Chapters Timidthy looked up into the sky as the sky was a bright pink and the sun began to set. Timidthy had a green saddle bag strapped around him as he trotted through the campus. The ground was paved with white-painted bricks, Timidthy was on his way to the colts dorm. The colt dorm's roof was painted a deep blue as it had a manticore sign in it with a bright orange mane and tail. While it had green eyes and it's chat was red, finally it had leathery wing's spread out. The filly dorm had a bright pink roof with a breezie on it, it's eye's we're cat-like as they we're a bright yellow. It's coat was a peppermint red as it had white stripes. The wing's we're similar to monarch's as it's hair was black and in a french braid. Timidthy looked back up and saw stars we're beginning to form in the sky. Timidthy gulped and sped his pace up, he had just made it to the colts dorm and was about to open the door. But unfortunately for Timidthy a stallion with a gray mane and tail opened the door. He also had a pale orange coat and had an irritated look on his face.
"Timidthy I understand you're the son of Princess Celestia but you know the curfew. Not to mention of your not careful you could get kidnapped. Now get inside, your lucky this is your first time or else there would be consequences." The stallion said in a mono toned voice. Timidthy's ears went back as he felt his face heat up, he nodded and ran inside. The stallion shut the door and locked it, Timidthy winced at the sound of the door slamming.
"Now Timidthy I wanted to tell you that you might-" The stallion said before he turned around. And realized Timidthy had already ran back to his dorm room. The stallion sighed and shook his head, meanwhile Timidthy had reached his dorm room. Timidthy sighed it's not like he wanted to miss curfew. But he had been with his brother and sometimes he lost track of time with him. Timidthy opened the door and he almost fainted when he saw what was inside. The room was a mess and a big filly was walking around the room. She had a sunrise yellow coat, she had orange eye's and had lime green hair. She was an earth pony and she looked like she was in the middle of setting up her side of the room. The filly turned around and saw Timidthy's red face as his brain was still processing.
"HELLO! YOU MUST BE TIMIDTHY! I'M GLAD I GET TO BUNK WITH YOU! " The filly screamed, the room shook as Timidthy covered his ears.
"B-Bunk?" Timidthy said as horror came to his voice,
"YEAH! I CAME LATE SO THEIR WERNT ANY ROOMS AVAILABLE IN THE FILLIES DORM! SO THEY PUT ME IN A ROOM WITH A COLT THEY KNEW THEY COULD TRUST! " The filly shouted again. Timidthy's blush deepend,
"I'M CITRUS! AND I'M GLAD I GET TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF ROYALTY! I HOPE WE CAN BECOME FRIEND'S!" Citrus shouted again before getting back to setting up her part of the room. Timidthy winced as he saw Citrus tearing through his stuff and tossing it to the side. Timidthy ran inside and tried to catch all his stuff. Finally Citrus pulled out a small gold bejeweled ring. Timidthy blushed crimson red,
"WHAT'S THIS! " Citrus shouted. Timidthy felt his stomach turn into knots,
"N-Nothing!" Timidthy said as he used his magic to snatch the ring away from Citrus. Citrus shrug as she set her stuff up. Timidthy sighed and placed his stuff as far away from Citrus as humility possible. Timidthy then watched as Citrus messily made her bed up. Timidthy put his saddle bag down and ran into the restroom and shut and locked the door. Timidthy sighed as he tried to calm his beating heart. He turned the shower on as he had a second thought, 'What if Citrus walks in on me? No, she wouldn't, sure she might be loud and messy and had went through my stuff but she wouldn't violate my privacy.' Timidthy jumped into the shower and started scrubbing himself clean. Thirty minutes later Timidthy turned off the shower and came out as he tried to find his towel. Suddenly the door came slamming down and Citrus came in. Timidthy turned a deep red as he tried to hide his soaked form.
"HEY TIMIDTHY SORRY TO BARGE IN BUT I NEEDED TO BRUSH MY TEETH! " Citrus screamed at a petrified Timidthy, she then looked on the counter and saw a green tooth brush. She smiled, took it and started brushing her teeth. Timidthy's face had went pale as he felt his stomach do back flips. Timidthy ran out of the restroom and got onto the bottom mattress on the bunk bed. Timidthy had moved his sleeping arrangement. When Citrus had tore his sheets off so she could sleep on the top mattress. Timidthy looked at the cover, it was the quilt he had gotten for his birthday. And just as Rarity had said she had updated it every time Timidthy did something noble or heroic. Timidthy heard his chattie go and levitated it over to him. Timidthy resisted the urge to look into the restroom, not wanting to disturb Citrus. Timidthy hide under the covers as he turned his chattie on. And saw his friend's had been in a group chat for an hour straight. Timidthy facehoofed and typed:
T: Hey guy's...
SD: Timidthy!
B: What's going on?
M: Yeah you seem upset.
T: It's nothing it's just I got a roommate. She's messy, and has a bit of privacy and personal space issues. She used my toothbrush and tore the room to pieces. I can't believe how messy our room is, it's gonna take me forever to clean it up.
BB: Wait you have to bunk with a filly!?
T: Yes.......
C: I'd move out of I we're you.
T: I can't the other rooms are taken.
