won't be so bad. Maybe our friends will grow to like their new lives.” “No Spike,” Twilight responded saddened, “They're not who they are meant to be anymore. Their destinies are now changed, and it's all my fault.” “Question.” Chaos interrupted, “Could that also explain why my “Cutie Marks” or tattoos as I like to call them, have switched places?” “This is not the time to be joking around Chaos.” Twilight said almost angered. “I’m serious Twilight. Observe.” Chaos replied as he took off his shirt and revealed his three Cutie Marks. Once they saw he wasn’t joking around, Twilight and Spike became astonished and extremely perplexed as to how Chaos obtained them. “H-How is this p-possible? I thought you couldn’t get a Cutie Mark since you aren’t from here.” “Right? I got them a while back but didn’t say anything because… You know what, I don’t even remember why I never said anything. Probably because it wasn’t that big of a deal.” “Do you remember how you got them?” “All I know is that when I got them, it felt as if I was being branded. You know?” “No. Could you explain?” “Well, being branded is a kind of a painful method yet quick way we use to mark animals or even people as our property or even to signify something. For example, we brand horses so tha… Next example! I believe in Africa when a thief is caught for the first time, they are branded in their necks to signify that they’re a thief so that way others can know to keep their distance. Not a very humane way but it’s better than death if you’d ask me.” “Oh, Spike, what have I done?” Twilight said saddened, “I messed with something that I didn’t have extensive knowledge of and now all my friends are miserable.” “Not me.” Chaos interrupted, “However I do concur that we find a way to get our friends back their real cutie marks. But how do we do that I wonder? But if anyone comes up with a way to do it, it’ll be you.” “Aw, come on, Twilight,” Spike intervened, “I agree with Chaos, you’ll figure out a way to fix this. You always do. These are your friends after all.” “You’re right Spike. They mean more to me than anything.” She responded still saddened. “Twilight? You alright?” Chaos and Spike asked. “I got it!” She exclaimed, “I know what to do!” “You do?!” They both asked surprised. “I may not be able to remind them of who they are, but I can show them what they mean to each other. They’ll find the part of themselves that’s been lost so they can help the friend they care about so much! Come on guys!” “Perfect!” Chaos said with excitement, “What do you want me to do?” “I’m going to need you to take care of Applejack and Pinkie Pie while Spike and I take care of the rest of our friends.” Twilight told him. “Alright then. Let’s get to it.” Chaos  said as he headed off. One by one, Twilight, Spike, and Chaos restore the memories and identities of each of their friends by reintroducing them to their correct roles. Now with the help of their restored friends and the Elements of Harmony: Rainbow Dash helped Rarity clear the weather, Rarity helped Applejack make dresses, Applejack helped Pinkie Pie save Sweet Apple Acres, and Pinkie brought smiles back to everyone in Ponyville. “A mark of one's destiny, singled out alone, fulfilled.” Twillight then gasped and said, “Wait a second, that's it! I understand now! I know how to fix the spell!” They all returned to the library, and Twilight with some help from Chaos rewrote the spell's incantation: "From all of us together, together we're friends.” She began. “With the marks of our destinies made one, there is magic without end!" Chaos said ending the spell. Having completed the spell, the Elements of Harmony sparked to life, bathing Chaos and Twilight in their light. Both of them suddenly vanishes into thin air, leaving a scorch mark on the wood floor in the shape and pattern of their cutie marks. Twilight appeared in a strange, ethereal space full of stars and nebulae with Chaos seemingly nowhere to be found. “Hello? Where am I? What is this place?” She asked confused. Moments later, Princess Celestia appears before her, congratulating her on creating a brand new form of magic, “Congratulations, Twilight. I knew you could do it.” “Princess... I don't understand. What did I do?” Twilight asked still confused. “You did something today that's never been done before.” Celestia explained, “Something even a great unicorn like Star Swirl the Bearded was not able to do, because he did not understand friendship like you do. The lessons you've learned here in Ponyville have taught you well. You have proven that you're ready, Twilight.” “Ready? Ready for what?” Twilight asked intrigued. Celestia leads her student down a pathway of stars as dozens of images float by, depicting key moments in Twilight's life and study of magic and friendship. Strangely enough, around that time is when Chaos appeared. “Man,  that is one roller coaster ride I do not want to try again.” He said still sort of dizzy, “Oh hey Twilight. Princess.” “Chaos!? H-How did you get here?!” Princess Celestia asked shocked. “How the hell should I know?” he responded, “All I know is that I got zapped at the same time Twilight did. However, I think I must’ve taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque because I was at an entirely different place for a while.” Before Celestia could speak, a shifting blob of magenta energy emerged from Twilight's chest and began to swirl around her while a pulsing white light grew from her very center. Twilight lifted into the air, the whirls of magenta and white blanket her, and she disappeared in a brilliant flash, like the supernova of a star. As for Chaos, his 3 cutie Marks painfully return to their original place and he too was engulfed with whirls of black energy and a blood red light. In the night sky over Ponyville, a variation of Twilight's cutie mark, now sporting six small white stars instead of five, appear and float down to the ground. Moments later, a similar event happened but with a different symbol appeared and floated towards the ground. Twilight's and Chaos’s friends watch as the first light faded away and Twilight appeared, now a little taller and with a pair of feathered wings. Seconds later, the black energy with blood red light faded away revealing Chaos with a set of armor that unveiled one of his 3 Cutie Marks on the chest plate. “Twilight? Chaos? Is that both of you?” Applejack asked. Once she got of clearer view all of them gasped in awe and shock. “Wha... I-I've never seen anything like it!” Applejack exclaimed. “Ha! Twilight's got wings! Awesome! A new flying buddy!” Rainbow Dash said laughing. “Why, you've become an Alicorn. I didn't even know that was possible.” Rarity responded surprised. “Alicorn and Armor party!” Pinkie Pie screamed happily while blowing a party kazoo. “Wow...” Fluttershy said softly, “You look just like a princess Twilight!” “That's because she is a princess.” Princess Celestia replied. “Huh?” The girls said confused. “Tu peux répéter s'il te plait?! Or to be more dramatic: excusez-moi?!” Chaos replied sarcastically. “Hold on a second!” Pinkie said as she grabbed a drink than immediately spits it out. “A... A princess?” Twilight asked puzzled. “Since you've come to Ponyville, you've displayed the charity, compassion, devotion, integrity, optimism, and of course, the leadership of a true princess.” Celestia explained, “As for you Chaos, I don’t know how you managed to get this strange armor. You don’t even have any Cutie Marks… Wait a minute. It can’t be…” “What?” Chaos asked intrigued. “That symbol on your chest armor, it’s from an element long thought forgotten.” “I don’t follow.” “That symbol represents Will.” “And by Will you mean like "the control of one's impulses and actions" right?” “Correct.” “So, you mean I’m similar to a Green Lantern except I don’t have a ring that harnesses this willpower. Interesting but at the same time ironic.” “Will was the most powerful out of all the elements of Harmony. However, very few over the course of time had that symbol. Fewer and fewer became worthy to bare the Cutie Mark of Will, until it was almost entirely forgotten.  Unlike the other elements, this one in particular could function without the intervention of the other elements, but if all of them were combined, the one who had the Cutie mark of Will could unleash devastating attack by absorbing the other element’s power.” “So basically, I’m a conduit for the elements of Harmony. If they can’t seem to finish off an enemy, then I come in, adsorb their exerting power and unleash it more powerful than before. Hmmm. What the hell, beats being bored almost every day. I’m down.” “However Chaos, I do find it strange that the armor is able to fit you. The armor was designed for only ponies who had the mark. Not only is it strange that after so many years of never appearing on anypony, you come along and bear it along with 3 other ones and also the armor has changed enough so that you can wear it.” “I guess I’m just lucky Princess.” The next day, a princess coronation ceremony was held in Canterlot, in which Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadance preside over. Celestia addressed the assembly of ponies saying, “We are gathered here today in celebration of a momentous occasion. My most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle and her friend Chaos, have done many extraordinary things since they’ve lived in Ponyville. She helped reunite me with my sister, Princess Luna while he has protected this Kingdom from any possible harm. But today, Twilight Sparkle and Chaos have done something extraordinary. She created new magic, proving without a doubt that she is ready to be crowned Equestria's newest princess and he brought back an Element long forgotten, deeming him worthy of the title: the Guardian of Equestria. Fillies and gentlecolts, may I present for the very first time, Princess Twilight Sparkle and Chaos the Guardian of Equetria!” On the castle balcony, Twilight and Chaos wave to a crowd of hundreds of cheering ponies chanting their names. “Say something, Princess.” Celestia prompted her former student. “Oh. Um...” Twilight said clearing her throat, “A little while ago, my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville. She sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about. But now, on a day like today, I can honestly say I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you. Each one of you taught me something about friendship, and for that, I will always be grateful. Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria. Thank you, friends. Thank you, everypony! And you too Chaos!” He just looked at her then chuckled, “Likewise Princess. Likewise.” After her emotional speech, Twilight went to talk to her Brother Shining Armor, who is surprised to him find crying. “Are you crying?” She asked. “Of course not. It's... it's liquid pride. Totally different thing.” He responded. Twilight's friends appear behind her to congratulate her, and she meets the five of them in a group hug. Moments later, her and Chaos take flight and soar towards the sky. “Yes! Everything’s going to be just fine!” She exclaimed. “Damn fucking right Princess. Damn fucking right.” Later that night, Chaos entered his home and went straight towards his hidden possession, “It would seem that I don’t need you after all.” He then prepared to destroy it only to seconds later hide it as his facial expression changed and say, “Then again, you might prove useful. Just in case this Guardian thing doesn’t work out. I can always resort to you. Besides, I sense that stronger foes will emerge. As long as they don’t interfere with me rising again, they’ll all die either way. And this time, I’m staying for good. All I need is more time for that weakling to gain their trust a little bit more. Once he does, I’ll will slaughter them all! They will a bow and die before me!” He screamed and laughed as a bright light that slowly changed from red to dark purplish color shined engulfing him completely thus temporarily ending his depraved laughter. //-------------------------------------------------------// Equestria Girls //-------------------------------------------------------// Equestria Girls “Remind me why we’re here again?” Chaos asked the girls as they disembarked the train. “Don’t joke Chaos.” Rarity replied, “You know exactly what we are here for.” “Fine.” He responded, “Twilight’s summit.” “Hoo-wee!” Applejack exclaimed, “Your very first princess summit. You must be over the moon, Twilight.” “Oh, I am excited.” Twilight answered anxious, “But to be honest, I’m a little nervous, too.” “You're 'nervicited'!