T: Anyway I'm too modified and exhausted to stay up tonight. I'll talk to you guys in the morning.
Timidthy then shut off his chattie and levitated back into his bag. Suddenly Timidthy felt the floor shake. Finally the mattress above Timidthy sank down. Until Timidthy's flank and back we're pressed down into his mattress. Timidthy blushed redder and whined, this was going to be a long school year.
A Magical Misunderstanding
Loud snoring that's what the Prince of Therapy heard. It also didn't help with the pain that was beginning to form in his flank and back. From being shoved into his mattress Timidthy wished he could move. But teleporting might wake his new roommate and he didn't want to be rude. Timidthy's eye's began to shut close. As Timidthy embraced the sleep he so desperately needed. Until his alarm clock went off, Citrus woke up and Timidthy wrapped himself up in his covers to avoid the filly.
"WAKEY-WAKEY TIMIDTHY! IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL! " Citrus shouted, Citrus noticed Timidthy wasn't getting up and was wrapped up in his covers. She pulled Timidthy's covers off him and Timidthy yelped. She also saw that Timidthy's mane and tail we're tangled and messy. While his coat seemed to be going in different directions. His horn was sparking uncontrollably Citrus gave a concerned look.
"TIM I THINK YOU NEED REST TODAY! " Citrus said, Timidthy's eye's widened in shock,
"No! I have three tests today, a psychology seminar! I promised Blood Bones I'd tell him about the fear proportions of metal damage! A-And I have to help Season with our science project! I CAN'T take this day-" Timidthy rambled on. Before Citrus pulled out Timidthy's ring of tranquility and placed it on his horn. Timidthy blushed a deep red but had no time to act as here felt a warm sensation take over him. Timidthy felt his mind come to a halt as he flopped on his bed in a peaceful slumber. Citrus smiled and put the covers on Timidthy, Citrus smiled. 'TIMIDTHY CAN'T WORK ON NO SLEEP AND ALL STRESS THAT'S A BAD COMBINATION.' Citrus thought as she walked out the room and to the office to get Timidthy excused for the day.
Timidthy woke up his eye's fluttered as he tried to focus on the world around him. Timidthy felt warm all over with a buzzing sensation in his horn, he was wrapped up I'm his favorite blanket. Suddenly Timidthy's eye's widened and gleamed. Timidthy blushed and took the ring off his horn. He then jumped out of bed and made his bed up and put his ring on the bed. Timidthy levitated a mirror over to him and practically screamed when he saw himself. His eye's we're pale lacking their dandelion yellow color. His mane was a ragged mess while he had large bags under his eye's. Timidthy quickly brought a brush over and made his hair as decent as possible. Timidthy couldn't do anything the bags under his eye's so he ran out of his room. But Timidthy stopped as he saw his brother, his brother looked at him and said sternly.
"Back into your room......very......slowly." Blood Bones said,
"B-But......" Timidthy said as he tried to control the quiver in his voice.
"Now." Blood Bones said and Timidthy did as he said and backed up slowly until he hit the side of his mattress.
"Get into bed." Timidthy nodded and did as he was told, he then picked up his brother's ring of tranquility and placed it on his horn.
"Now tell me what the heck happened." Blood Bones said and Timidthy didn't object, knowing his brother would get it out of him anyway.
Citrus was on her way to her and Timidthy's dorm room, until a red colt with a pompadour hairstyle got in her way.
"So you're the filly who's bunking with my brother." The colt said as if he was analyzing a puzzle.
"YEP THAT'S ME! " Citrus screamed and the colt covered his ears.
"Name's Blood Bones. The brother of Timidthy." Blood Bones said calmly,
"OH I THOUGHT YOU LOOKED FAMILIAR! I HEARD YOU WE'RE EVIL! " Citrus screamed. As it caught the attention of a few fillies and colts while Blood Bones shrunk in shame.
"Yeah I used to be but this about you and Timidthy's room arrangement." Citrus looked confused and spoke,
"WHY'D YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT WE SEEM TO BE GETTING ALONG! PLUS I MADE SURE HE GOT REST TODAY! " Blood Bones refrained from covering his ears as something clicked into his mind. 'Of course! Timidthy would never tell anypony their living habits are wrong! But he didn't tell me Citrus had to get him into bed.'
"Well just try not to make my brother miserable." Blood Bones said as he walked off trying to let his brother fix his own problems. Citrus walked into her and Timidthy's dorm room and saw Timidthy was sleeping. She smiled and put her saddle bag down. She then jumped into her bed unknowingly waking Timidthy in the process. And squashing him into the mattress. Timidthy whined as he was still a bit exhausted from the day prior and now he was stuck in the same situation again. Timidthy tried to get up but there wasn't enough room he tried rolling out but his legs we're stuck like glue. And he couldn't use his horn thanks to have been wearing his ring the entire day. Timidthy's eye's started to flutter close until he heard loud snoring. Timidthy groaned now he wouldn't get any sleep, tears came to his eye's.