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed, “It's like you wanna jump up and down and yell "YAY ME!!" But you also wanna curl up in a teeny-tiny ball and hide at the same time! We've all been there!” “Well, we all know that Fluttershy is there everyday.” Chaos joked. “That is true.” Fluttershy replied softly as always. “You've got no reason to fret, Twi. Everything's gonna be just–” Applejack answered before being cut off by Rarity. “TWILIGHT!” She yelled, “Oh, sorry, darling, but I just realized you're not wearing your crown. You haven't forgotten it back in Ponyville, have you?” “It's in my bag.” Twilight responded, “Just feel a little self-conscious about wearing it. Haven't really gotten accustomed to these yet, either.” “You are a princess now, Twilight.” Rarity replied, “Embrace it! I'm telling you, if I had a crown like that, I would never take it off. Why, I'd sleep in the thing.” “Of course you would Rarity. We all know you would.” Chaos said jokingly. In the throne room, Twilight bumped into an amber-coated Pegasus royal guard that was different than the other royal guards who introduces her as, "her highness, Princess Twilight Sparkle." After that little introduction, she and her friends meet with Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadance. Celestia took notice of how tired Twilight and her friends look from their trip and sent the eight of them off to bed. “Aww. But I’m not sleepy.” Chaos groaned, “Besides, I haven’t had a good sleep ever since that fateful day.” “And that is?” Cadance asked curious. “Hell if I know.” He replied, “I believe it all began when I arrived here. That’s when my sleep pattern and time sleeping changed. I can sleep for a little while and still wake up as if I had a full eight to ten hour sleep.” Some time later, as she tries on her crown, Twilight is once again began feeling unsure of herself wondering what will happen now that she had become a princess. “What's wrong, Twilight?” Spike asked, noticing she seemed unhappy. “I don't know, Spike.” She responded almost melancholy, “I'm just... worried, I guess. Princess Cadance was given the Crystal Empire to rule over. What if, now that I'm a princess, Celestia expects me to lead a kingdom of my own?” “That would be awesome!” Spike exclaimed. “No, it would not! Just because I have this crown and these wings, it doesn't mean I'll be a good leader!” She said saddened. “Aw, sure ya will, Twilight. Now c'mon, you should get some shut-eye. Big day tomorrow!” Spike replied with a sigh. Though Twilight has some trouble trying to keep her wings folded at first, she eventually managed to fall asleep. Later that night, a pony in a cloak snuck into the castle, past the patrol of royal guards and into Twilight and Spike's guest room. Using unicorn magic, the cloaked pony managed to switch Twilight's crown with a fake crown and attempted to flee. However, as the unicorn snuck past Spike, he rolled over in his sleep at the last second, flipping his tail in the way thus causing the thief to trip over it with their back hoof, crashing into the floor and stirring Twilight and Spike from their sleep. Twilight, noticed the crown in the unicorn's saddlebag, and cries, "My crown! She's got my crown! Stop! Thief! She's stolen my crown!" before giving chase. Her shouts wake the other Element bearers as she passed their rooms and they quickly join in the pursuit. Twilight attempted to cut the thief off by teleporting, but the unicorn was just as skilled at teleportation as she was; uncloaked by the spell, the thief is revealed to be a mare. Chaos ran passed the girls and jumped way in front of the mare preparing to strike. Knowing her path was blocked, once she got close to Chaos, she teleported in front of him and continued to flee. However, Twilight tackled the fleeing unicorn to the ground as they reach a chamber in the castle that houses a large mirror. During the struggle, Twilight's crown fell through the mirror. With a wicked grin and a sarcastic, insincere apology, “Sorry it had to be this way... Princess.”  The mystery mare untangles herself from Twilight by teleporting to the mirror and leaped through it, to Twilight and her friends' shock. “Who was that?” Fluttershy asked confused. The next morning, Princess Celestia identified the unicorn as Sunset Shimmer, “A former student of mine.” Celestia explained, “She began her studies with me not long before Twilight. But when she did not get what she wanted as quickly as she liked, she turned cruel and dishonest. I tried to help her, but she eventually decided to abandon her studies and pursue her own path. One that has sadly led to her stealing your crown.” “She replaced Twilight's with this one.” Spike replied as he brought out the fake crown. “I suppose Sunset Shimmer thought you wouldn't notice right away that this was not yours. And by the time you did, it would be too late to go after your crown and Element of Harmony.” Celestia answered. “Then it’s a good thing Twilight woke up when she did. Now enough chit chat and let’s get going.” Chaos insisted, “If we want to stop this Sunset Shimmer, we have to get a move on.” “Agreed. But I don't understand. Where did she go? Why did she take the crown?” Twilight asked. “You'll soon know more about this place than even I do.” Celestia responded as they all walked toward where the giant mirror room was. “This is no ordinary mirror. It is a gateway to another world. A gateway that opens once every thirty moons.” Luna began to explain. “Sparkly!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed as she touched the surface of the mirror before Luna used her magic to move her hoof away. “It has always been kept in the throne room of Canterlot Castle.” Luna began explaining again, “But when Princess Cadance took over the Crystal Empire, we sent it here for her to watch over.” “Then why didn’t you destroy it if it’s that dangerous? Or better yet, place it somewhere where if someone or something came through that portal, it wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone?” Chaos asked. Princess Celestia sighed then said, “I had always hoped that Sunset Shimmer would someday use it to return, to come back to Equestria seeking my guidance. Obviously, this is not what has happened.” “Agreed.” Chaos replied. “Twilight, you must use the mirror to go into this other world and retrieve your crown. Without it, the other Elements of Harmony have no power and Equestria is left without one of its most important means of defense.” Cadance explained. “Your crown does not belong in the place Sunset Shimmer now calls home. And in her possession, your Element of Harmony will no doubt be used to bring harm to the inhabitants of this other realm. They will not have the power to defend themselves.” Luna mentioned. Unfortunately, such a task had its share of complications. “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed, “She's going, we're going with her. Right, girls? Oh, and you too Chaos.” “Mmmmhm.” Chaos groaned. “I'm afraid I can't let you go.” Celestia responded. “What?! Why not?!” Rainbow said confused. “Sending all of you could upset the balance of this alternate world, creating havoc that would make it impossible for Twilight to get the crown back from Sunset Shimmer. This is something Princess Twilight must do alone.” “Well isn’t that an obvious plot device. Wouldn’t it make more sense to say that the rest of the girls stay as defense?” Chaos interrupted. “What?” Everyone asked confused. “Nothing.” He responded, “Then at least send me with her. I’m from a different world and have experience fighting; as well as a few other things. Not only that, it’s better so if in a worst case scenario, someone will be there to help her.” “I-I’m not sure you should.” Celestia replied. “Think of it this way, there is little to no knowledge about this other realm that you or anyone here know of. What’s to say that the environment or something of the sorts make it hard to impossible for Twilight to retrieve her crown. Take it from someone who has traveled from one realm to another. It wouldn’t hurt to have back-up. Also technically, I’m not supposed to be here in this realm, so, if I managed to arrive here and not upset the balance of this world whatsoever, then I’m pretty sure that I won’t have any effect in that world either. Unlike the girls. Because technically, I’m also not supposed to be there either.” “I see what you mean, Chaos.” Celestia responded, “Very well. You may accompany Twilight on her journey and help her in any way you deem possible.” “As you wish.” Chaos replied. “Time is of the essence.” Princess Luna remarked, “On the third day, when the moon reaches its peak in the night sky, the gateway will close. And once it does, it will be another thirty moons before you will be able to use it to return.” “After you.” Chaos remarked. With some encouragement from her friends, Twilight stepped through the gateway. Only moments later, an anxious Spike follows after her. “Spike, NO!” The girls exclaimed as they tried to stop Spike with no avail. Dizzy from the journey across worlds, Twilight slowly opened her eyes, surprised to find Spike—now a small purple-furred dog—standing before her. “Huh? Spike! You're not supposed to– Spike? Are you a... dog?” She asked perplexed. “I... think so.” He replied, “But I have no idea what you are! Wait, now that I think about it, you look a lot like Chaos.” Twilight then noticed she now had finger, hands and legs, all similar to Chaos, as Spike had mentioned. Twilight screamed in horror as she wasn’t familiar with her form. “Twilight, you have to get it together!” Spike yelled. After a few heavy breaths and a sigh she asked, “What... does the rest of me look like?” “Um, like you. Only not you. Your muzzle's really small.” Spike replied. “My muzzle?!” She yelled touching her nose and realizing she didn’t have her muzzle anymore. Twilight was about to panic once again but Spike stopped her and managed to calm her down. Seconds later, Chaos appeared from the gateway prepared to attack. However, once he noticed that there was no imminent danger, he lightened up and slowly began to realize where he was. “Well isn’t this just peachy!” He exclaimed happily, “This is unreal.” He feel to his knees almost in tears before noticing twilight and Spike close by. “What the fuck?!” He screamed once seeing how his friends looked like. “Chaos!” She screamed, “What am I?!” “You’re a human.” He replied, “Intriguing. But then again it is rather obvious. Of course you’re not going to stay in your pony form if you are coming to a human world. Cause let me tell you straight out, we humans can kinda be major assholes.” “Great!” Spike exclaimed, “You can help us out in this world after all.” “And the Princesses thought I shouldn’t have come. Wish they could see me now.” “So, where are we?” Spike asked. “Can’t tell you exactly, but as far as I know we haven’t caught the attention of anyone so, that’s good start.” “We need to find my crown as soon as possible and get back there. I suggest we start searching the castle first.” Twilight point towards the building in front of her. Chaos turned around and said, “That ain’t no castle. We must be at a school of some sort. I’m gonna guess high school.” As they headed to the school, Chaos quickly noticed that Twilight was still running on all fours. “What in the name of Quetzalcoatl are you doing?” He asked extremely confused, “You’re a human now. Act like one.” “Yeah, I don't think that's how the new you is supposed to…” Spike mentioned as they passed a person walking his dog. However, Twilight struggled to get used to her new body, learning to walk upright and such. Once Twilight shakenly managed to get to the school’s door’s she tried using her magic to open it with no success. "My magic! It isn't working!” Twilight screamed. “Makes sense. You don't exactly have your horn.” Spike responded. “What?!” She yelled. “Please don’t scream again.” Chaos begged, “I could already hear your screams of horror when I was traveling through the portal. Also we really need to find you a mirror.” He then pushed the door open and they all entered the empty school. Once inside, Twilight went to a nearby glass window display case and asked, “What do ya think, Spike? Other artifacts she's stolen from Equestria?” “Doubtful.” Chaos interrupted, “If this anything like my world, then these are simple pictures and trophies. No magic whatsoever.” A few moments later, the school bell rang thus causing dozens of teenagers to pour into the hallway. Amongst the confusion, Chaos and Twilight got separated for a while.  An overwhelmed Twilight stumbled her way out of the crowd and bumped into a teenage boy with spiky blue hair who helped her to her feet. As Twilight watched him walk off, it became apparent to her and Spike that they needed to quickly learn about this new world. As for Chaos, he wandered off noticing that the students were multi-colored. This can’t be right, can it? Multi-colored people? This is pure anarchy. Do they have radiation poisoning or something? That could somewhat explain why they’re multi-colored. However, with this many people having that condition is a bit farfetched. Unless… Unless, this is a parallel world to Equestria. In that, case it makes much more sense that many of the students I’ve seen are humanoid versions like the ones from Equestria. Back with Twilight, she began to grow more accustomed to her human body. As she passed by faces both new and familiar to her, she listened in on a conversation between two girls: one is being considerably cruel and verbally abusive to the other. Twilight stepped in to defend the girl being harassed, "How dare you speak to her that way!” “What did you say?” The cruel girl asked surprised. “I said, “How dare you speak to her that way!” Twilight repeated. “You must be new here." The cruel girl replied, "I can speak to anyone any way I want.” The girl Twilight stood up for introduced herself as Fluttershy, much to Twilight's surprise. Before she could dwell on this, Fluttershy noticed Spike and started to fawn over him in the exact same manner her pony counterpart did when they first arrived to Ponyville. Twilight asked Fluttershy about the crown and she told her that she had indeed found the crown while handing out flyers for Canterlot's animal shelter on the front lawn that morning, the crown came through the portal and struck the back of her head. Not wanting anything to happen to it, she then turned it over to Principal Celestia. With this information, Twilight and Spike head to the principal's office, not before bumping into Chaos who had a look of horror and shock. “Twilight, we must leave now!” he exclaimed, “All of these students have radiation poisoning! We’re all gonna die!” He then ran off and out of the building yelling and screaming making no sense whatsoever. Twilight entered Principal Celestia's office and asks her about the crown while keeping Spike hidden in her backpack on Fluttershy's advice. She quickly found out that she couldn’t get it back as soon as she hopped. The principle told her that she needed to run for something called the Fall Formal Dance and win in order to get her crown. With few to no alternatives, Twilight decided to run for Princess of the Fall Formal to get her crown back. However, she just has no idea how to do so. Later that day during lunch, Twilight meet up with Fluttershy and let her know of her decision to run for Princess of the Fall Formal. The news came as a shock to Fluttershy, who warned Twilight that Sunset made life miserable for those who opposed her. It came to more of a shock to not only Fluttershy but everyone in the cafeteria once Chaos entered the room. A few seconds ago, the room was filled with laughter and chatter but once Chaos entered, everybody went silent. “What’s cracking Twilight?” He asked jokingly. “Hey, Chaos. Where have you been all this time?” Twilight asked curiously. “Let’s just say that I’m beginning to familiarize myself with this world more and more. It may not be the future I had in mind but technology here has proven to be very useful.” He responded cryptically, “What’s up with her?” “Oh! Sorry.” She replied, “Fluttershy this is my friend Ch…” “Ch-Ch-Chaos…” Fluttershy stuttered before passing out before them. Luckily Chaos caught her before she hit the ground. He carried her to the nearest seat and sat her there. Seconds later, Fluttershy began regaining consciousness causing Twilight and Chaos to ask if she was alright. Once letting them know she was fine, she whispered to Twilight, “Please tell me I’m hallucinating. Please tell me I’m not seeing Chaos standing in front of me.” “Why do you say that?” Twilight asked confused. “Umm, well, Chaos isn’t supposed to be here anymore.” " What do you mean by th-” Chaos interrupted their conversation as he pointed out that everyone was staring at them. “Ummm, no. They’re staring at you Chaos.” Fluttershy said in a hushed voice. “Why would they be... You know what, we can finish this some other time. Twilight, you have news about your crown?” Chaos asked. “Yes!” Twilight exclaimed, “In order to get my crown back, I’m going to run for Princess of the Fall Formal.” "Can’t you just take it back? I mean it is your isn’t it?” Chaos asked. “I think it’s better to blend in. That’s why I’m gonna sign up for the Fall Formal.” “That’s a bad idea.” Fluttershy replied. “Why?” Chaos and Twilight asked perplexed. “Sunset Shimmer wants to be Fall Formal Princess, and when she wants something, she gets it! She'll make life awful for anyone who stands in her way. Just ask the girl who ran against her for Princess of the Spring Fling.” Fluttershy explained. “I have to try.” Twilight responded with determination. “Agreed.” “Oh, I don't think you understand.” Fluttershy responded, “You'd have to convince everyone here to vote for you instead of her: the athletes, the fashionistas, the dramas, the eco-kids, the techies, the rockers...” “Oh that won’t be a problem.” Chaos declared confident, “Now before you ask, let’s just say that I can be very persuasive when I want to be.” “So, uh, where would I find the head of the party planning committee?” Twilight asked with a small nervous giggle. After lunch they headed towards the school’s gym to find the party planner. “Fluttershy said she'd probably be in here.” Twilight told Spike and Chaos. There, they meet another familiar—and at the same time unfamiliar—face: Pinkie Pie. While the peppy girl was more than happy to put Twilight's name on the ballot, she's became less than thrilled to know Fluttershy was involved. As the two of them talked, in enters another face Twilight, Spike and Chaos recognized: Applejack, delivering cases of fizzy apple cider with the help of Big McIntosh. Chaos offered to help but Applejack and Pinkie Pie stood there with their mouths open as if they had seen a ghost or something. However, Twilight quickly diverted the attention from Chaos back to her, leaving no time for either Applejack or Pinkie Pie to explain why they were surprised to see Chaos. Upon learning that Twilight was running against Sunset Shimmer for Princess, Applejack warned that Sunset is not to be trusted, commenting that the only girl in the school who's even less trustworthy was Rainbow Dash. Twilight took her leave of the auditorium, and Sunset Shimmer entered just moments later with Snips and Snails. She spared no harsh words regarding the decorations and choice of refreshments, inciting Applejack's anger. Sunset later found them and confronted Twilight in a barely lit, dead end hallway and gave her a verbal lashing, scoffing at her efforts to run for Princess of the Fall Formal, outright insulting and belittling her, and even threatening Spike's safety. “You want to be a princess here? Please. You don't know the first thing about fitting in.” Sunset said to her. However, Chaos intervened and made even harsher and deadlier threats at Sunset if she even dared to hurt Twilight or Spike. At first, he thought he had gone too far as he saw her acting the same way Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie did once they saw him. “This can’t be real! You’re not real!” She exclaimed almost terrified. “Seriously.” He said unamused, “This again. Every time I seemingly enter a room everyone just looks at me like some freak or something. Do you know something I don’t? If so, spill it or I swear to you that i will look for you, I will find you, I will make you tell me what you are hiding and then I will kill you. If for some strange reason you took the last part seriously, don’t, it was a joke.” Snips and Snails screamed terrified as they dragged Sunset away. After calming herself down, Sunset ordered Snips and Snails to follow Twilight and bring her something she can use to discredit Twilight in the eyes of the student body while keeping away from Chaos. With the helpful suggestion of Chaos, Twilight decided to do research about the school to better familiarize herself with it. Much to her delight, Canterlot High had an extensive library. Twilight's attempts at using a computer were inept and awkward, as she made a mess of library books; handling a number of them by mouth rather than by hand; and she has trouble figuring out how to use a copy machine. Unbeknownst to her, Snips and Snails were recording her every embarrassing move via camera phone. To their surprise however, Chaos had no problem with using both the computer and the copy machine. Once having enough footage to give to Sunset, they left for the day. That evening, as the library neared closing time, it occurs to Twilight that she hadn't thought about where she, Chaos and Spike were going to sleep. Luckily, Chaos with help from Spike had thought ahead and assembled a bed out of books for both Twilight and Spike to sleep on, having discovered a rarely used section tucked away on the second floor of the library. “Aren’t you gonna sleep too Chaos?” Spike asked as he saw him leaving. “Nah.” He replied, “Besides, you already know that I don’t sleep much during that night. I can’t sleep now anyways. I have something I have to do. You guys go on.” “If you say so.” Twilight responded as he left the building. Meanwhile, Twilight's research into the school yielded a yearbook. Inside, she found an old photo of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and shockingly enough of  Chaos with the girls also smiling for the picture; something that the Chaos they knew usually didn’t do. Twilight and Spike began debating why Chaos appeared in that picture. Eventually Spike noticed that he looked way younger in the picture while the Chaos that has been with them was much older and that he had no previous knowledge of the mirror before. Also, at the bottom of the picture it read: In Memory of Chaos, for saving the school. A wonderful student and classmate, but above all, a Hero. Although the girls appeared to be friends in the photo, they didn't seem to be friends now. Spike reminded Twilight that she couldn’t focus on why the girls were no longer friends: making friends and beating Sunset Shimmer came first. The next morning, Twilight was ready to make a good first impression on her fellow students, but she found that everyone she passed in the hallway was laughing at her. “Why is everybody looking at me funny?” She asked Spike. He didn’t get time to respond as Rarity suddenly pulled her into an empty classroom and dresses her in a new outfit and wig, trying to disguise her. Moments later, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie enter the room. “There you are, Twilight.” Applejack remarked, I've been lookin' all over for ya!” “So much for the disguise.” Rarity replied in defeat. “Me too.” Fluttershy added. “Me three!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed, “I like your new look!” The girls then show Twilight a video on Pinkie’s computer that Sunset Shimmer had posted online, showing Twilight struggling to adapt to her human form and otherwise embarrassing herself on camera. Soon after, the girls begin arguing amongst themselves. Twilight broke up the argument and with the yearbook photo, reminded the four that they were all friends once causing the girls to fondly remember the photo as being at the school's Freshman Fair. Immediately, Chaos kicked in the door and shouted, “Everyone freeze! Put yo’ hands in the air, and shake it like you just don’t care…  Okay, honestly that went a lot better in my head.” Once again, all of the girls, except for Twilight, were shocked, amazed, and somewhat terrified seeing Chaos standing before them. “Oh! Pff. Kch. Ts! This must be a dream. I mu…” Rarity said as she lost consciousness. Luckily Chaos used his telekinetic abilities to make sure she didn’t hit the ground. “Again with this bullcrap! Will someone please tell me why all of you are looking at me as if I’m some type of ghost or something? It’s getting pretty old this shenanigan.” “You don’t remember Chaos?” Fluttershy asked. “Remember what?” he responded angered. “Chaos… you died freshman year.” Applejack replied saddened. “What?!” Twilight and Chaos exclaimed. “A few days after the Freshman Fair two students brought guns to the school and used them while everyone was inside the cafeteria during the lunch period. You managed to take down one of them but got shot twice in the back.” Fluttershy explained, “You didn’t stay down. The one who shot you took me and Rairty hostage and threatened to shoot us if you didn’t surrender.” “What happened?” he asked curious. “You saw through his bluff and headed straight for him, causing you to get shot three times in the chest, but not before slamming his head onto the ground. By the time the paramedics and the police arrived, you had already lost too much blood and you were pronounced dead. Rarity and I tried to keep you awake for as long as possible but we didn’t succeed.” “That’s a mighty fine story you have created but I don’t believe you." “It’s the truth.” Applejack replied, “Show’m Pinke.” Pinkie Pie quickly open up her laptop and found the video of the news report of that incident. She then pressed play on the video. “This is XXXXX reporting to you live from just outside the grounds of Canterlot High. Just a few hours ago, two students brought hand guns to this school with the intent of using them; as for their reason, it’s still yet unknown. As you can see behind me there are still police cars, fire trucks, and paramedics still here making sure there are no more threats and injured. Unfortunately, a casualty happened, while trying to save two of his peers, he was shot five times in total. Two shots from one of the assailant’s and three from the other or so we’ve been told. This brave boy’s name was Chaos XXXXX. A socially awkward boy that never brought attention and always kept to himself. From what we gathered he was a good student with above average grades and an even more above average intellect. It seemed that few to none of the students knew who he was besides his name…until today. While everyone was scared for their life, he stood up to the captors and managed to knock them out before they could hurt anyone else. However, we received reports that this boy didn’t survive due to the extensive wounds and profuse bleeding from the gunshots. Wait, I’m getting something. What is that Henshaw? We now have some details about the two assailant’s. It would seem that they received extensive injuries from their fight with him. However, there seems to be no reports that mention Chaos using a weapon or anything from the sorts. This all seems to be a tragic as well as a strange turn of events. We’ll keep you updated, but for now back to you XXXXX.” The then video ended. “So, let me get this straight, I’m supposed to be dead because some idiots shot me? Chaos asked, “You do know that I can heal right. Unless it’s a shot to the head or heart. If that were the case then yeah, there is no way I’m coming back from that.” “We all feel sorry for what happened that day Chaos. We all wish we could’ve done something to help you.” Applejack said melancholy. “There is nothing you or anyone of you could’ve done.” Chaos replied in reassurance, “That was my decision or his decision, whatever. The point is, it was a terrifying situation for everyone. If any of you had helped, there’s a good possibility that you wouldn’t be here right now. No matter how you look at it, none of you are to blame or are at fault.” “So you’re not here to take revenge us.” Fluttershy asked timidly. “Come on, don’t tell me you believe in that supernatural stuff. Then again, I have seen very strange shit go down. So technically it might not be too far off. But to answer your question, no. I’m not some super natural being bent on getting revenge you all. All I am here to do is help Twilight get her crown back by any means necessary. That’s all.” The girls sighed in relief once they realized he wasn’t a threat. “I know this is going to sound stupid and all. But, how did meet i you guys if you don’t mind me asking?  