"Why me?" Timidthy spoke quietly as he layed there forced to stay awake. But Timidthy noticed his horn was beginning to spark. Timidthy's pupils shrank,
"No, no, no." Timidthy said as he tried to free his front hooves so he could take the ring off his horn. Timidthy blushed madly as he thought back on a book he read about the ring of tranquility. Now as most unicorns and alicorns know. That the ring of tranquility is sometimes used from sexual pleasure. And as you know ponies have limits. Sometimes if worn for too long their horns will spark and blast out a spell at random. Timidthy was so close to taking the ring off. But it was too late his horn spark and blasted Citrus and the mattress above him into the ceiling. Timidthy gasped and blushed redder as he took the chance to take the ring off. Timidthy then saw Citrus and the mattress was now falling back down. Citrus came falling onto the empty support that held the mattress. With a loud rattle and the mattress fell on top of her. Timidthy looked and prayed that Citrus hadn't been woken up. But just as luck would have it Citrus was glaring at him with confusion, hurt........and anger.
Timidthy wanted to say something but his tongue wouldn't cooperate,
"WHY DID YOU BLAST ME!? " Citrus screamed. Timidthy felt his eye's welled up with tears as he began to shake uncontrollably. He felt his face heat up,
"Ummm..........I-I-I didn't mean t-to." Timidthy said quietly he could barely hear himself as he looked up at Citrus.
"YOU DIDN'T MEAN TO!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T MEAN TO!? YOUR TRAINED IN MAGIC AND YOU SAY THAT!? " Citrus screamed and Timidthy started shaking even more.
"Wha-What I mean is that it wa-was subconsciously I-I couldn't control it e-even if I wa-wanted to." Timidthy stammered as he tried to explain without reveling anything too personal.
"YEAH RIGHT! YOU PROBABLY DID IT ON PURPOSE! " Citrus screamed as she jumped off the bed support and landed on the floor. Now Timidthy was staring at an enraged Citrus who was now marching towards him. Suddenly the dorm door opened and a couple of colts we're at the door. They looked like they we're ready to say something but once they saw the situation they went silent. Timidthy saw his escape ducked under Citrus and jumped over the colts while saying.
"Plan my funeral!" And Timidthy ran as fast as he could as he heard Citrus knock down the other colts and chase after him. By then all the colts had been woken up and we're either opening their doors and watching. Or they we're listening from the safety of their dorm rooms. Timidthy was crying as he pushed himself to go faster. Timidthy then saw a flight of stairs and slide down the ralling.
"GET BACK HERE! " Citrus screamed and Timidthy felt like dying on the spot. He could hear the colts gathering at the top of the stairs and making bets on how long he'd last. Timidthy saw the door that would take him to the campus. And without hesitation he opened the door and continued to run. But that still didn't stop Citrus as she ran outside as well. Timidthy ran past the filly dorm and he saw that some fillies had been woken up. And we're watching from their windows.
"TIMIDTHY! WHEN I CATCH YOU YOUR DEAD! " Citrus screamed Timidthy could feel his hooves beginning to crack and blister. And his legs we're burning as more tears came to his eye's.
"Citrus stop chasing Timidthy!" A mono-toned voice spoke out as Timidthy saw a light from behind him. Timidthy recognized his voice, it was the stallion from his dorm.
"NOT ON YOUR LIFE! " Citrus screamed and Timidthy finally spoke,
"Please! If you let me-" Timidthy said before Citrus cut him off.
"SHUT IT! WHEN I GET YOU I'M GONNA RIP YOUR TAIL AND MANE OUT! " Citrus screamed and Timidthy started sobbing.
"Mrs.Citrus you can't do that I'm sure we can resolve this in my office if you just calm down." The mono-toned voice spoke up, Citrus growled. And suddenly Timidthy lost his footing. And he tripped and started rolling down the brick-covered campus. As it started going down hill. Timidthy felt his body get cuts and bruises as he finally hit a tree. Timidthy's vision was swimming as he heard some colts (mostly fillies) gasp. Citrus didn't care thought she picked Timidthy up and slammed him against the tree. Timidthy's vision finally went back to normal as he looked into Citrus's enraged face.
"That's enough young lady! Now calm down and put Timidthy down!" The stallion said shinning his flashlight on the two. Timidthy's ears flickered as he heard the sound of chirping and looked towards the tree. Timidthy's pupils shrank back, and he started sweating.
"Ci-Citrus please you can do anything you want to do to me but please back me and you away from the tree." Timidthy said as he desperately tried to reason with Citrus,
"Fine." Citrus said in a surprisingly normal tone. Citrus the backed away from the tree. Timidthy smiled slightly,
"I'LL HELP YA GET SPRAYED BY BIRD'S! " Citrus spoke at her full volume and Timidthy paled. But before he could speak Citrus threw Timidthy into the tree. Timidthy yelped and everypony went silent as they looked towards the tree. Timidthy saw over twenty birds, Timidthy closed his eye's as the bird's realesed onto him. Timidthy then heard laughter, every filly and colt who had watched was now laughing at him as he was covered from head to hoof in bird feces. The stallion gasped while Citrus was laughing as well. The three heard hooves and saw Blood Bones stop as he stared with concern and shock at his brother. Timidthy was crying as he tried to close out the laughter,
"I'M GONNA KILL YOU ALL OF YOU DON'T SHUT UP! " Blood Bones screamed as his voice went demonic. The laughter stopped as Blood Bones wrapped his brother in his magic. The stallion and Citrus looked at Blood Bones in fear.