And furthermore how did I get to be in that photo? Since the reporter in the video basically said that I had no friends whatsoever.” “Oh that’s easy.” Pinkie Pie quickly answered, “You saw either Fluttershy or Rarity having trouble with a game at the fair and you offered to help. After that, one of them introduced you to the rest of us and you basically hung out with us for that day basically winning every game that was there. Seriously, you even beat Rainbow Dash at some of the games where she was unbeatable. I could swear that no matter how hard anyone tried, no one could beat you. The reason we got our picture taken was because everyone heard of your winning streak and they wanted your photo for the yearbook. At first they wanted just you but you argued until you got all of us to be in the picture.” “That completely explains it. Now with that out of the way, we can focus now on how to help Twilight get her crown back.” Twilight told them that she believed that Sunset Shimmer somehow broke them apart, but the girls claimed it wasn't Sunset Shimmer that dismantled the four's friendship. However a series of text messages and e-mails sent between them ruined school events they had put together. They quickly put two and two together and realize, none of them had sent these alleged messages. At Twilight's encouragement, Applejack approached Rainbow Dash on the school soccer pitch, where the two work out their misunderstandings and reconciled.  Rainbow Dash agreed to help Twilight become Princess of the Fall Formal on one condition: beat her in a game of one-on-one. Unfortunately, despite Twilight's best effort throughout, her lack of athleticism and inexperience with sports lead to her thoroughly losing the match. However, once Chaos challenged Rainbow to a match, he completely obliterated her at her own game. After every goal he would shout, “Goal!” until he ran out of air. He mostly won due to the fact Rainbow was the perplexed and somewhat terrified finding out that he was still alive. Quickly noticing that Rainbow wasn’t trying he explained everything immediately snapping her out. After her defeat from Chaos, Rainbow Dash agreed to help regardless, explaining that what she was actually doing was testing Twilight's "heart and determination", two qualities that the Fall Formal Princess should have, and Twilight proved that she has both. The next day, the girls all rallied up at the cafeteria causing the students to rouse up with school spirit and pride. However Sunset Shimmer had other plans. She tried to get Twilight in trouble of something she had no part of. A suspicious Flash Sentry, the boy who Twilight kept bumping into, eavesdropped on the conversation then slipped away, determined to get to the truth knowing that Sunset was actually lying. Eventually he found the evidence in the library’s trash can. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances Twilight didn’t get the chance to properly thank Flash for helping her out. She bursted out of the vice principal's office, leaving behind a disappointed Flash Sentry. Twilight dashed into the boutique where her friends were picking out their formal wear and ducked behind a changing room curtain, where she took stock of the situation. “Everything okay in there?” Rarity asked. “Yes!” Twilight answered, “Only it's not okay. It's not okay at all! If I don't get my crown tonight, I won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons! Oh, what are we gonna do Spike?” “Hmm. We tell them the truth. Let them know what's really at stake if you don't get the crown tonight. They'll help us figure somethin' out.” Spike told her. “But what if they won't? What if when they find out how different I really am...?” “Twilight, these girls rallied around you 'cause they saw what was in your heart. They aren't gonna feel any differently about you when they find out you're a pony princess in Equestria. Besides, look at Chaos’ situation. He’s from a different world entirely as well and we didn’t feel or see him any different. Now if we could accept him, don’t you think these girls will accept you for who you are?” Twilight reluctantly began telling her friends the truth, but to Twilight, Chaos and Spike's complete and utter shock, Pinkie guessed it. "You're from an alternate world and you're a pony princess there, and the crown actually has a magical element embedded in it that helps power up other magical elements and without it, they don't work anymore, and you need them to help protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world, and you won't be able to get back for like, really, really long time!” Pinkie exclaimed. “Holy mother fucking shit!” Chaos blurted out, “Down to the smallest detail. Except that you forgot to add me to that picture. Remember? I’m with her.” The others seemed skeptical at this, until Spike spoke up to confirm it and that he was actually a dragon, shocking everyone except Fluttershy, who became thrilled to finally meet a talking animal. To make sure there was no doubt, Chaos used his telekinetic abilities to make any nearby objects float around him for a few seconds before returning them to their places, shocking the girls even more. Slowly, the girls all begin accepting the truth and almost immediately bombarded Chaos and Twilight with questions about where they came from. After having answered most of their questions, Twilight and Chaos urged them to hurry back to the auditorium to redecorate and clean up the mess Snips and Snails did. Once they all arrived at the auditorium, they were amazed as to how bad the place looked. “I simply cannot believe they did all this!” Rarity exclaimed. “It’s Snips and Snails,” Chaos replied, “did you really expect anything else?” “If I only had some kind of... party cannon that could decorate everything super fast!” Pinkie said saddened. “I know it seems impossible, but, maybe if we all work together?” Twilight suggested. “Now that's the kinda can-do spirit I'm lookin' for in a Fall Formal Princess! Let's do it, y'all!” Applejack cheered. After a few minutes of the gang cleaning the giant mess, more and more students began helping out. Eventually the renovations were finished, causing a great impression on Principal Celestia to witness the students' efforts that she didn’t postpone the Fall Formal. As everyone left to get ready for the dance, Celestia reminded the students to vote for the Fall Formal Princess as they left the gym, and a number of students casted their ballot for Twilight. In a gym equipment storage room, Sunset Shimmer chewed out Snips and Snails for going overboard in their trashing of the auditorium, as she needs the Formal to go on that night just as much as Twilight does. However, she didn’t notice Chaos had entered the room waiting for her to stop talking. “Well that’s all good and dandy but we need to talk.” Chaos remarked surprising Sunset, “You two get out of here before I choke a bitch.” “W-What do you want?” She asked terrified. “It’s pretty easy actually.” He replied, “All you have to do is let Twilight get her crown back so that she can go back to Equestria. That’s all. However, if you do go through with your plan; which secretly I’m hoping you do; you’ll have to suffer the consequences.” “A-And they are?” “Oh you know. Having your arms and legs crushed into dust, tortured, that one method where you put a cloth over someone’s face and pour endless amounts of water over their face to simulate drowning, I think it’s called waterboarding, and things like that.” Noticing that he had almost scared her lifeless he told her, “If you haven’t realized it yet, that last part was a joke. Far be it an extreme one but a joke none the less, or was it? Oh and by the way, no I’m not him back from the dead or anything like that. I’m from Equestria just like Twilight. Well technically, I’m from a human world fairly similar to this one but also extremely different. And no, I’m not a pony in that world, I’m human in both this world and that world. Why you ask? Hell if I know. I stopped caring a few months after I arrived there. Now with that out of the way, see you at the formal. Ta-ta. Hasta la vista, baby.” He then left to join the girls to get ready. The girls accompanied by Chaos returned to the boutique to get themselves ready for the Formal later that evening while Chaos went to a nearby tuxedo rental store to receive his order. The girls changed into fancier shoes, dresses and put on jewelry almost reminiscent of their Cutie Marks. Moments later, Chaos entered the boutique wearing an all-black suit with white shirt and black bow-tie and black shinny shoes. “The name is Death, Chaos Death.” Chaos said trying to do his James Bond impersonation. Later, they all arrived at the school in a limousine.  Inside the auditorium, the girls and the rest of the attendees except for Chaos danced to Flash Sentry and his band's live performance. Twilight noticed Sunset Shimmer was nowhere to be seen and asked Rainbow Dash about it, to which Rainbow replied that she wasn’t there because she most likely knew Twilight won the Fall Formal crown. After the band finishes their song, Principals Celestia and Luna walked on stage to announce the Princess of the Fall Formal. After some words of praise to the students for their hard work, Principal Celestia announces the winner who without a doubt was Twilight Sparkle. As Principal Celestia congratulated Twilight and placed the Fall Formal crown on her head, Snips and Snails snuck into the auditorium through a back door knocked Chaos out and kidnapped Spike. Spike screams out for Twilight, and she ran out after the duo, followed quickly by her friends. Snips and Snails took Spike into the school courtyard near the statue, where Sunset Shimmer was waiting and brandishing a sledgehammer ready to destroy the portal back to Equestria. “That's close enough!” Sunset Shimmer yelled. “Don't hurt him!” Twilight begged. “Oh, I wouldn't dream of it.” She replied, “I'm not a monster, Twilight. Snips, Snails let him go. You don't belong here Twilight. Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria tonight. Or keep it and never go home. Tick-tock, Twilight. We haven't got all night. The portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour. So, what's your answer?” “No.” Twilight said firmly. What!? Equestria! Your friends! Lost to you forever! Don't you see what I'm about to do to the portal?!” Sunset asked confused. “Or how about you let us go back to Equestria and I don’t hurt you!” Chaos exclaimed, “You choose.” “I got this Chaos.” Twilight replied. “Alrighty then.” He responded. “I've seen what you've been able to do here without magic. Equestria will find a way to survive without my Element of Harmony. This place might not, if I allow it to fall into your hands. So go ahead. Destroy the portal. You are not getting this crown!” “Also,” Chaos interrupted, “and I don’t mean to interrupt, I can easily take that hammer away from you if I wanted. But I’m letting you choose. You can let me and her pass or you can get seriously hurt. Besides, if one of us were to return, then Equestria has somewhat more of a chance to survive at least.” “Fine… You win.” Sunset said in defeat as she dropped the sledgehammer.  The girls immediately surround them and commend them on their selflessness. Overwhelmed by hearing the flurry of kind words directed towards Twilight and Chaos, Sunset lost her temper and charged at Twilight, tackling her and knocking the crown off her head. Over the next few minutes, the crown kept trading hand until Twilight, in a moment of absentmindedness, accidentally tossed her crown into to Sunset’s hands. “Well great Twilight!” Chaos yelled sarcastically, “You done fucked up now.” Without wasting any time, Sunset Shimmer immediately placed the crown on her head thus a magical aura surrounded her and lifted her up into the air. Everyone watched in horror as Sunset became surrounded by a dark aura and transformed into a demonic creature, with red skin, fiery hair, wings, and a tail. “ Does anyone else think that she looks kinda stupid?!” Chaos asked loudly, “No?! Guess it’s just me.” “ Spoiler alert: I was bluffing when I said I was going to destroy the portal.”Sunset explanined, “I don't want to rule this pathetic little high school; I want Equestria! And with my own little teenage army behind me, I am going to get it!” “No, you're not!” Twilight shouted. “And over my dead body!” Chaos exclaimed, “Apparently for the second time!” “Oh, please! What exactly do you two think you're going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have nothing!” “They have us!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “Step aside!” Sunset screamed, “Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans one too many times already! She needs to be dealt with.” She then hurled a fireball at Twilight to take her out. However, just before the spell hit, Twilight's friends huddle around her and Chaos stood in front of them so that he would take most if not all of the damage. Sunset cackles at her apparent victory but became shocked to find her attack had no effect. A pink force field surrounded Twilight and her friends protecting them while Chaos absorbed with his hands Sunset's attack. “What!?” She screamed baffled, “How is that possible?!” “Easy.” Chaos replied, “I’m impervious to magic however I can absorb it as well as any other forms of energy. And yet I’m part of the elements of harmony. The element of Will if you must know.” “The magic contained in my Element was able to unite with those that helped create it! Honesty! Kindness! Laughter! Generosity! Loyalty! Will! Magic! Together with a crown, they create a power beyond anything you could imagine, but it is a power you don't have the ability to control! The crown may be upon your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all: the magic of friendship!” An aura from the crown engulfed Twilight and her friends in light, linking each of them to their Element of Harmony and giving them pony-like ears, wings, and hair extensions resembling tails; except for Chaos, who got an identical looking armor like the one from Equestria with his Cutie Mark on the chest plate. However, before the girls could unleash their full power, Sunset Shimmer hurled another fireball at the girls knocking Rainbow Dash and Applejack away from the group. Realizing that his friends needed more time, Chaos flew straight towards Sunset and began fighting her. Both Sunset and Chaos threw punches and kicks at each other with all their might. Having little to no knowledge on hand to hand combat, Sunset became overwhelmed by Chaos’ superior martial arts. Without breaking a sweat, he managed to get her pinned and urged for Twilight to proceed. Hesitating at first, Twilight eventually got all the girls together causing the magic surrounding them to explode, causing a double-helical rainbow to shoot out. Nevertheless, Chaos had a strange feeling that caused him to let go of Sunset and put himself right in front of the rainbow thus absorbing it and unleashing it out as a far more powerful blast that engulfed Sunset Shimmer in a rainbow-colored tornado that stripped her of her power and released the students of her mind control. To make sure that she was down for sure, Chaos managed to see through the bright light, grab Sunset by her throat, and slammed her towards the ground creating a giant crater.  