"We can meet in the morning. And Timidthy will be sleeping with me for the remainder of the night." Blood Bones said softly as he teleported back to his dorm room. The stallion regained his composure,
"Young lady you are in a lot of trouble." The stallion said as he left. Citrus followed and walked back into the colts dorm. As she heard some of the rumors the other colts we're beginning to make.
Citrus walked into the stallions office. And Timidthy and Blood Bones we're already there. Timidthy was shaking as cuts and bruises covered his body and he cried into Blood Bones mane. While Blood Bones looked exhausted and his mane was in a very loosely made pompadour. Citrus sat on the floor as she glared at Timidthy, Blood Bones glared at her, and Timidthy shuffled away from her. The stallion was about to speak until Timidthy softly spoke up.
"I-I'm sorry M-Mr.Hollow for waking everypony up. A-And leaving the dorm a-after curfew wi-without adult su-supervision. A-And I-I'll take any punishment you gi-give to me." Mr.Hollow shook his head,
"Timidthy I'm not mad. I'm disappointed and shocked at Mrs.Citrus actions, yes. But not mad. What I'm trying to figure out is why was Citrus mad at you? You're a very kind and empathetic pony. You purposely trying to get under somepony's skin is something out of the ordinary." Mr.Hollow spoke with genuine confusion and worry in his voice,
"BUT HE DID! HE BLASTED ME! AND COULDN'T GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION WHY! SO THAT MEANS HE DID IT ON PURPOSE! " Citrus spoke.
"No I didn't! I mean I did but I didn't mean to! And the reason why I can't give an explanation is because it's personal!" Timidthy spoke trying to defend himself.
"YEAH RIGHT! " Citrus spoke,
"Citrus! You need to listen to Timidthy and maybe if you ask nicely he might give you the answer." Mr.Hollow said,
"No I can't especially since she's a filly! I never lie so why don't you believe me!" Timidthy shrieked.
"BECAUSE I BARLEY KNOW YOU! AND I THINK YOU JUST DID IT BECAUSE- " Citrus spoke until Blood Bones interjected.
"QUIET!!! " Blood Bones pulled out a gold bejeweled ring. Mr.Hollow blushed while Citrus raised an eyebrow. And Timidthy hid behind Blood Bones,
"This is the ring of tranquility it's used to relax unicorns and alicorns. When they have magical surges and headaches. But it's also used for sexual enjoyment, I wasn't thinking when I put the ring on Timidthy's horn. So later that night Timidthy's horn had reached its magical climax and blasted a spell at random. So Citrus the only reason Timidthy basted you. Was because of a normal unicorn and alicorn bodily function." Blood Bones spoke and Citrus was completely red in the face. Timidthy was blushing madly as she hugged Blood Bones tightly.
"But where did Timidthy get that at such a young age?" Citrus spoke,
"He got it for his sixth birthday to help with stress. Since my brother us constantly stressed out." Blood Bones spoke,
"And no thanks to you my brother is now the laughingstock of two schools and he can't run away from this one." Blood Bones finished with venom in his voice.
"Alright I've heard enough. Citrus, this will not go on you record but you have in dorm arrest for a week. Timidthy this won't go on your record either. But for leaving after curfew you have academic suspension for one day. No after school activities, no sports no nothing." Mr.Hollow spoke,
"O-Okay I guess that's fair." Timidthy said as Blood Bones levitated him with his magic as it hurt too much for Timidthy to move himself.
"Y-Yes sir." Citrus spoke as she felt very guilty,
"Good but please behave yourselves." Mr.Hollow said as he saw Blood Bones open the door.
"We will after all I need to get my brother to the nurse after what Citrus did." Blood Bones said as he levitated Timidthy through the door and he walked through. Citrus blush redder as she hurriedly walked through the door and Mr.Hollow shook his head.
"I told the Mrs.Calliope that putting a filly in the colts dorm would cause trouble." Mrs.Hollow said calmly.

Citrus is gonna get a solo so her singing color will be yellow!
It's a Start
Timidthy held his head low as he walked through the halls of the colts dorm. The colts we're snickering and laughing at him, some we're making jokes.
"Hey Tim! You gonna take another bath?"
"Be careful not to stand still or else those bird's may think you're a statue!" Timidthy sniffed as he made a break for his dorm, he couldn't take it! Timidthy ran into his dorm and pushed his saddle bag under his bed and he went under as well. Citrus who had watched Timidthy from her mattress felt even more guilt. It was her fault that all the colts and fillies we're now making fun of Timidthy. She had destroyed her and Timidthy's reputation. Now the fillies and colts we're afraid of her and for the one's who we're brave enough gave her insults like.
"Watch out it's Citruszilla!"
"Are you part bull or something?"
"Don't let her get you near a tree like she did with Timidthy the target!" Citrus was glad she couldn't leave her dorm cause now she didn't have to hear those all the time. But Timidthy was unlucky he had to deal with those insults twenty-four/ seven. Citrus felt tears welled up in her eye's and she cried into her sheets. Timidthy was sobbing much harder, his whole body ached. His confidence and self-worth we're at an all time low, and to top it off his phobia of bird's we're worse than before. Suddenly the dorm room opened and Blood Bones's came in, he scanned the room and all he saw was sadness and shame.