As the bright light dissipated, the students congregated at the front of the school. Spike ran out to Twilight, who was lying on the ground with her friends. Twilight picked him up and hugs him while her friends approach her. The seven of them notice a large crater in the ground, with Sunset Shimmer, who had returned to normal, lying at the bottom of it, and Chaos standing at the very edge of the crater. “Did you do that?” She asked him. “A necessary precaution.” He replied. “What happened to your armor?” She asked puzzled noticing most of the chest plate bearing nasty dents on it. “She may not know martial arts but she sure can punch. I’ll give her that.” He responded. “You will never rule in Equestria.” Twilight told Sunset, “Any power you may have had in this world is gone. Tonight, you've shown everyone who you really are. You've shown them what is in your heart.” “I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't know there was another way.” Sunset replied crying. “The magic of friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria. It's everywhere. You can seek it out, or you can forever be alone. The choice is yours.” “But... But all I've ever done since being here is drive everyone apart. I don't know the first thing about friendship.” “Unfortunately it’s too late for you Sunset Shimmer. I have to bring you back to Equestria to pay for you crimes done here and in Equestria.” “Hold on Twilight.” Chaos interrupted, “Once you and Spike had already passed through the portal, Celestia told me to help you get your crown back and stop her by any means necessary and bring her back if possible, however, she did say it wasn’t necessary if we thought she would be off better here than in Equestria. It’s not because she deserves it but because it’s the right thing to do. I want to give her a chance so that if she falls back to her old ways she doesn’t have any excuse whatsoever. What do you say?” “Please! Please!” Sunset begged, “Let me stay! I swear I’ll change!” “Fine.”, Twilight replied, “So be it.” “Just know Sunset Shimmer that if you go back to your evil ways there will be no one else to blame but yourself.” Chaos told her. “But I don't know the first thing about friendship.” She responded, “Who do I go to, to find out?” “I bet they can teach you.” Twilight said directing Sunset’s attention to her friends. “I believe this belongs to you.” Principla Celestia remarked, “A true princess in any world leads not by forcing others to bow before her, but by inspiring others to stand with her. We have all seen that you are capable of just that. I hope you see it too, Princess Twilight. Now as for you Chaos, we’re going to have a little talk later about your little stunt.” “Now I know what you’re thinking principal,” Chaos interrupted, “but no, the Chaos from here and me are different people. Granted we are similar in some ways but I am not him. I’m with Twilight and also from her world. Technically. I would explain everything but we’d be here for a while. Besides does thou not see this awesome armor apparently made of pure magic? Or at least that is what they told me. And not only that, as far as I or anyone here know the Chaos from this world didn’t have any abilities and I do.” “What do you mean?” Vice Principal Luna asked curiously, “By abilities you mean magic?” “Not really. What I mean by that is abilities like telekinesis, psychic, limb regeneration, or even super strength. I have those abilities but magic seems to have no effect on me.” “So how were you able to help Twilight if magic doesn’t affect you?” Principal Celestia asked. “The blast that I absorbed was essentially made of energy.” He explained, “And since I absorb energy that is exactly what I did. Furthermore, I also have the ability to unleash a similar blast that is far more powerful than the original.” After a while of explaining and some arguing, Chaos convinced the Principal and Vice Principal that he was not from that world. By that time, Twilight had already danced a one or two songs with Flash Sentry. One of the girls’ managed to bring him with the rest of the gang to take a group photo. After the photo, Chaos urged Twilight that they should leave as they only had about half an hour left before the portal closed. He also mentioned that he had to pick up a few things before they left. By the time Twilight hugged her friends good-bye just outside the school near the portal, Chaos arrived flying above directing three trucks that arrived with lots of equipment. “ Chaos, What’s all this?” Twilight asked very surprised. “These are some essentials that are going to benefit me as I continue to live in Equestria. I want to study this futuristic advance technology so that I can utilize it to make work there easier if possible.” “Advanced!?” Rarity exclaimed confused, “But this is simply just regular technology dear. Nothing advanced or futuristic about it.” “You do know that I was born in 1965 and I ended up in that other world around 1985, or did I forget to mention that?” “Wait, What?!” Pinkie Pie and the rest of the girls shouted. “To put that into perspective: The current form of the computer before I left was the 1984 Macintosh 128K. And no I’m not talking about your brother Apple jack. Very few people had it since it was so expensive at the time. Do you now see why this would seem futuristic to me? However, I have learned a thing or two about your technology while our two day stay here. But I want to learn more. So that’s why I found all this tech lying around a nearby junkyard or scrap yard, whatever you call it. True, it might not the current or newest forms of today’s technology but it will have to do.” “So let me get this straight, you were born in 1965 and disappeared from your world in 1985?” Rainbow inquired. “So, then that would make you…” Applejack replied. “Correct. Basically If I had aged like any other human I would be around my late 40’s or early 50’s. This should be more than enough proof that I am not the same Chaos who died in this world a few years ago. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have three trucks filled to the brim with equipment and stuff I need.” Chaos then quickly began pushing off his things into the portal. The first two trucks were filled with computer monitors, pc’s, keyboards, phones, Geiger counters, VHS, DVD players, old/broken gaming consoles, chipped/ broken combat knives, etc. And last one was filled with books that showed how to repair certain objects he had gathered, how to learn a certain type of martial art, and the others were mostly encyclopedia’s from his year to the current year or scientific books that tried to explain many theories/hypothesis of a wide variety, recently or already found since his absence. As he nearly finished, Twilight hugged her friends one last time. “You'll look out for her, won't you?” She asked them. “Of course we will.” Rarity replied, “Although I do expect some sort of apology for last spring's debacle.” “I have a feeling she'll be handing out a lot of apologies.” Twilight replied. “Nah.” Chaos said jokingly from afar, “She only has to apologize at least a hundred thousand times. No biggie." "We better get going.” Spike told Twilight. “I know we've only been friends for a short time, but I'm gonna miss all of you so much.” Twilight said to her friends just before entering the portal. Once Twilight and Spike walked through Chaos stopped to say one more thing, “Hey Sunet Shimmer! Yippie ki yay motherf…” Something pulled Chaos into the portal before he could finish his sentence. Seconds later, the moon rose to its peak to cover over the center star and with a flash of moonlight, the portal closed behind him, causing Twilight's friends to lose their pony ears, wings, and added hair. Pinkie Pie attempted to follow Chaos, Twilight, and Spike through the portal, only to smack into a solid surface. “Oh, bummer!” She exclaimed. Back in Equestria, Chaos and Twilight's friends and the princesses were waiting patiently for their return. Twilight emerged through the portal, teetering on her hind legs as she once again became a quadruped, and dropped down to all four hooves. Shortly after, Spike came through the portal.  Seconds later, Chaos emerged yelling, “Lucy, I’m home!” Their friends run up to greet them, congratulating them on their return and the retrieval of Twilight’s crown. “Oye, where’s my stuff that I brought from the other side?!” “Oh that junk?” Apple Jack replied, “We moved it to another room. We figured that was your doing.” “And you guessed correctly.” Chaos said with a slight accent, “Don’t get me wrong, I like being here and all. But sometime I have to indulge myself every once in while with things humans would usually do. Like reading that book about the wonders and aspirations of modern day Physics or how space exploration has advanced since 1985.” As the girls and Chaos walked through the castle, they began bombarding them with questions about the other world. And once again, without watching where she was going, Twilight bumped into the same royal guard she had done on the day of her arrival. "We've got to stop bumping into each other like this.” The guard replied as he walked away. “And that is the last we shall ever see you again.” Chaos said jokingly. Twilight's friends immediately picked up that Twilight may have a crush on him and playfully teased her about. “Don't be ridiculous.” Twilight remarked, “I don't even know him. He just...” “Totally reminds you of a guy you met in the other world who played guitar, was in a band, and helped prove you didn't destroy all the decorations for a big dance, so you could still run for princess of the big dance, and then asked you to dance at that dance?! Right?” Pinkie Pie said after taking in a deep breathe. “How did you know that?” Twilight asked extremely surprised. “Just a hunch.” Pinkie replied with a smile. “You know if I wasn’t used to your antics Pinkie Pie and that fact that this situation already happened once already. I would say that you getting everything correct down to the smallest detail is utterly and eerily creepy. But you know that I wouldn’t say that.” Chaos responded sarcastically. //-------------------------------------------------------// Is Chaos real or a myth? //-------------------------------------------------------// Is Chaos real or a myth? Chaos thought being the Guardian would bring new challenges and new foes to fight. However, everything seemed to stay relatively the same. For the longest time, nothing really exciting happened around him. Granted he did fight a few enemies but nothing that would really give him the challenge he desired. In the end, he would usually hang out with the girls and help out in any way he could. This time he was at Fluttershy’s cottage helping her teach a pair of baby chicks to fly. Without warning, Rainbow Dash swooped in repeating “four months” in excitement and asked Fluttershy and Chaos if they were excited. “Oh, my. I, uh, I could be excited. I don't really know. I wasn't really think—” Fluttershy replied as nervous as always. “Come on, you gotta be excited!” “Oh, well, I guess maybe I'm a little kinda sort of excited.” “I thought so!” “Yeah... So, um, why am I excited?” “Because the next Daring Do book is coming out exactly four months from today! That's how exciting it is! So what amazing, incredible, awesome adventure do you think Daring Do will have in her next book, huh?” “Quick question,” Chaos interrupted, “How come I’ve never heard of this Daring Do you are so excited about Rainbow Dash?” However, due to all her excitement, she crashed into a tree and didn’t hear his question. “Oh, I'm not so sure she's gonna last another four months” Fluttershy said while thinking to herself. “Tell me about it.” Chaos replied, “The only time I acted like that, was when I heard about a movie called Gojira. Ever since I can remember I’ve always been a big fan of giant monsters and things like that.” A few days later, Rainbow Dash made her way towards the Golden Oak Library where the rest of her friends and Chaos are celebrating "National Random Holiday Party Day". Immediately she wondered why no one invited her; Applejack explained that she had invited her personally, but she was too distracted reading a Daring Do book. “Yeah, well, in three months and twenty six more days, I'll be able to read the next one.” Rainbow Dash said happily. “Oh, haven't you heard? The release of the next book got pushed another two months.” Twilight replied. “Two more months?!” Rainbow exclaimed, “I've been waiting so long already! I don't think I can take another two months! I'll never make it!” “Yeah. I can vouch for that...” Fluttershy responded. “I as well.” Chaos replied in agreement, “She was practically jumping all over the place.” What's more, Rainbow Dash got slightly frustrated at Twilight for knowing more about the series and its publishing than she did. Twilight then reminded Rainbow that she introduced her to the series in the first place, adding that the author of the Daring Do books, A.K. Yearling, is her favorite author and she