"Okay that's it! You guy's are gonna spend time with each other.....outside!" Blood Bones said in a stern voice,
"No!" Both Citrus and Timidthy screamed through their tears. Blood Bones pulled out his chattie which was on a phone call with French Press. Bumper, Sweet Dreams, Crepe, Binkey, and Meadow.
"Uh....yes! Cause what Blood Bones has told us is that Tim is hiding out in his room at any time he gets. And Citrus is so sad and guilty she's not even taking care of herself! Now don't think that we arnt mad about you humiliating and chasing Timidthy! But Timidthy has rubbed off on us slightly so we're willing to give you a chance if Tim's willing." French Press voice came from Blood Bones's chattie. Citrus mane and tail we're tangled and dirty while her coat was worse. It was stained with tears and dirt and it was mattered and going every which way.
"Tinny Tim my cute coltfriend of mine do you want to give Citrus a second chance?" Sweet Dreams voice came from Blood Bones's chattie sweetly. Timidthy's sobs stopped for a moment. Timidthy felt his face heat up as he tried to stop the tears flooding down his face.
"Ma-Maybe bu-but I-I-I-I'm te-terrified." Timidthy said with his voice shaking,
"Well if you come out and if we keep you and Citrus at a distance then do you think you two could get along?" Blood Bones said softly. Timidthy sniffed,
"I-I gu-guess." Blood Bones waved Citrus down who sniffed herself and jumped down.
"Okay first you have to come out Timidthy and Citrus you just take two steps back." Bumper's voice cake from the chattie and Citrus took two steps back and sat down. While Timidthy slowly popped his head out from under the bed. Citrus and Timidthy stared and then blushed. They avoided eye contact with each other at Blood Bones helped the rest of Timidthy out from under the bed.
"Okay I'll be on the outside of the door you two talk and try to get along." Blood Bones said before he put the chattie to his ear and muffled voices we're heard from it. He then opened the door and shut it, leaving the two struggling roomies in awkward silence. Timidthy blushed redder and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Citrus bit the inside of her cheek.
"I-I'm sorry." Timidthy muttered quickly before going back to being silent.
"Yo-You don't have to apologize." Citrus whispered,
"I-It's my fault. I-I ruined our reputations." Citrus finished. Timidthy sniffed and blushed redder at the memory.
"I-I'm used to it." Timidthy muttered quickly as he tapped his back hooves nervously. Citrus blushed redder remembering that she's the one that caused this.
"Ma-Maybe we could go outside and-" Citrus said trying her best to speak up until she saw the fear and terror in Timidthy's eye's. Timidthy's pupils had shrunk to pricks barley having any dandelion color in it. His body had paled,
"Ti-Tim are you?" Citrus said before Timidthy shrieked.
"No! No! No! I can't go outside!" And Timidthy ran under the bed. The door opened and Blood Bones rushed in just in time to see Timidthy's tail slide under the bed.
"What did you say?" Blood Bones asked accusingly to Citrus, Citrus held her hooves up in defense,
"I just said outside and-" Citrus said before a wail from Timidthy cut her off.
"Uh-oh." Bumper's voice came from the chattie,
"Uh-oh!? What do you mean "uh-oh" ?" Meadow's voice came from the chattie.
"It's something personal to Timidthy only me and the cmc know but let's just say it's worse than before." Bumper's voice came from the chattie. Blood Bones sighed and levitated Timidthy from under the bed. Timidthy was curled up in a ball,
"Hug him." Blood Bones commanded Citrus.
"What?" Citrus said,
"Hug him." Blood Bones said sternly. Blood Bones put Timidthy in Citrus's chest and Citrus hugged Timidthy. Timidthy uncurled out of his ball and subconsciously started hugging Citrus. Blood Bones smiled slightly and took him and his chattie outside. Unknowingly to anypony soft and calm music began to play. As Citrus hugged and rocked Timidthy. As she began to sing surprising sweetly and beautiful.
Sorry doesnt begin to repair the damage I've done.
But I want you to know I regret the hurt that I have caused.
I'm sorry for hurting you, I'm sorry for not thinking of you, I'm sorry for the pain I've caused.
I wanted us to be best friend's forever but now it's seems we're best friend's never.
I wish I could go back and stop the harm.
I'm sorry! I hurt you! And I don't blame if you hate me! I'm sorry! I made your dignity shatter! And cause drama forever after!
Timidthy all I want is for you to forgive me so our friendship can bloom.

The music stopped and Citrus closed her eye's. As she continued to rock Timidthy who's crying had noticeably calmed. Unknowingly to the two roommates Citrus flank flashed a bright light. Her cutiemark had appeared. Her cutiemark was three music notes surrounded by small heart's. Blood Bones looked into the room and felt the atmosphere had changed slightly. And he smiled, 'It's a start.' Blood Bones thought. He then shut the door and made his way back to his dorm room. Timidthy looked up and Citrus and blushed,
"I-I just don't want to go outside." Timidthy muttered and Citrus nodded in understanding. Timidthy then sniffed and let his grip go on Citrus and Citrus let go of Timidthy. Citrus walked into the restroom and locked the door. While Timidthy went under the bed and did his homework. And Blood Bones was right for now it was a start.