knows just about everything about her. Rainbow Dash asked Twilight if she knew where A.K. Yearling lived. She concluded that A.K. Yearling delayed the book due to everyday distractions, and proposed helping the author. Twilight had reservations at first about violating the author's privacy, but slowly came around to the idea. As the entire group traveled to a remote part of Equestria, Twilight was still uneasy about intruding upon A.K. Yearling's privacy. Her unease was interrupted when they come across a cottage in the middle of a forest. The seven friends find the residence to be a complete mess and begin to fear for A.K. Yearling's well-being; Rainbow begins to fear for the status of the next Daring Do book. Suddenly, A.K. Yearling herself enters the house, wondering what Twilight and her friends have done to it. The six ponies and Chaos denied having anything to do with the mess as Yearling starts searching for something but every once in while kept turning to look back at Chaos. She locates a book with gold binding and a horseshoe on the cover, undoing a sort of lock on it to reveal a large golden ring. Yearling sighed in relief, saying, "It's safe." before tucking the ring into her coat. After that, Yearling addressed Chaos and asked him who he was and what he was doing in her home. “My name is Chaos. And as you can see, I’m with Twilight and her friends. We barely just arrived. The house was trampled like this when we got here.” “That’s impossible.” Yearling said with hints of suspicion. “Uhh… What is? Us trampling your house?” Chaos asked. “You can’t be Chaos because Chaos doesn’t exsist.” Yearling replied. “Says who?!” he exclaimed. “I do. From what I’ve heard is that this so called Chaos is a hideous monster that roams around from here and there terrorizing everypony. Don’t you think it’s a bit farfetched? I mean a two legged creature unlike anything ever seen suddenly appearing and no explanation to how it got here and why?” “I think you’ve been out here in seclusion for far too long. It has clouded your judgment and you’re a little bit biased. Also, haven’t you heard of the many things I’ve done? Like help the girls defeating Discord, fighting Queen Chrysalis, and recently become the so called “Guardian of Equestria. Now before you continue, ever heard of the multiverse?” “Okay, that’s enough. Twilight please tell your friend in that ridiculous costume to take it off. It’s not fooling anyone. Chaos is just a character or the figment of somepony’s wild imagination. He isn’t real.” “Keep telling yourself that. It’s going to work wonders.” “Great! Maybe now would be a good time for me to ask her how we can help move the new book along a little faster. Chop chop!” Rainbow Dash said interrupting the somewhat heated moment between Yearling and Chaos. “Rainbow Dash, a minute please! A.K. Yearling has made it pretty clear that she wants to be left alone. We need to respect her wishes!”  Twilight explained as she pulled her aside. “You should tell that to those guys.” Pinkie Pie said as she called attention to the three stallions sneaking into Yearling's house from a second-story window. Back inside Yearling’s house, she and Chaos once again began to argue about if he was real or not. Unknown to them, the 3 stallions had already surrounded them and prepared to confront them. “Who the fuck are these assholes?!” Chaos exclaimed. A.K. Yearling rolled eyes then she threw her coat, hat, and glasses at them. The author then donned a pith helmet and outstretched her wings. “Don’t get in my way.” She told him. “Hey. Fine by me.” Chaos replied. As Daring Do fend off the stallions and kept the gold ring away from them, Twilight and her friends watched in awe from outside. “A.K. Yearling and Daring Do are one and the same! My mind is officially blown!” Twilight said excitedly. “Aw, come on, I knew it all along.” Rainbow blurted out. Accidentally, Rainbow Dash distracts Daring momentarily as she calls out her name, allowing the stallions to subdue her, and causing the gold ring to fall at the hooves of another stallion—Dr. Caballeron, who is another adversary of Daring's. “Many thanks, Daring Do. As you've probably surmised, our earlier search for this treasure was... unsuccessful. So kind of you to find it for us.” Dr. Caballeron said as he twirled the ring with his hoof. “Give it back, Caballeron!”She demanded gruntingly. “Okay enough of this.” Chaos said interrupting the intense moment, “She’s hurt and now I’m gonna step in. Now either give that ring thing back or I’ll be forced to hurt you.” Dr. Caballeron and his two henchponies laughed hysterically as to what he said. “Forgive me for that, but you are a pony that’s in some kind of ridiculous costume. You can’t hurt us. Get out of our way before you hurt yourself.” Dr. Caballeron explained. “Why does everyone now think I’m not real? You’d think that getting recognized by the Princesses more ponies would at least know I’m real. However to the point. On the contrary,” Chaos replied, “I am very much real as I will demonstrate here.” Chaos then grabbed a metallic object and easily crushed it causing his hand to bleed profusely. “Now would a pony in costume be able to this? Go ahead, try to crush it.” He tossed the object to them causing the stallions to back away slowly. “N-No matter. You are wounded and will not be able to fight.” Caballeron responded somewhat afraid. “Oh I wouldn’t worry about that.” Chaos replied as he showed them his hand already beginning to heal. “Again, I repeat, let her go or I will do to you what I did to that metal object.” Chaos declared gruffly. “Not so fast.” Dr. Caballeron responded, “If you take one more step I will order my henchponies to cause more harm to Daring Do.” “Fine. Let her go and leave. But know this isn’t over. I will hunt you down and make you suffer.” Chaos said menacingly. “So let me guess: Ahuizotl has put you up to this?” Daring asked as Caballeron began leaving, “You're stealing the ring to give to him so his hold on the Fortress of Talacon will be good for eight centuries as foretold by prophecy!” “Close, but... no.” Caballeron replied, “I'm going to sell this to him, make a bundle, and retire from archaeology in splendor.” “Caballeron, you fool! You're dooming the valley to eight centuries of unrelenting heat!” Daring exclaimed. “To the market, henchponies!” Dr. Caballeron shouted as he and his henchponies left. As soon as they were out of the house, Chaos went and tried to help Daring whose leg was in a splint. “You alright.” He asked concerned. “I’m fine.” She replied gruffly, “I had everything under control. If it hadn’t been for you and that other pony I wouldn’t be in this situation.” “You’re welcome by the way.” Moments later, the girls entered the house and Rainbow Dash asked, “Are you okay?” Daring Do slapped Rainbow’s hoof and said, “I got this.” “Um, she was just trying to help, Ms. Do.” Fluttershy replied softly. “Daring Do doesn't need help. She handles her business herself.” “Yeah? And how’s that working out for ya?” Chaos said sarcastically. Daring Do brushed them off and flew after Caballeron with her leg in a splint. What followed next was a back-and-forth between Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Chaos about the events of Daring Do's books and whether or not to help her in her current adventure. They come conclusion that the ring Dr. Caballeron now had was the last in a set of rings needed to complete a dark ritual and must be retrieved for safekeeping. Twilight decideed that the seven of them need a well thought-out plan, but Rainbow Dash and Chaos soared off before they can make such a plan. “Yada yada yada. Too much talk, more action.” He said to himself. “Come on, come on, come on... Bingo! Here I come, Daring Do! To join an adventure with the greatest, bravest, coolest, most incredible hero I could ever–“ She let out a slight whimper, “Okay, maybe I just need a sec... Just another adventure. No big deal.” Rainbow told herself as she smacked herself across the face, “Get a grip! I got this. Though, doing it alongside Daring Do... Wow! Maybe I could get my picture taken with her, or an autograph–” She smacked herself again, “There you go again. She's just a pony like any other pony. A pony who stops entire armies of bad guys with nothing more than her bare hooves, and an attitude, and—!” Another smack across her face, “Ow... That's starting to hurt.” “Would you stop debating and just do it Rainbow.” Chaos told her, “We’re wasting precious time here.” A few seconds later, Daring Do jumped from out of the bushes and attacked them. She managed to take down Rainbow Dash but once she went for Chaos, she unknowingly made a terrible mistake. Daring jumped on top of him and tried blinding him with her hat, however, Chaos anticipated her moves and grabbed her tail throwing her towards the nearest tree. Then he smashed her twice onto the ground and began to choke her while pinning her to the ground. Rainbow Dash saw what was happening and screamed, “Chaos, Stop! You’re hurting her!” “Do that again, and I will end you!” Chaos exclaimed as he released his grip from her neck and backed away. “Oh, it's just you.” Daring Do said in between coughs, “I’ve never seen anyone with your amount of strength. The closest one that I can think of is Ahuizotl. But even then, your strength is far greater than his. How is that possible?” “You’d be surprised to what I can do.” He replied. Daring Do brushed them off and went on ahead. “Wait, don't go!” Rainbow shouted, “I am suuuuuch a huge fan.” Daring just sighed and moved on. “Wait, wait, wait! Let me help you!” Rainbow insisted, “I promise I could be a huge, huge help if you just give me a chance.” “I. Work. Alone.” Daring responded. “But why won't you let me team up with you just this once?!” “My work always involves secrets. And since you never know who you can trust, it's best never to trust anypony.” “Fundamentally true but at the same time kinda sad don’t you think?” Chaos replied, “Besides, just because you don’t trust some doesn’t mean you can’t trust us.” “Look, I don't have time to argue-” “Neither do we. Let's go!” Rainbow Dash then flew ahead of Daring. Daring Do sighed then said under her breath, “Can't believe I'm even talking to them...” Despite Daring's attempts to get rid of her, Rainbow Dash became determined to help. As night fell, Rainbow Dash, Daring Do and Chaos find where Dr. Caballeron and his henchponies set up camp. Immediately Daring Do began making a disguise for herself by squashing her helmet flat and covering her face with leaves to make a beard. She then approached Caballeron and attempted to buy the ring from him with a large bag of bits. Caballeron was prepared to sell, but Ahuizotl suddenly stormed in and demands the ring. “Caballeron!” Ahuizotl shouted, “The ring!” However, Caballeron made off with the bits and left the ring behind. Daring Do managed to snatch the ring, revealing herself to Ahuizotl. “The ring, Daring Do! Give it to me!” Ahuizotl screamed. “Now, Ahuizotl, you know I love you, but I can't give you the ring 'til I've properly proposed.” Daring's joked causing Chaos and rainbow to snicker. “I’ll admit that was funny.” Chaos whispered to Rainbow Dash. Ahuizotl just laughed and said, “Interesting, because my friends here have a proposal of their own.”  He then snapped his fingers calling in his army of jungle cats. “Bring it!” Daring Do exclaimed. She fights the animals off while Rainbow Dash and Chaos watched from the sidelines. However, seeing Daring Do's hat on the ground, Rainbow picks it up and calls out to her. “Daring Do! I've got your hat! You want me to toss it? Daring Do! Daring Do!” Rainbow yelled. “Rainbow!” Chaos whispered loudly, “Get back here! You’re going to distract her like you did back at her home.”  Her shouting got Ahuizotl's attention, and he grabbed her with his tail. Daring sees Rainbow Dash in danger and is once again distracted long enough for her to be subdued. “And there it is again.” Chaos said to himself, “I was telling her. But noooo! She had to get the hat and call out to her yet again. Do it once, shame on her. Do it twice, now she’s that obnoxious fan that doesn’t know when to hush it and stay on the sidelines!” As Chaos prepared to join in the fight, Daring Do looked at him and shook her head. Ahuizotl caught the look she was making and looked towards her direction but saw nothing. Luckily, Chaos managed to hide before anyone saw him. “Don't worry, Daring Do! I'll come help you!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Ahuizotl threw her aside as his jungle cats took Daring Do away. “Don't bother!” She responded, “I'd say you've already helped plenty.” “What have I done?” Rainbow said to herself. A while later, Twilight and the others caught up with Chaos and a sullen Rainbow Dash, who informed them that her idol Daring Do and the ring had been captured by Ahuizotl. “Dash, I'm sure whatever you did was an honest mistake.” Twilight said in an effort to comfort her friend. “Whatever.” Rainbow replied saddened, “Let's just go home.” “We can't go back now! Applejack replied, “Looks a mite like she needs our help more than ever!” “Trying to help is how I got in this mess in the first place.” Rainbow responded, “You were right, Twilight. We should've stayed out of this.” “Look, there is more going on here than meets the eye. In every Daring Do book, there always is! We can't turn our backs on her!” “She doesn't want my help, Twilight.” “Perhaps. But she might need it anyway.” “No. My hero's way better off without me.” “No. No. No. No. No. Listen here Rainbow Dash, Twilight is right, she might not want your help but she needs it.” Chaos explained, “Yes, you did get her captured but now it’s time to correct that wrong. Look at it this way, if we don’t help her out, it might just be the end of this world and the end of the Daring Do books. Do you want that on your conscious? Knowing you had the means to help her but you were too afraid to do it?” “Of course not!” Rainbow replied, “But I messed everything up.” “That doesn’t matter right now. All that matters is that we save her and help her out in any way we can. And no getting in the way help, but actual help. We fight Ahuizotl if we have to. It's alright to look up to Daring Do, we all need an idol to look up to, but you've put her so high up on a pedestal, you can't even see your own worth anymore! She's in the fortress most likely about to die at the hands of her most deadliest enemy, and we're here, and none of us wouldn't be who we are if we didn't go in to help her! And especially neither would you! She may have worked alone before, but not today. Today, she’s getting our help whether she wants it or not. So, I ask you this, are you with us, or not?” Somewhere beneath the Fortress of Talacon, Daring Do is restrained to a stone wall and over a pool of piranhas. Before taking leave with the ring, Ahuizotl pulled on a rope lever, causing the chamber to fill with more water. As the piranhas below snap their teeth, Daring Do managed to free her hooves from the wall. Before her weighted restraints pull her down, Rainbow Dash swooped in to her rescue. “Gotcha!” Rainbow exclaimed with a grunt, “You can flap too, y'know!” “I was just about to save myself, y'know.” Daring replied. “Sure you were.” Chaos responded. “I just thought you might need this.” Rainbow said as she slid Daring’s hat to her. “Have I mentioned yet that I work alone?” Daring asked somewhat annoyed. “And have we mentioned we don’t care?” Chaos responded sarcastically. In the fortress' central chamber, Ahuizotl prepared to use the ring to complete the ritual when Twilight and her friends appear. “Drop the ring, Ahui... whatever your name is!” Applejack exclaimed. They snatch the ring away and fend off the attempts of Ahuizotl and his henchponies to retrieve it. As the henchponies chase Twilight and company up and down the chamber, Rainbow Dash, Chaos and Daring Do sneak toward the altar. “Come with me!” Daring told them, “Help me get all these rings off! If we can remove the giant ring at the bottom, the whole fortress will collapse!” Immediately the three of them began removing the rings one by one. “W-Was this your plan all along?” Rainbow asked confused. “I had to find a way to get into the fortress.” Daring replied. “You did it on purpose?! But– but I thought—” “Less talk, more pulling!” Chaos exclaimed. “I didn't count on how heavy this ring would be, though... Guess having a little help can be handy sometimes.” “And you said you didn’t need our help. Especially from someone who “isn’t real” and “just a character or the figment of somepony’s wild imagination.” Chaos replied jokingly. By the time Ahuizotl retrieved the ring from Twilight and her friends, Rainbow Dash, Chaos and Daring Do succeeded in removing all of the rings except for the last and heaviest one. Daring Do and Rainbow Dash tried to carry the ring by themselves but to no avail. Thinking quickly, Chaos grabbed hold of the ring and pulled on it breaking the stone pillar and causing the fortress's collapse. However, it wasn’t doing it fast enough. “When all else fails, smash!” Chaos shouted as he began punching the ground beneath him. “Ponies! Run! This place is goin' down!” Rainbow yelled to her friends. The ponies make their escape from the crumbling fortress, and amidst the rubble, Ahuizotl emerged and yelled, “Daring Do! I will have my revenge!” “Shut the fuck up!” Chaos’s muffled voice said from amidst the rubble, “No one cares!” He then emerged with a few bruises and scratches. Once Ahuizotl caught a glimpse of Chaos, he cowered in fear. “This can’t be, you’re not supposed to be real!” He screamed, “It’s just a disguise!” “Oh really?” Chaos responded with an evil grin on his face, “Could a pony in a disguise do this?” Chaos then proceeded to torture and beat Ahuizotl till he got tired. Before leaving, Chaos threw a severely beaten Ahuizotl as far away as he could. “If I ever see your ugly ass face again, next time you won’t be so lucky!” Chaos shouted, “Also that was for ruining my favorite shirt!”  Once finished, he reunited with the girls who were waiting for him at the end of the dirt road. Noticing the scrapes, bruises, and especially the three Cutie Marks on him, Daring Do began to doubt and question herself. “T-Those Cutie Marks can’t be real right?” She asked nervously, “You or somepony must’ve painted them on you right?" “Nope. They’re as real as the one you have or any of the girls have. I prefer to call them tattoos though.” He answered unfazed. “B-But how? How is that possible?” “Shit if I know. All I know is that these Marks appeared on me and not to long after I proclaimed the Guardian of Equetria.” “Fine! I’ll say it!” “What are you talking about?” “I’m sorry, okay! I’m sorry that I said you didn’t exist. I just never thought something like this could happen. It sounded too remarkable to actually be real.” “Ohhh. You meant that. Don’t worry about it. Believe me you aren’t the first one to say that me being here is impossible. Or something along those lines. Granted, I was angry at first but then I realized that I’m a human living in a world with talking ponies, of course there’s going to be some that will deny my existence. It’s all part of the “unique species living in a different world” package. Besides, I’m not the only remarkable one around here. I mean, you and Yearling being the same person. I know Twilight and Rainbow’s mind were blown when they found out. And probably mine if i was a fan.” “So what do we do with the ring you have Daring Do?” Twilight asked. “I don’t know.” Daring replied, “I’m thinking we should destroy it. Just case.” “Allow me.” Chaos said as he took the ring from her, “Watch the master.” Using his telekinetic abilities he broke it in millions of miniscule shards and threw them away. “Thank you, all of you.” Daring said as Rainbow Dash hugged her, “Could never have done this without you, Rainbow Dash. You too Chaos. I've got a book to finish!” “Better be good.” Chaos joked. "You know it.” She replied as she flew towards her house. That night, Rainbow Dash began writing her friendship lesson in her friends' journal, “Just had the coolest adventure with the coolest pony ever. Came this close to blowing it because I got so wrapped up in how awesome she was, I almost forgot about how awesome I was. Good thing I didn't, 'cause it gave me a chance to show her how important it is to put your trust in somepony else.” A mailpony arrived knocking at her home with a package from A.K. Yearling: an advance copy of the new book, Daring Do and the Ring of Destiny. Rainbow opened the package and became overjoyed to see herself on the front cover alongside Daring Do and a strange figure that seemed rather weird until she realized it was standing up on two legs and didn’t look like anything she had seen or read before. Thus concluding that it was Chaos in the background as to not draw too much attention from her and Daring Do. //-------------------------------------------------------// Is there a difference between Halloween and Nightmare Night? //-------------------------------------------------------// Is there a difference between Halloween and Nightmare Night? As time went on, Chaos mostly spent his days alone after his minor help in returning a creature known as Discord back into stone. However, he couldn’t shake off what Discord had told him, “Sooner or later your true self will emerge. As your name clearly states, you’ll cause chaos and destruction in all of Equestria and its neighbors. Too bad I won’t be able to see it though, but I will be able to hear it. The thing that you hide from and try to subdue everyday will eventually emerge. When it does, you won’t be able to stop its destruction. Obviously you aren’t like the others, but that only makes you more vulnerable to what’s about to come. Mark my words, you are going to be my greatest prank and achievement I’ve ever done.” Those words kept repeating inside his mind causing him to doubt himself and keep his distance from the others. His paranoia became so strong that he had to meet with Zecora the Zebra and see if she knew anything or see if Discord had done anything to him. However, to his surprise she told him that she saw nothing wrong with him and that Discord was most likely trying to mess with his mind. “Since you are different from us, it’s most likely that he wants you to doubt yourself and probably go back to your old ways. But I do find it strange that he mentioned that your “true self” was going to return. Do you have any idea what that means?” “No!” Chaos replied gruffly, “I-I mean, no. I have no idea.” “Then I see nothing wrong.” Zecora replied, “There seems to be nothing wrong with you. I think Discord was trying to play tricks with your mind. But, didn’t you say that you were able to see right through his illusions and tricks.” “Yeah. So?” Chaos asked confused. “So that means that you weren’t affected by his magic!” “Again. So?” “You also said that when you arrived here that you were taken into Princesses Celestia and Luna’s castle. And when you woke up you broke easily from their binding spell right?” “True.” “This is amazing!” “What?! Tell me!” “Chaos. As far as you and I know magic doesn’t affect you!  You’re invulnerable to our magic. Not only were you able to break free from a seemingly unbreakable binding spell but also see past through Discord’s tricks. I think you’re magic tolerant to not only regular magic but also dark magic as well.” “Hmmm. Now that you mention it, you are right. Wow! Can’t believe that I didn’t see that coming. But thank you. After all the commotion with him and stuff, he really got me rattled up.” “No problem. If you even need help again don’t be shy to ask.” “Oh believe me, I won’t.” “By the way, are you going to the Nightmare night tonight?” “The mahumana what now?” “Nightmare night. It’s a day in which foals dress up in costumes and go door-to-door collecting candy.” “So you mean it’s like Halloween? It is literally what you just said, except it’s called differently. You know if I didn’t know any better, I’d say that someone has been to my world and changed the names of some of the most memorable or recognizable celebrations and whatnot of the huge diverse cultures in the world. But sure I’ll be there.” Chaos then left still thinking about what Discord said to him. However in the end, he really didn't give it a second thought and went to the event that night. On his way, he paid a visit to twilight who was wearing a strange costume. “Who the hell are supposed to be? Gandalf the grey? Or Gandalf the White as he is later known as?” Chaos asked with excitement. “What are you talking about Chaos?” Twilight asked confused, “Are those characters from your world?” “Yeah. Actually from a series of books called the Lord of the Rings. He’s one of the main characters that dies and is reborn as Gandalf the White. Yadayadayada cool fantasy shit happens.” He answered. “You have books where you are from?! She asked. “Of course.” Chaos replied, “What? Did you honestly think that I would sit around doing nothing all day? I’ve told you before that your world and mine are fairly similar.” “It’s still hard to believe that. I have to see it with my own eyes. Here we have a series of books called Lord of the Reins. ” “Oh believe me, you will. Soon, maybe...probably...that's classified. Also, why am i not surprised? I should obviously be groaning at that terrible pun but yet i'm used to it. Strange.” As they headed out, they met up with Pinkie and Pipsqueak who showed off their stashes of candy. “Ohhhh. Candy.” Chaos said in malicious way, “Gimme!” “No way.” Pinkie Pie replied, “You already had some.” “Yeah. Only one and it tasted terrible.” “Fine. But only one.” “Awesome.” But just as he looked into the bag Rainbow Dash appeared above them and pushed a cloud eventually firing off a very loud lightning bolt to scare them. Pinkie Pie and Spike screamed in fear but Chaos wasn’t the least bit affected by the sound. “Did you hear something?” He asked calmly. “You didn’t get scared?!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “Nope. Mostly because I heard you and saw you sneaking by.” “Oh well.” Rainbow Dash said disappointed as she took off with her thundercloud to prank another group she spotted. Once she left, Chaos and the gang moved on to where Applejack who was running the apple bob. The tub of water was then ruined when Derpy, dressed in large paper bags, popped out of the tub with the plug in her mouth. “Oh Derpy. You drained all the water.” Chaos said disappointed, “And I was going to go next.” “I did.” She clumsily asked, “S-Sorry.” “Don’t worry about it. It’s fine.” Moments later the mayor made the announcement that all the trick-or-treaters to follow Zecora to the statue of Nightmare Moon for a storytelling. Twilight, Chaos, and Spike tagged along to see what would happen. Once they arrived at the statue, Zecora began to tell the legend of Nightmare Moon and then explained that Nightmare Moon required an appeasing offering of candy. However, at that moment, Princess Luna arrived, in a flurry of dark clouds and her own royal carriage chauffeured by two of her Pegasus guards, scaring everyone off but Twilight and Chaos. “Wow!” he exclaimed, “Beautiful show. Amazing acting. Spectacular. Good Job everyone! You all can come from hiding now. The gig is up!” “Chaos, this isn’t acting. This is real.” Twilight explained. “Wait. So everyone that just left running scared, was genuinely scared?” He asked confused. “Yes.” “Well then.” Once Princess Luna landed in the marketplace, everyone that was near bowed in fear except for Chaos. “Citizens of Ponyville! We have graced your tiny village with our presence, so that you might behold the real princess of the night! A creature of nightmare is no longer, but instead a pony who desires your love and admiration! Together we shall change this dreadful celebration into a bright and glorious feast!” She said in a booming voice. “Does she always speak in a booming voice? And what’s with the “We”? Who is “We?” She’s the only one here. Unless she’s including her guards but I highly doubt it.” “I don’t know.” Twilight replied, “But I’m gonna find out.” Feeling rejected, Luna left the market, and spent some time in front of the statue of Nightmare Moon, which was where Twilight and Chaos found her. Luna complimented Twilight on her costume, noting its accuracy to the smallest detail, becoming the first one to recognize the character. “Thank you. Finally! Somepony who gets my costume.” Twilight said with relief. “Of course she would be the only one.” Chaos whispered, “And probably her sister.” “It was thou who unleashed the powers of harmony upon us and took away our dark powers!” The princess said again in a booming voice. “Sheesh. My god, no wonder she was received poorly. Well, we tried. I’m out.” Chaos said as he prepared to leave. “Oh no you don’t.” Twilight replied blocking his path, “You’re helping me out. Whether you like it or not.” “Fine. But I won’t like it. Unless you give me candy. Then I’ll forget about it.” Chaos and Twilight then tried to explain to the princess that she was badly received due to her booming voice and tone. “But this is the traditional royal canterlot voice. It is tradition to speak the royal “we” and to use an enormous amount of volume when addressing our subjects.” “Oh so that’s why you say “we”. Because it’s tradition and proper language for the royal “majesties” to speak that way. Now that I think about it, I believe that in my world as well, the King and or Queen would also speak using “we” or “us” when it was only them.”  