"There getting better but thing's are still pretty bumpy." Blood Bones said as he talked to Sweet Dreams on his chattie.
"I know, I know and I will." Blood Bones said as a muffled sentence was spoken,
"I know and I'm not sure why Tim freaked out I think the entire thing just spooked him for a bit." Blood Bones said calmly.
"Don't worry I will and I'll tell him. Bye." Blood Bones then hung up and sighed,
"Ai yai yai. If anything else happens I'm gonna explode." Blood Bones said as he left his dorm room and made his way to Timidthy's and Citrus's dorm. When he got there he opened the door and saw Timidthy and Citrus we're reading a book.
"HI BLOOD BONES! " Citrus screamed and Blood Bones covered his ears,
"I guess you're in a good mood." Blood Bones said.
"YEP! I'M OFF DORM ARREST AND TIMIDTHY AGREED TO HELP WITH ALL THE WORK I MISSED! " Citrus screamed and Timidthy blushed,
"You two still getting beat with insults?" Blood Bones said and that's when he saw both Timidthy and Citrus deflate.
"Yeah." Timidthy said as he avoided eye contact with his brother, Blood Bones rolled his eye's.
"Okay well we'll deal with that second. But Tim I need to know why did you freak out when Citrus mentioned "outside"?" Blood Bones said calmly, Timidthy blushed beet red as fear filled his eye's.
"U-U-Ummm......." Timidthy said as he looked at the restroom door looking as of he was considering to lock himself in there,
"Tim you can tell us why." Citrus said. Timidthy blushed redder,
"I-It's personal." Timidthy muttered as he began to step away from Citrus and his brother.
"Brother please tell us." Blood Bones said, by then Timidthy had his back against the windows.
"I.....I-I...." Timidthy said before he saw a bird land on the windows sil as it started chirping. Timidthy screamed and practically ran Blood Bones over. As he started shaking and he slide against the wall. Citrus and Blood Bones raised an eyebrow. And Blood Bones levitated Timidthy's book of bird's over. And walked towards him showing a page that had hummingbirds on it. Timidthy's pupils dialaited and he started hyperventilating,
"Keep that book away from me!" Timidthy shrieked his voice cracking. Both Blood Bones and Citrus jumped slightly, Blood Bones dropped the book and ran over to his brother. Citrus followed and sat by Timidthy,
"I hate bird's so much! I hate it that I'm terrified of them!" Timidthy said as Blood Bones hugged him.
"Tim please tell us, why don't you want to go outside?" Citrus said, Timidthy started sobbing.
"Be-Because I have Ornithophobia, I-It's the fear of b-b-bird's. I-I've been terrified of them a-and I'm afraid tha-that I-I'll run into a bird i-if I go outside." Timidthy said through his sobs,
"P-Please don't tell anypony." Timidthy finished.
"We promise and maybe we can help you get over it slightly." Citrus said,
"Ho-How?" Timidthy said shakily.
"Let's just go for a walk." Blood Bones said calmly as he noticed the fear in his brothers eye's. Timidthy started shaking as tears sprang to his eye's,
"Come on I'll be fine." Blood Bones said as he opened the door and lead his brother out. Who was letting his hooves dig into the floor, with Citrus following. As the three made their way to the exit some of the colts decided to make jokes.
"Hey look it's Citrus you better watch out or else she might step on you!"
"Aww is Timidthy the target afraid?"
"Don't worry Blood Bones it's not your fault your brother is a weakling!" Blood Bones felt like shouting at them but he let it roll of his back. Timidthy and Citrus on the other hoof we're blushing redder and redder by the minute. Finally the three had reached the exit and Blood Bones opened the door. Timidthy just stared he didn't dare leave his spot. Blood Bones and Citrus walked out and looked back to see a petrified Timidthy.
"COME ON TIM YOU CAN DO IT! " Citrus said putting false enthusiasm in her voice. Timidthy hooves shaked as tears welled up in his eye's.
"Come on brother just focus on me and Citrus." Blood Bones said as Timidthy started to slowly make his way to his friend and brother.
"Come on." Blood Bones said. And Timidthy started to sweat as he got to the edge of the door and looked at Blood Bones and Citrus.
"I-I can't!" Timidthy said,
"You can just one more step." Citrus said and Timidthy hesitantly walked through the door way. Timidthy felt his heart racing as his hooves hit the bricked ground of the campus. Timidthy felt Blood Bones hug him,
"Now let's just walk around okay?" Blood Bones said tenderly. Timidthy nodded as Citrus held his right hoof knowing Timidthy needed some support. Timidthy tried to control his breathing as he heard bird's chirping,
"You okay?" Citrus asked and Timidthy whimpered slightly. Citrus shared a worried look with Blood Bones,
"Brother it's fine they won't hurt you as long as you don't engage." Blood Bones said and Timidthy numbly nodded. Blood Bones then turned his chattie on,
"Yikes! I have to go! Brother you'll be okay with Citrus right?" Blood Bones said and Timidthy gulped.