Chaos replied. “But anyways,” Twilight interrupted, “you know that might explain why you appearance was meet with mixed results. I think if you just changed your approach a bit you might be met with a warmer reception.” “Change our approach?!” Princess Luna asked confused. “She means lower the volume.” Chaos explained. “Oh.” Luna responded, “We have been locked away for 1,000 years.  We are not sure we can.” “Sure you can.” Chaos replied, “If I, a creature completely different then you and everyone in this world can adapt quickly to this “environment”, then can you. Also, 1,000-years is a long time. Which also includes changes. Many things have changed since you’ve returned Princess. And one of the more notable ones in this matter is that nobody speaks in the booming voice anymore. Not even your sister uses it I believe. Even though I know it’s tradition to use it, however, there’s a time to use it and a time to use a regular voice. You understand right?” “Yes.” Luna replied, “I see what you mean.” “ Come with us Princess and we’ll take you to see someone who can help you with your voice.” Twilight said as she signaled Chaos to follow her. They walked for a while until the cottage of Flutershy. “This isn’t going to end well. I have a bad feeling about this.” Chaos whispered to Twilight. “You worry too much. Everything's going to be fine.” “If you say so.” Chaos said rolling his eyes. “Now don’t worry princess,” Twilight responded, “Fluttershy can give you some great pointers she’s delicate with the sweetest little voice.” She then knocked on her door but was received with Fluttershy screaming from inside her home, “Go away! No candy here! Visitors not welcomed on Nightmare night!” “What did I tell you?” Chaos whispered. Twilight laugh nervously then said, “Fluttershy, it’s me, Twilight.” The door immediately opened as Fluttershy slowly looked out and recognized her friend. “It is you.” Fluttershy replied with a sigh of relief, “And Chaos. Ah, and Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon!” Fluttershy screamed and slammed the door in fear. Twilight laughed nervously once again as she told the princess to wait for her. She then went inside the house and tried to get Fluttershy to come out. While they waited, Luna asked Chaos if Fluttershy had ever helped him before. “Actually yeah. I used to always have this habit to roar after I had completed a task. Even if it was a small one I always had to roar.” “But how do you have that ability? I never took you as a roaring type of creature. Is that a common thing among your kind?” Luna asked curiously. As Chaos prepared to answer her question, he stopped himself and thought his response over. “Ummm. Let’s just say that I’m unique among my kind. It’s like if you compared yourself with a normal earth pony. They don’t have wings or horns that give them magical powers, right. Similarly my kind are like the earth ponies, normal, and I’m like you.” “I don’t follow.” “Okay. Let’s say that you were put in a room with 100 earth ponies. Obviously you’re going to stand out because you’re taller and have features that they don’t. Now in my situation, I have abilities that my kind doesn’t have. Which in turn makes me stand out from the others.” “Oh. Now I understand.” After finally dragging her out by force, twilight introduced Fluttershy to the princess, “You remember Princess Luna?” “Charmed!” Luna replied in her booming voice, scaring Fluttershy once again. Twilight used her magic to restrain her friend from escaping and brought her to the Princess. “Likewise.” She responded softly. “Twilight Sparkle has spoken of the sweetness of thy voice. We ask, thou teachest to us thou speakest!” “Okay.” “Shall our lessons begin?!” “Okay.” “Shall we mimic thy voice?!” “Okay.” “How is this?!” “Perfect lesson over.” Fluttershy then hurried back into her home but slammed into the door as twilight shut it before she could get in. Little by little and with the help of Twilight, the princess quickly managed to lower her voice to normal. Once she found her normal voice she hugged Fluttershy accidentally scaring the wind out of her. Second later, Pinkie Pie and her group arrived only to see the princess hugging a scared and seemingly paralyzed Fluttershy. “She stole Fluttershy’s voice so she can’t scream when she gabbles her up!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed as she ran away along with her group. “Come on Princess, time for plan B.” Twilight asserted. “That’s right.” Chaos agreed, “What’s plan B? Because I don’t remember talking about it.” “Just follow me.” Twilight groaned. They returned back to the festival and once again the citizens bowed down to her in fear. “It is of no use Twilight Sparkle, they have never liked us. And they never shall.” Luna replied saddened. “Yes, they will.” Chaos responded, “Like I mentioned before, if you guys took in an outsider that resembles nothing like any species in this world and treat him as one of your own, then they will do the same to you and probably even more since you are one of their own. They just need to get to know you. Oh. And don’t use your booming voice. It’ll scare them.” “Right.” Twilight said cheerfully, “My friend Apple Jack is one of the most likeable ponies around. I’m sure she’ll have some ideas.” However, once they met up with Apple jack, she too bowed to her in fear. “Uhhh. Apple Jack, the princess is looking for a little advice on how to fit it around here.” Twilight said to her friend. “Fit in? Really?” Apple jack asked surprised and confused, “I mean, that’s easy. All you gotta do is have the right attitude. Loosen up a bit, be positive, play a few games, and have some fun.” “Fun? What is this “fun” thou speakest of?” Luna asked puzzled. Both Twilight and Apple Jack pointed to nearby game causing the princess to ask, “Pray tell. What purpose do these serve?” “T-Try t-to land t-t-the spiders on the w-w-web.” A nearby pony responded terrified. Princess Luna then tried out the game and slowly began to have fun. As the princess showed her appreciation for the event, the town began to regard her more warmly. She even went as far as to tell everyone to not refer to her as “Princess” but by her real name. However, in a strange turn of events, as Luna, Chaos, Apple jack, and Twilight headed towards the bobbing apples Luna noticed a foal named Pipsqueak falling into the tub. She immediately ran to save him but as she did, Pinkie Pie appeared and mistook the Princess eating the foal causing once again for the ponies to draw away in fear. Luna tried to gain the trust of the town with fun but went a bit to far and caused more havoc across the town. “Well this all went to shit.” Chaos thought to himself. “Since you choose to fear your Princess rather then love her and dishonor her with this insulting celebration, we decree that Nightmare Night shall be cancelled! Forever!” Luna said in her booming voice. "And shit just got worse." Chaos then came up with a way to try and cheer up the Princess without the help of Twilight. He followed her to a small bridge and began his plan. After Twilight tried to talk to the Princess but to no avail, he used his mind manipulation ability to make his shadow seem like a pony. “Well. Well. If it isn’t the Princess of the Night. I bow to you your majesty.” Chaos said in a disguised voice. “T-Thank you. But who are thee if I might ask?” Luna asked perplexed. “I guess you can call me a friend since I have come to help you in your little dilemma. May I ask what the problem was?” “The problem is that this town doesn’t like us. Ever since my Nightmare Moon dilemma, I’ve had trouble adapting to this new environment.” Luna answered. “I see. But you do know that this celebration is about you right? I mean who doesn’t want their own pile of candy left for them at the end of the night?” “But they are afraid of us and they are afraid of Nightmare Moon.” “In a matter of sense yes, they are afraid of you. But not because you are still Nightmare Moon but because you use methods that aren’t seen as “friendly”, per say.” “Explain my dear friend. I do not seem to understand your reasoning.” “Let’s put it this way, if you wanted to talk to someone, like a pony from the town, would it be better if you used a normal speaking voice or your booming voice?” “From what I’ve learned from Twilight Sparkle it is better to not use my booming voice.” “Exactly. It’s the little things that sometimes give off the wrong impression. But neither I nor the town hold it against you, since you were gone for a long time. And it is hard to adjust to these modern times as some would say.” “Indeed. I thank thee for your help mysterious friend.” “It was my pleasure Princess. Until we shall meet again.” “If you don’t mind me asking, could I at least see your face?” “Unfortunately Princess my complexion is not a sight for your majesty. I think it would be better if I remained hidden for now. Maybe one day you will get to see how I really look, but not today. Oh and by the way, your subjects as you call them, they don’t hate you. Yes, they might fear you, but that’s only because they haven’t gotten to know you yet. Once they do they’ll accept you right away. If they could accept an outsider like me into your colony then why wouldn’t they with one of their own? They’ll surprise you. Now as my old friend would say,  “Good day to you.”” Chaos then left the scene before the Princess could see him. Twilight then returned for the princess and came up with a new plan. Twilight managed to lure Pinkie Pie into an alleyway and agree to not shriek whenever she was in the presence of the Princess. Pinkie Pie agreed but shrieked once more as Rainbow Dash pulled her lighting prank again. Trying to preserve the peace, Twilight teleported in front of Pinkie and pinned her down. After Twilight realized that Pinkie Pie was pretending to act scared, she then got a new idea. Around that time, Chaos showed up and asked what he had missed. Twilight explained everything to him and told him what he needed to do. Back In town square, the ponies were cleaning up the mess from before, the Mayor and Zecora reminded all the foals to still give their offerings to Nightmare Moon. Once the foals left their offerings, Princess Luna appeared out of the sky in her alter-ego, scaring the children once more. However, this scaring wasn’t intended to provoke fear but to simply have a good scare. At first, the Princess failed to see the significance of scaring them, but her worries went away as the young foal who Luna saved earlier that day tugged on her mane and asked if she would return the next year to scare them, even if there wasn’t going to be another Nightmare Night. This surprised the Princess, nevertheless the Princess reinstated Nightmare Night causing joy among everypony there. Back in town, Princess Luna participated in more games and accepted more candy from a group of foals. “Well, everything worked out in the end.” Chaos said to himself, “Even if it almost went to shit.” Trapped in his own thoughts, he caught a glimpse of Rainbow Dash trying to prank Twilight and Spike. He quickly went over to Luna and told her the situation. “You see that pony over there? Well, she’s about to pull a prank on Twilight. I think it’s time to let her get a taste of her own medicine. If you know what I mean.” “Yes. I see. Something will be done!” Just as Rainbow Dash prepared to prank her friend, Luna scared Rainbow Dash instead, causing her to scream in utter fear. Luna descended and hovered above the ground as Chaos went over to her and said, “Awesome. Fist bump…I-I mean hoof bump.” “Dear Princess Celstia, When you first sent me here to Ponyville I didn’t know anything about friendship. I met somepony tonight who is having the same problem, your sister Princess Luna. She taught me that one of the best things to do with friendship is to give it to others and help them find it themselves. And I’m happy to report all of ponyville has learned that even if somepony seems a little intimidating, even scary, when you offer them your friendship, you’ll discover a whole new pony underneath. But even after all that, this turned out to be the best Nightmare Night ever. As for Chaos, he seems to be rather comfortable with his new duties and responsibilities. For an outsider from a different world, he does sure look like he’s happy here, even if there isn’t anyone else like him around. By the way, what is Halloween?”