"Ye-Yeah." Timidthy spoke quietly,
"Okay bye! I'll see you later." Blood Bones said as he trotted off. The rest of the walk was filled with silence. As the two walked around the campus and Timidthy gradually got calmer.
"Um......Tim look I've been thinking." Citrus said,
"Yes?" Timidthy said calmly.
"Well even since I got my cutiemark. I've been wondering on how we can clear our damaged reputations at this school." Citrus spoke.
"Yeah......" Timidthy said as Citrus could see the gears turning in his head. Trying to figure out where the conversation was going.
"The other day I saw a flyer for the school talent show. And with my voice and your knowledge on everything relating psychology. I think we could-" Citrus said before Timidthy cut her off.
"Make a wonderful and exciting musical extravaganza that's sure to impress?" Timidthy said,
"Yeah and I know we've never preformed before especially you but I think we can do it! So what do you think?" Citrus asked hopefully. Timidthy looked nervous, he clicked his tongue and spoke.
"Well that's going to be a challenge but it's worth a shot. What else can we lose?" Citrus smiled,
"YES!! I THOUGHT YOU'D SAY NO FOR A MINUTE THERE! THANK CELESTIA!! " Citrus shouted and Timidthy smiled maybe this could work.
Once Timidthy and Citrus got back to their dorm. (And Timidthy helped Citrus finish all the work she missed). They got to planning their number for the school talent show. Timidthy was flying through all of his physiology text and spell books. To find good spells to use while Citrus was trying to decide what kind of music to use.
"I-I'm so nervous!" Timidthy said as his horn began to spark,
"How do you think I feel? I've never preformed before!" Citrus said as she threw out a rap record. The two jumped as the door flung open,
"Please tell me you guy's are joking!" Blood Bones said as he stood at the door way.
"About what?" Citrus said and Blood Bones raised an accusing eyebrow at her,
"What do you think? The school talent show! If you guy's flop then you'll get beat around like rag dolls!" Blood Bones exclaimed with a hint of worry in his voice.
"But if we show a five-star performance then I'll erase all the damage our reputations have taken." Citrus said as Blood Bones rolled his eye's,
"How are you going to perform in front of a crowd of ponies." Blood Bones asked to his brother who blushed slightly.
"I-I'll just march through it." Timidthy said Blood Bones sighed,
"Well it that's the case, we're gonna have to call in the gang." Blood Bones said as he turned his chattie on and formed a group call. Blood Bones put the chattie to his ear and (unknowingly to anypony) the scene split into seven squares. One having Bumper, Meadow, Sweet Dreams, French Press, Blood Bones, Crepe and Binkey in it.
"Okay what's up?" French Press said,
"Yeah I intended group call to be used for emergencies." Bumper added.
"Well it depends on the type of emergency. And to re-build their reputations. Citrus and Timidthy are gonna perform in the annual student talent show." Blood Bones said calmly, Sweet Dreams smiled wildly and shrieked.
"Mon mignon collier ami va jouer et montrer à l'école quelle vraie merveille il est! Meilleur! Journée! Déjà!" Timidthy blushed and muttered,
"Sweet Dreams ne sera pas comme ça, ce ne sera pas une chose régulière."
"Wait.....YOU KNOW FRENCH TOO!?" Citrus screamed and Timidthy blushed redder. Blood Bones rolled his eye's as Sweet Dreams blushed and cleared her throat,
"I can't believe it! Timidthy the most timid pony in Equestria on a stage! Somepony pitch me I must be dreaming!" Bumper said.
"I know a few places to pitch ya." French Press said with a seductive tone, Bumper blushed and chuckled nervously. The other's shook their head's,
"Anyway if your boarding schools would allow it. I was thinking you guy's could help cause they're gonna need it." Blood Bones said.
"Of course we'll come over!" Crepe said,
"Yep just give us a minute!" Meadow said before she and the other's hung up, Blood Bones smiled as put his chattie up. Blood Bones then heard,
"There is no way I'm gonna sing that song!" and Blood Bones shook his head; yep they we're gonna need more help. Just then Bumper, Meadow, Sweet Dreams, French Press. Crepe and Binkey appeared into the room in a lime green flash. (Unknowingly to anypony) upbeat music began to play. As the kid's all started to help put together a musical showstopper. (The scene then slowly moved between scenes; like the one's you see it montages.) from the kid's sorting out through the spells and showing the one's they like to Timidthy. To sorting out the music and passing it on to Citrus. The scene then switched to the kid's writing down lyrics. And splitting their idea's between Citrus and Timidthy. The scene switched to the talent show flyer as it showed the talent show was to happen tomorrow. Finally it switched to the night of the talent show as the music ended. And zoomed in on the kid's as they surrounded Timidthy and Citrus. Timidthy wore his yellow tux with green sparkles on it. While Citrus wore a red velvet dress with orange frill and lace on it. Timidthy had deep flush on his face. As his tail twitched nervously while Citrus was biting her hooves.
"Don't worry you guy's got this!" Bumper said,
"Yeah! I believe in you my Mignon pissenlit!" Sweet Dreams joined in and Timidthy's blushed reddened even more.
"Hey look the giant and the popper scooper are going to go on!"
"Ha! That'll be a train wreak better get your camera's ready!" Two voices shouted, Citrus and Timidthy wilted as they heard snickering and laughter.
"Hey don't let them get to ya! Just do your best!" French Press said,
"Break a hoof!" Crepe said as him and the other's filed out; leaving Timidthy and Citrus to wait in nervous anticipation. Because they we're next to perform.
What It Means To Be Normal
Author's Note
I mentioned this in a past story but two (or more) characters signing a duet is black also just as a reminder Citrus's signing voice is yellow. And Timidthy's is green.
What It Means To Be Normal
The colts and fillies in the crowd waited. As they held in their snickers and jokes for when the known school flops would come on the stage. They only had to wait five minutes,
"I can't do it! They'll just laugh at us!" Timidthy said as he was beginning to panic. Citrus covered Timidthy's mouth with her hoof,
"Tim.....all we can do is try okay?" Citrus spoke calmly. Suddenly soft belled music began to play. And Timidthy nodded as he lit his horn and Citrus cleared her throat. Ok the stage foggy figures of Timidthy and Citrus as foals appeared onto the stage. Blood Bones, Meadow, Sweet Dreams, French Press. Bumper, Crepe and Binkey smiled slightly so far thing's we're working out. And a landscape appeared behind them. One being Celestia's private study and the other being what looked to be a run-down farm house.
"See told you the giant lived in a dump!" One filly spoke out just before a soft voice rang through the crowd.
What does it mean to be normal and one of a kind?
It means to fit in a square or be free from it's binds.
But the one thing that all of us should ask, is how can you be normal when we all have a different past?
The fillies and colts in the crowd quieted down. As the images showed Timidthy being taught how to act like a prince since birth. And Citrus was in a house with eight rowdy older brother's who would scream, pull pranks, beat her up and laugh at her.
I live by order, tranquility and fear.
Timidthy sang as he walked onto the stage and the foggy images disappeared. And Citrus walked on as well.
I live by chous with brother's who never lend me their ears.
We live in different world sure mine may be cushy but do you know what it's like to be royalty?
The music tempo picked up slightly.
Guard's watching your every move. Being in the shadow of the princess of the sun and moon. Being taunted for who you are, can you blame me for wanting to have a chance? Not being good a flying. Being shy rather than charming. It's so much stress that I have to bare! What is normal? If I truly don't fit in.
The music went slightly southern.
Having eight brothers. So much noise! That like to tease you for singing by breaking your toys. Having them pull on your hair and scaring you to fall down the stairs. Having to scream and yell just to get noticed. Having to get big and buff to give your brother's their comeuppance. How can filly fit into a roll when she's been to farliy stretched and pulled?
The music went soft again as Timidthy lit his horn and it showed the audience what a daily day in their lives was like. On Timidthy's side it showed him waking up with guards, maids, and chefs watching him. While it also showed non of them was being as protective with Blood Bones as he stepped out of the room. It showed the guard's pushing documents in Timidthy's face as he sighed them in an effort to get through. Once he got through the maids would drag Timidthy back to his room. And try new outfits on him along with changing his mane and tail style. Timidthy would wait for the maids to leave to make a break for the entrance. When he'd immediately get stopped by Celestia and Luna. Who would hug him tightly until his face turned a sickly shade of blue. Timidthy then would finally be able to leave the embrace and he'd scurry out the entrance. On Citrus side she'd wake up to her brother's pulling another prank on her and she'd get hurt by it. Followed by them beating her up and messing with her mane. And the cycle of chous would continue until she went to bed.
Why do we put ourselves in unwanted binds? One's that make us feel like dirt. One's that cause suicide and self hurt.
When you could be free! And be the pony you are truly meant to be.
The images changed to all of Citrus's and Timidthy's victories and self-achievements.
The way to be normal is to follow what you think is best.
Not to go by a mold that makes you all depressed!
Being normal means to be who you are. We all are different but that just means there is more originality in your heart.
The two sang the last note together as the music ended and everypony was silent, the audience had wide eye's. Including Timidthy's friends. Timidthy and Citrus shared worried looks until the crowd uproared into applause. Timidthy and Citrus smiled, as the scene faded.
After the talent show and after their friend's had left they walked to their dorm and now we're walking through the halls leading to their dorm room.
"Sorry for being so mean."
"You guy's we're awesome!"
"Those brother's of yours are gonna regret what they've done to you ten years from now."
"Hey! Timmy-Titain and Capper-Citrus! Great performance!" Citrus and Timidthy smiled as they entered their dorm room and shut the door.
"WE ROCK!! " Citrus boomed,
"I know right I feel like I can do anything! This is the first time I welcome attention! I feel so elated right now!" Timidthy said as his mane and tail started to frizz wildly. Citrus hugged Timidthy tightly and Timidthy hugged back.
"So Tim how does your ego feel right now?" Citrus asked, Timidthy didn't even think twice as he said.
"Big." Citrus then smiled and laughed and Timidthy started laughing as well the two had never felt more relieved and joyful in their entire lives.
